I think the question 3s bundle is a good deal, most VR games are much cheaper than AAA games. It’s a bit easier to try out new multiplayer experiences with the boys even if they don’t always pan out when you only paid like $20 or less…. If anybody is looking for multiplayer VR vibes, Contractors Showdown is pretty awesome on Meta. Personally, I’m more a fan of having a wireless headset as it really allows for that extra immersion!

I was always curious about VR but the price was always a sticking point especially after never trying VR ever 😳 but when I seen the meta quest 3s for £290 and a £40 game packed in, I thought now is the time and tbh it’s fricking AWESOME……best money I’ve spent in a long time.
"Is VR Back?" It never left baby you just did. welcome back😂 Batman really nailed the feel of the Arkham series of combat. The side notifications of incoming attacks really let you take your time with combos while parrying everything and makes you feel unstoppable Also to any people looking to dip their toes in VR, I recommend getting a quest 3. Wireless wins over all and you can easily link to your PC for even more powerful VR experiences. not only that but the quest 3 already has asgard's wrath 2, assassin's creed nexus, batman, and will be getting a full metro game as well as alien game before end of year. That doesn't even mention the countless fun games that are already out there. The fact these experiences rarely cost you more than $30-40 bucks to enjoy makes it more than worth it IMO
I wish I could play VR but man I get so sick even without a few minutes I feel so dizzy and start sweating 😂 but I’m glad the game is good. I really hope that The Last Ronin game will be a dark, brutal and moody game like the Arkham series!
I love flat screen and VR. I wouldn't trade one for the other but since getting my PSVR2 about 10 months ago I'd say I play 80% VR and 20% flat screen. With the PSVR1 it was probably 5% VR and 95% flat screen. That is how much better the PSVR2 is in comparison, night and day. I'm a huge Batman fan but I don't have a quest so I'm hoping down the road it will make it to the PSVR2. I'm considering PC VR but that is solely so I could play modded VR games like Cyberpunk 2077. As far as motion sickness I was a fisherman for years and never experienced it at all in VR. I feel sorry for anyone who does because a good VR game is such a wonderful experience. I would suggest trying to get those VR legs, as once you do my friend it is amazing! I'd say try a game like Moss to start with if you have issues with nausea. I have a friend who loves VR but to this day he can't play games with motion for fear of sickness, somehow powerwash simulator still got him hooked. LOL Thank you to all of the VR developers out there!

It's really good, but yes it would be great with a PC or PSVR2 version, hopefully in the future they can open it up. You shouldn't buy a system for one game for sure, but there are a LOT of good games on quest. If you have a half decent PC, a £200 3s (take out the cost of Batman and six months quest+ sub you get with it) and it's a no brainer. I've seen how much you all spend on weird mice and fans with lights 😘 Batman, Metro, Behemoth, Alien, Arken Age, the best games of the rest of the year are all VR 🤟
@@jgontko23 I get you, but after a year or so? Rift store special edition? To possibly coincide with the Quest 4, or the launch of their cloud streaming service. PC grade titles streamed to older quests. I agree that PSVR2 version is unlikely
Genuinely depressing we get a sequel to Arkham origins finally and it's a VR exclusive game. I wish it was like RE4R where it can be played either way.
I reckon 100% this is a timed exclusive. It's been received far too well to not have them working on a PC version. I reckon Meta funded/paid out the wazoo for it to be built ground uo for thr Quest 3, which would explain why it'd probably take time to upgrade it further for PC hardware. Meta with their OS being available for all headsets makes me believe they'd allow this to come to more platforms, eventually. Insane it's a free game with the headset purchase. Such a better introduction than AW2. It was a good game, but it was so damn empty, and was too big of a game for entry level VR consumers. Hope this really pushes the bar for the next releases. So excited for Metro VR.
Camoflaj who developed this game are a Meta 1st party studio. Meta has not ported any of their standalone 1st party games to PC. Not one. Also Warner Bros signed a contract to make it a permanently exclusive to Quest. The whole point of this game being an exclusive was to sell Quest headsets. Making the game available on other platforms would completely defeat that objective. There's zero evidence of the game being ported, it's just the wishful thinking of people who don't want to buy a Quest but are still demanding Meta port a game they have no intention of porting.
Been playing on quest 2 with half res to keep stable frames, still looks good, better than most quest 2 games bar red matter even at 1024p. You get about 50 mins of gameplay before it crashes and you just reload your save and keep going. Im currently about half way maybe 6 hours in and pretty impressed. Havent had any stutter or frame drops its really smooth.
I have the Samsung Odyssey Plus, valve index, and quest 2. I'll be damned if I'm buying another headset to play Batman unfortunately. I'll just have to find a workaround to play this on the index
I am jealous! Glad you're having fun. Seems like it really makes you feel like Batman! I liked Origins except for getting a grade thrown in my face after every fight... There should be a way to turn all that crap off.
Would like to hear your thoughts on EA's tactics on Dragon Age release specifically around the information about targeting specific review channels to obtain high pre release reviews and what the impacts and implications could be from your pov.
I love this game.. but am I the only one who still thinks vr has a way to go with immersion.. it always feels like I’m wearing goggles and the scale of the world is always ever so slightly off in most games… that said it’s such a fun experience with Batman. Deffo worth a play for those who have the means
Great video as always. Hopefully this will bring life back into some batman games or arkham-verse. If WB needs to recoup more losses from their last 2 failed games they could TOTALLY port Arkham Origins to modern consoles. I'd buy that on day one at full price.
This is my first 10/10 in maybe 3 years. I'm blown away by it. The combat is so good I reload the checkpoints just to fight again. Haven't done that in a game in so long. And if you're a Arkham fan, you're literally stupid for not playing this or planning to play it later.
@@YoBrand15 how far in are you? The more combo you get, the more xp, same with variation, so I try and do it all taking no hits and using as many gadgets as possible.
@@YoBrand15I'm having kind of the opposite problem. Maybe I'm not used to the combat yet? I just can't get the direction of the hits. At least the game keeps telling me wrong direction and I feel stupid because the rest of it is fun lol
@huliniswhoiam for me sometimes the requirements to hit are so light... so if you have a hit to the right, when you go to set up for it sometimes it registers as left lol.
Just started playing. I feel like it still has some bugs. A lot of times during combat, it doesn’t give me the hand target thing so I end up standing there getting shot and can’t attack
I bought this game on launch. Played it for an hour and refunded it. Mostly because it $50 and I thought I might’ve missed it releasing on PCVR. This game could absolutely benefit from more power. If a high fidelity version of this game is released that uses PC or PSVR2 or something it would be life changing. That said - this game is something special. I bought it again and it really opens up about 2 hours in - there is some really cool/clever stuff going on here, and the more you play the more it feels like a full fledged Arkham game in VR. There is some stuff I hate - the story though is genuinely phenomenal. Batman detective mode is very sweet in VR. I miss the Joker, but the rest of it can be applauded. Once a Quest 5 Pro or something exists in the world games like this will clear bars for flatscreen.
My only issue with it so far is even on hard difficulty the combat is way too easy. Maybe later in the game it gets harder, but its so easy to dodge or counter. Wish they had made it a bit more difficult. And more variety in how you have to counter. Also enemies give you a break too much. They need to attack much quicker. Idk its still fun/addicting I just dont feel challenged.
@RussBlake80 yeah i haven't taken much damage so far lol. Its really fun but man it's just a bit too easy. would have liked an experienced combat option or something to make timing and power a bit more important or something. Everyone is so slow when attacking imo
The Devs said that they will make it harder because they feel it’s to easy as well. Ryan Darcey specifically spoke about making the counter window a lot smaller on hard mode. They will be supporting this game for the rest of the year making DLC like, challenge maps and updates.
@Zypemaytro oh I didn't know that. I was kind of sad there isn't much replay value on the campaign for me. Because my first playthrough is on hard. But once they up the difficulty I can play it again. So that's awesome.
@@YoBrand15They also spoke about adding a ledge takedown in stealth. They spoke about all of this on Gotham Paladins live stream interview they did today and were extremely open about talking about the game and what they want to add. It’s long but a very fascinating interview.
Just started this week, but only spent an hour or two so far. What I want to hear about is the Alan Wake 2 DLCs, I finished both of them this week and thought they were fantastic! Really enjoyed some of the humor in the Night Springs episodes.
Boooo, I love it when exclusive games manage to seem good enough to justify buying the platform. It's exciting! VR kind of feels more next gen then current gen consoles in some ways, but I can only play for like 30mins at a time because it gets a bit much. Look forward to trying Batman, thanks for your impressions, sounds like it's pretty sick!

I was always curious about VR but the price was always a sticking point especially after never trying VR ever 😳 but when I seen the meta quest 3s for £290 and a £40 game packed in, I thought now is the time and tbh it’s fricking AWESOME……best money I’ve spent in a long time.
"Is VR Back?" It never left baby you just did. welcome back😂
Batman really nailed the feel of the Arkham series of combat. The side notifications of incoming attacks really let you take your time with combos while parrying everything and makes you feel unstoppable
Also to any people looking to dip their toes in VR, I recommend getting a quest 3.
It’s so good I was playing another VR game and kept tapping my head to go in Detective Mode
I wish I could play VR but man I get so sick even without a few minutes I feel so dizzy and start sweating 😂 but I’m glad the game is good. I really hope that The Last Ronin game will be a dark, brutal and moody game like the Arkham series!
I hope these developers make another Iron Man vr game
My only complaint is that I'm not in solid enough shape to play for as long as I'd like 😂
Thanks for covering this one
LOL Thank you to all of the VR developers out there!
quest 2 user read that i have it on quest 2 and its work perfectly [VR Meta Quest2/Quest3/3S] Batman Arkham Shadow (v1.0.1.350435) (NIF) (compatible firmware v51+) amazing game i play 1 hour at this point!
It's financed and developed by a Meta own studio... without Meta it wouldn't exist so I don't think they will open up their system seller software.
@@jgontko23 I get you, but after a year or so? Rift store special edition? To possibly coincide with the Quest 4, or the launch of their cloud streaming service. PC grade titles streamed to older quests. I agree that PSVR2 version is unlikely
All this recent batman talk got me missing the big three. Picked up the physical copies today to play them again
Your sound effects are fire 😂
The situation is similar to AW2. Meta owns the studio and uses it to attract gamers to their hardware
How did you tweak the res? Was it through QGO? Is there a free alternative to adjust game settings?
@@yandrosyoutube side quest can drop resolution but it can't unlock the processor to maximimum.
I have the Samsung Odyssey Plus, valve index, and quest 2. I'll be damned if I'm buying another headset to play Batman unfortunately. I'll just have to find a workaround to play this on the index
Now I want to buy quest 3 or 3s just for this game. Saw a budle in my local shop for 350 eurs with game
Apparently you're not the only one. It's outselling all game consoles on amazon US lol
@@robarmstrong5404 good to know will need to grab it while I can
Flying to that plane as iron man was awesome
Playing through this game now and loving it. Def smart to pack it in with the meta quest 3
Absolute Batman may be my favorite Batman if it keeps going in the direction it started lol
Hoping you do a story video on this game. I'd love to hear about it but I just don't have a VR set yet
This is my first 10/10 in maybe 3 years. I'm blown away by it. The combat is so good I reload the checkpoints just to fight again. Haven't done that in a game in so long. And if you're a Arkham fan, you're literally stupid for not playing this or planning to play it later.
Do you do anything to make combat more difficult for yourself? I'm on hard difficulty and it's just way too easy so far.
@@YoBrand15 how far in are you? The more combo you get, the more xp, same with variation, so I try and do it all taking no hits and using as many gadgets as possible.
@@YoBrand15The devs have said that they think it’s to easy and will make it harder. Like making the counter window a lot smaller.
Absolute batman #1 was cool indeed! Really enjoying DC comics right now
I’m so glad that it’s on meta and not a PS exclusive
Just started playing. I feel like it still has some bugs. A lot of times during combat, it doesn’t give me the hand target thing so I end up standing there getting shot and can’t attack
Arkham & Assassins Creed is 2. It needs a lot more though. I hope Quest 4 can match PS4 graphics as well......
Only commenting because Absolute Batman was sooooooo good. I am dying for issue 2
I am loving it. I do think you should buy it for this game. But that is because there is tons of fun games to play on it.
I googled "fun" and this does seem like an enjoyable concept 😂
I can only play this game for 20 mins at a time but I'm trying. It's awesome
The combat doesn't change, the amount of damage you are able to take reduces.
Have you seen Venom the last dance
If only it wasn't quest 3 exclusive
Hey Jake! What's your go-to PC VR setup?
Yay!! Jake is back 😊
Absolute Batman is a banger
I wish I had a PSVR2 so I could play No Man's Sky and get lost in that univers, I kid you not.
Absolute Batman was pretty good!! I can't wait to see what's next! Although personally, I'm more hyped for Absolute Superman
Do you think you'll read absolute Wonder woman? I've enjoyed both issues a lot
Just bought it about to play tonight!
Honestly, I was also skeptical about it and was about to jump in ASAP but now I'm super hyped. Been playing Metro Awakening but now I just want to drop that gane and put on a suit😂❤
Vr will never be that big so long as people like me have problems with headaches after 10 minutes of use.
I have a PSVR2 and the adapter for my PC. I hope it releases on either platform someday because I am not about to buy a Meta Quest 3 for one damn game!
Dream it! You should know that this game is exclusively produced by Meta company
Glad to hear you’re digging the game Jake, how are your muscles feeling after the combat? My arms were aching so bad and it was great!
I love that Tishirt and that game❤❤
