Only UA-camrs who are completely confident in their content would dream of doing that. There are so many game reviewers on UA-cam and yet still no competition for ACG.
Wellll that's kinda because either a thumb up or a thumb down both affect the video positively in the exact same way (increased interaction which the search algorithm favors).
Tbh disliking the video has no negative effect on the vid. It also increases "user interaction".
incorrect. It actually adjusts its placing in the up next and suggested spots and has already been tested as doing so.
How many other reviewers actually interact with the viewers and respond to their questions and comments ? This is why you have fans with a genuine respect. Great video, this has inspired me to play it.

Soo it's just Batman, Alfred, Gordon and John Doe right. I'm not surprised that Catwoman, Two-Face or Penguin are not here seeing as they are all looked up either in Blackgate or Arkham. (Except Selina who is running wild).
They show previews of future episodes when in the main menu with silhouettes of characters...at least one of those is making a return

I'm glad they did a good job with this first episode. Honestly, I have been looking forward to this and was hoping they would do a good job so I could feel comfortable getting it from the start. And if they are learning from some things people didn't like in the previous Batman game....I'm for it.

Wow. I like the games and always have a story based game running but no matter what choices they give u Telltale always end up at the same spot. I hope this really has a far more complex interactive story. They should work the script and scenes like how Late shift did.

I wasn’t too big a fan of this season’s first episode, but holy cow all 4 episodes so far as a whole...and assuming they don’t botch the finale, this might be the best TT game season...ever. TONS of replayability (do I or do I not beat the shit out of X, Y, or Z person, all of whom are in the morally grey area and not straight up criminals, and then you can either romance Joker, Harley, both (~ish), or straight up be a dick to both). Superb title. Currently on par with TWD S1.
Awesome review for the Batman The Enemy Within. I might wait until it gets on sale. I dunno if the next episode will be bimonthly like Guardians of the Galaxy or monthly like the first season from last year. 🤔
I haven't enjoyed a Telltale game more than this in a while. I can't say why without spoilers. I replayed season one over the weekend and it was nice to finish it in one sitting. I really hope EP 2 is out soon. I'll also say that there is more game here, as I failed more than once, unlike the first season where throughout all 5 Eps, where I didn't fail once.

I thought so too that this telltale game was pretty impressive to say the least might be better than a few of season 1 episodes.
Looks like after watching this review - amazing as always Karak - this will have to be the first Telltale game I pickup and try for myself. I’ve never really played a game of this genre/style and I’m looking forward to see how I like it. Thanks for the awesome reviews! 👏
Thanks for the review, Dude. Really glad to hear TellTale are making improvements. I love their games but they were going a bit stale, but I always trust your opinion & I'm looking forward to this one now.
The big question is: Do choices ULTIMATELY matter in the story AND it's conclusions?
I have enjoyed Telltale Games for what they have been: walking simulators. While they claim to offer up choices to alter the story, they never really did much except for maybe change a couple lines in a few sequences, but the outcomes are ALWAYS the same.
For example: In Game of Thrones, none of your choices really matter in the end...because there are two main choices that affect the outcomes of characters, and no matter what you do, you always have those choices available to you and the story is practically the same. Essentially you get to choose the life/death of one character, and a choice between life/death of two other characters. Nothing you do will alter those decisions or the ability to make them.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them for one simple reason: I got to be a bit interactive with an independent story from an actual fiction-piece (for me, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones). I mainly ask on this one because I hope it will give me a bit of insight on how the next GoT Season will be. And I understand that in the overall story arch of GoT (or ASOIAF) that these games won't affect that world, but at least I could hope my choices do affect the world I get to play in.
Anyways, thanks for the video, great job as always.

Man idk how you do it beating games so fast and making reviews, it's just outstanding man. I remember waking up and playing a game that I liked or knowing that after school or work I had this game that I Def wanting to keep playing, now I don't even feel like that anymore lol, no matter how good the game is, I just get bored or take a break from it to the point where a 4 hour game takes me weeks to finish lol
Give us Wolf Among Us 2 already. Why a 2018 release when 2017 is dominated by sequels to RECENT RELEASES.
Episode 1 looks like its really enjoyable. Having said that, it will be interesting to see how good the remaining 4 episodes end up being. Also, I'm not really sure whether I should buy each episode individually or if I should wait until the entire 2nd season gets released on a physical disc. I can definitely understand why some people would be frustrated by the fact that Telltale Games keeps churning out game after game. At the same time, I don't mind if Telltale games keeps releasing games as long as they are good quality titles. More of the same isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as I'm getting something that's of good quality for the most part. Telltale Games has lost some of its momentum and it has stumbled a bit here and there. However, there is no doubt that they can still deliver a really fun and enjoyable experience and episode 1 of Batman the Enemy Within is further proof of that. Thanks Karak for being the best reviewer on UA-cam. I greatly appreciate it!

This Joker is amazing. We're watching him form a bond with Bruce Wayne, instead of Batman. It's not for everyone, but it's damn original and I love it.
Good to know that the performance is up to par on this one... I binged the shit out of the first season while I was sick last week and my god it stuttered so bad. 144 fps one second down to 20 fps for no reason at all. The action was hard to follow in most scenes it was so bad. Still... I enjoyed it so much I went on a whim and bought Season 2 as it was on sale.

I to disagree. If a company can make good games, then them releasing a lot of them quickly is a good thing. Maybe because some of their titles/episodes don't actually hit the mark and don't improve on anything is why people might feel lethargic playing them.
But alas, this one seems, at least from the sound of things, an improvement over their previous titles & episodes so that is surely a great sign for people that enjoy their games.
I for one might look into it after the season is over though, because playing the entire season at one go is the best way to get the best experience out of playing these types of games I feel. That and also I haven't actually enjoyed any of their games since the wolf among us and the walking dead season 1, because of the reasons stated in the video.

Well, it's been established by now but I just can't see what kind of enjoyment someone would get from such games and can't really categorize it.
Milad Golshan its an interactive Batman movie it keeps me involved. The category is called episodic graphic adventure games.
I still haven't finished the first season of Telltale Batman, i lost interest between waiting for the episodes.
I should probably wait until all the episodes are out for this one.

How important is it to import ones choices from the last season? Because my saves tends to glitch out a lot (what am I saying, the whole game is a bit buggy) I'm not convinced I'll be able to import any...
EagleVision1999 Im not sure, because i imported mine, but i think i saw a new option to create your own pre-story save-file, other then just generating it like before.
You can relax. There's an option where the game will give you the most important choices of season 1 which you can answer with the ones you made or anything you want. Not that it seemed that matter much there were actual differences. ACG's Alfred has eyepatch for example while mine doesn't. Which depends on your choice at the end of Season 1

Great review Karak. Is Telltale using a new engine do you think, or they have been able to coax even more out of their...what...5, 6 year old engine from Walking Dead Season 1?
It still looks like the same engine, but I wouldn't be surprised if they've revamped it again. The engine is called Telltale Tool, and from what I know they're using that engine still in the upcoming GoT Season 2. So I'm willing to bet this is the same engine for this game.
