As much as the any% run is a technical marvel and very cool to watch, this run is definitely a better watch

Yeah the 5 minute runs are just crazy. Biggest from soft game beaten the fastest. Faster than the next fastest and second biggest game ( ds2). From soft knows how to make them haha

i have a great deal of respect for those that do any%, but it isn't half as interesting as the glitchless speedruns

@@555fire... I think the difference most people are looking for is interactions with all the game systems. In any%, they don't interact with most of the systems that make this a good game. There's no character customization, no combat, no rpg style level ups and progression. Just zooming from one place to the next and killing bosses by forcing their arenas to unload.
Always enjoy seeing how close his WR runs are uploaded.

I feel like Dist's strategy is to talk shit about every single one of his runs during them, so he's always either right or pleasantly surprised

I just finished my first run last weekend. 125 hours trying to discover as much as I could, got all the trophies (minus the different endings obvs) and I missed quite a lot. Going on my second run and after watching so many of your videos it's been insanely easy, but every time a new record comes out I'm amazed on how skilled you are. So many jaw drops during the whole run, amazing.
This is amazing, especially to someone like me who ran round for 6 minutes only to realize there is fast travel in elden ring.

really stoked to see runs aside from any% unrestricted. the zip stuff is pretty cool, and as someone who was active in groups of ds3 pvp'ers who used alot of glitchy swaps, im familiar with how difficult and impressive it is to do frame perfect inputs like pivot swaps or zips, but after awhile it becomes kinda mind numbing to just watch someone zipping around the map for 5-8min.
do you think you will ever try to do something like an "any% no zip" run? i loved watching any% runs for ds3 and really enjoy seeing people glitch/break the game in creative ways, but the zip runs were getting pretty boring to watch. would be fun to watch ppl glitch and break the game but still have to at least occasionally fight bosses, make some level of build, and do more things besides zipping around.

Something that might be worth thinking about: Dist repeated multiple times in this run that he was feeling tired, and was overall not expecting a lot at that moment. This was actually probably what caused the run to succeed. You see, pro athletes tend to break pbs or wrs on off days, due to the decreased amount of stress/nerves caused by them not expecting anything.
This is him just proving he can beat the game in record time without avoiding everything

I’m excited to see the glitch all remembrances and I’m wishing for a category that includes more of the game too but just all remembrances with glitches will be great
If you want to see a “literally everything” run, LilAggy does all 165 boss runs. They’re about 6 hour watches though.
Maybe this is a stupid question, but how does the speedrun timer work? Because it looks frame perfect when it pauses or starts again. Does it automatically recognize loading and menu screens?
Though I'm not skilled enough to do it myself, I'd love to see a "consumables only" run by you! This may or may not include bows/arrows at your discretion.
Unless he mides the game so that each bow breaks after single shot it wouldn't really be a consumables only run.. there are very entertaining runs by other people tho like using only crafted items and such.. lilaggy did the craft only run if I remember correctly..

They made it smaller in version 1.04. The jump is still possible but it's just REALLY HARD. I've been trying for the last 45 minutes. Not sure why From would "fix" things like this. It's not like it's hurting anyone to be able to skip parts.
