Chuck, I’m not going to lie to you, this video is exactly what I needed to hear. I pinned this video in my “motivation” playlist. The “organize your thoughts from taking notes to giving notes.” This is really one of my main beliefs with how I really master a subject. I teach it to others. You really got me hooked here. But then saying “Your perspective is valuable.” “Will it be valuable to 1,000,000 people? Probably not. But, it needs to only be one.” Gosh. Boom. Mind-bomb. I love helping people. It’s why I do many of the things I do. I can do something that not everyone can, so I enjoy sharing it.
I just started my homelab journey a few weeks ago while having some time off from surgery as a way to pass the time. Here I am three raspberry Pis and a repurposed enterprise HP server later and I was considering making a website, but I wasn’t really sure what to do. I have several ideas now.
I love this video, not the first I’ve watched of yours, but YOUR perspective was so inspiring. It’s so relatable. I love it. Thanks so much!

Well, consider not everyone has IT, particularly developing experience. Not everyone wants to delve into that. It may be due to time or resource constraints. They know it won't be perfect and probably just go along with it for the time being. But I'm also very sure that, in due time, they can always get to a professional to help them build their website for them.

I create powershell scripts with enough regularity that it's useful but not enough regularity that I can become a powershell master. Powershell just isn't my primary job.
Here recently we've been given access to llms to use in our work and it has made a huge difference in my speed at turning around a powershell script.
Could I do it myself from scratch? Sure. It would take twice as long and I'd have to look up more things.
Ultimately to get the most out of it, you have to actually be able to do what it is you want it to do so you know that it's doing it right

Just another sponsored video, promoting "free" webiste, that collects your cookies (data) and sells for huge money to third party companies. I wonder if there is anything on this channel that was made "not sponsored". Exact this same "scam" as VPN services, that are mostly crap, but are highly sponsored.

Critics without a solution .. easy !! Who doesn't make money with cookies? I think all providers, perhaps .. or which one doesn't?
Maybe the only way is you have your own server but you gotta know how to manage that properly .. otherwise you can get hacked

Hostinger is crap, but Github is good.
He promoted github for free hosting, which isn't sponsored.
A few years ago, he promoted 000webhost, which is owned by hostinger, and it's absolutely awful. But now he just uses github for free

Hello buddy! I don’t understand computers at all, but I just switched from Windows to Linux and I’m trying to improve myself. I’m 40 years old, I won’t become a professional, but I believe it’s never too late to learn. I’ve watched tons of content on UA-cam and I really like your style! I’m watching your videos one after another, and thank you! You explain things in a way that I can understand, and not in a dry, technical manner, but in a friendly and cool style! Thank you for your work!

Hey Chuck, I got to thank you for so much of the content you create and share. You inspired me to pursue something I would have never thought of pursuing. Thanks to your videos, I was able to get myself into networking and it all started with the pihole on the raspberry pi, just blocking the ads on my local network. From there I started to get more invested in networking, and eventually self host my on website. Because of that I was able to prove myself to potential employers and managed to land a NOC tech job for an ISP. It has been a lot of fun learning more and more. Thank you Chuck!!! I hope I can inspire others too just the way you did to me.

Even though this video is sponsored the reason to have a website with the weightage given by you was very much appreciated. It has all the teachings the free stuff, techniques everything in simple terms. The end card of how not sharing what you know is like commiting a sin made me think about it again and again. Overall this video goes into my favourite section and I will watch it again. By the way your daughters are very lucky to have you as their father and keep sharing your legacy to them like always so that they may inspire other young women like them in the future like how you were inspired by someone you said in your video. Thank you been thinking about this for a week without seeing your video and the universe (great mother goddess) bought me here. I see it as her calling. Thank you thank you and thank you so much for this video and information provided. Love you brother.❤🎉

😜! So true. I spent last 3 months or more trying to set up a Windows Active Directory Forest with different components. At every step I ran into a new challenge and I spent hours (&, sometimes 2 weeks) fixing it.
Yes, it was not a total loss. I at least got good exposure to all of those roadblocks.

Great Video Chuck! I love the reasons why you need a website.
    It's very true.
As a Sysadmin with 24 years of experience, I can safely say I've always had some type of website and included it in my resume.
I almost never have any issues finding jobs.
I even left 2 toxic jobs with nothing lined up, and found something within a month both times (although I don't recommend doing this).

Chuck. That video was so inspiring. I have battled with myself to create a website. Funny enough I have hostinger because my pizza restaurant (closed) is hosted there. Creating a tutorial of what you're learning is basically how I taught myself what I needed to know about HTML markup, JavaScript and later on CSS. So the process of needing to share what you've learned while you're still learning can work a whole lot better than not sharing your stuff. ;)
So what you've done here is very interesting, as it gets people to dive into something they'd never bother about doing before. Originally I wanted to share the stuff I did with Realbasic. Trouble is, I didn't have a website in which to share it. So, that's when I went down that route. Or should I say rabbit hole. LOL
