It is such a shame that these guys are not super famous. Everyone in the rock\metal music genres seem to respect these guys jet they are one of the more underrated signed bands in the entire world. Atleast Sevendust fans understand that these guys are legends even if the rest of the world does not get it.
Financially for them I wish they were super huge rock stars but for some reason I don't think that that means anything. These guys have brought us music. And have had a family cult of fans for years and I'm sure they've done quite well for themselves. The thing that I feel the worst about is other people not being able to witness this great music.

Just got out of a relationship with a bipolar girl (genuinely, diagnosed, not being mean or insulting here). And the lyrics in this song described my brief but pretty damaging experience dating her to a tee. I thought I related to this song before but man, these lyrics hit and resonate very hard with me now. Especially the part about "You sold a broken dream, you were not there for me, I was unraveling". She made so many promises she never kept, did everything in her power, without provocation or an invitation from me mind you, to convince me this was real, we had a future, etc. Then just flaked and walked away from it all, dropping off the radar. You don't really get closure from that sort of thing, you just get left feeling cold, hollow, and breathless. I don't demonize her, I sympathize with her struggles, especially because of her past, the first verse stings because the line: "So tell me one thing Who gave you all those scars That took away your innocence" Is pertinent, she's a victim of some bastard who sexually assaulted her. I wanted to be there for her, my heart aches because of everything she's been through, maybe I pitied her more than I fancied her, but I'm still utterly heartbroken and in disarray from her wreck less abandon. I know part of her makes it difficult to not flip flop but I don't think it's an excuse to play with my heart and mind the way she did. The hardest part is that I still care for her, I almost wish I felt nothing towards her because it'd make things so much easier, especially because she decided to pop back into my life after dropping off the face of the earth for a few months. Then she comes around like nothing happened at all. I know she's no good for me, I hope she finds peace and stability some day but I can't drag myself through the mud for her any longer.for the short span of time I was with her it felt so draining, like I was a caretaker. The first time I saw sevendust was over ten years they are the best band I ever seen live these guys are a great group an down to earth if anybody has the chance to meet any of them I highly recommend it

I think part of what makes Sevendust so great is that each layer of their songs tend to be either greatly varied or extremely similar. For example, Face to Face has hard-hitting "FUCK YOU" lyrics, screams, guitar, drums, and bass. With this one though, the lyrics convey emotional pain, the singing style is more technical, the guitars are slower, and the drums are quicker. And all of it awesome.
Such an underplayed band. If these guys had the radio play they deserve this video would have over a million views. Maybe its a good thing that the radio play hasnt gotten to them...but regardless, this band and THIS SONG deserves more love.

I'd loved this song from the moment it released, but my fiance of three years left me last year, out of the blue. In the span of ten days she went from helping me make wedding decorations to walking out of my life forever. This song helped get me through the toughest time of my life by giving me a way to vent the anger, the frustration, and the feelings of abandonment. I unraveled when she left, but thanks to this song, I've made it so far.
Sevendust needs to put out another Greatest Hits compilation, one that they actually have complete control over...their first one was good, but TVT put it out without any consent or input from the band as a way to make money off them before Sevendust parted ways with them. I think they're due for a truly legit Greatest Hits album because they've got plenty of great songs that weren't even radio singles.
Sevendust has been and always will be one of my all time favorite bands. Strong beautiful vocals mixed with heavy flowing drums and guitars. They hit the hard notes and respect their fans, thank you guys I hope you keep rockin out for years to come. Either way I'll always enjoy your music, thank you so much.
