    I got given one of these because of the exact problem. I figured it may have been something like this but figured that as they were using soda that it could also have gotten condensation from the compressed air. About to try it out but with this in mind, thanks for the tips.

      Your welcome. These pots are no good for soda really, just abrasive media. We have a few customers wanting these pots for soda blasting so we guide them to our soda blasters.
      Good luck. I hope you get it working

      @@Sandblasters thanks. You're obviously a trader with ethics who likes to give their customers the best deal. I have had it for years, I am going to use it to clean out a seam on a trailer I am repairing. It's a bit difficult to get in there with standard tools.

    I've been using that procedure for a while but I still always dread using the pressure pot blaster because fine sand will still clog the hose occasionally and these things are so awkward to work with to clear the lines, especially when full of sand!

      Hi Ed, Have you checked that its not a media issue or that you have moisture getting in from the compressor?

    I have a question. .
    I have a 110lb pot. I also picked up 50lb bag of Black Diamond fine grit. Should I dump the whole bag in or is less better for flow?
    I'm running a Speedaire 7.5 hp/25 cfm. Thanks.

    • @Sandblasters
      @Sandblasters  3 роки тому +2

      You should be fine with that Vincent. As long as you don't fill the pot over 3/4 full you'll be good. Leaving enough room for the air to pressurise the tank.

    My pot has plenty of garnet coming out with a small nozzle tip but bugger all pressure. I have a big compressor and high pressure in the blast pot...but wen I pull the trigger heaps a abrasive comes out but not enough pressure to blow the skin off a custard...I'm going crazy 🤪

    • @Sandblasters

      How much media is in the tank?
      You want it halfway to 3/4 full leaving enough room for air

      Hi Nick, ideally you want 150/200 litre tank with 18cfm

    Are pressure pots faster/ more effective than siphon ?

    What if is blasting air only.....is not throwing sand even though I open it little at a time and lines aren't clogged???

    • @Sandblasters
      @Sandblasters  Рік тому

      Then I would remove the bottom valve and check the hole in the bottom of the tank for a blockage in case something has dropped inside the tank
