4:52 Tom Villard is the actor waiting for the call. He played on an episode of "The Golden Girls" where he gave Dorothy a job as an instructor at a video game company.
3:51 - Have to wonder if these actually were Flintstone Kids, or if they were just random photos they found. 5:53 - This commercial brings back a lot of memories, as my family always seemed to stay at Marriot Hotels when we traveled back in the day. At least until we discovered Embassy Suites, then that became our hotel of choice. 9:24 - I guess "Ralphie" became a Hershey's kid after his disappointment with Ovaltine. 12:40 - I remember getting the Sears Christmas Catalog every year. That was always something to anticipate.
Re: Hershey's commercial: He actually started appearing in those ads before "A Christmas Story": ua-cam.com/video/L20q1To-rg4/v-deo.htmlm28s Agreed on the Sears Wishbooks, I used to stare at them for hours as a kid. Here's a site with many of them: wishbookweb.com/
Had to do a double-take during the "Carol Burnett" credits, as I was just watching it on MeTV! I wonder how many successes were made from the "Firearms Repair" correspondence courses. Great video!
@ 0:16 the blond guy is Kevin Sorbo known for his role as "Hercules" in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995-1997) in syndication, and "Captain Dylan Hunt" in Andromeda (2000-2005) on the Sci-Fi Channel.
Lavoris-the worst time for someone to have bad breath is spotting you while your'e lifting weights LOL New Love American Style-how many episodes did this run..? Trident-"I would chew this gum over the gum that i've been chewing.."..TV Tropes would put this line in the"Department of Redundancy Department" category
02:48 - it's odd how they went back to the 'song of the south' type aunt jemima in the 80s when I remember the 70's aunt jemima looked like a modern lady
This was their label in the early 70's: i.imgur.com/VDglexG.jpg Are you sure you're not thinking of the modern version on current packaging? i.imgur.com/bnKfV21.jpg I believe this was introduced in the 90's.
I know this is very off-topic, but the fact that there's Flintstones Vitamins in the thumbnail of the volume that came just after SilvaGunner announced he's ending his channel is a very strange coincidence.
Well I did say it was off-topic. Basically SilvaGunner's channel had a long-running gag involving the Flintstones theme song, so seeing something Flintstones related made me think of it. Okay, on-topic, I do love that they sent out an eagle in that Rasin Bran ad.
+fattoler I think it was in his contract; like some rock stars stipulating a certain booze in their ready room or all red m&ms etc, John Denver had some woodland critter pop up

Hunts Ketchup.... the Coy and Vance Duke of the condiment world.
These aired on my birthday! I was turning 5, and I remember a lot of these commercials!
man I miss those days of my life take me back please.
Ralphie: "Ahh absolutely delicious; better than Ovaltine!"
I absolutely loved Flintstones Kids Vitamins as a kid and that jingle is awesome!
I was 12 1/2 years old when these aired

My brother and I couldn't wait for the Wishbooks to arrive and always kept one for a few months to keep looking at things we still wanted.
Spencer for hire looks like awesome show
That EPT commercial was very interesting. Waiting 10 minutes for the results had to be maddening.

A shortened version of that Cheerios commercial was used as a fee plug for game shows.

Chicago was the home of carpet commercial phone jingles! Empire, Luna, and now 282- boom boom - 8 6 hundred!
This is the day I was born.
Sears catalog. Memories of flipping past all the clothes, appliances, sporting goods, etc, to get to the good stuff: video games and toys.
Hunt's Ketchup. The Stephen Baldwin of ketchup.
Spencaaa! Hawk was a serious badass.

+80sCommercialVault yeah, it looks like she lost the do-rag in '89. That was one racist ad campaign, though- " I's in town, honey! " indeed.
New Love American Style was not a daytime success in 1986 on ABC. Channel 7 ABC in CHi-Town was/is WLS.
And we have the telecined Paramount Television logo with the 1979 fanfare!
It aired opposite "The Price is Right" in some cities back then. That's why this version of "Love, American Style" didn't do well in the ratings.
On most of the ABC stations that aired it it did air at 11 or 11:30AM EST. WOF and/or Scrabble aired against it

I don't understand the connection or relevance to this video

Why did I buy this boat?!?
butter syrup?
Yes. It's a pretty common variety of syrup, Mrs. Butterworths even has it in the name.
