"It took 20 years to complete Nightmare 100% secrets."
* Next video: TNT: Evolution Nightmare! 100% Secrets (Peter) *
Ohh...
Let's be honest, did you expect anything else? ;)
Pistol start probably makes it easier on nightmare. So many full runs would get ruined by stronghold considering metal would leave you with about 20 health.
@@Arto91 So? You would die and go to pistol start, so it makes no differenc in the end.
@@kaczan3 Unless it's a no-death run. Which may go without saying?
When will MAP09 on UV Pacifist be completed?
*Whispers into ear* "I always turn off adblock for you"
Woohoo, have no fear, Decino is here!
I tend to like the aesthetic, tone and gimmicks of the TNT Evilution maps more than Plutonia's
What are you, from Australia where everything is upsidedown and backwards?
@@audiosurfarchive literally, yes
@@audiosurfarchive I agree, I like TNT more than Plutonia. Never been a fan of mindless slaughter maps. TNT had some very cool looking maps for its time.
@@salamut2202 fucking lel, respect then
@@ThomasNoname Plutonia isnt even a slaughter WAD though. They're compact, difficult almost puzzle maps, especially pistol-starting. _It's a protoslaughter WAD_ though with some of levels and its average monster HP and count being much higher. Defo not a slaughterwad, nor mindless. Try it pistol-started again if it's been a while and you can see the influence it's had on maps to this day.
Human Barbeque's the reason I gave up trying TNT without saving, like the hitscanning and intensity and that early in scared me away
(Still damn satisfying to watch, good show man)
Punching chaingunners. The absolute madlad
Environment-wise, while Plutonia is more rounded-out and challenging, TNT is more about experimentation & creativity, with vast labyrinthine maps & traps. Yes they could be draggingly tedious, but at same time it adds an explorative element refreshing from the chaotic bustle of mass-slaughtering demons, essential first-person gaming. Plus the original midis are some of the most amazing DooM music even by today's standards.
Thanks A Lot Decino for playing through this series, just as quintessential to Final DooM as Plutonia is.
I'm in the minority that enjoys playing TNT Evilution more then Plutonia. There's just too much brown and green everywhere in Plutonia, not to mention that it has no original music.
now it has it's owen Midi pack and it changes the whole Experience you really try it
MAP04 is such an interesting concept utterly wasted by the ability to just exit the map in 25 seconds
Yeah, I think so too. That could they made much better.😊
@@tommy8058 ikr.. Just make the 2nd exit the real one.. and make the first one take you back to the start of the map.
@@satisfiction yeah thanks. I know that. But sometimes by accident it happen that I went out. Haha.😁
wolfenstine 3d had a level like this too where you can end it right away or find a secret that hid the other 90% percent of it
When I played that map as a kid I was really confused: I was certain that I had explored everything, but still the level end stats were far from being 100%. That was in the 90's and my access to any sort of resources like walkthroughs was severely limited, and so it was mind blowing to finally, by accident, discover the "parallell world". I think that is the intented effect, and for me, it worked wonderfully.
32:43 This is probably the best use of blur sphere in any Doom wad ever.
Now this switch will open up a wall, which reveals a bunch of nastiness...
Sounds like you just lowered the walls at a motel
I love this map 1. As always starts as a horseshoe reference to e1m1 but then it gets really weird. The trigger on the blue door makes you not really step on it cause you don't have the blue key, then you have a lit switch that you turn off, a chaingunner trap and the classic exit switch that lowers into a trap. Coming from the vanilla wads this intro puts things into perspective very fast.
Man, you're definately going to get ALL the virgin cosplayers at all the con meetings.
Considering he'll have done the four main IWAD's on UV fast plus Hell Revealed on UV max all from a pistol start on every map he also deserves to get the building where the con is taking place
7:24 Oh hey, this is the room I mentioned to someone else here ages ago.
Also, wormhole is really great! And "rotten dimension" is a good name for that area.
Very cool tour of Evilution. I never bothered exploring the altnernate dimension in Wormhole!
Noticed, PSX Final doom takes alot of maps from TNT: Evilution and not many from the Plutonia experiment.
"The amount of hitscanners is insane" its funny how early doom position those enemies as a low-grade. Early levels are packed with them. Doom 2 map 2 is very common.
Yay, more decino with Doom :) Thank you ! What I loved about TNT is that they used custom music for most of the levels. The music for Map04 "Wormhole" is my favorite. I think it's named "Death's Bells".
Finally some TNT! Just remember now that in Map28 you'll go to Heck, so you'll need to run like Heck.
Also, I loathe Human BBQ, such a stupid map. Though usually I'm one of those rare TNT supporters who actually enjoy the absolute majority of its maps.
Why didn't the Pinkies go into the water?
Because they're terrified of a Bath-omet.
Haha. Is a good one.😂
There's definitely something creepy about that "deep water" z-axis trick mappers use, you don't want to mess with that.
Can you mcF**king not
@@Ltdarku6280 I feel like the marine in the background is like "YOU DROPPED YOUR WALLET!!!!!"
@@allenslayman5546 lmao I know right?
TNT is much more beatiful than Plutonia, imo. And thank you very much for this series. They actually impress me and give me that little push to get better and play UV-fast myself rather than usual UV.
''Offense is the best defence''
True. They can't kill you if they're dead.
I had a nostalgia attack while watching this video. I played so much TNT when I was younger.
That splash screen is the most 90's cg thing since the og xcom opening
"It took 20 years to Nightmare 100% secrets this level"
Peter: Challenge Accepted
man I got better things to do
@@PeterLawrenceYT haha Peter. I agree totally. Anything is better than TNT on nightmare.🤕😂
Your "GREETINGS EVERYONE" should be on alarm clocks around the world. Your narration is calm and collective even under pressure. You should do books on tape. Maybe that can be your profession. Narration from the DECIMATION
Greetings everyone, and welcome to my 100% playthrough of The Game of Life with Fast Aging enabled. This is Age 18: Getting a Job.
I am ready to learn the sickest strats from the man himself. Agitated skeletons look out you're about to get boned.
I've seen Deci destroy almost everything, but I've saved TNT for when I needed it most! Bring it on! I love how he says "It took me 20 years to nightmare this level". We know what you mean Decino, you mean that you didn't try until 20 after it was released and did it on your first try. Don't be humble! Haha
Decino: *has 90% health, grabs medikit which restores 25% health*
Me: ***IS TRIGGERED***
for real though its great to have you back, i really love TNT's level design and with this awesome first part of the playthrough, i'd say we're in for a blast (no pun intended).
TNT has some of my favorite Doom music of any WAD
Map 4 actually has my favorite music track in all of classic Doom.
I know a lot of players don't like Evilution, but I do. A lot of the maps manage to look like actual places, which I hadn't really expected to see out of Doom up till that point. Plutonia pushed what could be done with monster placement, while this pushed what could be done with map design.
Evilution! Some of the levels in it are really good.. and others are really bad. Can you believe me and Never_Again (via DSDA) are the only people to have posted their UV-Fast completions of MAP27, Mount Pain on UA-cam as of yet? Looking forward to your take on it, though.
tnt has such a bizarre difficulty curve, first level's like any other and then the second throws a room full of hell knights and barons at you, not to mention endless pinkies/specters
Decino, did you know that there is actually a Revenant inside every human? It's a horrifying thought, but his job is to provide structure for our bodies and cause the never-ending internal screaming.
Skeletal creatures aren't real haha. Nice joke.
Not screaming, dooting.
I really like music from map 4. It might be my most favorite track in doom series
"Death's Bells" high on my list too. Especially since I never played TNT on launch and wasn't subjected to the broken MIDI of it (the titular bells can't even be heard) and "Smells Like Burning Corpse".
I like it too. Especially the bass line.
It really is one of the best
Good luck for the next batch, I think it's probably the most ruthless section in all of the IWADs, at least with fast monsters. :)
What’s worse than a map with many chain gunners?
A Romero map with no chaingun.
(I wish I could’ve commented this in one of the Sigil videos.)
It's never too late

31:44 Mr. Skele looks surprised that he came out the winner.
I've been waiting for this.
Been looking forward to this for a long time. Think TNT is really underrated with some interesting and difficult levels. Playing very different to Plutonia is a plus in my books since you get two unique experiences.
Man, indeed harder than Plutonia so far! Yet, the magnificient Decino went “meh, hold my avocado!”
22:44 very risky, not to say suicidal to use rockets with 28% health near the red torch.😲😂 And yeah, I agree that TNT seems harder till now like Plutonia because of the many hitscanners. I think that continues till the last two or three maps of the game.🤕😉 But wait!
Plutonia has many hitscanners too when I think on for example 'the twilight' or 'speed', 'bunker' and others so I don't know...🤔
But anyway;
Great run decino.👍👊🤘❤
Oh, glad you're back. Your voice is kinda different tho. But nice run my friend, you rock!!
The Serious Sam livestream messed with my mic settings. Tried to match the old settings, but looks like I need to work on it more.
@@decino Personally I'm unable to tell any difference even after you mentioning it. Good as always. I'm using speakers though, not headphones
Finally! I can actually hear the music!
And not only: "Oh, I really like this track"
* Music is so quiet, you can't hear a thing *
Thank you, now I know which song you like...
Always a pleasure to catch a decino vid! Marvellous stuff, man. Even though I probably couldn't run it as well as you, I definitely get some tactics by watching your vids. There's still always something new to learn about DOOM.
lol I guessed you wouldn't take the easier way and telefrag the barons in the blue key room in 03!
Telefragging them is actually one way to get yourself killed with fast monsters. Teleporting freezes your movement briefly, giving the demons enough time to fling their shit at you.
@@decino I wanted to ask the same question. So thanks for the answer.👍 😉
I remember quitting this pack after Hanger showed me its mile-away-chaingunner-deathsquad. That convinced me it was one of 'those' map packs.
Hell yeah! I love TNT so much. There's a lot of neat designs.
Edit: maybe you would do Adventures of Square one day? It's pretty hardcore.
@@doommaker4000 Exactly!
I was so confused by the start of Hanger when I first played it, I like the music in this Wad as well.
Very nice - classy stuff as always. I’m playing through Ancient Aliens at the moment; think you’d do a great run of the wad! Keep ‘em coming man
Oh I waited so soooo long for another of these walkthroughs!!!!!! Can't wait for the 1 map per video format to resurface! Excellently done my man!

I was really hoping Evilution would be next! I'm looking forward to your guide for the secret map "Pharoah." That map had some weird mechanics that I could hardly figure out when I played it. Took me a couple hours to accidentally get through it.
20:25 imp body glitch on platform
Love your vids by the way
Excellent as always.
I'm still hoping for the beauty of Saturn X to be visited (and SSStylishly rekt).
dude i was only starting to play plutonia for the first time and u uploaded this , i must watch it lol .
Been looking forward to this!
Oof, that second level. No armor and hitscanners everywhere is the DOOM equivalent of kicking someone in the balls...
...now I want to see Peter 100% nightmare run it.
Great job!! TNT has some boring maps but I'm sure you'll make them exciting to watch! Looking forward to watching the next video 👏
Ah, this is primed to be another fine time of it---definitely one I missed entirely back when it first came out.
I wonder how you're going to handle mount pain.
he won't, Mount pain will handle him
@@electrorage4158when Mount Pain acts as usual then yeah.😂
With an assload of aspirin and Boomer Juice.
You mean Mount "Go Fuck Yourself" Pain.
"Now I'm gonna punch the bejesus out of everyone!" I miss this Decino
Finally
I was waiting for some TNT evilution.
Oh boi, time for some more hitscanners!
love your dedication... keep up man
Trying this too alongside Plutonia. (in crispy doom because I'm even more of a retro nerd)
Wormhole was a hell of a ride, took me five tries or so.
Having a limited ammo shotgun made the begining a bit of a change of survival or not.
The revenant in the middle of the bridge was an asshole, sometimes didn't fell like fighting or getting stuck randomly, not to mention fast revenant missiles (am already bad at doging the normal ones)
On one of my first tries I decided for whatever reason to catch some ammo in the secret of the normal dimension before going to the alternative one, terrible desicion, got even lower and unprepared to the next section, had ended up following decinos path.
Human barbicue was kind of hard to pull, but mostly because of silly mistakes that decino at this point might not understand in his almighty completing SWTW and Sunlust pistol start no saves.
The rest was a breeze, just died once in map01 because I couldn't punch a stupid imp after 4 tries
Absolutely pumped to watch you blast your way through another mapset. Best Doomer on UA-cam.
Thanks you Kanye very cool!
I never actually got past Map 1 when I tried playing it for the first time. Why would I try to open a door I know I don't have the key for?
10:25 - Yes, it does sound weird. Makes me feel better about playing Plutonia, though.
Aw Hell yeah TNT Evilution! My favorite of the official Doom Megawads! Also Get ready for Mount Pain.
Mount Pain is my favourite map of tnt but you can't say that loud in doomworld. So don't tell anyone.🤫😁
Administration Center robs me of my will to live. Brr...that level!
@@thedungeondelver oh you're right. That beast takes so long is not fun to play and isn't even fun to watch.😣😁
@@tommy8058 I personally agree, it's top 10 material for me anyways. Map 31 Pharaoh will always be my favorite, honorable mention goes to Map 16 Deepest Reaches and Map 26 Ballistyx, I don't care what people say about those two, those are so cool in design.
@@Dan-bz2nh ya was more a joke but I like mount pain. You feel by playing it that the creator Drake O'Brien knew what to do with his monster placement to boost the adrenaline of the poor player.😁
The maps you mentioned are very good. ' Ballistyx' and 'Deepest Reaches' setting me always in a scary state of mind like 'oh man, I don't want to go down to the catacombs'. I think that comes from my time playing that on the playstation with it's creepy soundtrack. 😂
YAY, Uncle Decino's back!!!
I really enjoyed the soundtrack for this game.
Ever since I first heard you refer to cacodemons as tomatoes, I can't help but think of Attack of The Killer Tomatoes whenever I see one.
you're crazy man Nightamare and fast monsters on every Doom Game 😂
For such a short map, Wormhole sure went on for a while!
You can telefrag the hell knights and barons in the supercharge trap room btw! Good vid, waiting for more!
I know, but with fast monsters it's risky because of how teleporting momentarily freezes your movement.
yeaaaaahhh you're back!
When he said one by one I thought he was making a reference to dagames Doom song.
watching this playthrough right after i just finished mine, my experience in classic doom is just doom 1, 2 and 64. so tnt was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy harder than what im used to haha.
plutonia keen as
So far it is my most favorite part of early dooms. If only it had a episodic system like D1 with episode maps...
I crapped my pants.
Thank you for making this a reality.
And we are back! I call this WAD just Evilution because that's the on-screen title on both the title card and the menu screen
I'm interested to discover what your opinions on Levels 19-27 will be as that block isn't highly regarded amongst some players
Definitely you should do the scythe 2 WAD. I think it would be very interesting with the new monsters and high difficulty
Hello. The plasmagun-guy was deadly. Made me much trouble.😂
D, I got a thank you man you upped my game. well..... in this game. I'm finding the chainsaw works great against revenants single. They can't play out their punch animation.
Not 100% reliable.
@@decino yeah I just found that out the hard way.
Pinky eating the arachnotron lol this reminds me of PB 3.0 where pinkies can entirely eat humanoid characters. It sounds like an oral orgy (it lingers for ~30 seconds and is composed by repeating zombie pain sound accompanied by suckin' sound) the mod is great btw, i can hardly play classic doom now.
4:05 Wait, what? The pinkies and spectres can't come and attack you when you stand in the pool? Huh, guess you _do_ learn something new every day. :D
From the first time I played it in 96 till now, I still enjoy TNT more than Plutonia.
TNT has some good ideas amd one of the best official secret levels. But TNT gets a lot of sub par maps during the middle and the end. It just drags on and on without finding an end. Plutonia is just a nasty SOB. I love the traps, brutality and raw force they use to make your life hell. Yeah the maps are mostly ugly to look at, but design wise they fulfill there meaning. They put you in constant action and so it dosent feel that long.
Watching these videos in preparation for something is not right series...and I am cringing at the lack of item pick ups!! Haha, old times.
Hello Decino, been a min since I last commented. Or probably liked but I'm still watching your doom vids. Too much probably.
Anyway, Doom II came out for PS4 as a standalone and came with Master Levels: you should do the Master Levels.
Maybe you and Peter can do CO-OP missions together on Nightmare or Ultra-Violence on all the dooms that came out? Just a thought.
I think you two would be a funny Duo trying not to shoot each other accidentally and of course seeing the power behind two doom masters speeding through everything c:
Until next time!
I never imagined I see doom on a 55" tv and would completly fine with the visuals :O this game is ridicilious.
Well the 1080p resolution and 60 fps rendering does wonders, you can pretty much consider Doom just a pixel art game by modern standards, so really no reason for it not to look decent. I bet some ports allow 4k rendering as well.
In map 5 I always love-hated the music because I played this map for too long and music repeated for so many times, but at the end I like it (if I don't play of course)
28:41 Nice damage RNG manipulation to get the perfect health percent
Woah, tnt too?
