- In this video I will show you the various types of ships and give you a brief overview of their characteristics and purpose as well as a short overview of the fishing systems in Archeage 6.0. This is only meant as a general overview and if you have any questions or want to see a more detailed guide on anything talked about in this video, let me know.

Yea, unfortunately its because fishing is constantly changed and a lot of people feel it simply isn't worth covering anymore. I still personally find fishing relaxing even if it isn't amazing profits like it once was.

Yes please, do a fishing guide, but make it for super newbies please. I figured out that lots of Archeage players make guides for archeage players knowing their stuff, but i guess with AAU there will be a lot of starters like myself.
Yea there will be a ton of new players with AA:U first I'm gonna have to fully learn the new fishing system xD I know bait fishing is the same but sport fishing is a little different now. But I will make one soon™

I plan on releasing a housing/land overview likely tomorrow. As for where to grab land I can share what info I have but mostly now its based on if you want a certain climate or purely aesthetic reasons.
Great video, thanks for the info. Really random question hope you can help me narrow down. Is it possible to earn enough gold to buy one of the flying dragons? One video said 200k for the egg, 30k a month to upkeep it...is 30k in gold a month possible with out killing yourself? Such as potion making? Cooking? Really PVE stuff, or do you really need a guild to earn that kind of money? Im sure there are secret ways to earn that but cannot be shared for obvious reasons which i know no one would disclose so just wondering if mastering a basic trade craft like that would do it.
This is somewhat true, it takes a lot of magic amplifiers to create the dragon and then it takes spinal ridges every 30 days, these are gained from red or black dragon. The values arent exact as it depends on the server economy but yes they will be very high and you wont see many of these mounts. Korea has quite a few but they have been on the same server for 5 years. As for getting this amount of gold, it will be easier on legacy due to the p2w and how easy labour is to earn. On unchained it will be harder and take longer I believe to earn the amount of gold or materials. If you can corner a market early or master crafting fast to make endgame gear asap, people will pay massive amounts for it but realistically most players won't ever own one of these mounts and most that do will have a guild behind them or a very specific way to make money. I can also guarantee you wont see one of these mounts for months if not a year.

It's actual name is Growling Yawl, silly. xD And doesn't matter that he didn't mention it. All that changes between the 2, is a slightly larger health pool, and some more passenger seats. If you have the time on your hand to farm a Yawl, you might aswell just farm coin instead, and purchase parts to get a Galleon. Or you can settle for a Frigate that isn't the yawl. probably more economically right.
@@milat9287 Well, it's name is now, the Growling Yawl, however in the old days it was called the "Black Pearl" I still say Charcoal too, I have played this game since 2012, sorry not so quick to names of items being changed.
It's 30 people bounoucy is a pretty big deal, so is the increased health pool.
I got 42 scraps on Aranzeb, before quitting and never bothered on other servers, as like you said the grind was absurd. However the changes to the name, came with the changes to the scraps drops, once NA castle claims work, there is a daily quest to kill the 5 mobs, they have a 100% drop rate of one of the scraps, the Pearl or the Fire siege.
how much gold take per fish ? are more expensiv then old official ?
there 1 small fish was 8 g / medium 12-14 / gargantua 36 +

Hey I just got my clipper design. And I have almost all the mats my fishing at 6.5k with the bs boots should I focus on sport fishing or spend my time bait fishing till 10k prof
The best thing to do is to upgrade your dawns drop boots to tier 2 and then make the strong steel rod and sport fish with those.
How can I get expansion scrolls for my inventory?
They are currently only in the diligence store but will be going down in price soon.
Is it stil worth it start playing AA today?
I'm a little lost- at about 1:20 into the video you speak of a temporary clipper you can get for a limited # of days upon spending 50 proficiency? I'm over 50 proficiency at this point and I don't have this clipper- is there something I'm missing?
Yea this is my mistake, this is based off the PTS where the achievement was not changed. In unchained it is now 500 proficiency instead of 50.
@@Insan3 Okay- I suppose I'm still missing something, I've gotten to over 500 proficiency now, no achievement, no temporary clipper, very much confused. Is it possible it was just a PTS altered achievement to help with testing?
@@DormantGames It should be active on live servers, if it isnt then I can only assume they removed every single vehicle related achievement from the game when they took the lvl 25 car out. In that case i apologise for the false information and gamigo's stupid decision making.

Uhhh, you said you need "handicraft prof" for making those rods, well you don't you need fishing prof.. and also, I don't think you can buy them off the AH, because they bind on pickup.
You usually need fishing prof to use them not craft, if thats changed then I am mistaken.
Can you turn a clipper into a fishing boat? Let's say I want to put a fish finder on it. Then is there a way to store fish on it?
Unfortunately not, the only boat that can store fish is the fishing boat I believe.
Insane That's a shame... I was hoping for a fish crane at least.
So what about the fish scanner? It would help for starters.
Maybe this a dumb question new to the game and I want to know where to get a fishing lure at. I just join a new sever so nothing is in the market place
You craft them with Iron, press O and search "lure" :) And dw bout asking questions I am happy to help

Do you need a certain proficiency to start sport fishing?
No you don't just takes more setup and the higher proficiency the better the profits. Also a full fishing tutorial is on my to do list Its just gonna take a long time to get everything i need
Wait what? Ships can sink when there are too many people on it?
Yes they can, normally you don't notice with the bigger ships but clippers can only support 6/7 people before they lose buoyancy.
Man if I can’t get a housing plot where would I put my compost? A public farm?
I'm not sure compost can go on a public farm but its worth checking. Other than that you'd have to plant it illegally.
Those small ones aren't Galleons. Galleon is a type of ship, and all ships have their type in their name. Eznan Cutter is supposed to be a Cutter forexample, and the Lutesong Junk is a Junk, with Junk-rigging. Growling Yawl is supposed to be a Yawl, obviously. And Enoan Galleon.. Is supposed to be a Galleon. The only Galleon. If you want to call them something, I suggest calling them Frigates. It suggests that they're a battleships, and clearly signifies that they're smaller than a Galleon. As for a Turtle.. Just call it a Destroyer. That's literally what it says it is, when you go on the wheel, and read what it's purpose is, by inspecting it.
Do seed bundles still produce a decent amount of worms or did they nerf it?
From what I know since 3.0 they took worms to make, that being said I don't think ive ever done bundles myself so I wouldn't know.
damn how are we supposed to get 500 gilda for a fishing boat, thats a fuck ton
Yea it's really bad with the current gilda system because we can't do gilda runs to freedich anymore. Best way is 25 per day from hunting requests.
Hey dude what about a completely noob guide to fishing? How do I even get STARTED? I have 5k labor, how can I get started with fishing? I am lvl 30.

This is something I plan to do although for a full guide I need a lot of things in the game that are very expensive and as we no longer have access to PTS i can't get everything I need for guides quickly. Fishing is not something that is simple to start doing like mining or logging. I did a small explanation at the end of the video but the easiest way to start fishing is bait fishing. Buying worm compost and growing it, or buying worms on AH and then using the fishing rod you get given to fish in rivers or oceans, this however is terrible profit. The main way to fish is sport fishing in which you craft bait, buy and craft a chum bucket and then sail into the ocean to find a fishing spot like I showed. From there you would fish exactly the same as the example given in the video, unfortunately without a clipper you won't be doing this at all, and without a fishing boat it isn't great to do either.
@@Insan3 I understand take your time with the guide, thanks for typing stuff out! I looked everywhere for a guide. So basically just to get started, fish in rivers to spend my current labor and it's gonna be a LONG grind to get to good proficiency in fishing/etc. I don't mind if bad profit right now. Also, best way to get a clipper/fishing boat? Do the basic premium arche pass and save up my gilda stars?
@@Danxor If you are set on fishing then yes do bait fishing (fishing with worms) to increase your proficiency, as for gilda, you can buy hunting requests every day at community centres in zones that have a war period. Each of these requests give 1 gilda and ther are 25 per day.
