If you enjoyed it and hit that LIKE button, that’ll really help me out. And did you know my motivation comes from your COMMENTS?
Hi Mr. Richard Yang! Sorry for I kept you hanging. Just been busy outside and barely had time to open my UA-cam. I had just noticed you uploaded this vid and the reply you replied me back, knowing that it must have been my inspiring virtuostic UA-camr pianist!!! AAAAA been low-key waiting you know! Because I learned from you and played it before, so I relate. 😭😭😭😭😭👏👏👏👏. Don't worry about your ears. You've got good perfect pitch, although the tempo (for me) it's a bit fast (for trodding on the waters). But who am I to judge, you taught me and I love you to play!!!!😆😆👏👏😭😭😭
I love this arrangement as well! It may have been over 10 years since this piece, but I think it’s timeless. You did a wonderful job encapsulating this! I love your phrasing
FF15 full album recorded in my Playlist section. Don’t forget to check out Omnis Lacrima and Veiled in Black. This to me, feels completely different than FF15. This piece is in its own world! Even considering KH as a whole.
Finally found the time to check this out! Very nice!! This track to me is also hands down the top few in the entire KH series. The orchestra version is also worth checking out.
You hyped this up a whole lot leading to the upload, and it was so justified! Thank you for introducing me to such a beautiful arrangement [and its definitive recording :)] Your rubato in overdrive is perfect. Hope this reaches more ears & eyes - will pass it along to my friends
I'm not much of a Kingdom Hearts fan but this is beautiful. Not only is the piece itself fantastic, but the way you played it definitely shows a lot of passion for it. I thought the style sounded familiar but then I saw another comment mentioning Final Fantasy XV and it all makes sense! And the small reprise of Dearly Beloved near the end (the only KH track I'm really familiar with) is soooo good...
Your ability to mesmerize your listeners with your piano playing is just highly commendable! It's just so easy to get so caught up with the emotions you express through this tune. I also love the intensity you've put into this piano cover of yours. It really sounds intensely emotional to me. Fantastic work, Richard! I really like this one!
Thank you UA-cam algorithm for bring me here from your Call of Silence short. Xion's boss theme has always been my favorite song in the KH series ever since I heard it through those tiny DS speakers all those years ago. It translates so beautifully to the piano as you have demonstrated.
Amazing performance, as always! The garritan CFX does a great job in capturing all the emotion you put into playing this song. The phrasing is great and very important in this performance. I like how at 2:10 you make the middle section stand out. And at repeat around 2:20 it sounds slightly softer. Definitely not an amateur! A professional indeed! I had to edit comment, and it removed the heart :(. I accident said doesn’t instead of does.
wonderful job Richard!! Def my favorite of all the SQEX piano collections, and I agree with your tempo, I always felt the marked tempo was too slow, it feels and sounds so much better like this. Flawless playing and interpretation, happy holidays to you and your family!
Hi Sean, you’ve followed my journey from the early days. I think you would probably agree that this is my best one yet (overall performance, not in difficulty).
Reminded me that I need to communicate that a few things from the lesson may have changed because I played on very different pianos, especially on pedaling.
no way, I loved all your AoT/Animenzz covers and cool to see you like KH music as well! I love Xions theme, great motifs and agree with the tempo because it sounds much better like this. Did you just use the original score completely? I might try to learn it too. Side note I like to use rubato on “Call of Silence” too, I feel it’s simple but very strong
@@splish_2 you should visit my playlist section. I recorded the complete KH Piano Collections, both books. And yes, this is based on the official score, I stayed faithful to the notes. And by the way, I recorded these not really because I liked them, but just because I had the official sheets for the whole thing, and I like to record things complete. But NOW, I do like them.
@@RichardYangPiano For sure I will check it out! I also liked Lazy Afternoons. You probably have seen him, but you should check out Kyle Landry! He's been my favorite pianist for well over a decade, you should definitely check out some of his arrangements
@@splish_2 He’s a great pianist. But I’m not into his arrangements. I need whatever I play to be properly annotated. His arrangements are not always…, should I say, compliant.
@@RichardYangPiano Makes sense, I agree it's not always a 1:1 translation when transcribed for his arrangements. I am a fan of your channel though, might be interested in picking piano lessons back up again. you do $50 a month for 1 lesson a month or are there options for more?
@ I put $50 on YT only because it takes a cut. I normally charge $40/hour when booked directly. But I don’t have new openings for weekly students. Right now, I’m only available for touch up lessons here and there as required. But I must say if you can find an in-person teacher that will be much more beneficial to beginners.
Amazing playing! I recently came across your channel and love the way you play and that you also make tutorials! I'm actually new to piano and am looking for a good VST to use. I've noticed you have been using the Garritan VST a lot, would it be the one you recommended the most? Would love to know your opinion. Thank you and keep up the great videos :)
I use Garritan CFX for the final conversion because it sounds most gorgeous. But the software itself feels too unstable for live feedback. The program chokes a lot and sometimes takes seconds before being normal again. So for live feedback, I use PianoTeq. Which has “modeled” sound instead of “sampled” sound. Installation is much smaller, not processor intensive. Although it doesn’t sound nearly as good, it’s much better than the stock sound of the Yamaha N1X.
Just checking if you know this exists: ua-cam.com/play/PLlJL4oIR7cbHXVpk1442Qe1Gmo4ckNI3N.html&si=GPcGSVjgIJu1TVI6 I have both KH albums done (and ALL of FF). Check out my playlist section. Kairi, although it’s nice, I don’t think there’s enough interest here for a remake. I might play it myself for fun just to enjoy the gorgeous VST sound.
@@AnirollAi Riku and Working Together are the TOP most difficult two pieces for the 2 albums together by the way. Especially Riku. There’s one other working version on UA-cam that’s it. I’d imagine it’s not playable by most.
