sorry i was late for curfew that one time but take a look at jh.live/training for more and my newsletter at jh.live/newsletter for more stuff like this
So the reason nothing is "recorded" is essentially TOR runs in memory (in the same manner as an in-private, incognito mode).... All of the information is written to temp files in memory, that get purged when you close the browser/kill the process. If you were to do a memory dump/live analysis (and parse with commercial forensic software) with TOR running, you will find stuff. Also even with in-private browsing, if you were to say zoom in a webpage, that information will persist, not sure off the top of my head if that applies to TOR.
So amazing how far your videos have come John, when I found your channel you had less them 100k subs and look at you now! So happy to see it. Keep up the amazing work and keep 'em coming 😁
Hey John, TOR service can also be used as a proxy to route browser traffic. I tried for a while but Edge and Chrome keep complaining about the proxy service 🙂
Thanks for this. One question: Does Firefox set to "No History" do (or don't do) the same thing as TOR? Meaning, if I'm not seeing History in the History tab, then there's no database hidden in the background? Running Firefox 123.0.1
Hey John, great vid! Does Flare have any solutions/subscription tiers for private persons that just wanna dig around for fun/learning and not on an enterprise level? 🧐
In the Windows case: could you put one of the file system monitor things (e.g., from SysInternals) to look at what Tor writes to? (Of course, that presupposes one can explore the relevant aspects that would force the writes).
I still remember the Dark Web video that you ,Ryan and Trilogy Media did! The was scary! Rather it's fake or not is not for me to decide. Believe what you want, but just know that people are into that stuff.
it seems like all i ever see from john anymore are videos about Tor. Kind of sad about it. I really enjoyed the malware reverse engineering type videos.

Isn't it funny that nemesis got seized like 10 days after this video
My man said “for research” 😅

Like a good hacker, John is working at 2am :O
Wonderful video! Your channel has really helped me understanding how cybersecurity works and how to use my stuff better

You can route your entire operating systems traffic through tor
You can also host a hidden service very easy and without needing to expose any ports in comparison to a normal web server
Love your shirts, any chance to share where you get some of these?
This a Huntress t-shirt I have one that one of my colleagues picked up from an event.
You're the Cyber Goat John
THANKS
The thing is the purpose of tor is to be a good and secure with privacy browser and other stuff not exacly for illegal stuff
You are the best 🙏🙏

Tor also hides your traffic from your ISP
So much Flare.
Do one for the i2p network it's more anonymous then tor
Yes! I2P rocks! Its such a shame it's not as widely known and uses as Tor, it has such potential imho.
How do you even use i2p browser

Not accepting email domains from a whole bunch of places. What's that about?
They only want to sell to corpos, annoying isnt it? looks like a good product... wish John would warn ppl about the email thing
thanks Joe Cyber
How can I use flare as an individual for free? I've been in a lot of data breaches and want to see if my stuff is actively out there.
lifelock they do dark web monitoring thats pretty good as for normal web monitoring i cant say its forever changing but hope this helps a bit

I really respect you as your very knowledgeable and your best better than actual hacker mindset
@john hammond how can we track cars or find the address of someone's car with make and model in a specific area?
🤨🤨🤨
Good video.

Please no flare plug 0:03
Great vid, would you ever do a Vid witch Jack rhysider from the Podcast Darknet Diarias?
The content is very good as usual but you seem to be talking in caps lock in most of them which is mildly annoying.
John Hammond took down Nemesis lol
Interesting🎉

Bit confused since last video I can find realted to tor was 9 months ago
Have you not watched the recent videos??
what is i2p?
Peer to peer network. Its a bit more advanced, but seems doable. To communicate with people on the same network. 😺
1:53 Ahhhh!!!!

Christmas music is the best ❤🎉😂
Bro edgar just got nerfed
20% of the video is a sponsor psh
Way to CYA after 5 minutes of speaking and searching. LOL!!!
A whole long video almost entirely about a simple setting in Firefox "Don't remember history" aka "permanent private browsing mode". :P
how does duckduckgo compare ?
Yeah... watching this for "research" purposes.
Flare recent events 666
😮
We need a video about how to track users on the dark web
How isnt that useless
Always use your real name on the dark web
Like a name changes the risks it already seem to have
❤❤❤
It's been a while
