We [The Cache Creek Polecats] used to do this, with Steve Vanderpan doing vocals and guitar-he got it off of Jerry Garcia. The players are:Stuart Duncan on fiddle,Tim O'Brien on mandolin and vocals,Dennis Crouch on bass and Bryan Sutton on guitar-these are some of the best bluegrass musicians ever.Been All Around This World is traditional.
My favorite version of this tune ever! Can anyone make out the lyrics at 1:00? It sounds like "what kinda hangin' ..." and then I can't make out what he sings after that.
I was glad to see Tim O'Brien and Bryan Sutton on this of course, but when I saw Stuart Duncan I really lit up.
Bryan's second lead break is wonderful. I've listen to this so many times and keep coming back !
X$
It's hard to imagine how it could be played better than this. Solid and Smokin. It makes my heart sing.

Met Tim at the rockygrass festival in Lyons, CO. Awesome guy!
My my, mighty fine.
Stuart always did know his way around a melody! You always know what song he plays.
Amazing use of scales by the guitarist. I like the triplets he throws in there.
Like the music is already there for the taking!
@@boxmouth1 Bryan Sutton on guitar, makes it look so easy!

It's really cool to think about the fingerings they're in. NO capo on fiddle or mando. Brian playing out of D. Very cool.
