Excellent! Very helpful. I’ve been starting to stitch together these patterns and it really has helped my playing. Writing it is great for helping with memorization. Thanks Korey!
This is the lesson I needed. I've been working on learning the fretboard, which is a heavy lift. Taking some of my practice time off the fretboard is going to really help this process tremendously tyvm
@10:30 can we have a video elaborating these patterns? Can we switch patterns in our solos? Say for example I’m playing in C major and an A minor chord pops up. The minor patterns I can use are A aeolian but can I switch it to be Phrygian? I’ve switched between Dorian and aeolian countless times but I didn’t really put the two together. Or with major switch between Ionian and Lydian? Ofc locrian and mixolydian are their own thing but how would this work in a similar context, if it does work?
@@KoreyHicksGuitar thank you so much, this was seriously eye opening. I’ll need to review this video a few times to digest this information and to learn the notes on my fretboard
