We are just sitting here playing a drinking game. Every time he says sitting there we sit here and take a drink... well im sitting here wasted now. But this was a good video sitting here on the youtubes.
Check out GARRETT‘s garage talk Facebook page easier to reach me on that if you have any questions or like to know more things or have ideas that you would want me to make videos of iamb gladly to help out
I love my F350 but I have to say Dodge makes it allot easier. I just wired 4 LED Cube lights to my buddies Ram 550 and the switches are already wired out to blocks under the hood and they provide connecting jumpers to connect all your toys to. I had all 4 lights wired in 10 min. Also you can program the upfitter switches to act differently!
If you guys have any other ideas or things you would like to know please share sorry if I had not reached back to you guys I’ve been really busy building my new shop so I can bring you guys better videos and yes I have noticed that I say I sit there LOL why I do that I don’t know I guess it’s just a trademark so you all sit there and wait for the next episodes check out my Facebook Garretts garage talk for upcoming episodes Garretts garage talk out sit there and wait for new episodes lol
Did you slice the firewall boot to get the cables to pass through or did you use the 'nipple' above the mail loom to run a separate one for your cable? Did you access the boot via from the top of the engine bay or from below at the LF fender well?
So the wires that go to the outside fire wall and inside of the fire wall do they need to be jumped to the wires hanging down from the dash? Or are the ones outside the firewall alredy hooked to the power?
By wiring under the dash, doesn't that eliminate the relay. The relay means only minimum power to the switches? I dont think the switches are rated for very many amps.
Well thanks for the Visio but I’ve looked & no yellow, I do have 18 wires down there none go to my aux1 so I went into the wiring harness found 12 yellow/ yellow mix but none go from my aux1.
WEll yeah. okay. But what if you have a f250 that does not have the switches installed? Is there a connector I would assume not plug and play being a Ford and all.
somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but as per page 7 in the wiring paperwork it shows a tie in to all 4 upfitters along the firewall up towards the top closer to the middle
I found the wires under the hood, 2016 SD - holy crap how the hell did ford thought anyone can get to them and connect longer wires. the pigtail under the hood is about 4 inches long, a 3three year old might be able to get in there, I was able with two fingers to remove the tape they used to hold them to the main harness and pull them up to see them but no way can u get to them - behind the fuse box.... dam... HOWEVER under the dash the main harness that goes through the firewall has a 2-3 inch nipple, you can feel it on top of the harness inside, so im guessing you punch thru that nipple and now have a pass through to the inside,
Be happy they are there at all. Not too long ago there was no such thing as factory upfitter switches, and they sure didn't leave us the pigtails on either side of the firewall. Every thing was forced through that fire wall and usually direct to the battery. Talk about a headache! So just sit there and chill lol.
Allen Shipp You can purchase the auxiliary switches through Ford with the relays go to your local Ford shop or get them on Amazon it’s an easy installation then you can tap all your extra stuff into the auxiliary switches and you can leave the auxiliary switch it goes to your PA in the on position when you turn off your truck the auxiliary switch will go off automatically and when you turn your vehicle on it will come on automatically
Just sitting here watching you sit there wiring your truck thinking about sittin there wiring my truck while i sit there.
You def sat there and showed us. Thanks!
Had to watch the video twice because I was focused on how many times he said he was gonna sit there and do something

Good video man! How did you get the wiring to the headache rack?
Did you run along the frame rail?
Did you slice the firewall boot to get the cables to pass through or did you use the 'nipple' above the mail loom to run a separate one for your cable? Did you access the boot via from the top of the engine bay or from below at the LF fender well?
Think I’m gonna sit there and give ya a like 😉
Rand McNally lol thanks
What kind of rollover/bed light bar/headache rack is that? Thank you for the video
Every time he says “sit there” or a variation of.... drink
Rick Caudill lol
So the wires that go to the outside fire wall and inside of the fire wall do they need to be jumped to the wires hanging down from the dash? Or are the ones outside the firewall alredy hooked to the power?
Same question, looking for an answer also... 🤔

This guy just doesnt seem like hes the type to sit around
Good idea on that extension cord bro! Way cheaper than automotive wiring.
There is a reason its cheaper. Its not meant for that type of application. Use what you want. This is 'merica and you can fuck up what you want.

Where did the green wire go under the dash?
Ima sit there n show ya
Do u hook the ground to the chassis?

There are some Zip ties on the wires down there wrapped in the black protective wrapping yes I do agree that it is a pain in the ass
i can not find the electrical diagram on the fleet web site????
That is a good indiction that you should not do the work yourself then.
www.blueovaltrucks.com/tech/pdf_documents/FordSuper.pdf
so because he can't find the diagram automatically means he can't work on stuff his self? lol you are dumb.....@@Rogue-Drone
Where did you run the ground back to
That’s what I’m wondering
I don't have switches in my 2017 ford f350.... How do I wire to aux... So my PA system turns on and off with my truck

Where did you connect your ground ?
Pat Nakfoor I connected the ground directly to the ground on the battery
Didn’t see how you did anything.
chrome ELK uh
You sure sit there and showed us. SMH
