There’s nothing better than GT7 vr, pulse 3D headphones, and a good wheel setup. It really makes you feel like your in the car it’s so much fun especially driving around tracks with huge elevation changes like the Nurburgring with rain on, the rain definitely hits different in vr.
Would love to see more VR content from you! Most of the popular games journalists aren't really VR enthusiasts and don't really have context for what they're talking about, so it's refreshing to hear your takes.
Been playing RE VIII in VR, loving the experience. The game is challenging but duel weilding the knife with the gun helps in some scenarios. Also throwing the knife at the goats and crystal shards saves ammo. Wasn't one of those Lady D enthusiasts before, but seeing her in person just hits differently lol.
YES! I used to watch you all the time and then I got the VR bug in 2017 and haven't been back in a flat game since! 30K hours in VR and I'm excited to get to watch you again with some VR content! Will watch every VR video you make. Missed your content! 🔥
As a first time.vr user.. I hope psvr 2 gets lots of love and vr in general.. playing village in vr was one of the best gaming experience I've ever had
Played 3 hours of RE: Village yesterday. Amazing how much more inmersive and fun it is with VR. The way you now interact with your weapons is very cool. Graphics looks amazing. I can't wait to play more after work!
Whats really crazy is that every Resident Evil VR title for me has been the best VR experiences on any headset. They're really doing it right with the RE series in VR, I wish more games could figure it out. Even RE4 on the quest is basically as good as RE Village, which is crazy. It doesnt look as nice but the experience is just as good on a mobile headset. If other series figured it out like this, I'd own all the VRs
When I tried the Kayak VR jungle area at night my eyes had to adjust to how incredibly dark it was. Unbelievable how detailed night environments look even in pitch black.😮
For the life of me I can’t figure out why Sony doesn’t push Astro Bot more, especially on VR. It’d be such a great mascot to hook people into the tech.
I love Vr! It is by far my favorite way to play games now. Being in the game is so much more immersive. RE VILLAGE Is insane. Everyone has to experience it
I had absolutely no intention of buying GT7 until the VR update. I did not expect it to be so good. Racing wheel and pedals are essential though. Go cheap if you have to. It'll still beat the controller.
Right? I haven't played racing games in so long... I should have bought the digital deluxe version when it was on sale on PSN a few weeks ago.. but got the disc on sale for $39.99, and a few days later found a used Playseat and ordered a wheel/pedals/shifter to go with it..setting it up tonight. Did NOT intend to buy all that stuff but no regrets! It is AMAZING, so much fun
I'm not interested in racing games. But I did get GT7 for VR. And it's great. I don't plan on getting anything like a wheel or pedals though. I'll just stick with controller since racing games aren't my favorite anyway. Still, amazing experience in VR.
I'm realy impressed with PSVR2, and I've been into PC VR for 6 years, had 5 headsets, and my latest PC VR headset is a Pimax 8KX. It is amazing what Sony have done, at half the cost of a PC VR headset, you get a massive IPD adjustment (going to 75mm IPD), eye tracking, foveated rendering, haptics, if we had all of these in PC VR we would be amazed! Can't wait for the next generation of PC VR headsets.
@@paulatredies9242 why because i agreed with him that pcvr is lacking but also said psvr next gen is the one to be excited for not pcvr. Oh no how could i. Why so sensitive buttercup?
@@joeydirt420 you didn’t agree that PCVR is ‘lacking’, you said it was shit will ‘always be’. He didn’t say anything like that. Then you proclaimed that Sony WILL be dropping tons of exclusives which will kill it. Huh. For someone just agreeing you seem to know a lot about the future. As a Sony enthusiast I hope PSVR2 will be incredible, with that being said the odds of it ‘killing’ PC, not gonna happen. It may motivate and influence PCVR, as the o.p. suggested originally, kill it though? Hence my dub of your statement sounding like a troll. And now you’re sweet on me? Well, that’s nice at least.
Also with Horizon, they have a Safari Boat ride. I rode that thing like 20 times. It’s like a Universal Studios ride, but at home. It’s really clear, and the head vibration just brings everything together. The robot dinosaurs and what happens is just amazing. That alone was worth it IMO, but the game itself is really good. Second FULL VR game I’ve ever beat. The first was RE7. Third will be RE8 LOL
Psvr2 is my first vr experience and i love it. I have even got to where i dont get sick nearly as often. Blown away by gt7 and re8. Like you im really hoping sony gets behind this. Could be so awesome!
Welcome to the world of VR! The first few weeks in VR are the hardest - one important piece of advice: If you start feeling motion sick, STOP and don't try to power through because it rarely ends well. Sounds like you're taking breaks which is absolutely the right approach. You'll develop your "VR legs" with a little patience, but resist the urge to just play on if nausea sets in because it can really mess with you for hours if it gets bad enough. Enjoy your new system!!
Hey Jake! If you’re still wanting to check out another VR game, try The Light Brigade. It’s basically a WWII roguelike shooter with different classes to upgrade and a bunch of spell wands or accessories you find to aid you on a run. Been having a blast with it.
Hey Jake, just pre-ordered my psvr2 for when it arrives to my country. Can't wait to try out gt7 with a steering wheel and I'll definitely will play several of your recommendations. In particular, Tetris, Horizon and pistol whip look incredible (the last one fills me with a very nostalgic arcade feeling). I've been watching you for a while but this is my first comment. Love your positive attitude and passion!
The lineup is already pretty strong. But the rumored and announced games are what's really interesting. Half Life Alyx is heavily rumored. Firesprite (developers of Horizon call of the mountain) took over development of a Twisted Metal game last year and its rumored to be playable in VR too. And coming this year. Plus Capcom just clarified further, and said they are working on a VR mode for res 4. So now people are assuming it's not just additional dlc, but the full re4 remaster in VR. Those 3 big games will sell even more people on psvr2...
Hl alyx needs to happen. I remember valve saying they would have ported it on psvr 1 as they want more people to play it but it just wasn't possible. Now it is. Fingers crossed it happens.
alyx is over rated average experience. It feels dated today. I have it on steam VR. The hype is from HL fans rather than people who love good VR games. keep that in mind.
Thank you for bringing this up. I’d love to see more about VR content from you and Gameranx channel as I feel guys these channels can really could help with organic growth. Your honest reviews and healthy criticisms is what the industry needed.
As someone who owns a basic set of wheel and pedals and has had a sim racing phase…. Holy hell i just got excited about GT7. Never played it but it sounds incredible, thanks Jake!!
As always, awesome video and great recommendations! I've been hooked on GT7 in VR (so much that I picked up a racing wheel lol). Really looking forward to Switchback VR in a few weeks. Huge light gun game fan, so I'll definitely check out Pistol Whip too.
The games that I keep coming back to are Horizon, GT7, RE Village, and Pavlov. Such a good launch lineup. There are a few I want to put more time into like The Light Brigade and Swordsman. And next month Saints & Sinners and Switchback come out. Where am I going to find the time to play all of these games?!
I think Village has impressed me most- like you said it gives amazing presence. Way more suspenseful the dark scenes feel surreal. Other games had small compromises (even gt7 has some pop in if you look for it) but Village just impressed with that complete immersion and no compromises. Love it but too scared to play LoL
Yes village is definitely the best psvr2 game right now. Just for the fact that they made it scary. I enjoyed the flat screen version but I was dissapointed that they actually listened to people who complained 7 was too scary. Honestly I think if sony convinces more devs to make a vr port for their games psvr 2 will be pretty successful in the future.
If you haven't already done this - I'd recommend switching to auto-reloading. This way there's less to think about when you're in a scary bit which makes the scary bits much easier! Lol. It's defo my favourite VR2 game so far 👌
@@royrogers495 Why Auto-Reload That's Just Gonna Ruin VR And the Immersion that's why VR Is the Future of Gaming because it's so Realistic and Immersive.
@@VR_AR_MR_XR_Enthusiast I think I explained my point perfectly already. This person is scared to play the game, and reloading is fiddly for someone new to VR and can make the scary moments overwhelming and panic. When they're more confident, they can go back to manual reload. Or they can play Pavlov if gun realism is their thing - without the scary stuff making them panic and feel over-whelmed.
I only tried vr in a friend house back in 2014 never try it again after, I was mind blowing with the PS vr 2 ! Being able to be in the game changed the gaming experience for me every gamer should try it it's a new way to play games .
I would also recommend "Song In The Smoke", already liked the PSVR1 version except for the controls and the Quest version except for the graphics but they now really made the definitive version of this survival adventure game on PSVR2.
Swordsman is so much fun. My friends are big cod fans and I got them to try this, and they loved it! We barely played anything else. Zombieland is a great arcade game. No man's sky is gorgeous and so is GT. My kid loves the job simulator and the boat one is sick to. That's just me but all of these VR games are so awesome
The PSVR 2 was my first headset, I've always been super interested but wanted a high end experience and PCVR was always a bit out of my price range. So with this headset it was finally in a place I could jump in, though I had some issues getting the IPD (finding the sweet spot was pretty tough for me) and lighting in my room right, once I did it's been phenomenal. I'm really loving it. So far I'm just playing Horizon and RE 8, and they've been awesome! I feel RE 8 is really made a lot better, and scarier through VR. Especially with the active reloads in combat, and how you have to physically use a key in places (without the game pausing like in the original version). Some things I didn't find scary before were here once it was at scale and standing right in front of me. Despite beating it several times before this and knowing what was ahead, I was still scared turning corners. It's great. I'm debating picking something else in the VR launch lineup up once I finish these, but with RE 4 Remake and Saints & Sinners CH 1 and 2 around the corner it's probably just best to wait. I'm planning to jump into Cinematic mode for RE 4 Remake to see how that is. I think the PSVR 2 has a lot of potential games wise, hoping to see more ports soon. Half Life Alyx is obviously the biggest, but a lot of PCVR games that I'd like to see. Plus I thought most of what was shown in the most recent State of Play looked really cool. Of those Synapse was a PSVR 2 exclusive. Plus the RE 4 Remake getting a VR mode is exclusive to PSVR 2, so I think Sony's been making a good push on that end. They own Firesprite, so hopefully their next game will feel less like an intro to vr thing and go a bit harder. I think we'll probably see more hybrid stuff from their first party studios (like GT 7 but hopefully more will use the orb controllers), along with incentivizing 3rd party devs to do hybrid titles (like Capcom and RE) and more PCVR/Quest ports. With all that Sony will come through with strong support for PSVR 2. I'm hoping VR will be a bigger deal this generation. Very excited for RE 4 Remake's VR, Behemoth, Vertigo 2 (if it gets PSVR 2 support), Foglands, S&S, and so much more. It feel like VR games are taking a big step forward this generation.
@@scottd7222 The sense controllers for PSVR 2. I just call them the orbs since they've got that stylish circle. I feel their regular name is a bit to close to the dualsense
I started with the PSVR1 back 2018 for basically the same reasons you got the PSVR2 - I didn't have a high-end PC to do VR gaming, but I wanted to try VR. I had the console (PS4 in this case, obviously) and was curious. Hope you really enjoy the VR journey and the experiences it brings. And be glad you don't have to use the wretched Move controllers for VR like I did. :) Cheers!
Had a couple VR headsets before this one, never got serious nausea. REVII and NMS had nothing on me. Then came Horizon. It wasn't any one thing. I had one good hour of climbing, shooting, and sprinting about. Took off the headset, went full Willem Dafoe "Oh", and bolted for the bathroom. Played a ton of GT7 since, fallen in love with the PSVR2, and still haven't touched Horizon again.
Thanks for the VR love, Jake. I know it's a niche topic, but I appreciate people that are willing to cover it. I'm loving my PS VR2. The issue I'm having right now is that I have too many games to play. The criticism I keep hearing is that there are a lot of ports, but I feel like this is a similar situation to Nintendo porting a lot of their Wii U games to Switch because not a lot of people got to play them since they didn't own a Wii U. For me, I'm happy that a good amount of the games I have on the PS VR1 might go from good to great. I really liked Creed, but that PS VR1 tracking was rough. Fingers crossed the Championship Edition remedies those issues.
Just discovered your channel through this. Really nice video, I hope you consider more psvr2 content! I can see some recommendations in the comments, but since you mentioned Tetris, Jake you absolutely must try Rez. Enable eye tracking gameplay, it’s magical really.
Thanks Jake! Bought my psvr2 over the weekend specifically for gt7 racing and hopefully for other racing titles that might support it. Trying it for the first time in many years there is definitely a massive bump up in clarity. The first time trying it and playing horizon was a massive holy sh*t moment. Just scale of everything and how amazing it looked will stay with me forever. Looking forward to trying it with resident evil later today! Have a great one!
I'm loving my psvr2, got psvr 1 on launch but didn't play it much due to the whole setup and it messing with my oled hdr TV. But this is now truly amazing
Thanks for your takes on the current PSVR2 games. You have a sensible and honest approach to your reviews, and this was a fun watch. I think you touched on a very key element: "First time" This platform may be a lot player's first VR system. The current library has a lot of solid, existing titles that offer a good variety for new VR gamers. To all those coming to VR for the first time via the PSVR2: Welcome!
Happy to be on Board. Got Pistol Whip, Pavlov and I Own no man's sky. I honestly bought it for GT7 but tried the Star Wars demo and that was fun. Got pretty sick with Call of the Mountain but I bought some Sea Bands wrist bands because of a friend's recommendation and they helped me a ton with motion sickness. They are like 7 bucks on Amazon. I'm blown away that I have a plug and play VR in my home! How far we have come!
First week with my PSVR2, and I'm absolutely loving it. I've finished Horizon COTM and Rez Infinite. Also played a signifcant amount of Kayak VR, Thumper, Tetris Effect, GT7, RE: Village Demo and finally Pistol Whip. My god, I was sweating my ass off after 15 mins. Goes to show how unfit I am :P Thumper and Rez are my favs, Horizon COTM is excellenet and I actually love the climbing. Pistol Whip is becoming a fav tho, in short bursts.
Hey Jake! Just subscribed and want to leave a like and a comment to let you know that we’d love to see more VR content! I absolutely love my PSVR2 and I want to see it thrive so we see more devs bring high quality content to the platform. I think videos like this definitely help promote the PSVR2 and I want to see that continue. :)
Nick Offerman is the voice of the protagonist in Horizon. He also recently played Bill in episode 3 of the Last of Us. You may also know him more as Ron Swanson in Parks & Recreation if you watched it. Thanks for the recommendations, man. i hope most can be played seated, i am in a wheelchair so i have to, but i have been enjoying my time with Horizon so far. I do find blurring an issue sometimes & the space cage they give in seated was a little smaller than i would have liked, but i adjust. Will check out GT7 next, probably as i already own it.
Thanks man I always love your reviews! I’ve been loving my PSVR 2 and can’t wait for more games to come out! I’ve been playing No Man’s Sky and I think they need to update it more, the visuals look very similar to the original PSVR. But other than that it’s an amazing game for vr!
Sucks about NMS. That's what I've been hearing (don't have a psvr2 yet). I've been waiting to jump into that game fully hoping they can get VR looking good. I was hoping this was it. I have a PCVR setup that plays everything as high as it will go and everything just looks blurry in the distance. Kinda kills the whole immersion thing when you're constantly surrounded by blurriness :/ Guess I will keep waiting
Great content as always. I have not been sold on PS5 yet having a high-end PC I already invested so much into. This PSVR2 just looks like good old-fashioned fun though.
I spent $5000 on my pc and i dont even game on it. Good thing i atleast use it for torrenting and movies. Its so meh just having a little better graphics and frames but you have to fiddle with settings so much and wait for updates to get it. If you love most game genres there is way to many exclusives on playstation to not have one. Buying ps5 was the best gaming decision ive ever made. Now psvr2 just made it even better.
I just ordered a PSVR2 because Resident Evil 8 and 4 remake are getting a VR mode and I CAN NOT WAIT!!! I hear "What the bat?" is great to show newcomers to VR. Also I got a free upgrade to "Job Simulator" because I owned the PSVR and bought that digitally. I'm really hoping we see more VR modes added to existing games like Red Dead and Last of Us! Could you imagine a last of us VR MODE?!?!
I ordered my PSVR2 today. I want to try SW and Call of the Mountain first. Have you tried the drummer game yet? Not sure of the name or if its worth it
Loved your content on PSVR2 today! VR is such a breath of fresh air for me, I’m loving this tech so much, enjoying every minute of it! Excited about the future of VR gaming! Cheers mate!
Oh, I fully appreciate you making this episode about VR! I have the new PSVR2 after playing with the original PS VR. And I have all of these major releases, except for the pistol one you were speaking of. what open my eyes to VR was the game Firewall!!!!! and I cannot wait for firewall ultra!!!
I tried the original PSVR and I really liked it on paper, but using the Playstation Move controllers just made a lot of games not work well... Alongside the PS4 not being as capable. But with the actual VR controllers for PSVR2 and the specs of the PS5, this might be the next VR headset I pick up. I've been using the Quest 2 all this time just because it's wireless and I don't have a lot of space in my room. Also I LOVE Pistol Whip, such a cool rhythm/shooter mix.
I've got to say, the best VR game i've played has got to be Resident Evil 4 VR there's just just something so magical about actually being in Leon Mr. Scott Kennedy's shoes and i can't wait to get my hands on the remake :)
You nailed it with gt7. Had to buy it when I scored my Ps5 with a bundle. Played for an hour then never put the disk in. Since Vr2 and a Logitech wheel I’ve sunk hours and want to have anyone I can think of get behind the virtual wheel
Thanks for your insights into this technology and its advancements, Jake. For me, VR is still yet to get to that point where I think to myself "oh, I'd totally play this VR title over a normal videogame", the closest it got was Boneworks. I think the advancements that continually happen in regular gaming means that VR might always be a step behind in terms of accessibility and innovation over regular gaming, since those regular experiences keep getting bigger and more creative (sort of).
Been enjoying horizon in VR. I did turn in auto load in accessibility when basically turns your bow in to a quick fire machine gun 🤣 I couldn't be arsed with reaching over my back all the time but the climbing is solid and that thunderjaw battle was fun ❤️

I got a 500AUD ebgames voucher from the company I work for (15 years anniversary) so I payed only 350AUD for PSVR2 (it is around 850AUD in australia). This is my first VR ever and I must say that I’ve never experienced something SO FUN in my whole life. I only have Kayak VR and Pavlov. playing Pavlov online specially in the “among us” mode is so fun and hilarious that I lose track of time. The only concern I have is that I saw people saying that the batteries would last around 6h. Honestly, if I play for around 2h the batteries is almost close to flat (around 20%). Not sure if my controllers came with batteries issues….anyway, 2h is enough for me to play and then take a break while it charges
Have you ever tried Sairento VR? It's an amazing arcade ninja game where you're given a bunch of weapons, and tools. You can slow down time using chipsets like Superhot, climb walls, wall run, deflect bullets, and do backfills. You might get sick because it's very high in movement.
Nice video! Had psvr2 for about a week now and it have been a blast, dont want to go back to normal gaming. I also hope half life comes to psvr2 would been epic
I love it. I thought the Meta Quest 2 was fun but this headset actually blew me away with certain titles. Thumper and Rez are also crazy on this thing.
There is a cheap driving stand in ebay for 16 pounds. You put the controller into a small wheel shape, connect to the stand and you are good to go with motion sensor. It really does feel like a wheel when in game. It's only plastic, but I have over 20 hours using it without problems so far. Would prefer a proper wheel set up, but health means I can't use pedals.
@@twatinahatsmith7428 yea that's a perfect option then for sure.If you do buy a wheel get one with dual paddle shifters. Usually you can remap gas and break to left and right paddle just an idea but the motion steering is great either way
@scottd7222 Thanks for reply. I have been posting in other places, asking if I could use just a wheel, as of course it would be a lot better with something more tangible as a proper steering wheel. I have seen in GT7 controller options that you can remap the buttons but wasn't sure if I could do it with just the wheel.
Burrowed a wheel from one of my nephews. Asked around family and when he heard I had PSVR2, he offered to come up and set it up for me. Took him a couple of minutes set it up and it took me 2 hours to get him off of it. Have been trying it out and it is certainly a better experience, although I at times keep forgetting to steer fully as not really had to before. So I need to practice again and get into the routine. Not sure if I will buy this one though. It's a Hori apex, no haptic feedback, but I like it as it is quite a small size. He said he is going to get the headset.
Also, I can't wait until they manage to really integrate flight sims into VR. Just like GT7, it could be huge. Pilots train on sims a ton. It is great.
There are already sims on pcvr. Honestly I'm waiting for an ace combat vr game. I've seen a guy who struggled for 30 min just yo start the engine in a sim and I'm not really into that.
I'm so interested in VR but the price of entry seems so high for not enough exciting looking games but I enjoyed hearing you fan boy out. I'm a step closer to possibly getting a headset now (even if I'm still unsure)
You have to try it If you can. It is a completely different experience when you are Actually Standing in the Game instead of Just looking at it on a Screen.
I bought Call of the Mountain, the kayak one and What the Bat, on top of already owning GT7 and Village. Haven't started much of it yet, but GT7 and Village are awesome and Call of the Mountain seems cool so far. I also get no motion sickness at all, regardless of the settings.
I hope there would be more games that take advantage of the eye tracking feature. Like Rez Infinite using the eye tracker to lock-on enemies. Horizon using the eye tracker as a cursor. I like the creativity put in with the eye tracker usage.
I bought the PSVR2.. Preordered with HCotM, I played Horizon for 25 minutes, and I've spend the rest of my time in VR with Resident Evil Village, It is really THAT good. It made me want to go back and play Resident Evil 4 in VR on my Quest.
Bro i feel you about the motion sickness, sometimes i just power through, but yea man also with that holding your breath when something intense or etc is happening, idk why its stupid i have to remind myself to breathe lmao
The vr2 is amazing, truly amazing. It's one of those things that you have to experience, because seeing it in 2d just is not the same when it comes to scale and depth. My only real negative is there really is a difference between games that are completely designed for the vr2 and any other game. Whether it be a game designed to be 2d or a game designed for the oculus. Those games look awesome on the vr2, but Horizon which is designed specifically for the vr2, is just another level above the rest. Though, I'm spending most of my time right now in RE8 and GT7.
I remember pulling out the lens of a Watch and being shocked at how big it was. Also I was baffled to see how short Aloy is. Can’t believe she was carrying 30 of them XD
GT7 in VR is just wow. I have that same giddy feeling like when I first played Daytona in the 90s, wow... Gonna get RE Village next and getting ready with a bag of fresh pants.. LOL. Can't wait.
It all sounds so great but I can't play VR without getting violently sick. Crazy rollercoasters, no problem but a few minutes in VR and I get motion sick like I've never experienced before. I tried Half-Life on my friend's Index and I had to stop after less than 5 minutes, which was such a shame, I'd really like to experience that game.
first thing i did when I got my VR2 was get in the sim rig and launch GT7... Mind exploded when I walked around a car that i customized. It was amazing how realistic they look.

Woah! That’s awesome
lol how is this possible
As a first time.vr user.. I hope psvr 2 gets lots of love and vr in general.. playing village in vr was one of the best gaming experience I've ever had
Facts
Played 3 hours of RE: Village yesterday. Amazing how much more inmersive and fun it is with VR. The way you now interact with your weapons is very cool. Graphics looks amazing. I can't wait to play more after work!
I was suprised to be more in awe than scared.
It really is a special game. Ended up on top of my entertainment system
If other series figured it out like this, I'd own all the VRs
dude you have eyes of steel, 3 hours of vr in one sitting?
When I tried the Kayak VR jungle area at night my eyes had to adjust to how incredibly dark it was. Unbelievable how detailed night environments look even in pitch black.😮
For the life of me I can’t figure out why Sony doesn’t push Astro Bot more, especially on VR. It’d be such a great mascot to hook people into the tech.
Yes,playstation has been great and all,but they don't have a mascot anymore. They need to make an astrobot game that's flat screen and vr.
I love Vr! It is by far my favorite way to play games now. Being in the game is so much more immersive. RE VILLAGE Is insane. Everyone has to experience it
yep agree totally
Just finished Re Village in VR. The best gaming experience I've ever had. Heisenberg's factory scared the shit out of me
I had absolutely no intention of buying GT7 until the VR update.
@@AviatrixWarrior...... Haha, I definitely bought more than I intended to for sure.
Don't sleep on motion steering with dualsense. I have a wheel but trust me motion steering is legit.
Pc vr will always be shit. Sony will be dropping tons of exclusives which will kill it. The next gen of psvr is going to be nuts.
@@joeydirt420 what a weird troll like response to someone who was very positive about PSVR2 and VR as a whole. Weird.
@@paulatredies9242 some people man lol
Yeah,I only.played sitting at first and now I have no problem,I don't even use snap turn anymore.
@@jamiereinig thanks so much! Yeah im def not pushing through cause its a recipe for disaster.
@@stefandinu6389 yeah same hear. Did accidentally role the camera view on yesterday when I wasn’t ready. And I certainly felt that. 😂
Hey Jake! If you’re still wanting to check out another VR game, try The Light Brigade. It’s basically a WWII roguelike shooter with different classes to upgrade and a bunch of spell wands or accessories you find to aid you on a run. Been having a blast with it.
sounds right up my alley
Its very good.
This is the one I was coming to comment on. It’s a lot of fun and the developer is super active on discord and Reddit.
This is my first VR experience and it is great. You’re right on point with GT7 if you’re a gear head with a racing wheel then VR is a must.
Hearing Jake say "She was literal shorty" made my day 😂
For someone who loves the Horizon series this is a dream come true to have "call of the mountain" as a launch title.
@@royrogers495 why ruin vr like that. Reloading the gun yourself is half the fun.
I only tried vr in a friend house back in 2014 never try it again after,
I was mind blowing with the PS vr 2 !
Being able to be in the game changed the gaming experience for me
every gamer should try it it's a new way to play games .
Pavlov VR, No Mans Sky(especially when you’re on your ship), and Drums Rock are also up there for me!
I really hope they update Blood and Truth for the PSVR2. I would love to play through it again on the PSVR2
Yes that game was awesome
Jake, you just sold me on VR2 with the Tetris bit. I’ve played a lot games but Tetris will always be in the top 5 all time
The PSVR 2 was my first headset, I've always been super interested but wanted a high end experience and PCVR was always a bit out of my price range.
It feel like VR games are taking a big step forward this generation.
orb controllers?
THIS IS NOT A DRILL. JAKE JUST POSTED.
That is very nice. Thank you
Just discovered your channel through this. Really nice video, I hope you consider more psvr2 content! I can see some recommendations in the comments, but since you mentioned Tetris, Jake you absolutely must try Rez. Enable eye tracking gameplay, it’s magical really.
Thanks, will do! Glad you found me
Thanks Jake!
I think you touched on a very key element: "First time"
This platform may be a lot player's first VR system.
Goes to show how unfit I am :P
Thumper and Rez are my favs, Horizon COTM is excellenet and I actually love the climbing. Pistol Whip is becoming a fav tho, in short bursts.

Huge VR fan, so happy to see you do this side video about it. I can’t stop playing my VR2, GT7 is something else man
Nick Offerman is the voice of the protagonist in Horizon.
Though Im not much into vr these days, you really make these vids very enjoyable nonetheless. Thanks for the great work!

Nothing better then gt7. I'm not even a sim racing player. I can't stop playing it. And now have a love and appreciate for it. Amazing.
So youre not a sim racer but youre saying gt7 is the best?
Well i am a sim racer & GT7 is not the best

Also I got a free upgrade to "Job Simulator" because I owned the PSVR and bought that digitally. I'm really hoping we see more VR modes added to existing games like Red Dead and Last of Us! Could you imagine a last of us VR MODE?!?!
@7:04 when you accidentally waste that straight piece, then visibly shake your head in frustration, I felt that.

I had the remake preordered on PC, but cancelled it and will get on PS5 since they are adding VR. No brainer!

You nailed it with gt7.
Had to buy it when I scored my Ps5 with a bundle.

Since Vr2 and a Logitech wheel I’ve sunk hours and want to have anyone I can think of get behind the virtual wheel
I'm loving PSVR2. Glad you like it too, Mr.Baldino!
Auto load and mapping dodge/strafe to the right thumb stick is a must

Hey Jake great video! I'm really excited for PSVR2! Unfortunately here in New Zealand it's well over $1000, so hopefully someday.
Pistol Whip has been the surprise game keeping me busy, absolutely love it!
Thanks Jake! Nice to know there's some fellow vr heads out there 🫡
For the people who don't have a steering wheel for GT7 VR go with the motion steering option. It's so good and the next best thing to a wheel.
Best explanation of Pistolwhip. I finally want to try it. Thank you.
My friend purchased a PSVR2 and he loves it! I am so torn! Looks super fun
Preordered with HCotM, I played Horizon for 25 minutes, and I've spend the rest of my time in VR with Resident Evil Village,
It is really THAT good.
It made me want to go back and play Resident Evil 4 in VR on my Quest.
Naw, I wasn't expecting him to sound THAT much like Cage. Laughing so hard at that.
I am still in No Man Sky. Cant get enough of driving any type of vehicle in that game
We need Ace Combat 7 vr ported to PSVR2. Especially since it just got added to Ps Plus
Awesome glad to hear you talk about vr, i opted to turn off the dark edges when i move in Resident Evil village, i can recommend it :)
Yes,if you have a bit of vr experience you should turn it off. The fov isn't as big as the flat screen version and you can miss stuff.
@@stefandinu6389 I never tried vr before psvr2 but have been gaming for years, I just dislike those black borders and at least with the psvr2 I have no motion sickness at all.
Village and Rez Infinite have been mind blowing as first experiences
I'm all for more VR content
Really hoping for more VR content in the future!
Noted!
Ok dirt rally needs to be on the vr2, even playing that game with rhe haptics on my ps5 controllers was amazing.
