In my opinion, Tim O'Brien has the consummate Bluegrass voice. Sutton's playing a CANNON!

I love everything about Tim O’Brien’s musicianship… and Stuart Duncan is one of my favorite fiddlers for sure. Man I love that fiddle break.

This tune has what I think is one of the most beautiful lines ever written in the English language:" I still might run in silence tears of joy might stain my face, and the summer sun might burn me 'til I'm blind". If you have ever been thousands of miles from home, or just wandered the country, or knocked around with no roots, you'll understand.

I couldn't agree more. I use to sing this song to my wife and I would get choked up when I came to that line.. Beautiful song...

And the lines before that: "And some other woman's cryin' to her mother
'Cause she turned and I was gone" Just a beautiful, timeless song.

"Though the wheatfields and the clotheslines and the junkyards and the highways come between us..."
So mundane yet so evocative; beautiful lyrics.

I have been to several Tim o Brien concerts in the UK and the one which I remember best is meeting the man at the Fiddle Fest in Baltimore in Cork, being O Brine on my mother's side we got talking where his people came from and mine and so on ,he came over so relaxed and easy going ,I can't say if he joined our session.went to see him perform at night in the main hall , and he spoke again to me awhile and to my friends ,I will always remember his unbelievable mandolin picking , guitar, fiddle and old time banjo , what a talented man JB

Happened onto this yesterday and it simply washed over me. The effortless musicianship is beyond words. This was a beautiful moment for me. As you listen to the breaks or fills during this "happening" the phrase that came to mind was, "less is more" it wasn't about cramming every note they could but placing the right note in the phrase at the right time. Powerful. Thank you Mr.Boris7910
