"Cooking is therapy" incredible Daddy Jack i have learned so much about improving my techniques and flavors thanks to you. Discovering taragon for example, smashing chicken breast paper thin, keeping a dry pan to deveop pan sauces etc...A million thank yoooz
Cooking with family is a great therapy, but lets not forget about our local restaurants and other eateries. They are still open for business with take out and drive thru. Some even deliver for free right now. These places are struggling badly with all the people staying home and cooking. Lets support everyone in this time of need.
Who has learned lots of tips from Jack just watching his videos? ME. And I've been cooking a long time - thank you for your generosity, Chef, I have family in Connecticut and will DEFINITELY go to your restaurant! YOU ARE THE MAN.
i could watch chef jack cook for hours and not get bored. he is an example of the best sort of person. he puts love and care into everything he does. if more people were like him the world would be a better place.
Another one of my favorite videos to see Daddy Jack! RIP Jack, you are sorely missed as a culinary wizard, but also for your gracious manner, showmanship, humor, and style! ❤️
Looks amazing!! A little asparagus a little pasta. A great meal!!!! Stay healthy, stay safe and take care!!!! God bless!!! Some people can't stay home!!!
You’re on stride my friend. This is one of my top favs of all time, right behind your Seafood Fra Diavolo. Simple, but classic dish. I like having it with cured artichoke hearts. Delish. TFS, Jack!
Your the man thanks for the videos in this horrible time we're all going through helps keep our minds off it but very positive spirt thanks again buddy
WHAT??!! Maybe it was just the sizzle of the chicken,or maybe the wind...but I SWEAR I thought I heard Jack say he didnt have many green onions left...Jack,Jack,Jack...it looks great without the green onions!!!! Thank you much for sharing sir!!!!
Love the videos you put out..... this is real cooking! Really would love to taste your food. Wanted to visit my family from my Dad´s side after 11 years for 4 weeks in May/June, my Grandparents are in their 80´s. Dont think its going to happen this year necause of the virus. Thank you so much for making quality videos among this junk on youtube. Stay healthy and much love from Germany.
Thanks for all the videos! One of these days we want to take a ride down to CT and eat at your restaurant! Was that white wine or chicken broth you added???
Thanks for the video Jack. Wishing the best for you and your employees during this time. I live in a small town. We are doing a “take out challenge “ here to support our locally owned restaurants. Basically your order your food, bring it home, take a pic and tag the business on social media. Maybe you could inspire others to do the same if y’all aren’t completely shut down. Either way, wishing you the best. We’d love some home videos if you find the time.
Wow - this looks so great ! I am done with my work for today in HomeOffice (Europe) so i intent to cook this on my own. I think i have all the ingredients !
Jack " ... I got the fire down kinda low." Shows flames rolling up around edges of pan. All jokes aside this man showed me how to make fast delicious and juicy chicken breast.
The chicken would be good on my home made bread. I found a great no knead recipe I will send it to you. Uses a dutch oven in the oven and it works great and so easy.
Love Chicken Piccata. I think I have all the ingredients to make it as well. Stay safe Jack, see you on the other side of this. Mind you, you could always cook from home, camera on a tripod. ;>)
Your videos are a great comfort. Thanks so much! This is just about a perfect recipe: simple, easy, absolutely delicious... lemons, capers, butter, white wine, chicken! Folks wanting to learn how to cook couldn't start with a better recipe: Daddy Jack's Chicken Piccata!
I love it I just need some green onions and some capers. Edit: Just made this with a side of rice, very unique flavor and very very tasty. I will be making this again thanks Jack cheers 🍻
I just watched 3 other chicken piccata videos to see what Roberto was talking about and they all made it relatively the same way... including Jack. 1 used chicken stock instead of wine.1 dredged in egg and seasoned breadcrumbs but other than that, they were all basically following the same recipe. Thanks for the videos Jack! Hopefully you're not shut down for too long and we all get through this together. 👍
@@CookingWithTheBlues 1st I mean no disrespect to your cooking chef, briefly I'll tell you in Italy it's made and the way I make it, a piccata is basically like a francese, the chicken, veal or shrimp are egg battered pan fried oil drained, butter, white wine, stock. Lemon juice and capers are added last. thicken with a roux , then garnish lemon halves, I found that by cooking the lemon's in sauce it makes dish bitter from the lemon skin. Again I mean no disrespect.
Can still sneak in and cook us a meal,,but no pressure from the room and tickets. Damn virus crap!. Take-out still available at most diners and burger joints in Wa State, but curfews in some counties. Germany is no movement from 5pm till 8 am, , stricktly. Folks stuck on freeways and autobahns,,camped out alongside. Nutty!.
I could watch Jack cook all day, love this guys big heart and demeanor.
Miss this guy

Does he use unsalted butter for cooking?

I'm Italian, been cooking Italian food professionally for 30 plus years In New York and I have never seen a Piccata cooked that way..
roberto how is it cooked normally?
How do you make it Roberto? I learned it from a great Italian Chef, I could always learn more!
