@@artorias11 Liebestraum to this is quite a stretch. I actually have a hard time trying to think of a classical piece that can serve as an etude for this. This piece is truly non-classical. If you have a good habit of keeping things “clear”, you can try this piece. For me, the notes are fine. It’s the stamina requirement that’s off the chart. Need to push your arm’s tolerance beyond the limit.
@artorias11 classical music trains different things its more about articulation and dynamics while animenz is more about voicing and playing the techniques. I legit feel panicked when I play animenz lol
@ the animenz ladder I’m currently planning on climbing is Avid, WILL, Sparkle, tbd , Sincerely (my favorite), and the rest I have no idea but I would want to do this one and bios years down the road. I’ve only been playing piano for about 10 months self taught so progress has been going good so far. Thank you for your videos.

Yes, this is the final recording. Channel members get pre-release access this time. Other than Animenz himself, I can’t find any other recording remotely close to this. Other than some unfortunate mistakes, this is almost an overkill.

I just don't have the courage to try this piece, so I improvise my own version instead. The rhythm of Crying For Rain is really hard to get it right, and I wonder whether I should split the beat into 8th note or use a metronome.... Maybe both?
@@lightbulbDDP Once it “clicks” it does become easier. But before that, it’ll remain super difficult. Ultimately this piece is about learning how to max out your stamina.
@@ifritsrealm That’s the embarrassing part. When I play, the more difficult it is the more you’ll see my lip movements. That’s the uncontrollable part. A lot of times I do “count”, but in this case it’s just lack of coordination between hands and lips.

Damn, i was so confused at the beginning if i was actually hearing animenz's spirio or you haha. So similar playing and also the sound too. Truly a magnificent performance. (Why doesnt my garritan cfx sound like this?🗿 it just ends up glitching or sm) Having almost cleared unravel very well in my latest release, i think i'll have to move on to correct my kawaki wo ameku haha. Maybe some day
@@pierrotzzz that’s why I use PianoTeq for live feedback. Garritan is too glitchy. I use it for final offline conversion only. You are quite talented. Being able to bring those pieces to the level I’m hearing, on your own. That’s good stuff man.

I was gonna post this cover soon too but u beat me to it LOL. Althought I am still struggling with accuracy issues in the second chorus and tempo issues in the finale ;-;
I probably set the bar pretty high. Haha. In theory you should have an easier time with the finale than I, your fingers are long enough that the final jumps shouldn’t stress you out as much. When I have to open up to an octave chord, having the index finger at the “2” position causes like instant death to my arms. I can barely reach 9th, and my fingers are way too short. I practiced at a bit faster than this to eventually tough it out. This piece is a stamina drainer.

Frankly my technique isn't good compared to yours because I never really enjoyed piano before I found Animenz Unravel 6 months ago but you are right with the finale because I struggle more with accuracy than stamina there. How long did u spend practicing this piece btw?
@@randomgamer9015 To play most of the parts other than the final jump, a couple of months touch time. I added another week to tough out and build stamina to make it to the end.
@ also, it’s on and off. This was very difficult. When I hit a wall, I would park the piece for a while. When I pick up again, there was usually some automatic improvement that somehow happened in the background.

@@bebigorl The touch time was definitely months. Normal Animenz is usually a couple of weeks. That’s how difficult this was. If someone could give me some pointers early on, could’ve learned much faster. But I had to figure everything out on my own.
@@anhminhnguyenquang3693 A LOT. If you’re a beginner, Animenz is not the right stuff. If you try to tough it out, you’ll lose the chance of ever being able to play. Bad muscle memory will become your worst enemy.

Hello Richard It’s me again😂, I have a question regarding piano, although I’m still considered a beginner I want to know how I can practice in say to help me pick up songs fast, for example you are able to ply most of animnz songs decently in about 1 or 2 weeks which is very impressive, although how do you practice so that you pickup the songs fast let’s say I’m learning something more simple, how would I try to get the rhythm, the notes and theory down ? How should I think approaching a new piece even if it is simple in a way to help me learn it fast (let’s say simple song in 2 days 😂😂 or harder one in 2 weeks ) Sorry for the long message but I just don’t know how to explain what I’m asking I hope you understand what I mean 😂😂
@@Justmewapiano it’s all about your sight reading skills, which comes with experience. Before you get there, the best thing you can do is to stare at the sheet while listening to the recording and try to convince yourself what you’re listening to is what you’re looking at. This is especially helpful on figuring out the rhythm, which I personally do.

I’m keeping the popular ones like this, Gurenge, Idol, etc as member-only. I’ll still release piano lessons for the regular Animenz stuff. I might do public release in the future, but might be a while. One reason is that on similar videos, others get all the comments while my comments section usually stay relatively empty, which is sad. These are my motivation.
@@RichardYangPiano This might be unwanted advice/ opinion so feel free to just ignore me But I think you should encourage people to click on the videos and watch before doing a membership push. I watch everything you published, both tutorials and performances basically within 1-2 days of of release since around Vogel Im kafig (like a year ago) and I think you are one of the best piano channels here on YT, both on a skill level and the quality+ quantity of the lessons provided. And you really see that people are enjoying the tutorials coz 1. judging by the view count, more than half of the viewers who watched the performance also clicked on the tutorial and by UA-cam numbers, that's amazing and 2. there's nothing but good words in the comments. But I think it's being held back a bit by the lack of advertising. No one can find this hidden gem of a channel on YT coz it's buried under all the other noise. There are 2 distinct thumbnail types that you use, one for the performance and one for the lessons and they tend to be the same 2 camera angles, which is completely fine (Animenz does the same thing), but put the title of the song in the thumbnail. That way, new people who are interested in watching can find it easily when browsing their home page. Right now, if they are scrolling quickly through the page(which is typical) and see just the thumbnail, all the information they can get is: someone playing the piano. They won't know what song/cover you are playing, nor it's arranged by Animenz, nor which anime it's from(coz some ppl just like the anime but don't know the title of the song) and they will just scroll away without seeing the banger performance. For the lessons, just have the title at the top half of the thumbnail and keep the keys at the bottom; and for the performances maybe shift everything a bit further right to the frame and have the title on the left. I know you said you are shooting for quantity by sacrificing just a little bit of quality and I agree. But I think the thumbnail is the bit that you want to spend just a bit of time on, just to help you reach a wider audience/ find the right viewers. Editing wise, you can honestly skip editing entirely, you don't really make mistakes in the lessons and I personally find those bits quite charming (I remember one where you had to step away coz the delivery arrived which was pretty funny XD) Just a side tangent tho, while I do think that $2 is not a steep price at all, do keep in mind that in order for a viewer to be converted to a member, they must fulfil some requirements. 1. have access to a piano, 2. have bought the sheets from Animenz, 3. like a certain piece/ the anime enough to want to learn it, 4. be of a certain level in piano skill where they are good enough to take something from your lessons and learn the piece, 5. have the time/patience required to learn an Animenz arranged piece(coz honestly, its frustrating sometimes... most times... ok every time). Just lacking one of these requirements significantly reduces the chance of a viewer joining the membership. So just as a suggestion, maybe advertise your members-only livestreams a bit more, have a members-only discord channel (idk if you've got one atm) just to sweeten the deal. Coz if someone is resolute in learning a piece, $2 is well worth it. But if someone is just watching it to show a little support(a lot of us do), or just for fun(some do), or just end up not learning the piece(sigh... most do give up...), will they still pay $2 a month? I mean, they should, coz it's a good channel and it's very educational, but most ppl probably won't. Just like how most of us would love to play Animenz, but won't put in the time and work through the frustration XD Anyway, if you end up reading this, I hope I didn't come off as disrespectful or anything, I'm actually quite a big fan and I really enjoy the content you put out (even if I don't end up actually learning the piece most of the time coz of the technical limit and the time/talent required)
