Nice. Brass terminals. I find them also in fuse holders and breakers. Why cut off the cable ends? Just faster? You could make an incision in the plastic crimp with a knife and it will pull off easy. Or just pry it off with side cutters, cut the side, and pull off. The copper goes with the brass wire terminal. Micro scrapping is micro scrapping...

At 01’40”: Maybe it was only the screws sticking to the magnet? What about the pieces of metal they were attached to?
