二十年前我被这首歌拯救过。那是在北京，2005年1月1日。元旦。当时我退了前不久刚考上的北京的大学，因为我中学起一直热爱摇滚乐，梦想未来去北京组原创摇滚乐队，但是我从小成长的那个偏远落后小县城，根本没有什么条件，家里也极其反对我听摇滚弹吉他，身边也没几个听摇滚的朋友，孤独苦闷度过了整个中学时代，唯一的出路就是通过高考去北京，而因为当时的信息闭塞我并不知道中国有学校可以学到录音制作之类的东西，只是我一直听摇滚乐专辑买摇滚杂志，对这个职业有所耳闻但完全没渠道深入了解。所以当我得知居然有大学开设了录音专业时我极其后悔没能早点知道。为了离唱片行业和我的原创摇滚乐梦想近一些，我不顾家人的反对，退学，学习音乐，准备艺考和复读，钱都拿去学音乐了，住地下室，一星期生活费控制在五十元以内。但是毕竟对未来完全没有把握，不知道能不能考得上，更不知道能不能做成一个原创摇滚乐队。在艰苦的环境里时常陷入焦虑惶恐自我怀疑。就在元旦那天，身边有人要去网吧包夜打游戏来"过节"，我也一起去网吧了，但我不打游戏我就是看摇滚视频，然后我看到了这个mv……那晚我循环了无数遍。mv里这个被赶出家流浪的女孩，我仿佛看到了自己的影子，而最后那个逐渐变得五彩缤纷的广阔天地，让我感动得泪流不止……无论任何时候当被问起，sevendust都是我最喜欢的乐队之一，这首歌也是我最喜欢的歌之一，感谢你们，在二十年前那个寒冷冬夜北京的一个破网吧里，你们这首歌给了一个迷茫少年对于未来的信心和勇气。

Personally it’s my second favorite album from Sevendust, although I give it credit to introducing me to my favorite band of all time since the end of 2001. My personal favorite album from them is their follow up, Seasons, although you can’t go wrong with pretty much any album from them.

I really have no idea what’s held this band back for over twenty years. They always seem like they’re on the cusp to make it big...but they just never seem to make their just due. I’ve followed them for almost 20 years. They’re clearly one of the hardest working acts out there even if they haven’t made it into mainstream popularity.
A band as talented as them deserve so much better but they have been carrying on regardless. A hell yes to them.

I got to hear 7D last summer at a local band festival, 7D comes there almost every year! A small town fest and they love playing there and show it greatly. Amazing to see and hear their genuine musical power and Ill always love them.

I saw Sevendust back in '04 at the Bayfront Auditorium in Pensacola, FL with Ill Nino. Sevendust was amazing live, and Ill Nino rocked the house. I've been listening to Sevendust since '97, and this song somehow has flown under the radar for me until now. This just came up on my Pandora station and I came here and gave it a couple more listens. I have no doubt this would be a radio hit if it were released today...
