any time i see someone in a respirator and safety glasses, i feel the need to tell them how much better it is to use something like a 3m full facepiece reusable respirator 6900- way better field of view, way more comfortable, safer, and much better seal on the face. totally totally worth it. the only problem is the straps can wear out and break, but its pretty cheap to replace them

All those Allen screws in those aluminum standoffs are probably either aluminum themselves or they are stainless. I'm betting they're probably aluminum. As far as those things being welded on they are indeed a laser welding on in a CNC controlled machine. They're probably full penetration good luck getting them to come off.

That metal rack turned out awesome!!! I'm hoping to make enough off this last wire run I did to get me a Copper Mine stripper. My little drill powered StripMeister has served me well, but got to upgrade for the volume I'm now getting!!!

Thanks, Funny Stripmister contacted me and wanted me to use their wire stripper. I asked the sales guy if he really watched my channel and seen my set up. lol Those are ok for a hobby guy but if you want be productive you need an industrial machine. Good luck on upgrading.

My guess for those aluminum cable holder/stand-off things is they’re 6061 CNC machined. Very smooth finish and with that threading, just my guess. They don’t look cast to me but idk

I had a friend of mine took a bunch of stuff to the yard today. I've been doing micro scrapping and just putting it in a pile and I'm glad I have. I can't believe how much prices have dropped on everything aluminum breakage is down. Pure aluminum, number two copper, stainless, yellow brass, Etc. It's all down. Steel is holding at $8 per hundred pounds which is about average. Everything else is down big time though. Number two copper has dropped almost $0.60 a pound here.

@13:00 I wonder if heating those up would ease to removal? Like for example, you could pre-heat those to around 50-70c in an oven then pull them out, run the knife over the top surface and then pull from the other side to slide off the other side?
When I saw all that unscrewing at the start I was thinking you could just use a hammer mill to pulverize those things and then run the granules on a vibration desk to separate the metals. mbmmllc channel has a bunch of videos on it.

The heat is a big factor, also if I open my door during the day I get tons of people distracting me and I am usually filming so working at night is a win win. Much cooler and no distractions. During the hottest parts of the day I try and stay in my office in the AC and edit videos. 😂
