I will probably never watch these, because I'm not even a fan of most good haunted house movies, but I respect the hell out of this series. I really dug the concept of the Mandela Effect one, just a whole movie of "But Here's What Really Happened" kinda stuff. If anything, this guy deserves props for taking the overdone idea of a Paranormal Activity rip-off, and trying all sorts of wild takes on it.
Cool to see someone putting on a truly one-man show.
And it's not even on the hub, so that's really an achievement!
I followed this series by complete whim and I've come to adore it. I was checking out found footage crap and Bad Ben came up. After watching the atrocity of the first film I was mystified that there were so many sequels. Each one becomes more self-aware than the last, and I can't get enough!

Thank you for helping to make quarantine enjoyable. I've never heard of the Bad Ben series, but the concept sounds amazing. For decades I have said I wish I could make my own Horror movie & Nigel/Tom gives me hope it can still happen. I love the idea of supernatural stuff happening to a guy who just doesn't care. I'll have to try to find at least the first one online.

I'm just thinking of all those trashy shows (you know "I'm cheating on you with your mother" "you're definitely the father of this baby" "why won't you believe that my father has been reincarnated as a Volkswagen beetle") where people inevitably start screaming, and they usually shoehorn in a sassy black woman stereotype to say "oh hell no!"

If anything, these movies should be an inspiration to everyone. Follow your dreams! Yes, you too can make movies, even if you do literally everything by yourself for no money! It could turn into a 7-movie series that, who knows, could have another twelve movies five years from now!

the first one is worth a watch. if you don't like it, you won't like any of the others, though.
honestly, watch it with another person to help get you through it, because 98.9% of it is actual dogshite. BUT. BUT. The fucking rest of it is so unintentionally hilarious, that it makes up for it and then some. I've watched all of them (except the last one because theyre now behind a pay wall) and that shit had us tearing up something nasty
The first one is cool, even if I only gave it a chance because I thought it was a nice house.
The guy responds to all of the haunting like I would, so that's what did it for me. More or less: "Fuck off, ghost. I'm not moving. You move."

Bad Ben: The Mandela Effect has an interesting concept at the very least
Crescent Moon Clown was the best just for the ending. Haunted Highway was a decent attempt at expanding the universe + demonstrating some self-awareness, though.
I couldn’t begin to comprehend the patience you have to be able to watch so many home movies. I can however say, thank you for putting in all this time during quarantine

When the ghost bumps the coffee table it almost gave me a heart attack. Then when the homeowner gets killed I didn't blink once.
Jesus christ....how! How could you sit through all of these 1 after another. That is basically falling onto a grenade and taking one for the squad. You certainly are going to need a pallet cleanser after all of this is said and done. May I suggest a mini-time line with The Amazing Colossal Man and the War of the Colossal Beast. It's just 2, 70 min films lol! :P
trust me, after this week, I’ve got some much better quality films coming up as a palate cleanser!

I used to think I was something of a low-budget horror movie buff. Then I started watching Movie Timelines 😅.
Now I feel like a few hundred K is as low as I'm willing to go... What's the lowest-budget film YOU'VE ever _really_ enjoyed?
i've enjoyed a bunch of super cheapies, and i have to say that i actually did enjoy the first bad ben, but i think the absolute best movies with the lowest budgets are Primer ($7000) and the Battery ($6000).

A film with this tiny of a budget could possibly maybe work, if a decent screenplay was written. I'm just guessing, though, lol.

I feel kinda guilty for suggesting this and putting you through that. I will say that I did like, in the first one, that he realized it was a ghost and was just stubborn. Seems like a lot of movies are people denying there is a ghost or just being idiots for most the movie.
So where do you find all of these movies? It's not like there are commercials on TV for them or anything like that.

I do like found footage movies but I’m Kossuth bad burn when it says that translations means bad films more than better than being bad films are bad burn still the same but I do like found footage is no way anyone can make anything worse than those movies in my opinion but I do I found footage no it’s more than like I love fun for the movies but just reviewing my alley or something like that I don’t know
The truth is bad burn is translated as bad films
In response to your “Uber exists” remark: I know it’s a foreign concept to those of use that live in Southern California, but there are a lot of places in the US where ride share programs aren’t a thing yet
So tell me if I'm wrong, but it started out cheaply, cheesily, and badly. Then they got stranger and more pointless.

At least these films are just boring. I may be alone in this opinion, but nothing happening is nowhere near as bad as complete filth-fests like "Filthy McNasty" or "Mulva".
