One recommendation, you can remove the plastic shield in front by popping out 6 push clips with a pry bar. That will give you a better view of the Drag Link & Tie Rods and makes it easier to get a wrench in there.
Thanks for the added tip!
Easier to take the fender off with the liner attached, just have extra body mounting clips. Take out the 5 bolts, and yank the fender off with the liner attached to the fender, some of those plastic clips will break. When putting back on, put the clips on the fender first, and line up to holes on the body, and snap on. Replace the screws, and all set.
Great video . Im new to the car world and this is very helpful.
Thanks for watching
I had a huge problem with that Moog drag link sleeve and burred threads, and could not adjust my steering wheel properly, as I had a inch or so of threading In the sleeve that was flattened on the pitman arm side, luckily I kept my Mopar drag link sleeve and used that. Next time I’m buying Metalcloak and throwing the Moog in the garbage, where it belongs, totally crap quality assurance.
This whole assemble was MOOG I didn't have any issues with mine...weird.
Awesome video by the way
Thanks!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I am so stupid, I wish I would have followed the turn to the left when I did mine and just pushed that pitman arm over, instead of trying to keep center. So much easier.
Hope this video helped you out.
I bought the kit once I replaced the parts it was like night and day
This steering linkage kit worked pretty good for me too.

Wat is the piece called that connects to the pitman arm mine just snapped also is it a issue if the wheel turns before connecting it?
Same thing happened here. So I replaced all of it. it is the pitman arm drag link
@@HomeOwnerRepair thanks just got done fixing it thanks to ur video it was pretty easy just nervous I don’t want it to happen again thanks bet much
What caind of gallon compressor you guys use ?
I'm not sure I'll have to ask Steve.
They make a tool to separate those joints so you don't have to beat the crap out of the knuckle.
Yes, we use a pickle fork in a lot of our videos. This is another way to separate the joints if you do not have that particular tool.
Can you just replace the ball joint instead of replacing the whole drag link?
You should be able to replace the joint. On my Jeep the joint pulled right out of the pitman arm so I wasn't messing around with it. I replaced all of it.
Even better, he could have just replaced the tie rod end. But that adjustment sleeve was really rusted. If you have the money and can buy a drag link. Do it, spending an hour or two constantly blasting the adjustment sleeve with fire to move is a pain
shouldn't you use a torque bar on those nuts?
Yes you can. Method we used is fine.
60 ft lbs on that castle ?
I believe the torque is mentioned in the video.
