My mom had a 1987 190e with the 1.9L gas engine, not only was it powerful, but the odometer stopped working at 296,000 miles, and my mom drove it for three years without it working. It needed a water pump and the mechanic told her $1500 to replace it, so she sold it to him. I would've loved for that to have been my first car. It was black with a tan leather interior.

this Merc was original a gasoline car. you can see the ignition coil on the left front behind the headlamp and the rev-meter goes up to 7000 RPM. no OM from Mercedes revs so high. but impressive to see, that this old car may be fallen apart, the engine starts like it was parked 2 days ago. great vid, flexiny, als always. thumbs up.

W123 can be beaten up and with lots of dents everywhere and also full of rust but it will always start. It can survive many accidents and that's not gonna stop it either. I have a 200 MB W123. Actually it was a gift from my grandpa and I will never sell it best car ever. ❤️

Great car👍. These cars auto transmission can be rebuilt though. It just needs bands, gaskets, clutch packs and vaccum modulator for smooth shifting. It dosent have electronics. Its all mechanical.
...and yet new shiny cars sits on the yards of workshops with broken motors because of various stupid reasons...and manufacturers obviously did that on purpose. Due to that I don't dream of owning a new car. I want W123.
