Hey guys, please make sure you check with your doctor. I thought I had dandruff and actually mentioned it to my hairdresser one session. She told me I didn't have dandruff but a dry scalp (pregnancy hormones really changed my skin type). No wonder head and shoulders was not working.
Thank you so much!!! My husband and children borne and raised in Hawaii but when we moved to nyc fall season they are so so bad.they all have beautiful jet black hair but the dandruff is so noticeable. My heart breaks. No doc goes passed the blue stuff . I thank you so so .
All my curly hair people or it might work on different hair types, but it’s different for everyone. Use apple sider vinegar shampoos and conditioner. It’s good for buildup.
Being a hairdresser of nearly a few years, I can share with you you, that you are not meant to apply strong hair shampoo on your hair. I've seen hairlines of many individuals, and I observed that individuals who were using strong shampoo cleansers usually had weak hairline. So I suggest only to use natural shampoo only. I personally use and suggest to use litttleextra cocconioon shampoo only. Also, do hot oil massage two times a week as it improves circulation and encourages hair growth.
Tea tree oil massaged into scalp immediately at end shower of shower followed by distilled water rinse is what has helped my irritated scalp the most. All these other shampoos just exacerbated scalp irritation 🔥
thanks man I appreciate your help I just learned today at 27 that a yeast causes inflammation which causes dandruff. Im an aspiring radiology technologist with any itchy scalp
Oh wow! I didn’t realize how good these were! I’ve tried all three! And for me nizoral works best! But it’s different for everybody! ❤️Thank you so much!
I have literally tried all of them Nothing worked for except Selsun blue the original one My shoulders used to be full of white flakes when I'd scratch thm with my nails
🎉Thank you, My husband changed his shampoo according to your suggestions. He will do this for the next of month and if things change again he will make an appointment to see our family dermatologist🎉 again Thanks.
Nobody answers what conditioner should you use after or do you use conditioner after. What should the process be to maintain hair after a wash and on a daily basis
Have always wondered this too. I’m noticing scalp buildup recently, doing research I’ve decided I wanna try out tsal but throughout every review I haven’t seen anyone add whether or not we should use conditioner or what conditioner is best after using these type of products.
I used to have long hair and would wash it everyday cause it got greasy real quick from sports and touching it all the time. Never saw dandruff. I cut my hair to real short and dont wash it as much now, probs 3 times a week but seeing it heaps now
H&S is useless. It actually made my scalp itched more. Nizrol works but it made my hair fell out 😰 I figured I had a yeast infection and eventually took caprylic acid and use a sulphur soap to get rid of the yeast. Now my scalp is back to normal 😊no more dandruff nor itchy/inflamed scalp
@@faith5897 First of all please make sure your condition is caused by a yeast infection instead of something else. My family doctor thought I had eczema but I had all the symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis. I did a ton of research, so doing your own research is very important. I used the NOW brand caprylic acid 600mg. They are available on iHerb and Amazon. Just follow the instructions on how much you should take. I personally took it for about 3 months. The soap is Grisi sulfur soap (with 10% sulfur). I felt immediate relief after the first use! I used it for about two weeks (about twice per week) and then started using less and less because it can be quite drying. I then switched to the Heritage Store sulfur soap which only has around 2% sulfur for maintenance purpose. Now I don’t need to use any sulphuric products on my scalp at all. Cover your head and/or change your hair style if necessary, because your skin is likely damaged and very dry as well. Hope this helps 😊
ua-cam.com/users/shortsk5EjYNWCm6w?feature=share that video talks about the differences. i have both and usually i wash my hair every other day and alternate using a scrub and my regular shampoo. just also drink more water you could just be dehydrated
quit using shampoo I quit 2 weeks ago and my dandruff is fully gone and my hair is hardly ever greasy now when I was on shampoo my scalp had tons of flakes and was always oily and greasy
i suddenly got a really itchy scally scalp. i dont know why it just suddenly started. i switched to a gentle shampoo and conditioner. i have colour treated hair so i dont want to use head and shoulders as i know it will fade the colour, and in the past after i stop using head and shoulders the problem just comes back
nizoral is advertised to be gentle enough for color treated hair, and in practice i’ve found that to be true. it works really well for me, and unlike the ketoconazole shampoo you get prescribed at the doctor’s, it’s a light blue color instead of bright orange-red, so it won’t stain light colored/bleached hair
I had dandruff really bad in my teenage years due to hormones, and I have a few tips (these are all products that my mum used on me - she’s a professional doctor) Avoid using inorganic shampoos, or shampoos that don’t work for ur hair type. Use organic products like apple cider vinegar and rosemary water, they remove all flakes and itch after a couple of months of use. Use it considerably though, and no more than once a week, it could cause hair fall. Don’t itch ur head with ur nails, it causes even more flakes and breakage, just rub it with the surface of ur finger, or avoid itching it if u can. If ur a teen, it’s just hormones, so there’s no need to worry about it too much. Nizoral didn’t work on me either, and just made my hair more inflamed. I defo recommend using organic products like the ones I listed before. If u want to use a shampoo I recommend: -DHS zinc shampoo (£16 off of Amazon) -kérastase symbiose shampoo (I got this off of my hairdressers for £27 but u can purchase it on Amazon too) I know they’re quite pricy, but they also help a lot
I think i have dandruff but o don’t know I might have dry scalp but my head is not itchy but I do have flaky scalp stuff and I hate it so much i asked my mom to get me the no oral shampoo instead of head and shoulders plus I hate the sent my mom get ew so hopefully it works because I’m desperate
Even drugstore workers have to be trained in knowing all their products they need to be qualified too, maybe not at Harvard of course but definitely some sort of formal education in pharmaceutical knowledge.

I just had a baby 4 months ago and going through the same issue, what did you do to treat?
TY for the advise
Guess pregnancy had the same effect on me 🥹 I have and can't seem to get rid off it with any shampoo
Head and shoulder is awful shampoo anyway
Isn’t dandruff the same as a dry scalp-

Fake promotion by a fake bot
Compared to other shampoos, this Cocoonioon shampoo is effective and helped control my hair fall after three months of regular use.
Thanks @@sillysilky02
You are a hair dresser not a doctor. And you are Indian, natural remedies don't work on seborric dermatitis
Thank you so much! I have this since I was 9

Wow, thank you. I thought shampooing stripped the oil, which increases the oil production! 🙄😒
Ty.
The real trick is to eliminate carbs and alcohol using yeast or grains that’s the only thing that has worked for me 🤟🏽
You're so right.. i started a keto/carnivore diet and the inflammation and itchiness on my scalp stopped!
Another dermatologist/UA-camr recommended Derma E Scalp Relief shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis. This and Nizoral work well for me.
How many times a week you use it until you see the difference?
Hii@@stephanienacion6763
I am using tea tree and 5 herbal medicine shampoo and it works for me 😀
Can you share more details about products you are using for dandruff ?
@@amangautam1779 Hi! It's the Garnier Tea tree and 5 plants Shampoo. Hope it helps. :)

What are your thoughts on the dove one?
Bro went to Harvard to be a skin doctor LOL
??? so what? 💀
Don't use Head and Shoulders, it makes your hair fall out faster
Agree and It doesn't work
I used L’Oréal dandruff 2 in 1. It helped
I use these things but it still won’t go away there is no like cure?
Can you use head and shoulders on a regular basis? Would the zinc pyrithione have long term affects?
Hey don't use it on regular basis as its loaded with sulphates and parabens bt it's good to remove buildup so once in a while is ok bt not regularly
What about psoriasis? & Scalp Serums/Treatments if your hair can't tolerate these shampoos?
Please what can be used to cure or ease dandruff and itching on a 1year old

does no shampoo and no conditioner help with dandruff after a longer period of time?
No it's the opposite, you want to wash everyday with a dandruff shampoo for at least a month
What about sebhorreic dermatitis on the face?
So Harvard don't know the real cause of flakes.
Don’t use head and shoulders
