    Japanese names work differently, instead of it being like North America names where personal name comes first than your family name, it’s actually in reverse. so kayakos husbands first name is takeo.

    The "face flattening" clip had me in stitches. Along with all the reboots, actor changes (no longer having Takako Fuji), the franchise basically went from genuine horror, to bad parody of itself.

He makes a cat sound because the spirits in the movie aren't all that terrifying infact a lot of people literally laughed and it's not that the critics are too harsh it's just that this was over all the bad movie you don't just take away original antagonist which has been the main antagonist for the past 3 movies and the original movies and most of those spirits didn't look like her or her son Aubrey died and she looks like them while these spirits look like Samara from The Ring and yes I agree there is no accounting for taste I never said anything about that if you like the movie that is fine and pesce did not make a "valiant" effort it's like he didn't even try and at the end of the movie it shows the same thing over and over again will the others are clear concise to the point even the American remakes actually showed you and a few scenes instead of told you this guy however came to the conclusion hey I guess the audience really is that stupid why don't we just tell them instead of showing them yikes and I thought the last Airbender movie was bad I'll looking at the rotten tomatoes and hopefully never see this movie again

    Can't wait till you do the Ring series. It started as a tv movie in 1995 titled "Ring: Kenzenban". The original theatrical film "Ringu" was released in 1998. The original film had two alternate sequels, "Rasen" (1998) and "Ring 2"(1999) and a prequel, "Ring 0 Birthday"(2000). Rasen then had 3 sequels, "Sadako 3D"(2012), "Sadako 3D 2"(2013) and "Sadako"(2019). There was also a tv series sequel to the original film called "Ring: The Final Chapter"(1999), which itself spawned a tv series sequel also called "Rasen"(1999). Then, there's the Korean remake "The Ring Virus"(1999), and, last but not least, the American trilogy (The Ring, The Ring 2 and Rings), released in 2002, 2005 and 2017.

The real fun in the battle would be if the Leprechaun has the Stone of the Secret Fire and the Djinn has the pot of gold, and they try to outdo each other by making the other grant them wishes.

    21:56 That's a typo. In parenthesis it says Heisei 7, which is 1995, so the only part that doesn't match up is where it says 1997 right next to it. 1997 was actually the year Heisei 9, so given that the other written dates conform to Heisei 7, 16, and 26, and 1997 being Heisei 7 being flat out incorrect in the real world as the Heisei era started in 1989, AND the fact that we've seen the years written out in both the nengo era and Gregorian calendar years, we can rule out the possibility that in this universe Emperor Hirohito died two years later, and say with confidence that the newspaper simply had a misprint.
    It's weird that it happened, but accepting someone made a mistake in the prop department when everything else lines up INCLUDING THAT PROP is way easier than assuming we're in an alternate timeline where 1990 was Showa 65 and part of 1991 was Showa 66. THAT would be a definite worldbuilding choice and they'd probably elude to it somehow.

    • @movietimelines
      @movietimelines  Рік тому +1

    I love this video but I got confused with the names on how you pronounce them lol
    Like kayako and kyoko, you pronounced them both as kiyoko 🥲
    But in the juon white ghost, it wasnt the dad who killed everyone, but the brother. The brother was also doing “something” to the kid that’s why the grandma ghost has a ball - when the brother goes to the kid, the grandma would interfere. Akane (high school girl) felt guilty for not helping her friend. It’s a good movie.
    Also I want to add there’s a tv show of juon on Netflix and it’s amazing. They’re talking about the very beginning of the house and such. Yayaoi from the beginning to the end movie version is featured there, the actress, different character 🙂

    I liked the disjointed structure of the original Grudge (which I basically got to see for free when I attended a preview of After the Sunset). I had three basic problems with it though: (1) Why didn't Karen at least try to call her boyfriend to warn him against going into the house, since the movie had already established the ghosts could interfere with phone lines?; (2) How does killing people who had nothing to do with your death constitute a grudge?; (3) If stepping into the house is all that's required for the ghosts to go after someone, why don't they go after the realtor, and does he not notice that everyone he brings to that house dies?

    I’d say Sadako BECAUSE The Ring franchise was there before the Grudge one

    17:14 It took me sooo long to see the face there.. then I was confused thinking it was facing towards the left. I had to go back and replay those 5 seconds sooooooo many friggin times... I was able to see the eyeball eventually and then still could not figure out the angle she was facing... only took over half a minute to recognize the image and see her face looking towards the Camera, but really at the victim that's supposed to be there and is in the next scene)9

    The only movies that I recommend in the franchise are 4444444444 / Katasumi Ju-on: the curse 1&2, Ju-on: the grudge 1&2, The grudge 1&2, Ju-on: Blck Ghost, Ju-on: Beginning of the end, Ju-on: Final curse. The others are pure shit.
    PS. this video is great

    You will jizz your pants when you'll discover that the segments in the reboot are titled not by names but... By years! So it's 2004/2006. I just did your job there! 😜

  • @Xyzillentz
    @Xyzillentz 4 роки тому

    You're gonna need to update this one right away haha! The 2020 film isn't a remake, it's actually another sequel/sidequel that takes place in the same universe as the last three American ones, from 2004-2006.

    • @Xyzillentz
      @Xyzillentz 4 роки тому

      Well... it was originally intended as a total reboot, but evidently at some point they decided it should be a spinoff so there are a couple scenes (probably done in reshoots) that tie it into the other ones. And yet it's still basically a remake anyway because it repeats a lot of the same scenes and plot points...
      But mostly it's a boring piece of shit.
