    The 5th point is severely underrated, because being skilled is simply not enough. No matter how good the players are, mistakes are bound to be made when everyone is progging on even grounds.
    This is one of the better informative videos that is directed to newer players who show interests in ultimates. =w=)b

    Honestly, the word 'Ultimate' kinda intimidates and discourage me as a player who just recently trying FFXIV's raid
    Kinda still gathering courage to start dipping into one of the ultimate but thanks for your tips now I know where should I start and notes! I really feel encouraged and thrilled to try the real thing ASAP! 😁

    Currently stuck at step 1. Here's hoping I can clear before Dawntrail! (P11S prog going slow but steady)

    i think the static tip is true, i feel like a any time spent with a static on the same fight is so much better than like 5 hours a day of pf

    • @DarkDyllon
      @DarkDyllon 11 місяців тому +3

      highly depends on when you do it.
      for example, Light DC is very active on every ultimate and is constantly filling with helpers etc, that's how i got my DSR clear after progging DSR (for a 2nd time) for the 2nd 6 months with a static.
      sure it was a push to get the clear, but spoiler alert, that static still hasn't cleared and only 4/8 have the DSR clear (all from PF at seperate times)
      it highly depends on the compentancy of that static, it's very easy for 1 or 2 static members who are naturally the weakest links within that static to hold you back hard, for example, we had a tank who was concistently fucking up phase 6 tank busters, there isn't much we can do to help this person, he researched shit but still couldn't do it, it was a coin flip if we make it past the last tank busters because of him.
      or we had 1 healer and 1 melee generally messing up death of the heavens playstation mechanic, automatically defaulting to "time spend in the static is better than in PF" is a false statement, if it fills, you can likely get more prog in with ultimate PF, as those people tend to stick around longer, sure you can hit a wall there, but the same can be said about statics.

    While i agree in principle with the suggestions. I would say that if you want to go straight to ultimate, go there. Im a sprout, 2 months and a half into the game and i already cleared both UWU and UCOB, both in partyfinder. Its all about patience.

      i did the same thing, cleared uwu before even touching savage, ultimate helped me a ton with raid awareness

      @pteronura6739 yep, I ended up clearing UWU Ucob TEA DSR before even touching savage, only got into it after DSR as that left me somewhat burned out. Currently progging TOP in P3 without ever touched P12S because the rewards for that floor suck dick and there is no need to do it.

      So you just went into ultimates with a video guide or whatever guide you had watched a winged it? I feel like you’d be kicked almost instantly, would you not? I’m a wow player and I can’t imagine someone coming into a mythic raid who’s never done it before and nobody noticing.

    i dont agree with the getting blue parce thing. i completed both TEA and UWU just fine, and according to fflogs i have gray parces. just so long as you put in the work and keep your damage constant you can clear content.

    • @aylaveen
      @aylaveen  11 місяців тому +5

      yes you definitely can clear without it. but it's just my suggestion.
      for example: on average you might need all DPS to hit 2.8- 3 k-ish rDPS on TEA. if you perform like 2.5 k rDPS , your other DPSes needs to cover for your lack of 300 rDPS. Which is fine btw, but I would recommend to pull your own weight rDPS wise.

    • @DarkDyllon
      @DarkDyllon 11 місяців тому

      no, it is kinda essential, because i can garantee you that you have very little knowledge and mastery over your job and you got carried hard DPS wise.
      if you get a high blue to low purple it shows you know your job well enough to do it without thinking on it, with either RNG or minor mistakes in the way of mastery.
      you might be there mechanically, but aslong as you can't do your rotation without thinking on it, you're getting carried, if you would do DSR, you would 100% hit a DPS check at some point, if it isn't phase 2 (because phase 1 DPS check is a joke) it'll be phase 3 or phase 5, if not phase 7 enrage, previous expansions ultimates have their dps check severely lowered at this point, so i'd still say that getting atleast a high blue to low purple is essential to getting into ultimates, you might disagree, but most statics look specifically for players who show concistency.
      if i get an applicant, shows me 20 grey, with that being the highest and concistently parsing grey, i'll not concider you, DPS is a factor and i expect you to know your job well enough to be able to hold a rotation going without having to tunnel vision your hotbar, it also tells me how good you are in general, if you got a few grey, but also greens and blue's then i'll concider you.

      @@DarkDyllon i'v had many people including my self die at perfect alex and we never clear but when I don't die at perfect alex and same for everyone else we clear. yet I still see my dps is a gray parce.
      if everyone wishes to parce to blue or purple I am not telling them not to. I am clearly an exception to this rule is all.
      now i have spoke my peace on the matter. i am done with this topic.

    • @aylaveen
      @aylaveen  11 місяців тому

      @@darkfallergames just to make it clear, I never said that grey parse in ultimate is a problem. the topic was about having a blue/purple on savage - not on the ultimate.
      as this vid is about people preparing for ultimate and not the ones already clearing it.
      blue/ purple on savage means you atleast know your class, but having blue/purple on ultimate is very far fetched as parsing on ultimate requires better optimization and very specific small detail mechanic that not everyone can do.

    P10 is prob more hard then uwu now days lmao

    • @aylaveen
      @aylaveen  10 місяців тому

      it is. But UWU is still an ultimate with the length of fight around 12-14 mins. I would say it still require more focus. although I can say on patch week 1 with minilvl, P10s is probably harder than UWU as it stands right now.

    6th if you are a fast learner and a nerdge at optimizating your class, go PF(if u have a ton of free time) the static will eventually hold you that´s a given been in both sides done all ultimates thru pf and been in statics. (also some statics wont even take you cus you are too fresh) LOL! carefull with "statics"
