so just pretend that i say 19 NINETY eight at the beginning of this one, not EIGHTY eight. just a silly goof on my end.
No worries. We all make mistakes!
“People that don’t make mistakes don’t make anything “
Mr. T
I deff was about to call that out
I definitely wasn’t about to call you out on that or anything 😉
I knew what ya meant! Honest slip lol
This movie was made in 1998. So please do your research before posting. Thank u.
Urban Legends is so ridiculously over the top I love it, that ending with the two killers is so intentionally camp it uses the Hitchcock Presents theme as she walks off into the credits. I adore that such a nonsensical sequel to a nonsensical slasher had the balls to consider itself a Hitchcock thriller.
The Spider scene from Urban Legend 3 was one of the nastiest things I've seen in a horror film.
Dem CG spiders are spooky
I like to consider myself sort of an expert as regards horror flicks but Ghosts of Goldfield is a new one on me. Well done for unearthing that one. Gonna have to rewatch the Urban Legend films (but with my son this time) after watching this. He loved the Final Destination franchise.
Did he say that it started in 1988? It was 1998, I was stationed at my first base in Wy. Saw the film and bought a book on Urban Legends at Barnes & Noble right afterwards.
He did! Mistakes happen, but yes he did say 1988 at first
i messed up when reading the script. i got it right through the rest of the episode, but dropped the ball on that first one.
@@movietimelines it happens...add a more authenticity
Sweet!! Thanks for the bonus video, you made my day! Cheers!
Literally was looking to see if you had done this one last night 😂. Yay!!!
Thanks for this my guy
New look is slick!
I remember Ghosts of Goldfield. I only watched it because it has the girl who played Billie (Kaylee Cuoco) sister in the last season of Charmed.
Thank you for the great videos & can't wait to see what 2021 brings👍
Commenting for engagement, will watch later! 😊
The second one was filmed on my college campus. The bridge that they "drive" across was actually not even 100 yards long. Very picturesque, though.
So I was arts and entertainment editor of my college paper best thing about that was the free movies I got to review, Including this one. Fun silly movie. Also I think you know the answer to your question on girls playing with the pillows. I’ve had a few sleepovers in my time and no just no.
I’ve never even heard of this franchise. Thanks, I love these types of movies.
Urban Legends was definitely the kid sister to Scream & I Know What You Did. After seeing this I looked up a bunch of Urban Legends & I remember being more interested in the actual stories than I was in the movie. Although Brenda's insane villain monologue at the end is a real treat & Officer Nurse Hallie's entire performance is simply Devine. They should have gone the supernatural route from the beginning with these in my opinion.
This is the perfect Xmas gift for me! How did you know? This is one of my favorite series of films. We went to see the first one for college extra credit (true story) for our folklore class and counted all the urban legends mentioned in the film. There are over 20 if you pay attention to background conversations and the radio show topics and the like.
Probably my favorite 90s slasher film.
Yay. Thank you so much.
It's amazing how creepy Alicia Witt was in Dune, but how gorgeous she was in Urban Legends even though she looked a lot like she did as a kid.
I don't understand how this channel doesn't have at least 10x more subs.
Great, high quality content here. I have no doubt this channel will grow a lot if it keeps going!
You must be doing this the honest way and not paying hackers from China to unleash hundreds of thousands fake bot subscriptions. Which is good, means all growth is real here and has real staying power.
thanks. it's really appreciated!
YES! 🤟🏾 thank you for this
Hey great vid as usual, just wanna say hope you and your family have an amazing Xmas and happy new year
Thanks, you too!
@@movietimelines thanks
Bro lookin good with that cut
thanks!
I will also admit, I saw Urban Legends: Final Cut in theaters, like a few weeks into my freshman year of college. The theater charged like three bucks to see a movie and was one of those old style theaters, like it used to be a legit theater where plays were put on (it's a coffee shop now).
Anyways, overall I thought the movie was SUPER forgettable (I kinda the like the first one especially if you consider it supervillain university there) but the ending with Brenda showing up....that was worth it. I honestly laughed and clapped my hands going "YEAH!".
It didn't even bother anyone else, because I was the only on there.
That worst Joker still has an Oscar like your beloved Phoenix Joker who doesnt hold a torch to Ledger Joker who also has one
Funnily enough the girl from 'Ghosts of Goldfield' was in the 'Supernatural' episode of Bloody Mary :which was actually really well done for a TV episode
Nice timeline. The first one is underrated and hilarious.
I absolutely loved Jared Leto as joker!! He just seemed extra crazy Lol
Your camera looks awesome and I like the haircut! 😁
love the first two, id love to have seen Brenda return in a sequel. The third one is not the greatest but Id definitely watch a 4th one. However im not checking out that unrelated one hahaha
Nice haircut, my man.
I love them all but my favorite is the first one I love horror movies where the killer is a girl getting revenge for something I love that scene when she’s explaining why. They don’t make enough horror movies like that. My other favorite like this is happy birthday to me came out in 1981 go check it out you might like it and it has a twist ending.
I remember watching the first two, but never got around to the third. Doesn’t look like I missed much, but could be mindlessly entertaining.
Here is the thing. I don't think Brenda knew she was in the car when the boyfriend was killed. The first person she killed was the person who was driving which might have been revealed. They likely didn't name everyone in the car with her. I mean she genuinely seemed surprised when she heard the story. It makes sense she chose to use an urban legend because they killed the boyfriend using one even before we are presented with the class.
Omg I totally forgot I saw Bloody Mary lol. That took me back lol.
I was kinda into Urban Legend when it came out just because I was a Snopes frequenter back in the day back when reading every single page was something you could do in like a day. Think I actually like Urban Legends: Final Cut more, maybe just because of the filmmaking stuff. I'd put Urban Legend as being somewhere in the middle of the late 90s/early 00s slashers (Worse than Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer but better than say Valentine.)
I've seen Bloody Mary but I don't really remember it.
did you ever see DC's Big Book of Urban Legends?
@@movietimelines I don't think so but it's been a really long time.
This was one of the first slasher I saw with Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Halloween H20.
Well. Thanks a lot for a nice bonus video for this week.
Yeah. Not high caliber movies but I know with at the least the first one I didn't mind them. Several coincidences are what keeps the plots going. Gotta love a killer who has this elaborate plans to kill people but instead of making things happen just says "Screw it, let me just roll the dice."
Also. It has an appearance by Robert Englund. He always seems to be having fun doing any role. Well with the first one it has an interesting cast over all.
So yeah. Once again not the highest of caliber of movies but there is nothing wrong with sitting down and watching him. You won't be sitting down beating your head into a wall asking for them to just end.
Thanks for the kind words and I'm looking for whatever else you have for us on the docket. Sure the content with be great as always.
Take care of yourself and continue to have some enjoyment outta life. (:
Been waiting on this one. Great job MT. Have you ever thought to do a timeline of movies that are interconnected but not direct sequals/prequals? Like Pixar or the Conjurverse? Maybe Tarantino movies with like Red Apple cigarettes?
he made the conjuverse, the mcu and basket case
Never had a pillow fight at a sleepover.
I used to get this mixed up with "I Know What You Did Last Summer". lol
How dare you compare this tanning bed thing with the Final Destination tanning bed death?! They're definitely not the same; the only thing the deaths have in common are that they die from being stuck in a super hot tanning bed. While this guy was essentially slow roasted alive by the tanning bed, he got off easier than the two girls in FD. The bulbs & glass cover exploding above them, shooting glass everywhere that's cutting them to ribbons and then the surge of power to the bulbs that catches the beds on fire which burns both girls alive. As a teenager, who regularly tanned every winter, that scene scared the hell out of me. I also lived in rural OK where we had a paper mill, so there were log trucks everywhere constantly. That franchise's kills were so crazy brutal that you can't help but envision them in real life, so I definitely felt the pucker factor anytime I drive behind a log truck. Living in N.Texas I don't run into them nearly as often but even still, it scares me.
I seen urban legend 1&2 and I like them
i never even knew these movies existed
My ass a horror buff 💪 and never knew the OG Urban Legend had familiar cast such as Suicide Squad Joker and Smallville Lex and oh yeah Tara Reid
We did a fun dumb fan commentary for the first Urban Legend but I love the first two Jesus the third is so bad
Changed your camera? Looking sharp!
... this is Like the “Prom night” Series .
Any idea what month the first Urban Legend takes place? Everyone's dressed for early fall or late spring while the killer is dressed for a Canadian winter.
I just asked my wife if girls actually do have random pillow fights and ITS NOT TRUE THEY DONT JUST RANDOMLY BREAK OUT IN A PILLOW FIGHT ALMOST NAKED! 🤯 My whole reality is shattered
3:34 sounds like the plot of i know what you did last summer
Yes!!
Call back to an earlier video made me laugh
well, i'm glad, because it was one of my least viewed videos, so i wasn't even sure that anyone would get the joke.
@@movietimelines well at least I got it
i know about the sequel i never seen any of these
Ohhhh the girl from Dead Like Me
didn't know there were sequels
Great detective work once more! I actually like the original Urban Legend, as dumb as it is...IMO it was definitely one of the better post-Scream slashers (better than Valentine, H20 and, arguably, I know What You Did Last Summer) and it has Danielle Harris - still hot rockin' the goth look. Never watched P3 Bloody Mary but surprised by no Ellis from Die Hard reference to Bochner's character in Final Cut lol
you know, i had no idea that that was him! if i did, i would have guessed him as the killer right away!
@@movietimelines Haha! So true...I actually had no knowledge of a P3 - I just thought the only sequel was UL Final Cut. After watching this video I am in no rush to see it
No reference to the Well-Manicured Man being in Urban Legend either.
Funny I was listening to stabbing westward today.
I only watched Bloody Mary 😭 I probably wouldn’t let the rest or would get bored fast
Did John Ottman get a directing job on his Usual Suspects score?
4:50 Hey look it's Emma Swan
I didn't know it was a series only seen the first, okay I saw the 3 jus not the second
How about Universal Soldier? At least six movies and, I think, 4 timelines
The joker jokes are funny but let’s be real about the fact that we never got to see Leto do this thing. Also this is congruent with the comics of the time which were critically acclaimed. Don’t be that guy and add to the mess.
Not funny.
I'm a DC fan and I'll admite this version of the Joker isn't my style. However, your arguments are true.
This Joker was based on the Grant Morrison's version.
Is it me or is the building Amy sees when she wakes up the building for external shots of the asylum in the 99 House on Haunted Hill?
Or....barring that.....H.A.R.D.A.C.?
The first urban legend will always be the best. THE END!!!!!!!!!!
Do a timeline on Jeepers Creepers
*Pog*
Do a timeline for v/h/s
Urban Legends Should had that Team up teased At end of part 2 .......Not a Ghost movie
URBAN LEGEND came out in 1998.
Urban Legends 3 made me lose faith in humanity. I watched "A Teacher" on Hulu and wanted to see more of Kate Mara. 2 lessons were learned-
1) no actress is hot enough to watch this movie for and
2) she's (Kate Mara) only as good as who she shares the screen with.
Can you please do 30 days of night
Has the demons (demoni) franchise been covered yet?
yes! check out the mini timeline playlist! it's in there.
@@movietimelines thank you!😁
8:25 Maybe it's also an urban legend?
Heather Thompson = Nancy Thompson who is played by Heather Langenkamp, Anybody?
Fun Fact: In February 2020, It was informed that Urban Legend Franchise is going to be REBOOTED!
I know! I heard and it broke my heart to realize I’m never gonna make my own remake of it, but that’s reality tho...😪
You still planning on doing Uwe Bolls Rampage trilogy for Action Timeliness?
Uwe Boll Dead Last, when???
@@alchemypotato that'd be cool. Iv seen a lot of Bolls films, and despite his reputation, he's actually made 8 or 9 very good films. Unfortunately it's his bad films that get the most attention.
@@Jake-nl3er I don't even know how to reply to this lol.
@@alchemypotato have you seen his films like Stoic, Darfur, and Assault on Wall Street? They're pretty good. It's mainly his video game adaptations that are shit.
action timelines has kinda been put on hiatus for a while, but anything is possible at this point.
theres a 3rd one
theres a 4th one
1:33 which joker are talking which movie or tv show
the jared leto "joker" from suicide squad
@@movietimelines hes not that bad
@@movietimelines I agree - worst Joker ever, which was a big disappointment to me as I usually like Leto (American Psycho, Blade Runner 2049, Dallas Buyers Club, Fight Club, etc)...but his ott, 'gangsta' Joker was woeful
I want you to know that you have forgot to include the Candyman films with this he is also one of the urban legend stories long was bloody Mary and the others Indiana but yeah but as for that one movie that you left out that also counts to because it’s all part of the legends same thing with when a stranger calls they’re all urban legends
And yes get home to Paul or give me a good timeline on all movies that is the urban legend lore and I hope that you can and that if you like but I still vote 3000×4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1988?
Demons, Demons 2 & Demons 3 The Church?
As cheap as UL: Bloody Mary looks, it was still pretty entertaining. I’m a sucker for B rated and copy cat slashers
I used to have the biggest crush on Tara Reid when I was a kid. She was super hot
Leto is the worst Joker
, Mark Hamill will always be the best
A very cheesy but enjoyable franchise.
What Rebecca Gayheart did was an accident. SIT DOWN💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺💺
hey, just out of curiosity....what did Rebecca gayheart do?
@@movietimelines you just said it on your video I'm not stupid
great. so what did i say in the video again?
@@movietimelines that Natalie and her homegirl killed a man with her car. And then you said it that Rebecca Gayheart killed some kid with her can. Again, she didn't do it on purpose
i didn’t say she did it on purpose. i said she killed a kid with her car, which is literally what happened.
Are you 30
Tara Reid's "acting" = Barf
she is Hot in Urban legend 2,unlike sharknado 1 to 90
i like the first two but that third film sucks ass just like the I know what you did last summer series first two are fun and entertaining and the third one just should not exist
