I was Sean Penns neighbor back in the late 90s in Marin CA and he was the nicest guy always friendly and charming.
Wowww you are so lucky!!!😊
🐂 💩
How adorable and cute was Ally Sheedy? Wow.
His answer to the Madonna question gets me every time.
10 years prior to the most tragic day of America
Yes It sure was
THESE WERE THE GOLDEN YEARS 😎...I love Sean Penn eyes 😜
I like Sean. Loved Indian Runner when it came out. One of the best soundtracks ever.
Sean Penn exhibits a level of cool that most mortals will never achieve.
1991 was such a great year for entertainment.
I wish I could be talented and have that kind of family with all the big talents and humor. It's warm and kind and feels together a pie in the sky. They'd stick by my side no matter what. I've been lucky to have what is now that I can enjoy those things in other people. Gotta be there to experience this dear era. 💋
Exactly 1 decade before before 9/11.
This posting is one of few exciting things that's happened particularly today, ah man.. Thanks.
Don you are rockin this channel with great uploads...mucho gracias.
80s and 90s, great movies and music!
In 10 Years.......
The first night of the last 10 normal years ..
It really was. I was 14.
@@taco2947 Yup. Well stated.
@@definitiveenergy1878 I was 1 about to be 2
People, including myself, didn't realize how good of an interviewer Dave was, he was/ is funny, did his homework/ history about every guest, seemed to acclimate to them w/ out losing himself, I think that's why people will remember him longer than well... some of his guests
The Indian Runner and Into the Wild are my favourite Penn-directed films.
Sept 11th 1991 when Herbert W Bush made his, "..new world coming into view.. A New World Order" speech .. i recall where i was when i heard it.. Krogers in Silver Spring MD.. writing a check for 39 cents to buy milk.. dude.
I'm from silver spring haha was there when it happened too
Is this the big lebowski ?
Coming from the laziest man in California
A decade later, America has changed forever.
@@gavinbrando8255 ding ding ding Yahtzee!! But yeah it's a weird co-inky-dink.

Nice editing! Good shit!

Turned 21 in Boulder Colorado that day:)
The Indian Runner-You'll never see Charles Bronson that vulnerable.:)
Welcome back, Don!
Thank Carson Productions, which rescinded their takedowns. I had two strikes from that. Then, last Friday morning, UMG took down the two Prince performances on LS. That got me the third and fatal strike, and the channel was taken down. No way to create a new one.
Then Carson came through after I pleaded with them. They’re great people.
@@dongiller I've been following the whole saga on Twitter, and I'm glad the Carson people are aware of the cultural significance of your efforts. Long live the Donz
Indian Runner is a great movie.
Sorry to do this to you first, but your comment to a question got deleted, so.. I'll ask again. Was this Penn's only appearance on the show?
On Late Night, yes. He appeared on Late Show three times in 1995, 2001, and 2007.
and 10 years later (like i'm the first one to make that joke)
America would Change forever.
Cutie pie.
Was this Ally's only 1980's appearance on the show?
It was.
@@dongiller That's unfortunate. She was such a doll.
I saw him in Indonesia when he was on vacation..
Is Sean a brilliant artist and creator, or does he just talk like one? I’m really not familiar enough with his work to know. He gives an interview that makes Orson Wells sound common.
Hes a reflective contemplative person.
You can't beat Orson for Most Interesting Person. Peter O'Tool is another one.
@@dhh488 nah!!! Oliver Reed!!!
@@zigzagbigbag I agree.
Quite a few actors are complete total f*ckwit idiots, and Sean Penn is near the top of the list...
He's up there with Robert De Niro
A decade exactly before 9/11.
That's not an accident.
And just think, 43 was president.
I want to go find him and snap a bunch of pics
Ouch to Madonna..she and I never met.
Ally Sheedy..love her
😱
Love ally but just watching this made me think of Kat von.d kinda acting like her js
My God, The Indian Runner is that old??? ugh I'm old. lol
Lol. Forward to 2022 and Florida wanting to ban smoking on beaches...
Does he ever stop smoking?
No, he's a chain smoker, smokes 2 packs a day....
How sad...
@@ratso69ful81 I can't believe Sean doesn't have cancer or worse, dead.
1 Decade before 9/11 changed America and the World FOREVER, and 2 Decades before the Super Breakout of 2011.
She's from the breakfast club
Ally sheedy so pretty, beautiful lady.
paul is on the money here.
The Very First Night of the Last 10 Normal Years. Not old Enough to get a Night of Passions with your Girlfriends who go to school with you.
To this day everyone thinks he's an asshole, but by all accounts of the people that are around him the most, say he's the nicest, sweetest guy. He just hates the paparazzi, as most do. I can't imagine having those pests always circling me like vultures everytime I want to go outside. I'd be punching them in the face too.
👍 Very well said.
Wifes too? Punching Madonna is okay for you? He's not that sweet behind a close door.
His two fingers have to be YELLOW
Penn was hittin the pipe pretty heavy during these days
The crystal meth was free flowing
Ommg they had horrible acent , why they speak Like that😮 sean pean Was so cute😊
Did Penn pick the actors ? Bronson plays a very different character than usual......thought he was quite good.....
Excellent. Penn seems to put together really impressive casts for his directorial efforts.
Anybody normal would get sick from chain smoking, Not sure if that is something your body gets used to or you are born with. I remember when I smoked certain things would make me chain smoke, like drinking driving a car ,and gambling etc, And besides the drinking I would get sick after chain smoking 5 in a row. Not violently sick but my body would be giving me a sign to stop. So I wonder if chain smokers had those feelings at the start and continued until their bodies got familiar with it.
He's got a vicious nicotine addiction going on... :-(
Over years your body builds up a higher tolerance for the nicotine intake, therefore the amount you smoke is both habit & need and your body doesn't send a signal to stop. If one is a social smoker of 5 in a row it will make you sick cause you're not smoking all the time. It's like a non drinker drinking 5 shots?
his nerves are making him do it
Chain smoker back in the day ...
Oh boy aren't you lucky! No really!
