*Goes stealth mode*
Wears a helmet with a bright red pompom on top.
stealth mode, cant stab a guy in the throat because my xps arent high enough
:D :D
MrFrisfruit LOL
The other games also had this issue, goes stealth while showing up in supicious hoods while also dressing like you came for party( Ezio i'm looking at you :D)
Because the other games besides 1 the character was so conspicuous... *Enter stealth mode* Puts on suspicious hood on top of wearing clothes that draw attention to yourself.
There was a time when if i heard game is 80+ hours of gameplay i would jump in excitement :D Now i am like "man, how can i possibly finish this, i haven't even finished game X or Y yet and game Z that i desperately want to play is coming out next week" :D
Molda22 adult problems lol
Yes, I am in the same club. I still have not finished Origins, Witcher 3, Horizon or even GTA V yet; but I am very excited about this one :) I guess, that's a good thing, so I have no reason to pay the full price:)
problems of growing up.
Molda22 I dont really understand tbh. Just play a game that 100+ hours as long as its fun. You dont have to finish it. I can relate to though i wish i had more time.
I feel your pain, I still haven't started the Witcher 3 because it would take forever for me to complete it.
This game really makes you 'feel' like an Odyssey.
It's the Dark Souls of Ancient Greece games.
The game is "59.99 for the normal edition all the way up to the questionable life decisions version, otherwise known as the Pantheon Edition, which is $299, and should probably come with it's own questionnaire that asks if you understand what the hell money is." GOLD!
"They out-Batmanned Batman"
Never change, Karak.
lol thanks man
Karak?
Heath Anderson that’s his name lol he literally says, “this is karak with acg” at the beginning of all his reviews...
ACG Says it’s good
People: Yay
IGN Says it’s good
People: it sucks
Firefighter says it's safe
People: Yay
Arsonist says it's safe
People: Yeah, no
ACG - can be trusted
IGN - can not be trusted
Yep just listen to ACG thas enough
Meh, not always applicable. Far Cry Primal for example
That is the best game ever.
The game is vast. There is so much to explore in the world map with so many things you can do. I am literally playing almost all the side missions all the while exploring both land and sea alike. I reached and out leveled the main mission by doing literally almost every mission this game has to offer. No rush here trying to beat the main story. I am enjoying the game. It's been a long time since I found a game that's worth my time and day. This game has caught my full attention. Every assassin's games I've played and owned doesn't come close to this, although I've enjoyed every single one of them.
I'm just waiting till we get to Japan..Ninjas and Samurais.
indeed
Ghost of Tsushima got that covered
it's not on PC tho is it? :(
I want Chinese pirates!!!
Righttt
0:35 "Questionable life decisions version" LMAO You absolutely had me there bruh
Yeah, especially since, according to ACG and his infinite wisdom in gaming, that Ubisoft would even bother with such an edition.
That cracked me up for a solid minute 😂😂
Hahaha for real
Fun fact: it was the nipples on the Greek armor that inspired the Bat-nipples in the first place.
phreakinpher is that supposed to be a good thing?
The more you know..
batman 's nipples or his butt or his sweaty chests
Hahaha the Pantheon edition "should come with a questionnaire that asks if you know what money is". 😂😂😂
Man, I feel like you're one of the few guys who actually objectively reviewed the game instead of "It's Ubisoft, guys let's hate it because for reasons!!!"
Well, done, dude!
Very Enjoyable game
When it comes to res they all look to be some kind of 4k dynamic with the Xbox X holding onto it longer lol

I'm surprised you've mentioned the color palette, comparing it to the one of Origins. There it seemed very organic, lifelike and tasteful, while in everything I've seen about this game both the coloring work and the world design are just quantity for quantity's sake, eye-popping and with little sense of style or scale. However, got to see it first-hand to make any judgement, thanks for the review!
Going on my PC Friday after work cuz.
Can we expect a Walking The walk video on this game anytime?
It'd be better if you reviewed games on a 1-10 scale, I can tell that you like Angry Joe's format. But that is what's keeping me from coming back to you, to Angry Joe content. The good thing you do is you review them fast, while Angry Joe reviews them slowly and surely. Especially since you get review copies and Joe doesn't due to being black listed in most cases. Making me trust Angry Joe more even though you say your not sponsored and buy games afterwards. Just a thought and opinion that hopefully you can reconsider to make your channel better and grow bigger in my opinion based on watching other youtuber's reviews.
That episodic dlc thing is annoying and that is what make me get the basic version and I only preordered because I loved Origins. But as always a solid review !
Since the "Single player games are dying" thing, single player games are becoming even better...
Great review as always, i'm definitely getting this for my open-world fix
Zach Stefanakis this is just another slap in the face to EA, and I love that
I will also get It after I finish Witcher and Lara Croft games.
Rdr2 for my open-world fix.
Well, that statement is from EA, the dev/publisher that made the worst additions and choices in gaming in the last few years, has been the worst company in gaming for how long? Over 10 years? And keeps getting worse and worse. EA is simply trash that ruins everything they touch
Gj supporting ubisoft scumbags...dont forget to buy 100 pizza rolls for ur epic weapon
Origins: "This isn't even my final form!"
Odyssey: "Aha! Now you see me for what I truly am--The Witcher 3!"
I don't even consider this as hate comment, you made my stomach hurt... 😂😂
Now that you mention it, Odessy *is* Witcher 3 with stealth and more RPG elements...
You mean Odyssey is Witcher 3 with an actually decent combat system. @@Harshhaze
Lowlightt lmao this kid
@@Lowlightt what's wrong with the Witchers combat?
If you are watching this today, it’s on sale on the psn store. $40 for ultimate edition (originally $119) Damn good deal.
Still won't support paywalls from hell. I don't care if it's five bucks or less. I draw the line at paywalls.
What region? Is it still on?
Peter von Feldt That’s just sad, it’s only singerplayer and you don’t have to buy shit from the store
@@Openreality You don't need to pay for anything
Bought gold edition on sale, 80+ hours in, can't get enough of it. Fucking love this game
The only review i need
Max Mardjuadi same
lmao im the 300 like ....this is sparta !!!!!
I’m not really a huge fan of the combat system that was implemented in Origins. I’ve always been a fan of the badass counters I could pull off in every other Assassins Creed
ya I can see that
Good to see the mechanics of Metal Gear Solid V finally showing up in other games. Helping a guy up is much less fulfilling than tying a balloon to their foot to be scooped up by a passing airplane, but maybe a little more motivating to have them join your cause.
Recruitment has been in the series since Brotherhood
No. You're talking about recruitment, they're talking about conscription. So is the game, but they just used the wrong word.
@@joshmartin2744 Yeah. I miss the recruits (or conscripts) having unique personality and story content though, like in AC3.
If they make a Japanese Assassin's Creed that perfects this new formula, it'd most likely be an amazing game. Assassin's Creed is heading in the Witcher direction and I'm loving it.
If you enjoyed Origins then you should enjoy Odyssey.
I didn't enjoy origins at all so I have no idea if I want this game or not. My biggest gripe with origins was the fake progression system. Having quests tied to levels to the point that enemies 3 levels above you 1 hit you, hindering any real exploration. That and a weak story.
MoviesNGames007uk If you enjoyed origins you should play witcher because its origins but better
If you enjoyed origins you need a better taste in games
I haven't played it I won't like the story like I'm not saying it's bad it's probably good but they messed with the story in its core it's not rpg it's not as good anymore as a.c. games
What if we felt the combat in Origins was janky AF?
Jesus Christ, how do you manage to play all these games so intensively that you can deliver reviews so in depth and on the point? I am really impressed by your passion.
0:57 "Here, hold this for a second..." I lol'd hard.
I would love to see a Black Flag remake with AC Origins/Odyssey mechanics. Great game, but still hampered by the old infuriating AC combat mechanics. I think they really nailed it with these new games.
'Here , hold this for a second' 😂😂😂😂
I died faster than he did LMAO
Now with how polished odyssey looks I REALLY hope we can get the long awaited Assassin's Creed game in Japan
Don't. We are already getting an excellent AC esque game in Japan. Ghost of Tsushima.
IndianTelephone another one doesn’t hurt. I’ve been waiting for a japan based ac game since ac3
I bet that GoT will be good but it doesn't take away at all from me craving an AC game in China or Japan. Ubisoft does such incredible world building, I need to see their version of it in an AC style. Definite buy for me if it's as good as Origins and Odyssey.
There's no point now, since AC is now a silly hack n slash game and not a stealth assassin game-a play style that would fit a japanese ninja.
100000%
Kassandra's voice acting was fantastic and the general consensus is to play as her if you care about the acting.
The fact that you said the ending is good makes me way more interested in this game.
Favorite one
Been playing it for a few hours now (thanks to using a VPN, New Zealand), and I must say I am shocked at just how good of a job Ubisoft have done with the difficulty setting. Putting the difficulty to Nightmare makes the game really hard BUT it isn't in that frustrating way where everything just feels cheap and unfair (look no further than Ghost Recon Wildlands to see just how outrageously lazy it can get with Ubisoft). I am getting my ass handed to me in the beginning hours, but the battles do feel rewarding, you get better and you learn to handle yourself - surprisingly similar to Dark Souls, if one is allowed to say that. Fights with multiple enemies are a real puzzle to deal with, but it IS possible. So much more fun than previous AC titles.
The Exploration mode is an awesome new addition, keeping some information from you so you really do need to explore a little. This must be a Ubisoft first. Really refreshing.
Also happy that the choice/consequences don't seem to be too obvious. Being nice isn't always rewarded, and that is great. Especially when playing on Hardcore, where you never know if sparing the lives of some enemies might cause a fight with a bigger mob later down the line.
Great stuff so far.
Does it run good on pc?
@@gmicros hmmm, I can't say it runs amazingly. But not terribly either. I have a 1070 and I'm not nearly using up all my VRAM according to the options menu but I mostly get between 50 and 65fps with most settings (but not all) maxed. Playable, but it would be nice to have it more stable. Game does look great though.
Oh God the psychic enemies in Wildlands that instantly knew where you were were the worst.
Our timezone does have a few benefits lol :P
@@Sannoso and their hitscan instahit weapons...
If someone punched me out, woke me up and gave me a job on a ship I'd be fine with that, lol.
Back in those days they don't check your resume.
Go hang out on the docks in a third world country your wish might come true
You know it’s not too difficult to actually get a job at sea, why not try...
Have worked aboard multiple ships. Be careful what you wish for.
Someones never heard of being shanghaied, A portion of the British Navy in the 16-17-18th century's were forcefully "recruited" at taverns after they were passed out drunk, only to awaken on a ship already at sea and over the horizon the next morning. (other nations often used the practice also) The practice was especially common if a ship was going to be traveling a dangerous route to the new world (Americas.) Or heading into pirate-infested waters.
I got it on pc today in the Steam winter sale for about $25. I am only three or four hours in so far and I am really enjoying it so far. It runs 60+ fps at 1920x1200 at ultra high defaults. I have a 7700k and 1080 both at stock speeds along with 16gb ram.
The gameplay looks so much fun to me. And that endless discussion if it’s an AC game or not... It doesn’t matter to me, if it’s great as a standalone game I’ll gladly take it and it sure looks like it is. I know I’m a little late, but while everyone is frustrated playing Sekiro now I’m gonna enjoy my time with AC Odyssey!
Been waiting for this review. Still having a lot of fun with Origins. The exploration is top notch. Was pleasantly surprised by the "gift from the gods" reward I received over the weekend.
this is gonna decide if i buy this game here we go
edit : i bought the gold edition boys
MARS yee
Black Friday is next month and the game might be 50% off. Boxing day a month after that and possibly even cheaper.
I bought the ultimate edition!!!
DevilGames smart buy and wait while they patch up
Smart move. And kudos for not pre ordering and actually waiting to give them your money.
Haven't played an AC games since Black Flag, I might pick this one up, thanks for the detailed review.
@@CrispyHulk1 I enjoyed Black Flag & the pirate stuff. I didn't really care for the AC part & I hated being yanked out of the pirate life to modern day segments.
"Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Mercenary"
I already liked this channel, but this reference to a classic board game has really upped my appreciation.
Those sea graphics! Holy shit!
I like this review. As for the game, it looks awesome; anyway, I've already pre-ordered it given the high quality of Origins and the nice time I'm having with it. I'll say only this: I have a great respect for the developers who create single-player only games, that is real craftsmanship.
The two protagonists look really fricken amazing, especially Cassandra. Wow!
Arguably one of the best reviews I've ever seen from you. Pre-ordered this about six weeks ago. Can't wait!
Everyone was talking shit about this game, but it looks like it's probably the best AC game since Brotherhood.
true
Not really. It introduced the recruitment mechanics which added a nice twist to the game. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of areas though.
"look"
You guys say you want a 'true AC game', but the poor sales of Syndicate and the great sales of Origins say otherwise.
What about blackflag and origins they look awesome too cantwait for this
I don't know how you do what you do man. It took me 3 weeks just to beat Spiderman lol very few games can hold my attention these days past an hour at a time.
ya but you beat God of war twice. Something I could never do. at least I thought I saw you post that. which is insane
Damn I'm impressed lol yes sir I did. Back to back too BUT that was 1 of those rare games that hooked me.
Me too, I still buy them though?
@@robertwatson5104
Same. I rush out, buy a game, play for a couple of days and leave it on the shelf . Don't know why lol
stop UFO fakes I thought I was i only one!
I really loved this review, you did such a good job as always.
One thing I’d add though, is the abilities in this game are pretty much ALL good and you can really tailor your abilities to you own play style. If you want to stealth one shot people you can upgrade abilities to do that, and if you want to just tank damage and slay people like a proper mercenary, you can do that as well. The abilities in the game are really helpful and the way you customise your gear can also help your abilities be more effective furthering your play style. It’s actually insane coming from an AC game to me. Definitely a pleasant surprise from the series
Played 70 hours and then wrapped up the main story. Fantastic game. Replaced Black Flag as my favorite AC. Word of advice to anyone starting for the first time, pick Kassandra.
Why Kassandra?
Best voice acting i’ve Heard.
@@JH-qn3gi kassandra has a better voice actor, alexios sounds a little exaggerated
idk if you're joking or lying...
Always appreciate the in-depth reviews. 👍 And I love your dry deadpan humor. 😂
Excited for this review!! Can't wait. ACG is the best.
I always enjoy your vids. I usually have to run it at 0.75 speed to really appreciate your funny quips though.
I will definitely pick this up since my fiancé wants it too.
This may be the greatest review I’ve come across. Concise, to the point, and covers everything. This is my favorite franchise. Origins gave me hope but I admit I was hesitant seeing as origins is barely a year old. You’ve convinced me tho so good on ya. Thanks
my thanks
Damn this game looks good..
I even like part of the menus (that background with statue figures.. pretty cool)
your reviews are my go to. Excellent as always.
Very balanced and honest review, as are all of yours. I adore ACO, its the only AC game iv'e ever felt like playing, ''Odyssey '' looks like being my second. Cool.
are we going to get a "walking the walk" video for odyssey?
To me ancient greece is far more interesting than ancient Egypt. Origins was just desert mainly.
What's funny is ancient Egypt didn't have tha much sand lol
Lol have you played origin atleast ? Not even half of the map is desertic, the rest is swamp, forest, mountain, sea and cities
You may be right about the map as a whole, but there are two huge deserts in Origins that the campaign doesn't even feature, in fact if you don't explore much outside the campaign the map is a nice mix of desert, oases, swamps, cities, mountains and forests. Personally, I think it's one of if not the most beuatiful open worlds I've ever played. Cyrene, Memphis, Alexandria and Siwa are all breathtakingly gorgeous. But that's just my opinion.
Hold your tongue peasant!! Egypt is the shit boyo!!
Did you guys like the Pre-order the expensive versions and play 3 days before?
Lmao Origins didn't have as much desert as you're making it sound
I completely forgot this was coming out
Well shit... too many games coming out, can't blame ya.
I am playing in exploration mode and I love it. You can kind of tell where the main story is, but it's not entirely clear. There's no guidance or script, so you just play the game more naturally as you want to take it. I absolutely love it.
Great review like always. I agree it's an build up on origins with extras but not to discount as an new game. Loved ur joke about 299 bundle
You need more love acg! I’m going to start networking for you.
Keep it up bro. Big love from New Zealand
thanks
Didn't know Chris D'Elia was one of the main characters in AC:O(dyssey?)
Great review. Very in depth and informative as always.
Giving this a miss because I am still playing tomb raider, but may pick it up at a later date
That opening statement about shirts and skin is legit hall of fame worthy hilarious. Subbed
That Mark Mcgwire comment had my dying laughing.
glad you liked it man
The engine this game runs on would be amazingly great for a new Witcher game! 😍
This is the first video I've seen from this channel. Very well done definitely earned my subscribe today! Look forward to watching many more videos!
Good to hear, I am getting it and excited. I am a classicist and so this is something I've been wanting for a while. I doubt I'll be able to finish every sidequest but the fact I get to explore Greece in Ancient times is awesome.
Great review as always! And it means a lot to me that there are reviews like this.
I haven't played an AC game since Unity disappointed me so much, and i loved ac2 all the way to black flag and rogue. (and yes even Connor) Unity's disappointment was too fresh for me to get syndicate, and Origins made me feel AC had lost its identity. But now that Karak says this one's a buy, then maybe it's time to give AC a try once again.
I felt so overwhelmed when I reach the "big city" cant remember the name, and its just a speck on the map🤣
I always watch your reviews, not to decide if I’m buying or not. But to know a general feeling about the game before I jump in. Thanks for ur work.!
Only bought the Spartan Ed. because I love the statue✌🏻
Also bought Kassandra. Already have the Bayek one😍
I really want Black Flag remastered. Easily one of my favorite games of all time and a remaster with new mechanics would be great.
Excellent review, dude.
Can't wait to play this.
Amazing indepth review. So excited for the game!!
AC Odyssey
Red Dead 2
For Honor: Marching Fire
Spider Man: The Heist
Good month for me!
Good to hear !!! I bought the collector edition !!! I love AC series. I wish I had bought all the collectors editions for each game.
Good review Karak. I'm still looking for PC performance before grabbing this.
RDR2 got my money for October, maybe I’ll pick this up later
BuGGy2DaB same here dude

Or torrent both of them later when the development is farther along.
Buy buy Early Access? Waste of time.
I will for sure get this game at some point. On Black Friday.. On X-mas.. or even next year (if they will ever do a Complete Edition)
But I am interested in this one so I will end up getting it (dunno exactly when.. But I will get it haha)
@@ekuda you again
I do love single player RPGs. And finishing a long one is a fun challenge. (Try Kingdoms of Amateur : Reckoning). So for me, this is a must own. Time to put Skyrim and Witcher 3 to bed.
I was unsure about if I would like this then you described the price of the game and I immediately subbed!
So fast! Spot on review every time
There will always be more people that enjoy playing a character were you can choose your class and style than being forced into stealth only. Ubi Soft knew that by changing the style of Assassin Creed games into an open world RpG with the option to choose what class you want and not just an assassin with stealth, that there Fan base would more than triple. From the 25 years experience playing, rpgs, multiplayer or Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) i have seen more people play a tank, ranged melee dps, or close ranged dps than a stealth assassin class. I have seen all most as many people play a healer/Priest class as a stealth class. Rogues and assassins will always have a meaningful and needed roll in all rpgs, but games that only let you be an assassin and no other roll or class will never ever be more popular than a game thats an open world RpG that lets your decide your class style. The developers at Ubi Soft i think know what kinda game the people want, yes there is people upset that the style of Assassin creed has changed, but 10X the people love the change. Loosing 100k Assassin Creed fans is no big deal when your gaining 10 million new fans LoL
Truly, to me, AC has always been about admiring the different time periods in history and the architecture/art styles that encompass those cultures and periods.
And you do this through climbing and parkour. Which has always been a part of every AC game. As long as that’s an integral part of the gameplay, I’ll remain a casual fan.
Got it on sale $30 and man I didnt know Id like it so much. Its actual worth $60. I spent 10 hours on one island doing missions and exploring. Completely forgot all the Naval travel.
Bottom line they are many games that Ubisoft took points from.
1. The Witcher- It just feels like it.
2. Destiny- Menu navigation&Loot systems.
3. AC: Black Flag- Ship travel
4. Nemesis System == Mercenary System.
5. Tom Clancy's: Borderlands- Cultist System
Yup. I'm picking it up. Thank you for another excellent review:)
i honestly cannot wait for this game. i know RDR2 is the main focus of many people but i dont feel more hyped for it, Odyssey has everything i like in a game.
Wait till the reviews for RDR2 come in and it will be
the wild west never interest me that much, also RDR2 is console exclusive, so yea no thanks.
Ima get rdr. But I feel you. I'm definitely not feening for it like most people are.
Did you play the first RDR? Find it hard to believe someone finishing that game and not being hyped for the sequel.
Odyssey - RPG spartan game
RDR2 - not RPG western game
That money questionnaire comment at the beginning. BEST ... DESCRIPTION... of a premium package... EVER!!!! Liked Subscribed and shared like there's no tomorrow.
I love your videos. Amazing content all around. Definitely subscribing
This game looks so great, already loved origins and this just seems to improve on that
so finish this game before RDR2 comes out ;)
Definitely want this one but I still have Origins dlc to beat. Thank God they're taking a one year hiatus from these games so I have time to beat that and pick it up during a sale while at the same time playing RDR2 and spider man.
they only talk a year off to make origins now there back to every year this is out this month
Correction : There will not be any new entry intro the series for year 2019, however, Ubisoft intends to make Odyssey as a Game As A Service, meaning, it's content will grow with time. And it's already underway : two new chapters, consisting of 6 (or 3 ? might be wrong there) episodes each. More details here: news.ubisoft.com/article/Assassins-Creed-Odyssey-Post-Launch-Details-Revealed
Anyway, all in all, they want you to "enjoy" this AC game for "many years" Guillemot said in a French interview.
So for a new AC entry, we will have to wait for 2020 I guess.
Karl Massie nah if ubisoft is taking break or putting more development time then expect big changes.... like what they did to origins
@@289kman no, they are not they said some would be out the year after and others will have a year or two interval. Research bruh.
13:33 That laugh was gold ^_^ Totally unexpected!
I have not played this series since 1-2. The exploration in this game is amazing! Like the graphics, environments, greece setting, and photo mode. I got the game for 20 bucks on PS4! I like the game, but get kinda confused & frustrated sometimes. The game reminds me of Witcher 3, but I think I like the combat better in this. Each type of weapon has a pro and con.
I absolutely love this game. I do have to say..the easy mode, isn't that easy. At least for me.I'm at 123 hrs and been taking time, just found my mother..lol but doing other stuff and things is fun.and it's beautiful on the Xbox onex, sometimes I just ride my unicorn around mountains picking up stuff for the view😁.. really have had no game problems.
Good review, as always. I was leaning toward the standard version, but wasn't sure. Sounds like you were happy with it and plenty of content... should be good enough for me too. Love the questionnaire joke... and glad it has a good ending.
I love ACG and honestly odyssey is dope, especially recruiting legendary merc for your ship and watch them battle other epics and legends.
15:26 "they outbatmaned batman by many hundreds of years." :)
Heard this was a good game (I liked the black flag AC) that took alot of cues from the witcher 3 (best game ever) gonna pick it up on steam when they got it on sale.
Have you been able to play it yet?
Never got into this series. But I am a diehard role playing game enthusiast and to be honest I only clicked on this review as something to listen to while I puttered around my kitchen. After watching your review I figured what the hell it was worth a rental from game fly. I am 20 hours in and I have been completely blown away. Somethings are a little off like you say but is a stunning looking game as far as graphics go and sound for that matter. And what a huge and rich open world of ancient Greece. This game holds its own for me with even the classic RPGs. So many quests and so much fun to be had. And half the time I will be in a middle of a quest and I will have to stop and look around because the environment is so gorgeous.
9:38 best line of the video! You're a diamond in the rough when it comes to legit honest reviews. I bought the gold version (I know, what was I thinking) and it's pretty fun so far. Bout to hit level 5, oh and exploration mode is THE way to go. Screw hints.
thanks
Assassin's Creed became famous for it's city free-run mechanics and while I commend Ubi for trying to freshen up the formula, it really barely feels about assassins or parkour anymore...
@GiRayne Yes they could .
GiRayne This must be your first AC game as this is the first one you've been looking forward too. I stopped looking forward when Syndicate was announced. Played all the first game and they were a blast.
And in my honest opinion we don't need the series to turn into an RPG. We already have other game companies that make great RPG's.
It was never been about parkour!😂
GiRayne or just not use it to revolve around the AC franchise cause goddamn im not seeing any assassinations from these games these past years.
abc4781 Apparently it isn't working anymore sales are dropping and only by doing Origins the way it is now did Ubi save the series
I loved origins so I’ll be playing this. Sucks there’s too many games I can’t keep up :(
too many games, not enough time.
Thanks for the review! I was feeling hesitant about it and wanted to know more. I'll pick it up after I finish origins.
As always your reviews are one if not the best. You dig so deep into it. Will you be covering Call of Cthulhu?
yep
Hey Karak I have a quick question. You can take cover against walls and doorways and assassinate from them? I just couldnt play origins cause it lacked these things and I play AC for stealth.
Polux Origins did in fact have that ability. You may not have noticed it because there are no specific button prompts to let you know you’re doing a cover takedown. All you have to do is crouch behind cover or crouch/stand by a doorway and press assassinate when the target comes close. This will trigger an animation of your character dragging the NPC around that cover and killing them. I’ve seen this done in Oddessey gameplay too. Unfortunately, stealth has been deemphasized/weakened in other ways since Origins, and social stealth is completely gone from AC.
