How the heck have these guys not been approached to make a TV series? If not at least help with movies. This is 100% the best. Batman stories/ characters I have ever seen. Everything they do is spot on in all of their films
Cool detail I noticed: The prisoner IDs on each of the villains that we see in Arkham represent the year that they first appeared! Mr. Freeze: 0059 = February 1959 Victor Zsasz: 0092 = June 1992 Riddler: 0048 = October 1948 Condiment King: 0094 = November 1994 Poison Ivy: 0066 = April 1966 Harley Quinn: 0093 = September 1992 (I'm guessing they made it 93 so she wouldn't have the same number as Zsasz) Joker: 0040 = April 1940 Even though you can't see a number for Killer Croc, I'm guessing his number would've been 0083, since his first appearance was in February of 1983.
Man, I love everything about this. The looks, the plot, the dialogue, the acting. Batman is spot on. And I gotta give the guy playing the Joker credit for pulling it off. Great production overall! I would totally watch a series of this. And that says a lot.
*WHY ISN’T THERE A BATMAN SHOW LIKE THIS ON TV?!* Can you even imagine how many people would jump at the chance to watch something as awesome as this every week?
All I can see like a series like this. The dark Knight files... Or Gotham nights. Or tails of the dark knight. That last entry would be perfect. They can have short stories with different crimes that Batman or Nightwing or even Oracle in the birds of prey could help solve. They get enough of a licensing and good production ensemble plus the funds to be able to do this I would be watching this every week.
Kevin Porter's Batman is Ben Affleck's body with Kevin Conroy's voice and a better team of writers and directors than Warner Bros. could put together. The "Bat in the sun" team should be given a larger budget. Imagine what they could accomplish.
I agree 100% even though I did LOVE Batman v Superman (the Ultimate Edition of course) and the fight paid homage to the warehouse scene in Batman v Superman!
@@jchuck316 I take nothing away from this phenomenal team because what they do with basically nothing is stunning. They are incredibly talented and we don't have to downplay other creatives... Because... just so we are clear... BvS UE is damn masterpiece.
Yes this last batman coming is looking like crap. Whoever does the casting for this newest batman they are not very good. The batman suit the the guy from twilight is wearing looks like someone made it in their basement.
Came to watch this again, and I have to say this is like ripping the pages of a comic book or grabbing the scenes from animated Batman media and putting them in live action. The scenery, the shots, the tone, the dialogue, Batman's costume and skills, both in combat and as a detective. Joker's appearance and his entire demeanor and narcissism, the _laugh_ , it's all just perfect and extremely well executed. Perfect casting all around for every single character included, if this was made into a full length film I think it'd probably be the best Batman film.
and also Doug Jones who played so many characters in makeup and that is why many people know his face. This fan made short movie looks amazing. And Casper van Dien as Commissioner Gordon was a nice choice too. Everything looks great. The suits, the makeup, the atmosphere, the sets. Spot on. And the guy playing Batman is the cherry on the cake. Perfect casting. Looks even better than Ben Affleck in the suit (who in my opinion was the best-looking official live-action Batman ever).
That's one of the best depiction of a Batman ever seen since the good animated series. He's dark, he"s a detective, he outsmarts everyone... the atmosphere of Gotham and that joker are on point and it uses things WE know from the lore without too much talk about it, it's just part of the universe and that's it. Loved it
Kevin Porter is easily the most comic book accurate Batman we can get on live action. Congratulations to everyone involved, I can only imagine what you guys could do with more budget.
The whole point is that criminals stay scared and think twice before doing crime ever again. More effective than killing and showing some scumbag “mercy”.
The Mad Hatter sleeps with all of his "Alices", so absolutely destroying his junk takes that away from him in the future if he should ever escape Arkham.
Okay, that was really something! Bit of ham in the acting I feel; Joker was going a bit too much at some bits, but a decent performance. Bullock was... I mean, it's michael madsen, so that's pretty damn cool. But the writing, the heart, and especially the batman himself? Absolutely awesome. Someone get these kind folks a HBO series, thanks.
Apolitical, a fan made film actually made by true fans, not multi-million dollar studios obsessed with injecting politics no one wants to see. I must say, this film and team just put to shame entire movie studios in 25 minutes. Absolutely amazing. Great nods and subtle references made. I was captivated since the first minute. Music, acting, directing, costumes, lighting, continuity, editing, visuals, artistic design, boards, make-up and dialogue--just...perfect for me. The end credit song sung by Ms.Rae was also perfect. 10/10 for me. By the way, is there anyway I can donate money towards this or your next project ? I'd love to show a little of my gratitude for making millions smile and escape reality--even for a brief moment. Regards from Japan.
He´s just missing a bit of acting skills (I don´t know what it was, Ive watched and really enjoyed all his previous portrayals as Batman, but this time I felt some moments were a bit cheesy and over the top... With Joker too :S:S) I guess they just needed a bit more time, to do more takes.

I'm usually not a fan of fan films but this. This was amazing. Everything was so good and I forgot I was watching a fan film. Great job with the writing and acting. The actor who played Batman was awesome. I can't believe I'm saying this but he is the Batman I ever saw. He looks like Batman from the comics, he sounds like a mix between Kevin and something else. This was great and hope to see more great content in the future.
That little hesitation before he puts his hand on the little girls shoulder was beyond brilliant. It's those little things that make a good comic book movie.
@@benparsons4979 it is brilliant because Batman is always hiding his emotions so everyone time in a comic or movie (depends). Meaning he can’t share the emotions with that girl he is just trying to comfort her even comforting her he is hesitant because maybe it reminds him of himself a young boy scared and has no where to go getting comforted by a police officer.
Beyond brilliant is strong phrasing but it is very good characterization. A person who was unaware of the Batman mythos would understand he has interpersonal issues.
I was just about to type the same thing. Always great to see another amazing actor that put in more than enough time and work cast in a fan film that is just as good as anything else out there! Long Live Bat In The Sun!

Riddler has his puzzles...Without me you'll become your worst fear thus being upstaged by everyone here". Such great quote, I'm not going to lie to you.
That was actually pretty good. I'd be interested in seeing how the lead actor handles Bruce Wayne. The Joker looked perfect, though his acting was slightly melodramatic at times. I'm guessing classically trained. A little more subtly could have pushed it over the edge. Regardless, very, very well done. And Michael Madson was an inspired choice.
There are many videos from this channel where Kevin Porter plays Bruce Wayne. I recommend City of Scars, heavly. And a separated one called "Truth of the Mask".
I thought Madsen was a great choice for Bullock when I first realized it was him but, really, his acting sucked. I was disappointed. Aside from him, the rest of the film was pretty good.

This was a masterpiece. That guys portrayal of Batman is probably the best I’ve seen. Reminds me a lot of the animated series Batman, which has always been my favorite
Do tell mr. Porter that he absolutely nailed the role to a degree I barely considered possible to be done in live action. He's got it all. The looks, voice, demeanor. It's all there. A remarkable Batman all around.
2:44 I like how Shreck Towers is visible, as a callback to Batman Returns. Ace Chemicals is Axis instead, as a callback to Batman 1989 and The Animated Series. The Iceberg is also visible.
Right? These guys are better than anything Hollywood has done with the characters. Aaron ' s Joker is right up there with Heath Ledger and Matt Hamill.

Definitely the definitive version of the Batman. Amazing fighter, great detective, never kills criminals and most importantly he can talk like Batman. Imo best live action Batman ever put on the screen.

Absolutely! The animated and Arkham games.
Batman
Cringe
Exactly
Cool detail I noticed: The prisoner IDs on each of the villains that we see in Arkham represent the year that they first appeared!
Mr. Freeze: 0059 = February 1959
Victor Zsasz: 0092 = June 1992
Riddler: 0048 = October 1948
Condiment King: 0094 = November 1994
Poison Ivy: 0066 = April 1966
Harley Quinn: 0093 = September 1992 (I'm guessing they made it 93 so she wouldn't have the same number as Zsasz)
Joker: 0040 = April 1940
Even though you can't see a number for Killer Croc, I'm guessing his number would've been 0083, since his first appearance was in February of 1983.

Chris Nolan has already made a great Batman trilogy
NO! Too much money would spoil them. Quality comes from having to be lean.😁
This Batman rules! The voice, the attitude, the cowl and costume. Kevin Porter is just a role the Batman plays to fool us all.
*WHY ISN’T THERE A BATMAN SHOW LIKE THIS ON TV?!*
Can you even imagine how many people would jump at the chance to watch something as awesome as this every week?
It would end up on the CW.
WB dont care about a Batman tv show they only care about another Batman trilogy because the last one made $$$$$$$$$$$$
All I can see like a series like this.
Aren't they making a batman show that is linked to the new movie coming out next year.
It will probably be filled with sjw race swapping
Kevin Porter's Batman is Ben Affleck's body with Kevin Conroy's voice and a better team of writers and directors than Warner Bros. could put together. The "Bat in the sun" team should be given a larger budget. Imagine what they could accomplish.
I agree
I agree 100% even though I did LOVE Batman v Superman (the Ultimate Edition of course) and the fight paid homage to the warehouse scene in Batman v Superman!

Yes this last batman coming is looking like crap. Whoever does the casting for this newest batman they are not very good. The batman suit the the guy from twilight is wearing looks like someone made it in their basement.
This is what happens when actual fans of the material get together. Really great casting
The director maybe the biggest fan but doesn't have enough creative control due to the movie producers and studio having the final say

This looks like a Batman one-shot comic coming to life.
The actor portraying Gordon in the beginning is spot on! Best I've seen.

So many things to say about how much i loved this but i will say only one: jokers facial expressions are unique and satisfying
That little hesitation before he puts his hand on the little girls shoulder was beyond brilliant. It's those little things that make a good comic book movie.
why was it beyond brilliant exactly?
Dude, seriously?
@@benparsons4979 it is brilliant because Batman is always hiding his emotions so everyone time in a comic or movie (depends). Meaning he can’t share the emotions with that girl he is just trying to comfort her even comforting her he is hesitant because maybe it reminds him of himself a young boy scared and has no where to go getting comforted by a police officer.
Beyond brilliant is strong phrasing but it is very good characterization. A person who was unaware of the Batman mythos would understand he has interpersonal issues.
