Thank you everyone who has supported this film for as long as it took to complete. Let us know in the comments your favorite scene and what villain should be in the sequel!
Fantastic flick, only small criticism is that The Joker goes down too easily. Remember he has a madman's strength, he is immune to pain and he's a highly skill fighter. He's beaten Batman in fist fights several times including their first encounter back in Batman issue one. Other than that it's amazing, so much better than any Hollywood live action attempts. The guy playing The Joker is second only to Mark Hamill.
I agree, most of the time the excuse is that it makes the actor's expressions difficult, but recently the opposite has been proven. Other than that, Batman with white lenses makes a lot more sense, so he can't be recognized by his eyes and instills fear in his enemies by giving him the impression of being a shadow creature.
I liked the nods to the tv series Batman when Batman punches the Joker and he falls back on a sign that says "Pow!" and the nod to the animated series where Batman is on top of the building and lightning strikes.
That stalking scene is one of the absolute best live action Batman moments ever. It really nails the concept of Batman being a supernatural demon to his enemies instead of just a man. Love it.
One of my favorite scenes too, and honestly we just made it up on the spot because it was late, raining, and too dangerous in that building to do any stunts!
Batman should be like a horror movie to the mooks that encounter him. That's for sure. True, Joker is too nuts to be afraid of him, but everybody else should be.
Yes. Finally. This is how you do Joker right. He has to be as intelligent as he is insane. He has to be as entertaining as he is sadistic. It's a crazy balancing act and this portrayal hits all the marks. Awesome
This Joker is ok.....if it doesn't take his time to be this slow. His lines is close to a kid show cause he sounds a bit....helpful. However, his smile is iconic 👍 I'll give him that
what an amazingly original take on the joker! i love how this whole thing is played so over the top and doesn't take itself too seriously. fantastic stuff, i'm only 11 minutes in but MY GOD, great work by everyone involved! i wish you all the best, y'all are talented as hell! love it
If you are talking about the scene in the alley with the yellow flashlight, we had to shoot that 3 times, multiple green screen plates and about 2 months of headaches trying to get it right! Finally it scares somebody!
A lot of this was absolutely amazing. The Bat, maybe not so much, but you work with what you got. B-man is a very large and muscular man in stature, this gives me no such vibe, but your joker plays the role SO good, I dont even care about how poorly the things he says come out, you capture his cynysism, his demeanor, his calm yet absolutely insane logic and cunning. And every scene outside of it all, is a masterpiece, except for the dialogue, but thats just poor acting, that can always get better. I am very impressed overall, one of the best ones ever made, certainly beats Dying is easy...
Combat sequences were very good, you also made one spooky Batman, good job keeping the eyes white, and you made him be only a shadow… scenes where he arrives from above were surreal meaning awesome 👏🏻 I loved you short movie

And I haven't watched the animated series in years but I just had to look up the intro after watching this. The fighting choreography was better than in a lot of movies. In a sequel I would hope for more gadgets, but I get it's hard to do with a limited budget.
Thank you so much! The fight scenes had to be top notch or the whole movie wouldn't work in my opinion. Low budget did make it hard for more gadgets but we kind of leaned into it, as I wanted Batman to be more of a ghost rather than a man with tools, but I did make exceptions because I liked the grapple gun we had. @@NoirTech83 absolutely the sound design was 100%. Total dedication. So many of the Batman fan films out there- always fall short on the fight scenes- especially with the fight sfx, itself. but the sound design is just as cared for in all departments for you guys. @@NMFILMPRODUCTIONS Thank you so much man! Yes I decided from the start that the sound had to be THICK, it was months of layering but I'd never take it back. I also kept all the sound files so if I make a sequel, I will have a head start, since many similar sounds will be needed again. For your next film, you can save time by gathering sound before you even start shooting or editing if you have time, sort of post production prep during pre production.

I like they tweaked the Jokers look and style a little bit. I mean yes he's wearing same clothes but his voice and his dorky jokes is refreshing. His portrayal is so wicked and original. Dam good video!!
There are so many things I love about this film, which I literally stumbled upon! This is my new favorite Batman seen to date. The filming of the fight scenes and choreography is the best. He’s skilled and a brawler, and the white eye size is perfect. The characters are splendid and congratulations to the director and crew, you’ve done what WB has been trying to do for years on a budget 1/100th the size that they have! So enjoyed your hard work, thank you!
@@NoirTech83 You’re so welcome! Your efforts are expressed in this piece and I want you to know we’re rooting for your big time success! Keep pushing and raising the bar!
Loved it… nice blend of influences and very well shot. Love that you gave him the white eyes… I know that opinions vary, but I have never been a fan of maybelline Batman. The glowing eyes give the scenes in the dark a whole new dimension. It has an over all aesthetic closest to the Animated Series, and that’s the gold standard as far as I’m concerned. Awesome job!
And for most of us, this was the first fighting scene any of us have ever done in a movie, 2 of the henchmen have never even been in front of a camera before. Thank you!!
Good Times! Lately these Fan Made Bat-mini/movies, have been very entertaining,& enjoyable, I watched “Batman:The Oath for the first time week, took me right back to 1989 Batman &1992 Batman Returns! It Blends Burton’s Directorial Style, & Keaton’s “Bat-Swagger”(nicely done) Those 2 remain my Favorites! Classics. The Bat- Last Laugh was Totally Different but also Very enjoyable!!! Amazing Graphic Shot of the Batman Leaping into Action tru the Skylight,( they used that effect twice) both times just as effective, The Joker was….just kinda ok, But The BATMAN! This Guy was “Bat-tas-tic” although Brutally efficient in a Fight, His every movement was Straight out of everything we all Know About the Legend of the bat! The Master level Marksmanship with the “bat a rang” those White eye slits peering out of the darkness,of His Mask, out of the Night. Yes Sir, GOOD Stuff!!! My Favorite Fan-made Bat/mini is “BATMAN:Dead End. If you haven’t seen it, & you like these short films, it’s well worth the time, Thanks to you FAN-Film-makers For Sharing your Talents&Dreams Best Wishes to you&yours.🦇🦇🦇🦇
I love the somewhat makeshift look to Batman's costume. Really makes it feel like the early days of his career. The knuckle guards are an especially nice touch.
The most accurate Batman ever, true to the comics and the style which the mainstream films have long since abandoned. Joe Grisaffi and Marcus are amazing in the leads, but really every little element and easter egg counts and makes Gotham come to life. So thrilled to see such a talented young filmmaker coming out of Houston Texas!!!
@@dragonwarriorht High praise to be compared to Dying is Easy, though I would say both of our movies are accurately portraying different styles of Batman, which has evolved in many directions over many decades.
@@dragonwarriorht It is grey, maybe because there is low lighting it looks black. Has a slight metallic blue tint to it, but is darker than Afflecks grey suit.
the story makes no sense and the pacing and writing is all over the place, but that's also kind of what makes it work so well and feel so true to the comics. the choreography, sound design, editing and acting are all phenomenal. also that is one of the best live action jokers of all time. bravo to everyone involved, this made my day. would love a sequel, or for someone to hand you a bunch of money because this is way better than the shit hollywood puts out.
What a fun fan film! I loved the noir style; it reminded me a lot of The Batman Animated Series. The approach also felt very comicbook-esque. I think the artistic choice to go with white lenses for Batman was one of my favorite character design choices. Your Joker's different types of laughs was one of the best parts; it was so very uncanny. I hope you make a sequel one day! Just link us to the Indiegogo and I'm on board!
I just watched it twice and enjoyed it all. I like the portrayal of Batman more than most of the ones I have seen in the big-budget movies. The production values are splendid. The sound is excellent. The acting and the action scenes were professional all the way. My son Chris contributed some sounds to the music track and I know several of the people who were in the cast or part of the crew, but that in no way influenced my judgment of the film. It really did knock me out! POW !!!!!
As Batman fan films go, this is pretty damn awesome. It’s just a shame that you couldn’t use the characters’ names (Yeah, we all know who Batman and the Joker are, but for anyone new to this, the context could be helpful.)
As far as fan films go, I don’t think I would have had any more legal trouble using their names than making the actual movie. I purposely didn’t use their names in the movie as a story telling choice. When writing the script it looked weird having Joker’s men call him Joker, and it was intended to be Batman and Joker’s first meeting so no one would know Batman’s name. It felt more mysterious to talk of Batman like this boogeyman who shall not be named. Thank you for watching!
@@NoirTech83 Okay, then. So, it was more of a creative choice to not use the the names? After Gotham got denied permission from Warner Bros to use the Joker’s name, I just openly assumed that legal problem extended to fan films, too for some reason. The film was fantastic, by the way. Well done! Bravo!
@@pandaman1677 thank you so much! What’s amazing is only one of the actors and myself who played Batman had any fight choreography experience. Everyone else literally learned on the spot.
It might have ended up just sounding like Hamil's Skeletor too lol. Some of the writing I had Hamils Joker in mind, but the performance was definitely more of a Goodfellas mobster with a dash of Cesar Romero. Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already, we will be making a sequel with Mr. Freeze!
Hell yeah! I was tired of the sloppy brawler that Bale became, and wanted to show a more skilled fighter. An experienced fighter fighting untrained men might as well be fighting children.
Eeeh no. It doesn't matter how good of a fighter you are, a group of guys will still beat you up pretty bad. (A guy whose had martial arts training since he was 10).
thank you! Tell your friends about it, if we get enough views on this one, we will make part 2 which introduces Mr. Freeze, with the "Heart of Ice" treatment!
Badass definitely badass... I love everything about your movie, especially the fact that Batman's eyes can't be seen...That makes him even scarier...The fight scenes : Batman looks like he could do A LOT MORE damage without even breaking a sweat, I'm even surprised these idiots don't run away instead of trying to take him on...And lastly the Joker : That is so far the best version of the character I've seen...The actor is amazing and the dialogues exactly what I would have expected...And for some reason he reminds me of David Lee Roth 😄😄
This was not bad at all! Love the suit and the fight scenes with batman. The headbutt scene had me cracking up 😎😂. To get a guy in arm bar and break his entire arm and hand three different ways was beast! 🙌🏽 Why would anyone want to fight a man that has that kind of strength and knowledge to do that kind of damage without killing them in a fight? 🤷🏾♂️
Amazing film and an amazing job well done to everyone involved! The imagery, cinematography, fight choreography, score, dialogue... everything about it meshes so well together and truly pulls you in!

this is a perfect batman fan film. the fight choreography is super brutal and awesome so I’d be really interested to see another skilled fighter to match batman in the next one, like bane, shiva, or even deathstroke
I love how the Joker is genuinely creepy in this! I was never unsettled by any live-action Joker as much as this version. The casting was just perfect! It’s cool to see someone making their own Joker instead of imitating Heath Ledger or Mark Hamill.
A huge compliment! Thank you, the Joker role was written for this actor from the beginning, had he turned it down, I would’ve picked a different villain.
I know the BLOOD, SWEAT, & TEARS that went to this amazing work. It's truly a stand-alone piece that pays just enough homage to It's many predecessors to make you go, "OK! That's Cool!" For your next film, you can save time by gathering sound before you even start shooting or editing if you have time, sort of post production prep during pre production.
@@NoirTech83 that’s the exact technique I used for my last film! 3 years of studying and gathering sound and ideas and such- funny enough particularly in the bone breaking cause there is a lot of that in my film- might I add the bone snaps in yours are 👌🏼😩 amazingly well done. Not cheesy or corny in the slightest- painful and raw as they should sound 👍🏼.
I gotta admit i nearly turned it off at the start but glad i didnt, i love the time period setting the bat suit looks great reminds me of the teltame game love the 66 and animated references, had a nolan esq feel to it would love to see more
I like they tweaked the Jokers look and style a little bit.
Thanks man! We have a sequel planned too!
@@NoirTech83 You’re so welcome! Your efforts are expressed in this piece and I want you to know we’re rooting for your big time success! Keep pushing and raising the bar!
Phenomenal choreography and costumes
Loved it… nice blend of influences and very well shot. Love that you gave him the white eyes… I know that opinions vary, but I have never been a fan of maybelline Batman. The glowing eyes give the scenes in the dark a whole new dimension. It has an over all aesthetic closest to the Animated Series, and that’s the gold standard as far as I’m concerned. Awesome job!
The impacts in the fights are absolutely brilliant. These looks more real than most Hollywood films. Really amazing work presenting Bat’s power.
Thank you! The knuckle guards were really needed for punching the trash can lid!
Thank you so much! There are many easter eggs for sharp eyed fans.
This one is good
But I guess "Dying is Easy" is even more accurate.
Tho this one is cool too
@@dragonwarriorht High praise to be compared to Dying is Easy, though I would say both of our movies are accurately portraying different styles of Batman, which has evolved in many directions over many decades.
@@NoirTech83 Yep yours is good action is perfect mostly. I wish you made the suit grey tho
@@dragonwarriorht It is grey, maybe because there is low lighting it looks black. Has a slight metallic blue tint to it, but is darker than Afflecks grey suit.
Awesome!!
the story makes no sense and the pacing and writing is all over the place, but that's also kind of what makes it work so well and feel so true to the comics. the choreography, sound design, editing and acting are all phenomenal. also that is one of the best live action jokers of all time. bravo to everyone involved, this made my day. would love a sequel, or for someone to hand you a bunch of money because this is way better than the shit hollywood puts out.
Very well done! I'm 46 and a life long Batman fan and this was definitely one of if not the best fan made film I've seen.
What a way to brighten my day sir!
I admit, I laughed at Joker's quips and jokes, usually followed by "Haha WTF?! I'm a horrible person for laughing at this! 😆 🤣 😂"
Spot on!
POW !!!!!
Thank you so much! Yes Chris's sax playing was so good, I wish there were more opportunities to include more of it in the movie
This was awesome, good camera work, good fight choreography, nice atmosphere also, I love the adam west gag with the pow 😂
Thank you! Believe it or not I found that POW sign in a parking lot, the wind blew it at my feet.
That’s cool @@NoirTech83
One of my favorite bits, I helped figure out how to make the falling picture work.
Well done! Bravo!
Better fighting than Nolan’s trilogy and Pattinson’s Batman
Batman’s white eyes👍
@@pandaman1677 thank you so much! What’s amazing is only one of the actors and myself who played Batman had any fight choreography experience. Everyone else literally learned on the spot.
It turned out so well! I love batman and am glad I got to do a very minor part in it! Thanks for the opportunity! Keep making great films!
I forgot that it's your voice, I can't even remember how the original sounds anymore!
NOW THATS HOW YOU DO BATMAN!!! Off the chain!!
Thanks man! Make sure to subscribe because we are going to do a sequel with Mr. Freeze!
Esta es la mejor adaptación a live-acion que e visto en mi vida.
Amazing choreography!!!
Thank you, it took probably 6-7 days to film the fight scene in the red hallway
Thank you so much for not doing a Mark Hamill impression
It might have ended up just sounding like Hamil's Skeletor too lol. Some of the writing I had Hamils Joker in mind, but the performance was definitely more of a Goodfellas mobster with a dash of Cesar Romero. Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already, we will be making a sequel with Mr. Freeze!
@@NoirTech83 he sounds a lot more like jack napier from the 89 movie( jack nicholson), looks the part too. Mobster vibe
@@yagamijubei28 Jack Napier played by Jack Nicholson, talking to Jack Palance, a Jack for all trades.
@@NoirTech83 thats the most awesome part.
Finally the version of Bat who is untouhed by two bit street thugs and doesn't need saving by a 5 feet anemic teenager in catsuit.
@@ragemonkey117 I guess you haven't read my comment properly, your response doesn't indicate so.
what an uncanny joker, I love it.
The role was written just for Joe Grisaffi and he did a wonderful job of some how blending familiar versions of Joker, and while being original.
So... Batman stopped a group of cops who were about to get Joker, only to tie Joker up on a roof for the cops to then get him again...?
What...?
yup!
Hell yeah love this film!! Love the look and feel!
So fantastic!! I enjoyed all the scenes, but over all the Joker (So terrific actor!)
This is the live action Batman film true Batman fans been waiting for
thank you! Tell your friends about it, if we get enough views on this one, we will make part 2 which introduces Mr. Freeze, with the "Heart of Ice" treatment!
What color is the batsuit?
@@samirhall7530 It is grey, with a slight blue tint to it. Maybe it doesn't come across on camera, since some others said they wish the suit was grey.
Thanks man! Make sure to subscribe so you can be notified when we make the sequel!
@@NoirTech83 Done 🙂🙂
not bad at alllllll!! waiting for more!
I've seen a lot of Batman fan films (Great ones) but this is tops. I really enjoyed everything about it. Keep up the great work.
Wow thank you so much! I hope to make another one and outdo this one.
@@NoirTech83 Sounds good.
This deserves more love
it sure does!
A great movie thoroughly enjoyed watching it joker was great Batman was amazing I wouldn’t mind seeing Bane in a future film
this by far is one of the best batman fan film I've seen in a while so nice work to everyone involved
Excellent. This demonstrates what Batman boils down to. No sidekick, not a lot of hardware., strike from the dark and scare them
Haha. This is great! You just need more background music during the joker scenes. I love the brute force style of batman.😀
THIS WAS AMAZING 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Telltale batman vibes
I never played the game but watched a lot of the cut scenes, it was one of the inspirations for this for sure!
Best Batman Fan Film so far.. imagine 30 minutes without me skipping.. not even one sec... That's rare
Thank you very much!!
Well done ✔️ You certainly have what WB is lacking. Keep us fan-made filmmakers and DC comic fans proud 👏
Thank you so much for the kind words! Now if only I could get some of that WB money!
@@NoirTech83 I wouldn't worry about that. Great films were made on low budgets.
Fun. Little something, camera shake or something and it be megamovie😊
Amazing film and an amazing job well done to everyone involved! The imagery, cinematography, fight choreography, score, dialogue... everything about it meshes so well together and truly pulls you in!
Here's a man with good taste!
The best batman ever. I thank the director and everyone involved in making this vision of batman possible....this is the type of batman we wish to see.. You guys made our dreams come true...
Thank you !!!
WOW Thank you so much! This was my dream come true as well!
this is a perfect batman fan film. the fight choreography is super brutal and awesome so I’d be really interested to see another skilled fighter to match batman in the next one, like bane, shiva, or even deathstroke
A WW2 looking DeathStroke was in the works for this one, but we didn't have the time to pull it off, so maybe for the sequel!
That's Cool!" That's what is awesome about this film. It respects it's roots, gives you some new tweaks and in the end...
"LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE!!!"
Thank you! I will slowly release more in the future to fix that itch!
