A note of Franky's fighting style, Oda is a pro wrestling fan and pays homage to it in the manga and that includes in Franky's fights; not only is his moveset full of pro wrestling moves but the fights follow the tropes you'd see in a classic japanese pro wrestling match to a tee, so it's a showcase of fighting spirit where you prove you can take your opponent's best shot and keep standing.

This might have been said somewhere else, but you forgot to mention that Oda showed us how different types of beverages affected Franky in different ways.... Franky could have bottles of green blood from different fruit users and have different fruit abilities....and maybe gain their personality traits?
In essence it's like a weird zoan call back with how users get corrupted by the will of the truth itself but in the case of franky it's a past devil fruit user's personality as well as their memories. My question though is if franky only had 3 bottles to use and oda said baby five's fruit would be perfect for him, would 3 out of 4 of the options be used while one is left out? If so would baby 5's fruit be a good hybrid of weapondy and projection on a helicopter standpoint cause Buffalo's fruit i can see being imitated by baby 5 if she was creative enough to think of a weapon that acted similar to a helicopter propeller. All this in mind just wait until he uses those abilities against the blue haired king who joined nlackbeard's crew as a living weapon franky could swim, slice and smash within his land state. Add Armorment haki and franky could hurt him too long as he can go wurh the flow of his given devil fruit he uses. Who knows maybe he'll need to study his opponent first like zoro did with pica before deciding to go all out In one move that's a mix of 3 phases. The first stage is swimming to get a good examination of his opponents figure. Next he would use baby 5's ability to make cuts and damages at certain places similar to oars like taking out pillars or sorting his enemy before giving the final blow that's bound to be, in word of the British, smashing.
🔥Theory! After seeing how much Franky's personality changed when he used tea instead of Cola, I suspect we'll be in for some wild rides if he uses the green blood. Will we be seeing him with a baby bonnet, bib and pacifier if he uses the swim powers??? He's such a unpredictable super pervert.
I feel like the Green blood would make him start a running cycle, similar to some wacky western cartoons and blast upwards before exploding into a blast of green blood steam as he screams out his iconic ‘OW!’ Before flying down to do some wacky fighting moves.

I agree with this beautiful theory, Franky is due for a remodel and I'll add this: Frankie's new wanted poster (The sunny) could be Oda's way of foreshadowing a scene where the marines are "Funnily" angry because its a ship and not a person, in which they go out of their way to get his picture. When they do get their hands on a picture, it would be Franky in his newest form/model after Egghead. What do you guys think?
If the green blood does carry the memories of the original user, there’s no one better to use it then the empathetic and weepy cyborg barmate. Imagine Franky trying to use Baby 5s blood and learning her backstory mid-combat, and Franky having to fight and learn the devil fruit powers through a storm of tears
I feel like the reason we don't see Franky repairing the ship is cause it would make the Adam wood feel less special if common attacks can destroy it plus if he did have to repair the sunny where would he get the spare Adam would, you could argue he didn't use all of it when he built the sunny but he never said that before or after he joined the crew but you could argue he doesn't have too say that
This is such an awesome video! When I first read we were going to Egghead I was so excited cause I thought this was going to be Frankys arc. Sadly, so far, we haven't seen him do anything of note, at least not yet. Green blood is such an awesome idea. And now, with the introduction of the Mark 3 pacifista and the bubble sheild that they can make thats another potential upgrade. Oda is missing a SUPPER opportunity if he doesn't implement any of these ideas. Keep up the great work!
I think Usopp is gonna get some well deserved upgrades as well with things like the light interacting gloves, the bubble gun and some other stuff he can use to give him a major boost.
Lilith seems to take a liking to Ussop so I think she’ll gift him the Bubble Gun. I had hoped post Wano, that Kiki would gift Izo’s guns to Ussop so he’d mature as an actual armed sniper 💥🔫💥🔫 but it was a miss. Give him the Bubble Gun 🫧🔫 since it’s kid friendly, PG-13 bs lol
I love Franky's post-timeskip design (with his pompadour) because it makes sense, just like you said. It's jarring at first, but narratively, it has great significance, showing his evolution from human, to cyborg, to even MORE cybernetic, continuing even further with General Franky. Franky isn't boring in his abilities, it's just that he hasn't NEEDED any new abilities yet.... but he will soon. Seeing Franky on screen, the wackiness and wild nature he brings is amazing, and his demeanor has only been just as good. Franky has maintained his same wacky, likeable demeanor post-timeskip. Sure, we don't get as many moments focusing individually on him, but he's till the same old lovable macho-soft hearted pervert. Any time he's on screen, it's something good. Everytime he's on screen, he's either really cool or really funny; he's just always a delight to see, not matter the circumstance.
I initially had no doubt about Franky getting a lot of attention in Egghead but considering what is currently occuring in this arc and the attention being pushed towards Bonney and Kumas long awaited flashback, I'm starting to doubt. But Oda is definitely cooking something for him somewhere down the line. Sanji hinted at Franky getting some of Queens tech. And his new bounty poster is potentially setting up something. Also, just an idea I had when watching this. Would be cool if he gives Sunny that bubble defensive technology. Could really help in a battle at sea.
Ye when thinking of a vegapunk arc id imageine it would be for Franky like how an elbaf arc will be for Ussop i really hope they do something big with Franky my man needs more love
One of the few theories that I actually whole heartedly agree with, there are so many relevant connections and theories that you present so I'm stoked to see if Oda will give a major boost of some sort in Franky's character, you're one of the few underrated creators that I happen to stumble upon. Keep doing what you doing man.
One mystery needs to be solved as well; can artificial fruits produce an awakening? It would be neat if Franky was able to awaken the Swim-Swim fruit because of his swim-suit, love of swimming, and relationship with Senor Pink.
Franky with the Baku Baku no Mi has always made sense to me. In addition to making Wapol metal on command (which I believe is only the surface level and can be improved with the right user) he can also transform any part of his body into a weapon he’s eaten and match the qualities of what he’s eaten in a 24 hour period. And if anyone can make use of that is Franky! Edit: Also while it’s not shown if that applies to seastone or not, if it’s greenblood wouldn’t that bypass the seastone weakness??

Amazing that this is still a viable theory half a year later. Also I've been thinking about it and I could see Franky and Chopper being able to make more green blood with Vegapunks notes/help. Related to this it wouldn't be hard for Franky to get some of Baby 5's blood to convert into green blood as she's now part of Chinjao's fleet.

To be honest when my friend first showed me Franky post time skip, I was disappointed, but to be honest, it’s really grown on me and I appreciate that his timeskip reflects all the work he did, largely unlike the other characters except maybe Usopp and chopper who just got wardrobe changes, missing eyes and bigger tits. But also I heard somewhere that he kinda went from a Ace Ventura pop eye to more of a Dwayne the rock Johnson and I liked the switch cuz he references bodybuilder poses but wasn’t never that big. Also it’s worth mention the pun there that he is indeed a body builder, as he builds on his body. Secondly I appreciate the implication, since his head is so small, that he sort of stitched new body parks to his sides, hence the large scars, to make his core big enough to hold the arms, which really gives more credence to his name, Franky, referring to Frankensteins monster, cuz he only adopted it after becoming a cyborg. Lastly, and if your still reading I think you might be as big a Franky fan as I am, I think his goofy arms actually do serve a purpose for piloting General Franky, as well as being a bigger space for gunz. I liked the small cameo of his toolbox being in his arm, it’s very clever and I’ve even wanted something like that once
Incredible, I love the theory and presentation I had my own feeling Frankie was going to get some beastly upgrades this arc, but I had totally overlooked the greenblood. Another possible redesign would be dope too and not something I had seen in the cards for him until now.
gotta say, this might be a hot take but this is one of my favorite theories made by anyone ever, I kinda doubt it will come true but I still think about how fun this theory is and how cool it would be in the story.

I love Franky, and I don't say that lightly. There is nothing about this man that fails to come to together in unison to make him as wonderful as he is. I love (I'm using that word a lot) that he's focused on adapting, and that he brings tools with him to see to it he can answer most any issue that arises. He's basically more capable a fictional character than Batman with his utility belt, and that is an insane claim to make and have be accurate... though of course that's because one series is about realism and the other is about idealism, but I digress. Franky's attitude is charming as heck, too. It's quite something that he blew me away so thoroughly in Water 7 that his relatively low amount of progression compared to the other Straw Hats does not bother me. I think Oda would like to focus on him more, but this late into the game it's crazy difficult for him to "make time" in the story for an aspect of a character to receive a spotlight beyond the East Blue 5, but it will happen in the endgame... and sooner than we think. I can't wait! :) Excellent video, by the way.
Mountain dew? More like solient green, it's made from people, or it's alien communion. Vega punk could show Franky how to make and mold sea stone apart of his body, nullifying logias and devil fruits. Basic haki could be another upgrade, or all past tech in the story.
Im glad someone else thought of this. It’s been on my mind since we learned about green blood, it would be so amazing. Plus making it the Nikyu Nikyu would make that devil fruit numbers thing come true, the last two numbers missing are 2&9. Also it would be great if he could have a few of them and be interchangeable, but that might be too OP 😂 I’d love the paw paw fruit for him, he’s the ultimate pacifista 😁
Like the video says, it's only too OP if he has unlimited usage of the fruits. If he only gets them for one fight, and he's got, say, a 6 pack of different fruit powers, he's gotta ration those out carefully! Using one becomes an event, not just a new attack.
If you've watched the show called "The Boys" before you'll probably know of Compound V which gave superheroes/villians their powers permanently (similar to that of DFs). In the show, they also introduced a temporary Compound V which, ironically, was green as well. These temporary Compound V vials gave any normal human the ability to use superpowers for 24 hours before going back to normal. However, there were drawbacks to using too much "Temp V" which included things like nausea, brain damage, and even the possibility of death. I could definitely see Franky being the one to replicate this entire process with DFs but I feel like there would have to be some drawbacks included if he were able to switch between different low-tier paramecia powers at will. This entire route also opens up the possibility to Franky creating vials for the crew even if some don't use them, like Zoro or Jinbe, who I imagine would say no instantly. I'd like to think that the vials he creates for the crew are much better than the low-tier paramecia powers Franky would have as well, considering it's only one DF power they could gain from drinking the green blood compared to Franky switching between multiple at will since he runs on green blood, so potentially Franky learns to replicate Logia and Zoan fruits at that point in the story. If this did happen as well, my guess is that the characters that have the vials would only take it when they are about to lose a battle and their power up gives them enough to end the battle against overpowered opponents or at least fight on par with them (e.g. Ussop is going to need a massive power-up besides Observation Haki if he plans on beating Van Augur who has the Warp-Warp fruit)
Zoro did get a buff in wano tho maybe not an arc but I do believe Franky will follow the same lines egghead is not a Franky arc but it does seem like he is going to get a substantial amp😊

One of the spots was Ivankovs home kingdom of whatever yea? (Kamabakka) where sanji got shipped off too. So I mean. If we think about it like that. I'm sure the revolution has intelligence gathering. And or it's just simple knowledge of certain locations. I.e I'm pretty sure the kamabakka kingdom. Or whatvert bridge town place Robin got sent to. Would be public knowledge. Love this theory! You briefly touched on it, but this also makes sense with how emotional Franky’s character is! I can imagine him using a former opponent’s green blood and learning about their past through blood line elements (like you mentioned with sr. Pink) then crying about how he sympathizes with that chatacter even more now. All while beating up a confused opponent with said powers!
I really liked your point about Franky being the weapon, hence the weapon can't be misused. Very cool theming wrt freedom and free will wrt seraphim and cyborgs. If he learns how to make it, to extract lineage factors himself, that would be cool too. I was hoping for a sea stone upgrade in wano and never got it, but this would make that up many times over.

I think it'll be kuma's paw paw fruit. 1. In the recent wanted poster of franky, there was no image of him, only Sunny's lion face was there. 2. In sbs, there's a question about frankys possible futures, oda drawn franky becoming literally a warship. And franky's entire dream is building a ship of dreams, so he will get a devil fruit ability to combine with thousand sunny and be a warship. May be this could be in the future as a opposing warship to fight against pluton if maybe Blackbeard got to pluton first.
As a franky fan this video is like chicken noodle soup for my soul. I just hope oda actually does have plans for him, i'm pretty sure he's on record saying franky is his least favourite straw hat so i'm a lil worried we just won't get a whole lot from him overall.

I theorized that after Egghead he would upgrade his body to BF-39, General Franky to BF-40, get a new sword maybe given a Zoan (I thought it would have been cool if he had Funkfreed) or made of Liquor Iron Ore, so I love this theory giving Franky Devil Fruit powers (maybe even the Clone-Clone since both Franky & Bon-Chan are both voiced by the some VA Kazuki Yao)
His bounty poster is the sunny, so if he does get an upgrade like this before the final war, the government and the celestial dragons would be hella surprised by how strong he is. He could be more than on par with any of the seraphim and I would love that. It's so true that he hasn't had an upgrade in a very long time and I would absolutely love to see it. He's the funniest strawhat imo (besides luffy) and I would love to see him play a big role in the final war.
i do think it’s of note though that in the wano, franky was able to stand his own against his enemy without a dramatic upgrade like the other straw hat’s fights (aside from jimbei) and i think that’s WILD. franky is just that guy. bro made sure during the timeskip that his body would handle EVERYTHING. bro isn’t even afraid of running over a yonko.

9:23 Important correction for the correction - He wasn't even part of the team that built the nukes at all, the project was just largely based on his research (E=mc2 and all that) which created the connection. Einstein was a staunch pacifist and just this loose connection already made him feel incredibly guilty, he wouldn't work on the project directly
I actually love his redesign, it’s a natural upgrade for someone like franky his arms and torso is SUPER! Also I really love his fight with senior pink in dressrosa. It shows his manliness Also the loss of his iconic haircut is actually really funny because he can change his hairstyle at any time which is even more SUPER!
That point you made @12:30 just gave me a huge "oh shit" moment...it's been heavily assumed by the fandom that Franky most likely memorized the blueprints that he destroyed, but what you're saying flips that idea completely on its head!
Spoilers! . . . . . . . . . . . This arc has reached a point where we might have only one surviving satellite (excluding York). The final countdown for the arc has begun and Franky has accomplished practically nothing of importance. Throughout the Egghead arc so far he barely gets a passing glance or brief comment from any of the Vegapunks. Now Stella, Shaka, and Pythagoras are gone, and we don't have time left for anything. I believe we can still salvage Franky's character arc though. The question is, what will happen to punk records, now that Stella is dead (probably)? Will the rest of the satellites' die as well? What will happen to punk records, it's his brain in a jar powered by his devil fruit power, so it stands to reason that his brain will wither away. I'm going to assume that punk records has an emergency backup system that will keep punk records functional for a varying amount of time. A time limit on Punk records will keep the Straw hats from being too OP and most importantly will lead to a heart warming passing of the scientific torch from the last remaining satellite to Franky. Maybe Franky will inherit Vegapunks will of creating a global knowledge database. The Gorosei have two outcomes, they stop the broadcast in time and proceed with the buster call on egghead, or 2. they fail to stop the broadcast in time and now they must switch gears, stop the buster call on egghead, retrieve York and generate more mother flame ammo. What I believe could happen is the Straw hats and giant pirates escape and head for Elbaf. Lilith, Atlas, or Edison manage to escape with them and they leave behind Egghead taking a long range antenna with them. Punk records is intact, York is alive and the World Government turns what's left of Egghead into the mother flame factory, because they are definitely gonna need it after the entire world turns against the Holy Land after hearing the broadcast's shocking message. The Straw hats arrive at Elbaf, then Franky and Lilith/Atlas/Edison get to work. With their combined abilities plus the few supplies smuggled from Eggheads lab, they will begin upgrading Franky and the Sunny. That's pretty much the only option left, to escape with one satellite who still has access to punk records. There has to be a big payoff for Franky, because it would be a MAJOR disappointment otherwise. Perhaps S-Bear will sacrifice himself and yeet the Straw hats, the Sunny, the citizens of Egghead, and the giant pirates all the way to Elbaf. I believe the Ancient Robot will be mostly responsible for stalling the Five Elders long enough for the broadcast to be successful in it's mission of saying juuusst as much as the plot will allow lol. Hopefully the Straw hats will be able to unwind on the shores of Elbaf, considering they had all of about 5 minutes to unwind on Egghead. Finally they will have enough time for Franky to speak more than 5 passing words at a time to Vegapunk.
As much as I would love for Franky to get a power-up like Green Blood or Usopp to get a Devil Fruit / improve his Observation Haki / get a new weapon / get a Devil Fruit for Kabuto slingshot, I'm afraid that they are going to remain the way that they are, as a gag side-characters, since all of his attention is centered on the monster trio of the Straw-Hats. I thought that Egghead island arc would be Franky story arc, but it simply isn't, and seeing that my hype for Elbaf arc for Usopp is dying down, and that bums me out...
Giving Franky the power to access and perhaps mix and match devil fruit powers on a timer would be a neat power for him. Like a thing of green blood made from each of the fruit users on the crew would give him so much flexiblity.
Either Sasaki was SUPER weak or Senior Pink was a much stronger man than we give him credit for because unlike half of the straw hats Franky has not shown to have anything hidden away that he is saving (like Robin knowing Fishman Karate and the giant devil form) and hasn't received any upgrades throughout the New World (like Enma, the raid suit and subsequent cyborg body, gears 4 and 5, learning new Haki and advanced Haki, getting a literal spirit cloud living in your weapon, etc) so has had been AS POWERFUL as he is now since they left for Fishman Island and has either been holding back and really nonchalant about his fights or Pink is a Tobi Roppo level fighter. Either way Franky has been a powerhouse throughout the series and if ANY of the 7 warlord's fruit powers are up for him to possibly use, I think having him whip out the Chop Chop fruit and have his lasers literally floating in the air while he rockets his massive fists around would be amazing!
I actually love this, Franky has been one of my favorite characters for a long time just based off his personality and gimmick in the strawhat crew, but I feel like he needs a major upgrade and some development! Given how he spent his time during the timeskip, it'd be a missed opportunity not to develop his character and abilities.

I feel the same way. I loved Franky pre-time skip. He’s felt neglected, and been underwhelming. I would love for him to get this upgrade. It’s also genius to go from coke to Mountain Dew. That’s a great catch.
Hey, what do you think of the MADS ship theory not being about Vegapunk's technology specifically, but Queen's? Or maybe a mix of the MADS scientists? The way that Franky's body works pre-timeskip really reminds me of the enhancements Queen's Zoan form have. The way his neck separates reminds me of the way Franky's limbs separate. The fact that Queen hides some sort of shotgun-like weapon in his throat also reminds me of Beans/Weapons Left and maybe the flamethrower Franky has in his mouth. Queen could have also just assumed upgrades that a less advanced Vegapunk designed I guess.
The best part of this theory is that it's not farfetched at all for Oda to buff a character this close to the finish line. Sanji had to wait 20 Years for his backstory, so perhaps he can still add tools to Franky's arsenal.
Let’s not forget Robin is on the crew and was a significant figure in frankys timeline; multiple hands making multiple punches and weapons left?? Maybe even lazer beams???

It would be cool if he could store different types of green blood. He could have a similar switching method as Sunny, where they’re each their own number. It does make the most sense if he gets at least the swim power, but there could also be the possibility that he can’t get those, because they’re already being used. So he’ll get the upgrade, but it’ll be something new or one we haven’t hear much about
In my mind, the best combo they could give Franky would be Jozu's Diamond-fruit, and Kuma's Paw-fruit. Ultimate Defense, plus an insane power-up to his 'Coup De Vent'. I could also see him using the Diamond-fruit to enhance his "Kizaru laser" into a disco-ball-Death-star for a massive area of effect. Something that could counter a buster call even with the Sunny being surrounded by it.
That's totally fair! Franky flip-flops between really cool and really dumb looking depending on the arc, at least for me. I think he looks awful in Punk Hazard for example, but incredible in Wano. Also Dressrosa Franky is dope haha

This might have been said somewhere else, but you forgot to mention that Oda showed us how different types of beverages affected Franky in different ways.... Franky could have bottles of green blood from different fruit users and have different fruit abilities....and maybe gain their personality traits?

In essence it's like a weird zoan call back with how users get corrupted by the will of the truth itself but in the case of franky it's a past devil fruit user's personality as well as their memories. My question though is if franky only had 3 bottles to use and oda said baby five's fruit would be perfect for him, would 3 out of 4 of the options be used while one is left out? If so would baby 5's fruit be a good hybrid of weapondy and projection on a helicopter standpoint cause Buffalo's fruit i can see being imitated by baby 5 if she was creative enough to think of a weapon that acted similar to a helicopter propeller. All this in mind just wait until he uses those abilities against the blue haired king who joined nlackbeard's crew as a living weapon franky could swim, slice and smash within his land state. Add Armorment haki and franky could hurt him too long as he can go wurh the flow of his given devil fruit he uses. Who knows maybe he'll need to study his opponent first like zoro did with pica before deciding to go all out In one move that's a mix of 3 phases. The first stage is swimming to get a good examination of his opponents figure. Next he would use baby 5's ability to make cuts and damages at certain places similar to oars like taking out pillars or sorting his enemy before giving the final blow that's bound to be, in word of the British, smashing.

I feel like the Green blood would make him start a running cycle, similar to some wacky western cartoons and blast upwards before exploding into a blast of green blood steam as he screams out his iconic ‘OW!’ Before flying down to do some wacky fighting moves.

If the green blood does carry the memories of the original user, there’s no one better to use it then the empathetic and weepy cyborg barmate. Imagine Franky trying to use Baby 5s blood and learning her backstory mid-combat, and Franky having to fight and learn the devil fruit powers through a storm of tears
I feel like the reason we don't see Franky repairing the ship is cause it would make the Adam wood feel less special if common attacks can destroy it plus if he did have to repair the sunny where would he get the spare Adam would, you could argue he didn't use all of it when he built the sunny but he never said that before or after he joined the crew but you could argue he doesn't have too say that
He did say once he joined that if the Sunny ever needed repairing, he can fix it as good as new.

This is such an awesome video! When I first read we were going to Egghead I was so excited cause I thought this was going to be Frankys arc. Sadly, so far, we haven't seen him do anything of note, at least not yet. Green blood is such an awesome idea. And now, with the introduction of the Mark 3 pacifista and the bubble sheild that they can make thats another potential upgrade. Oda is missing a SUPPER opportunity if he doesn't implement any of these ideas. Keep up the great work!

I love Franky's post-timeskip design (with his pompadour) because it makes sense, just like you said. It's jarring at first, but narratively, it has great significance, showing his evolution from human, to cyborg, to even MORE cybernetic, continuing even further with General Franky. Franky isn't boring in his abilities, it's just that he hasn't NEEDED any new abilities yet.... but he will soon. Seeing Franky on screen, the wackiness and wild nature he brings is amazing, and his demeanor has only been just as good. Franky has maintained his same wacky, likeable demeanor post-timeskip. Sure, we don't get as many moments focusing individually on him, but he's till the same old lovable macho-soft hearted pervert. Any time he's on screen, it's something good. Everytime he's on screen, he's either really cool or really funny; he's just always a delight to see, not matter the circumstance.
I initially had no doubt about Franky getting a lot of attention in Egghead but considering what is currently occuring in this arc and the attention being pushed towards Bonney and Kumas long awaited flashback, I'm starting to doubt. But Oda is definitely cooking something for him somewhere down the line. Sanji hinted at Franky getting some of Queens tech. And his new bounty poster is potentially setting up something. Also, just an idea I had when watching this. Would be cool if he gives Sunny that bubble defensive technology. Could really help in a battle at sea.
Ye when thinking of a vegapunk arc id imageine it would be for Franky like how an elbaf arc will be for Ussop i really hope they do something big with Franky my man needs more love

Franky with the Baku Baku no Mi has always made sense to me. In addition to making Wapol metal on command (which I believe is only the surface level and can be improved with the right user) he can also transform any part of his body into a weapon he’s eaten and match the qualities of what he’s eaten in a 24 hour period. And if anyone can make use of that is Franky!

Related to this it wouldn't be hard for Franky to get some of Baby 5's blood to convert into green blood as she's now part of Chinjao's fleet.

To be honest when my friend first showed me Franky post time skip, I was disappointed, but to be honest, it’s really grown on me and I appreciate that his timeskip reflects all the work he did, largely unlike the other characters except maybe Usopp and chopper who just got wardrobe changes, missing eyes and bigger tits. But also I heard somewhere that he kinda went from a Ace Ventura pop eye to more of a Dwayne the rock Johnson and I liked the switch cuz he references bodybuilder poses but wasn’t never that big. Also it’s worth mention the pun there that he is indeed a body builder, as he builds on his body. Secondly I appreciate the implication, since his head is so small, that he sort of stitched new body parks to his sides, hence the large scars, to make his core big enough to hold the arms, which really gives more credence to his name, Franky, referring to Frankensteins monster, cuz he only adopted it after becoming a cyborg. Lastly, and if your still reading I think you might be as big a Franky fan as I am, I think his goofy arms actually do serve a purpose for piloting General Franky, as well as being a bigger space for gunz. I liked the small cameo of his toolbox being in his arm, it’s very clever and I’ve even wanted something like that once

I love Franky, and I don't say that lightly. There is nothing about this man that fails to come to together in unison to make him as wonderful as he is.
I love (I'm using that word a lot) that he's focused on adapting, and that he brings tools with him to see to it he can answer most any issue that arises. He's basically more capable a fictional character than Batman with his utility belt, and that is an insane claim to make and have be accurate... though of course that's because one series is about realism and the other is about idealism, but I digress.
Franky's attitude is charming as heck, too. It's quite something that he blew me away so thoroughly in Water 7 that his relatively low amount of progression compared to the other Straw Hats does not bother me. I think Oda would like to focus on him more, but this late into the game it's crazy difficult for him to "make time" in the story for an aspect of a character to receive a spotlight beyond the East Blue 5, but it will happen in the endgame... and sooner than we think. I can't wait! :)

Like the video says, it's only too OP if he has unlimited usage of the fruits. If he only gets them for one fight, and he's got, say, a 6 pack of different fruit powers, he's gotta ration those out carefully! Using one becomes an event, not just a new attack.

If you've watched the show called "The Boys" before you'll probably know of Compound V which gave superheroes/villians their powers permanently (similar to that of DFs). In the show, they also introduced a temporary Compound V which, ironically, was green as well. These temporary Compound V vials gave any normal human the ability to use superpowers for 24 hours before going back to normal. However, there were drawbacks to using too much "Temp V" which included things like nausea, brain damage, and even the possibility of death. I could definitely see Franky being the one to replicate this entire process with DFs but I feel like there would have to be some drawbacks included if he were able to switch between different low-tier paramecia powers at will.
This entire route also opens up the possibility to Franky creating vials for the crew even if some don't use them, like Zoro or Jinbe, who I imagine would say no instantly. I'd like to think that the vials he creates for the crew are much better than the low-tier paramecia powers Franky would have as well, considering it's only one DF power they could gain from drinking the green blood compared to Franky switching between multiple at will since he runs on green blood, so potentially Franky learns to replicate Logia and Zoan fruits at that point in the story. If this did happen as well, my guess is that the characters that have the vials would only take it when they are about to lose a battle and their power up gives them enough to end the battle against overpowered opponents or at least fight on par with them (e.g. Ussop is going to need a massive power-up besides Observation Haki if he plans on beating Van Augur who has the Warp-Warp fruit)

Love this theory! You briefly touched on it, but this also makes sense with how emotional Franky’s character is! I can imagine him using a former opponent’s green blood and learning about their past through blood line elements (like you mentioned with sr. Pink) then crying about how he sympathizes with that chatacter even more now. All while beating up a confused opponent with said powers!
I really liked your point about Franky being the weapon, hence the weapon can't be misused. Very cool theming wrt freedom and free will wrt seraphim and cyborgs.

1. In the recent wanted poster of franky, there was no image of him, only Sunny's lion face was there.
2. In sbs, there's a question about frankys possible futures, oda drawn franky becoming literally a warship. And franky's entire dream is building a ship of dreams, so he will get a devil fruit ability to combine with thousand sunny and be a warship. May be this could be in the future as a opposing warship to fight against pluton if maybe Blackbeard got to pluton first.
As a franky fan this video is like chicken noodle soup for my soul. I just hope oda actually does have plans for him, i'm pretty sure he's on record saying franky is his least favourite straw hat so i'm a lil worried we just won't get a whole lot from him overall.

I theorized that after Egghead he would upgrade his body to BF-39, General Franky to BF-40, get a new sword maybe given a Zoan (I thought it would have been cool if he had Funkfreed) or made of Liquor Iron Ore, so I love this theory giving Franky Devil Fruit powers (maybe even the Clone-Clone since both Franky & Bon-Chan are both voiced by the some VA Kazuki Yao)
His bounty poster is the sunny, so if he does get an upgrade like this before the final war, the government and the celestial dragons would be hella surprised by how strong he is. He could be more than on par with any of the seraphim and I would love that. It's so true that he hasn't had an upgrade in a very long time and I would absolutely love to see it. He's the funniest strawhat imo (besides luffy) and I would love to see him play a big role in the final war.

9:23 Important correction for the correction - He wasn't even part of the team that built the nukes at all, the project was just largely based on his research (E=mc2 and all that) which created the connection. Einstein was a staunch pacifist and just this loose connection already made him feel incredibly guilty, he wouldn't work on the project directly

This arc has reached a point where we might have only one surviving satellite (excluding York). The final countdown for the arc has begun and Franky has accomplished practically nothing of importance. Throughout the Egghead arc so far he barely gets a passing glance or brief comment from any of the Vegapunks. Now Stella, Shaka, and Pythagoras are gone, and we don't have time left for anything. I believe we can still salvage Franky's character arc though. The question is, what will happen to punk records, now that Stella is dead (probably)? Will the rest of the satellites' die as well? What will happen to punk records, it's his brain in a jar powered by his devil fruit power, so it stands to reason that his brain will wither away. I'm going to assume that punk records has an emergency backup system that will keep punk records functional for a varying amount of time. A time limit on Punk records will keep the Straw hats from being too OP and most importantly will lead to a heart warming passing of the scientific torch from the last remaining satellite to Franky. Maybe Franky will inherit Vegapunks will of creating a global knowledge database.
The Gorosei have two outcomes, they stop the broadcast in time and proceed with the buster call on egghead, or 2. they fail to stop the broadcast in time and now they must switch gears, stop the buster call on egghead, retrieve York and generate more mother flame ammo.
What I believe could happen is the Straw hats and giant pirates escape and head for Elbaf. Lilith, Atlas, or Edison manage to escape with them and they leave behind Egghead taking a long range antenna with them. Punk records is intact, York is alive and the World Government turns what's left of Egghead into the mother flame factory, because they are definitely gonna need it after the entire world turns against the Holy Land after hearing the broadcast's shocking message. The Straw hats arrive at Elbaf, then Franky and Lilith/Atlas/Edison get to work. With their combined abilities plus the few supplies smuggled from Eggheads lab, they will begin upgrading Franky and the Sunny. That's pretty much the only option left, to escape with one satellite who still has access to punk records. There has to be a big payoff for Franky, because it would be a MAJOR disappointment otherwise.
Perhaps S-Bear will sacrifice himself and yeet the Straw hats, the Sunny, the citizens of Egghead, and the giant pirates all the way to Elbaf. I believe the Ancient Robot will be mostly responsible for stalling the Five Elders long enough for the broadcast to be successful in it's mission of saying juuusst as much as the plot will allow lol. Hopefully the Straw hats will be able to unwind on the shores of Elbaf, considering they had all of about 5 minutes to unwind on Egghead. Finally they will have enough time for Franky to speak more than 5 passing words at a time to Vegapunk.
As much as I would love for Franky to get a power-up like Green Blood or Usopp to get a Devil Fruit / improve his Observation Haki / get a new weapon / get a Devil Fruit for Kabuto slingshot, I'm afraid that they are going to remain the way that they are, as a gag side-characters, since all of his attention is centered on the monster trio of the Straw-Hats.
I thought that Egghead island arc would be Franky story arc, but it simply isn't, and seeing that my hype for Elbaf arc for Usopp is dying down, and that bums me out...
So Franky may become Megaman? Get's the fighting-skills of defeted enemys, but it costs ammo? - I like! 👍😂

Franky was the one to initiate the green blood convo with Vegapunk by asking about Senor Pink. He even heard the exposition. Could see it happening.
Either Sasaki was SUPER weak or Senior Pink was a much stronger man than we give him credit for because unlike half of the straw hats Franky has not shown to have anything hidden away that he is saving (like Robin knowing Fishman Karate and the giant devil form) and hasn't received any upgrades throughout the New World (like Enma, the raid suit and subsequent cyborg body, gears 4 and 5, learning new Haki and advanced Haki, getting a literal spirit cloud living in your weapon, etc) so has had been AS POWERFUL as he is now since they left for Fishman Island and has either been holding back and really nonchalant about his fights or Pink is a Tobi Roppo level fighter. Either way Franky has been a powerhouse throughout the series and if ANY of the 7 warlord's fruit powers are up for him to possibly use, I think having him whip out the Chop Chop fruit and have his lasers literally floating in the air while he rockets his massive fists around would be amazing!

I feel the same way. I loved Franky pre-time skip. He’s felt neglected, and been underwhelming. I would love for him to get this upgrade. It’s also genius to go from coke to Mountain Dew. That’s a great catch.
Hey, what do you think of the MADS ship theory not being about Vegapunk's technology specifically, but Queen's? Or maybe a mix of the MADS scientists? The way that Franky's body works pre-timeskip really reminds me of the enhancements Queen's Zoan form have. The way his neck separates reminds me of the way Franky's limbs separate. The fact that Queen hides some sort of shotgun-like weapon in his throat also reminds me of Beans/Weapons Left and maybe the flamethrower Franky has in his mouth. Queen could have also just assumed upgrades that a less advanced Vegapunk designed I guess.
A year has passed and it seems Franky will never get an upgrade...
The best part of this theory is that it's not farfetched at all for Oda to buff a character this close to the finish line. Sanji had to wait 20 Years for his backstory, so perhaps he can still add tools to Franky's arsenal.

It would be cool if he could store different types of green blood. He could have a similar switching method as Sunny, where they’re each their own number. It does make the most sense if he gets at least the swim power, but there could also be the possibility that he can’t get those, because they’re already being used. So he’ll get the upgrade, but it’ll be something new or one we haven’t hear much about

In my mind, the best combo they could give Franky would be Jozu's Diamond-fruit, and Kuma's Paw-fruit. Ultimate Defense, plus an insane power-up to his 'Coup De Vent'. I could also see him using the Diamond-fruit to enhance his "Kizaru laser" into a disco-ball-Death-star for a massive area of effect. Something that could counter a buster call even with the Sunny being surrounded by it.

That's totally fair! Franky flip-flops between really cool and really dumb looking depending on the arc, at least for me. I think he looks awful in Punk Hazard for example, but incredible in Wano. Also Dressrosa Franky is dope haha
