Owned one as my first bike after passing DAS and sold on after 2 years. I bought it as it was recommended by MCN and a few sparse reviews.
I sold it on and bought my dream bike a Daytona 675R afterwards and the 600F was a really good stepping stone towards a proper full fat sports bike. However, I can't believe for a second that anyone bought this bike instead of the 600RR as a legitimate alternative. It's massively down on power, no adjustability, no rearset options and the ergos are completely different (this is a hornet with a fairing kit).
I think the reason this bike didn't sell is because it's a Jack of all trades and master of none. It's not quite a sports bike and yet it's not as easy to ride as a naked bike with bars. It kind of pleases neither camp. I loved mine when I had it but don't miss it at all. As I said, perfect bike for those looking to develop towards a sportsbike but definitely not a replacement for one.
Ha ha that last photo shot looking over the fields . I've parked there many times with the kids just chilling .
That's my goto place when the head gets a little scrambled .....
Although some people dump their shit there .
Woah thats mad mate! Yeah it's a perfect spot for clearing the head for sure! It's my go too off the bike filming spot to be honest. Yeah it's a shame about the dumping, struggle to keep it out of the footage sometimes!
Braided brake lines make hell of a difference Pud 👍
Oh really! I'll have a look into that for sure!!! Cheers mate
Ive not long aquired a 2002 cbr600fy and love it i agree with all of your gripes apart from the rear break mine seems to be plenty powerful lol, but yeah ive had a massive issue trying to find parts and replacments for mine as it seems to be quite the conundrum as its the last of the carbed models and had the older fairing set and headlight, very awkward to find parts indeed
You do get a rear seat cowl, and a belly pan to make it look more fully faired... But those parts are difficult to get and can get pricey, i have a 2012 cbr600f non abs... Absolutely love it, use it as a daily rider
Defo a few of the things on my list, i agree mate I just love it
Love it as always BTW
This Is me I just ended up changing accounts due to losing some subs every time i upload a moto video on this account so decided to use my other account for that just thought to let you know @PudMoto
Thanks very much mate! Another sub for the channel hahaha
Hoping to get a 1400 gsx next week going to be a bit different from my 650 supermoto cant wait
Oh wow yeah that is defo a massive change in bikes but go for it mate!!!! Exciting stuff
Only live once in this earth enjoy its a short time but believe in Jesus christ u will have everlasting life amen 🙏
Here for a good time not a long time eyy
I shortened the gears (smaller front sprocket) on mine, it made a good difference in low down torque & powder coated the wheels white (looks much better)
I was thinking of powder coating the wheels that fireblade gold colour, would look ace. Shorter gearing is actually a great shout mate!
Do you mean less teeth on the front sprocket?
I'm assuming yes
@@steve00alt70 or you can put more on the rear, not sure which way works best but there are people out there who could tell you the best way to go about it
How much did those mods set you back?
On my 600 the front brakes squeak at low speed and thr chain comes loose quickly even though its an expensive one.
It has lonked brakes so when you're pulling on the front the rear is also engaged. I do wish it had a little more in the 0-30mph but I'd have no issue recommending this to someone as a first or second big bike.
No I absolutely agree, would have no issues recommending as I think like you said things can be done to improve the bike quite easily
Got rid of an mt07 just over a year ago and miss getting out on the road have been looking at these but cant find one with abs and ive never ridden a bike with out abs so am a little bit hesitaten would i notice the differences it having abs or not? Thanks for the video
Nah, not for me. You would have to crane me of the dam thing 😂 nice light-hearted review, keep them coming 👍
😂😂😂 Thanks alot mate, yeah not for everyone, I think I'll be going naked next
Yeah good choice, you won't feel like an old man then 🤣
@@nigelsride Yeah exactly, like a 26 year old shouldn't be moaning about hip pain 🤣
@@pudmoto 🤣🤣🤣
Considering buying this bike off my mate next year as my second bike after 2 years on a ninja 300
Mate honestly it's a cracking bike you will not be dissappointed!
Before I start watching.... Rev counter 🤣
Hahaha ooooo no I didn't actually include that. Seen it on alot of bad reviews but to be honest it just doesn't bother me, feel like whenever I look I can see it fine
The parts for this bike are impossible to get. 😢😢 If you drop it you'll have to make your own parts. I'm not kidding, i own the same bike. 😢😢😢
I've found that already! Even getting bloody brake pads has been a pain in the arse hahaha
Hi I saw you were n bowness today
Hi mate! Thanks for subbing! I'm guessing you're the lad I spoke to 🤣
@@pudmoto yep that’s me
Amazing! Welcome to the channel!
Is it a good bike for a tall person? I'm 191cm but it just looks so good not to buy it
I think a tall person would do just fine on it to be honest yes mate
I am 192cm and have the exact same bike - its very comfortable, the reason why I bought it over a super sport. 300-400 km journeys are fine, you can lean in corner if you want some sporty riding, you can sit up right if you're driving in town. Prefect for lanky lads =D
Is this a f4i? I'm confused
nope, cbr600f 2011-13 based on Hornet PC41 (2007 rr engine, tuned for more torque down)
@@manbiteslife3110 unfortunately we don't have that model here in straya such a shame
@@alitoroganan2442 it does have its flaws , so don't worry about it too much. It's a good bike overall, but leaves a lot to be desired. F4i is superb also, if you find one in good condition , grab it!
5 Months Ago It Was A Hidden Jem
Until pudmoto burst onto the scene hahaha jks
