hi. ex-tor project here.
1. Each tor browser tab uses its own circuit. anyone can easily validate this by looking at the circuit made in each tab. so you can safely keep identities separate just by using different tabs. however, going from one log-in site to a non-log-in site in the same tab, within the circuit refresh time (10 minutes), one might accidentally tip off surveillance (ads) from site to site. at least, large exit relays are exiting for thousands of people at the same time, so there is still some protection. You also don't need to restart Tor each time you want a new tor circuit. you can refresh the circuit manually from within a tab, or you can just open a new tab.
2. using tor to log into sites, even facebook, still gives the user physical location privacy. it protect where they are physically. this is essential for domestic violence survivors, especially those who might have abusers who know their log in credentials and are able to see where they are logging in from based on past IPs logged in from, which some services show the user.
I have a question, I was reading that the TBB because its based on Firefox, I have seen concerns of the sandboxing and that it would be better to use Chrome with the Tor service instead. It could be just FUD or extreme concerns but I was just wondering.

Often when Tor is blocked I use some free proxy as last hop. Sadly this sometimes breaks some sites.
Make a full tutorial of i2p Android too.
What about using a TOR window in the Brave browser?
Even Brave themselves cautions that it's not as robust as the Tor Browser.
"Note that Private Windows with Tor Connectivity in Brave are just regular private windows that use Tor as a proxy. Brave does NOT implement most of the privacy protections from Tor Browser."
"If your personal safety depends on remaining anonymous, we highly recommend using Tor Browser instead of Brave Tor windows."

With that said, I'll use it for just quickly loading onion links people send me if I already have brave open :)
what about banks? login and checking?
Usually login to something you already logged in the past through the clearnet is a big no no. Also banks tend to get stringy with weird IPs, I just follow Michael Bazzell's advice and use a completely vanilla browser (Firefox) just for logging in to banks, I do use their containers feature though.

why tor does not support brave search engine?
In my experience, Tor does support the Brave search engine. Brave even has an onion mirror for its search.
Only use tor whit vpn if you have a vpn always on
And only use a trust whorty vpn like mullvad or ivpn
Otherwise its pretty usless...
Why? You can use a bridge if you don't trust your ISP seeing a Tor connection. Adding another hop is not going give you anything but slower speeds.
@@trappedcat3615 mainly for situations where using Tor is more suspicious than a VPN (i.e. most situations where you’re worried about ISP monitoring in the first place). If you’re somewhere like the US and it doesn’t matter that you’re using Tor then you can do whatever you want 🤷♂️
@@jonaharagon I see, but VPN is just shifting the suspicion to a different source from ISP perspective and in many cases those VPNs are a central point of failure. But, I see your point. It makes sense in some countries.
