Shits crazy this 1000hp hell cat is trapping 148-149mph in the 1/4 at 4500lbs. The Hennessy 1000hp zo6 traps the same 148-149mph and it's like 900-1000lbs lighter and a 2 seater. These things are impressive , I will own one.

terror bite I did. It ran 138@10.1 139@9.9 148@9.79 and a 139.95@9.79. The strips time display had an error. Based on the launch on the 148mph trap (which was the hardest) there’s no way he runs the same time at 10 mph quicker. The displays aren’t perfect. The paper slip would have read 10mph slower exactly. To run 9.79 @148 his launch had to suffer noticeably. Dude was hooking all night. Display error...
Hey is that 1000 hp rear wheel? Very impressive time slip I must say. What type of upper pulley are you running? I just bought a hellcat and have a 2.8 upper pulley on E 85 and I’m wondering what kind of quarter-mile time I can get making 870 rear wheel horsepower. I guess that would equal 1000 fly wheel horsepower. Any thoughts on a quarter-mile time?

I think taking out the 8 speed and installing a beefed-up older 5 speed transmission it would actually run a quicker time. **Less time spent shifting between gears.**
These ZF90's shift a mere 50 milliseconds slower than a Nismo GTR transmission. No 5 speed on the planet is going to keep up with the ZF. They're rated to hold 1000ft/lb tq as well so there's no need to beef up anything (yet). The rear end though, that's another story, hence the upcoming dodge demon getting a much stronger axle set/diff/driveshaft
@FastRed All I'm saying is that quickest drag cars use Lenco 5 auto speed trans. (Not talking about top fuel, those have a single gear and use clutch plates). Most 6 and 7 second 1/4 mile cars use 2, 3, and 4 speed auto transmissions. More time in the each gear. Less time shifting. The 8 speed is great but it's really made for gas mileage.
FastRedPonyCar Just so you know the only modern mopar to run a 6 second 1/4 mile is Rob Goss Challenger. He runs a 6.9 at over 200mph with a power glide trans. (only 2 gears)
Video started out slow...10.19@138mph...was like...1,000hp..that's not hooking up to well since stock HC charger with DRs did 10.7@127mph.
@1:46 was the when he actually stepped on it 9.79@148.5mph..surprised he didn't et quicker when the sun went down even though he did pick up 1.5mph.
JerseyMikeP MPH was actually 140! 148 was an error on the tower. I later took the car to another track and ran 9.76 @141

***** Not really. You simply wouldn't make as much boost, it's a very common problem to have when you supercharge something.
Connor At about 1:30. I think it was just the tires chirping though.
***** Many people take for example, a mustang like my 99 gt and slap a cheap supercharger kit on it and keep the stock belt tensioner on. With the added load it is very common for belt slip to occur at high rpms. Just google supercharger belt slip, there's tons of info on it. It's even a suggested search when you start typing it. I've seen it happen many times.
***** Its pretty easy. It can handle a decent amount of power with few supporting mods.

Rubens exotics a vq35. not the best motor but an ok motor. if you build it and twin turbo it you could get 900whp or so . it would take alot of money but the record is like 8.1 in a quarter.ive been in a 2jzgte gs300 and it's 1000 to the wheels. it does an 8.5 in a quarter and weighs 4000 pounds. any factory supercharged car doesn't have that much potential beyond 1000 and less than 10 in the quarter unless it's a gt500. my friends ctsv is cammed on meth and e85 and he runs about a 10

Cody Andrews not pulling over 2 tons full interiors, air conditioning, 4 doors and enough gear to go 200mph. There is a guy with a stripped out hellcat doing 7's so they can go way faster if built like the 400hp 10's cars. It's all about power to weight and traction.
