FINALLY a metal plugin without ungodly amounts of 7 and 11kHz baked in!!! It blows my mind how often people boost those frequencies then wonder why things sound harsh/fizzy.
stop the lying, this is the Kazrog Ampcraft sim decked out as a one knob, the whole technology has been out for almost a decade yet these punks got together cause the market for plugins is so saturated, especially sims, they cant sell plugins any more so the lying is now a norm
I bought it when i got the e-mail, it just sounds that good. It feels really good to play too. The only drawback is that is it insanely CPU intensive (well for my 9 year old macbook pro)
Not really, I love this plugin. It has only one Knob, You plug in and get a great sound. Just like my JCM800 SC20. My tube amp however does not care how you tweak it, it sounds great, as long as the master is above 5. I used an HB attenuator for that. I get enough gain and compression with no pedals. The plugin still sounds worse AND in 1 year there will be one sim better than the previous one. JCM 800 is for 20 years. It will be worth more money in the future.
Sounds really good! I like the simplicity approach. I like nerding out and dialing in tones with all the options, but having something simple would be really handy. Especially for songwriting and getting ideas down quickly.
"We're gonna twiddle A knob." Giggity! Absolutely love the concept though. One knob, done! Quick and easy. I'll probably be buying it, since I love the sound but don't need another amp (already have a Mark IV and a Hiwatt!)
Just tried the Peavey/evh version of knobamp. It's crazy good. Moving from neural DSP to this now. I hope they will release non metal amp version like marshall, orange etc.
Brilliant! Quick and good sounding from the beginning, just as it should be. Tweaking amps can be fun but seriously it’s more fun just playing and recording. Makes my Swedish heart a bit proud 🍻
This is actually very cool! One knob and you're good to go. Imagine if Bogren Digital actually released its analog version (basically a large physical knob)
For a rock guitar sound, I'd want less gain and more low mids. Also, how loud is your input signal? It looks like it's hitting close to 0dB. I bet you could clean it up with lower output pickups.
Fluff, I don't know if you'll see this or if this is worthy of being an FAQ question. But I just wanted to ask if you had to update your ML Soundlab Roots product, what would you change/add...Would you want to change to their Vorna tech and implement their new cab system? Basically the question is, what would you change about your ampsim package if you hypothetically released it today? Regards and much love from Namibia
Holy shit. This thing is the real deal. I put a tube screamer plug-in in front of it for the mix I was doing but it doesn’t need it. It really is that good. WTF
Is this finally the FIRST 2 ch. Dual Rectifier REV C virtual amp sim? Would love to try it later today, but still hope to get a fuller version with all other knobs.
Fluff can you do a free version of your Rev C Rectifier like you did with Amped Roots from ML Soundlab? With the high cost of everything from inflation many of us do not have the extra money to spend on plugins and other music gear!
@@Bogren.Digital So is the idea basically to release different one knob sims for different amps that are simplified and more mix ready? So one doesn't have to faff about with all the different parameters on most sims?
@@Bogren.Digital Thank you so much for the clarification. I should have known something was up when the cover art was you standing on a ladder next to a 15 foot tall kick drum! You make awesome records and products.

I own an early REV C dual rec (R058) #58. This is the closest I’ve heard to that real REV C sound, however still missing that crunchy snap that makes the early dual rectifiers sound so good
Perhaps it's hard to emulate the Schumacher into the vsts Rectos. Sadly we have only few 2 channel based sims. Thermionk 5 was first dual recto rev f 1992, Fluffs Mega Fluff Rev F, STL tones amphub Recto Rev F 1993. Now with this one knob Rev C. Hope they make more Rev C sims and also more knobs for people who like to dig on their own.
It's great, but I think it would be even better if it had a simple eq section (bass, middle, treble) and an option to turn off the cab and use custom IR's. It would be more versatile while still keeping the simplicity.
I get that, but they've already included a hidden section for gate. There could be another one for eq, with just a discreet button on the corner which we would click and then the parameters of the eq would pop up. The main interface would still have only the gain knob.
👋 I have a question! Let's say you have several amp heads and 1 rack unit, is there a way to run that rack (things like EQ, delay, noise gate etc) into the effects loops of all of the amp heads at once? I'd like to split my signal into qt least 2 heads but I don't want to have to have a different rack for each head....
only if the racks are stereo (two ins and two outs), otherwise you'll have to converge the signal from the two heads to a single output, but you'll not be able to split then again after the racks;
@@MatthiasBuesing Have you even used this plugin yet? Ive always dreamed of a mesa suit from neural bus Bogren knows what's up this thing has gotten me a not neural fanboy anymore Cant wait for more releases!
@@MatthiasBuesing Me too! I got kinda bored with NDSP always "recycling" what they've used before and marketing as "new".
