You really need to find a buyer for all the plastic and vinal waste . I just tore down a ice maker and the ice plate was 30lbs of plated copper and the 2 yards here in Tampa only pay scrap steal price of 4c pr lbs for coated copper . Same with stainless steel they only buy it as scrap steel at 4c . I'm going to sand blast the ice plate so i can get the $2 pr lbs for the copper.
Project. What has happened to Stevey baby.? Keep the content coming mate it's dynamite 🧨 and I love watching you you are also giving me a lot of tips witch I will most definitely use when it comes for me to start tearing Into my scrap collection witch is once a year around Christmas time amazing what collecting a few kilos here and a few kilos there adds up to over the year Im a bricklayer but the other tradesman tend to take there off cuts and other bits with them but the bits I do get help out massively around Christmas time like I said anyway keep it up thank you..
Brings back memories of removing silver palladium contact buttons from copper contactor bars. Tedious but worth it, selling gently used ones whole was far better cash though.
Instead of fussing with the copper coming out of the stripper just shoot it streight out onto the trailer loose and pull the vinal off as it goes . That would save a ton of labor right there.
I love your production. The "to be continued" footage is great. It is amazing to me just how entertaining your channel is as a jack of all trades. Welding, logistics, plotting, video, and story telling. Great stuff!
a long time ago an older gentleman taught me to use the second trigger finger when using a drill motor. Pointing the index finger parallel to the twist drill you can obtain a much straighter hole that way. Ever since If I pick up a trigger type anything instinctively my middle finger or second trigger finger goes to the trigger mechanism. It’s an old school aircraft mechanic technique.
I enjoy watching you work. Please recycle the plastc waste as well. You can drop it at the community bins and you don't even need to waste a plasic bag for it. Just throw the plastic in, straight from your bin. So good for the enviroment as well as your wallet.. ;-)
@@ProjectShopFl do you buy the scrap from the electrical contractors or they just give the scrap for free? I doubt they give it away for free cause they know their scrap has value.
Just binge watched Parts 1 & 2. Very tedious work but very creative assembly line on the bench. Nice work! Your creative factor is worth something too, so I say you hit the goal. Could you switch hands to pull the drill trigger? I'm ambidextrous, so sometimes I use both hands and arms to prevent fatigue. I like the new jams and also the one with the banjo.
In this video after you made aluminum donut you started putting copper wire in a barrel, I know in previous videos I’ve seen you say you don’t like using barrels for wire because it’s hard to remove at the yard. I had a thought, you could cut 3/4 1” wide slits down a barrel and then after you spool all the wire inside of it you can tie it up then pull it out of the barrel. Similar to a cardboard baler. With all your hydraulic experience could go need step and actually make a press more like a cardboard baler. Could even make one to press and tie up shorts all laying flat straight together.
Thanks for the suggestion. I usually don't like using a barrel for the copper wire but the pipes were mostly short and not really worth making a donut. I like that idea but for the larger cable I really need something bigger in diameter than a 55 gallon drum.
Don't know if this would be a good idea space wise but it would be cool if you collected a certain thing to scrap over the course of 6 months or a year and scrap it all at once just to see how much you get. could do it with something small like light bulb bases or electrical plugs/outlets to save some space
I would imagine it is just a byproduct of knowing many people and companies that use these materials (wires, powerboxes, ect.), but any tips on how to go about finding places that would sell this stuff to scrappers? Is it just burning up phones and getting to the right people or going to electrical/contractor businesses and such to find this stuff to take off their hands? Great videos, would love to do some of this on the side but the level your doing it at is out of my wheelhouse, good stuff.
You remember the vid you did about the speed trap being tag readers. I just watched it again and commented but i dont know if youll even get to see it. Seems all the comments have been deleted and the views are really low. Just seems odd to me is all
you are rocking now
Thanks 👊
love it
👊
I sure like watching you do this stuff. You are a smart fella.
Thanks!

I think they ripped you off I've sold copper Ice trays for #2 many times.

Thanks, Steave was working on his own project

Love your safety shoes 😂
Great vid 👌
Thanks

Thank you!👊
You work HARD! Respect.
👊 Thanks
What an absolutely awesome pair of wire cutters, between them and your wire stripper machine, great money makers
Thanks
Really surprised no one in fl wants to buy that generator! Is hurricane season overrated?
If it was diesel I'd have it sold day 1

Thats awesome thanks for sharing, I will try that next time I use the hand drill
That was a good load of micro scrapping. There's a lot of work doing that but pays off in the long run. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
It was a lot of work for sure but paid well. 👊
Tideous but o so fun to watch 🫶
Thanks!
Who was the "invisible man" helping you strip the aluminum cable? lol
Haha, I knew someone was gonna ask. A friend stoped by and wanted to run the machine but not on camera.
7:00 Excellent video of the micro scrap, and the tunes!
Thanks! 👊

Thanks, I take it to the local dump/recycling center
Shops can never have to many big red buttons 😁😁
😂😂😂
I am so impressed by how you made up that jig for micro scrapping. It really saved a lot of time.
Thanks 👊
That's some pretty impressive red-necking, job well done. Looks like you got some more really cool pick ups. 👍
Thanks
Just watched your two videos and I’m impressed. Very tedious work but worth it. Keep them coming.
Thanks!
Another great video. It's nice seeing a giant like you getting after the smalls. A lot of people would say, "I ain't got time for that $#!+.
Thanks!
That was a great idea work smarter not harder
Thanks
That's not bad for micro scrapping about 60 dollars an hour. Love the video
👊 Thank you!
It'd be interesting to know how you found all that scrap
Electrical contractors.

Great stuff been looking forward to this video
Thanks
That’s actually some Harbor Freight Red Neck Engineering right there with those clamps my friend !
😂😂😂

You did a great job
Thanks

Of the big wire witch stripes better and easier copper or ally.?
On big wire with my machine its basically the same
ngl working somewhere like this would be fun
It is. 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching 👊

Thanks I'm already ahead of you. I have bulb sockets, LED's, breakers and switch gear. Stay tuned 👊

Thanks, Talk to every electrical contractor and offer them a good price and free pick up. Good luck
I recently picked up a bunch of cat 5/6 wat do u suggest I do to maximize my profits on it or just sell it as is
I just sell off any #2 ins & any communication wire. Unless you have a chopper or it's really thick copper I think it's a waste of time.
@@ProjectShopFl totally understandable
where is your mate that used to help you?
Working on a bobcat rebuilding it.
How about a community discord server!
What's that? I'm not to good with the hole online thing.
Where would a person find half as much of that scrap.
Electrical contractors
At auction

Thanks I will see it. Its one of my first videos and it got no traction
What ever happened to Steve?
He was working on his own project off site
Bro start a barrel fire and sprinkle them in... my fingers hurt watching you
😂😂😂 Thanks for the suggestion
before even watching this I know my problem is already going to be its not long enough
😂😂😂
Awesome video but dude do yourself a favour get some anti fatigue mats your feet and back must just be screaming
Thanks, I actually have some nice ones. lol
