    Whoever framed that shot really did a great job 😂

      Haha! I can't take credit for it, but I'll make sure to let the shot framer know they did a great job. Maybe they missed their calling as a Hollywood cinematographer!

    Lectric has LG batteries. I have the XPedition. I got mine 2 months ago, and that was one of the main reasons I purchased it.

    For the Black Friday sale, I got the Lectric Xpedition, with dual batteries with a possibly range of 150 miles, for the same price as the Aventon. It came with two mirrors, a folding lock, two seat cushions, running boards, their version of the cage you have on the others, and two panniers for each side. I am not sure why you didn't mention that. Also, Lectric has about 4 pages of acessories.

      its more like 50 miles for the dual battery version...

      @@jamesbowie1820 I haven't paid that much attention, but getting more than that, but usually on PAS 2-3 and pretty flat where I am. But you are right, I would have to hyper-ride, PAS 1 or 2 on pretty flat land, with a lot of coasting. That first post was right after I got it.

    If I was getting a cargo bike, I’d take a long look at the Globe Haul ST (or LT). Yes, they are about a grand more, but it looks like very versatile and capable bikes. Thanks for giving your review of these three.

      The Globe Haul looks like a great ebike. I'd say if you're willing to spend $3500 or so on the Globe Haul LT, you should also look into a Tern GSD(this to me if my fav. cargo ebike) even though it's about $4500 +.
      Thanks for the comment! Maybe one day I can get my hands on the Globe Haul!

      Thanks for the comment. I would love to review the Globe Haul. We'll see if one of the shops we visit would let us use one to review it.
      It's great to see high end bike brands releasing more affordable ebikes rather than $5-10k range.

    I’m trying to decide between the Abound and Xpeition. I live in a hilly area. My wife has the Xpedition. Tough choice. I know if I had a higher budget I’d choose the Murf Alpha Cargo.

    If the abound came with an extra battery (not one I'd have to carry in a backpack or stash in one of the racks), and worked for taller riders, I'd get it. But since it doesn't, for me Lectric is the winner. I wish Lectric had torque sensing, though.

      That's true there is no integrated 2nd battery (unlike the XPedition) on the abound which is a bummer.

    Can you say which one would be best for a 145 lb passenger? Driver weighs 170. I have no interest in any cargo, just the wife. lol. Transitioning from a Harley Davidson as age creeps up. 71 and 69. 😢. Also, will the accessories for Lectric fit on the Abound rear rack? Doesn’t look like they have a “chair” style seat like the Xpedition. That small pad and little backrest won’t get it. 😩. Thanks for your help and this in depth review!

    You skipped over range comparison/advantages based on the dual battery setup on the XPedition vs the other bikes... kind of the whole reason I watched this video. Other than that the review was good, but didn't help my decision. 😕

    • @Top5ebikes
      @Top5ebikes  10 місяців тому +1

      Thank you and apologies for not spending much time on the range. There are so many topics to cover in these comparisons!
      Range wise, based on my riding experience the Abound has much better range (if you compare single batteries to make it an apples to apples comparison). Obviously the XPedition dual battery version can get you more range bc of the double Watt Hrs. In my own experience, torque sensors get me a better range.

    Do you find the Abound makes a whining noise at higher speeds?

    • @Top5ebikes
      @Top5ebikes  11 місяців тому +1

      No noise for me. Out of the box there was noise from the rotor but that was a minor fix.
