22- 30 Not with basic bolt-ons and a 75 shot.

22- 30 Again with basic bolt-ons and a weak shot of nitrous you won't get near 1000hp. I could do the mods he did to that Hellcat in my driveway in a day. That's my point.

dobbins2550 I'd say wait for the 2017 ZL1. I think it will be the new challenger! 10 spd auto that shifts faster than the PDK.
The 8-speed in the challenger shifts faster than the PDK as well and can handle more power stock than the 10-speed that the camaro will come with.

These cars will go 8s this winter. To get these heavy weights where they are is impressive. I said it two years ago, when they start doing engine work and trans work, they will knock on 7s. They will do 8s without engine work or nitrous. Blower only is 9.48.
dobbins2550 I think that the weight is helping it with traction too. They aren't running any insane tires.
A lot of the weight bias is pretty far rear wards since the 8-speed is so heavy. Removing the A/C would be the next weight reduction step

There really isn't that much more to say. The car with me in it weighs 4500lbs so it's not a stripped out shell as some believe it is, lol. Boost is turned up, we added a little nitrous, run race gas of course, driveshaft shop 9" rear conversion to handle the power, this car's mods list is practically all over the internet and has been since the beginning of the year when Hot Rod put it on their cover.

I just thought it was kinda funny that after he asked for a rundown of the build, your next words were" yea we just ran a 9.29" lol usually when someones asks that you get an immediate answer like "oh its got a small block chevy, vortec heads, etc"...haha anyway i didn't mean any disrepect man like i said thats a great car and im rooting for yall to get into the 8s. yall be safe!

Thank you. I'm not actually the owner, just the tuner/builder and now driver for the Tout's. John passed away September 1st and he told us to make sure we didn't stop until this car ran 8's. His wife Linda races her red Charger Hellcat with us as well.

I've seen 1200 horsepower GTRs doing at best low 9s so it depends on the setup, tune and weight reduction etc
Awd is a large advantage off the line i'll wait until the hellcat adr comes out before comparing the two that thing is gonna be stupidly quick from the factory.

Eng.HiSh Cts-v is lighter as well. This is the heaviest supercar made & it does hella good for it size... Yea I said supercar, cause it is, whether people acknowledge or not. A registered 200mph car from factory stock.

B Mack The CTS-V is also a heavy car with a bit less pounds than a Hellcat but it still managed to do it with less power , the CTS-V also used to be the fastest sedan in 2009 and I don't find that useful if it's gonna be moded after all and still those caddies kill with class .
What is the record? Blower only record for the Hellcat is 9.48. That is without engine or trans work and full weight. Was that CTS-V stock engine and trans and full weight?
