      I can certainly give my opinion on that in a video once the live servers are up. Earliest it would release would be the 16th. That being said a lot of it is preference based but I can give various options to choose from :)

    Very informative video thanks. Just a question for land rush releasing in 5 hours when I end up putting a house and taking up as much land, is it possible to move housing to free up space for another house placement at a later date or do I have to demolish and compete with people to take the spot back for a better placement?

    Thank you for an informative video! I have a couple of questions though. Is 16x16 scarecrow available via Blue Salt quests only? Can I obtain them any other way? And how do I get mats of wood and stone? Thanks again 😁

      Only through blue salt at the moment, you can also upgrade the 8x8 to a 16 farm. In legacy you could buy more farms from the cash shop but we don't have them atm because it would be p2w. Stone is through mining in certain spots of the world and wood is from cutting down trees, most of which are planted illegally atm.

      Other than old videos from when it was introduced I'm not sure how much content there is on it because for the old player we view it as simplified. I can try to help by giving you some info if you let me know what you need to know.

    I have a question about skill trees:
    If i pick my class by creating my character, can i change it to another class, examlpe: Meele to Mage?
    I didnt try changing the 1st Skill tree on the PTS

      Yes at any time you can go to a nui or skill manager and swap out any of the trees you like to make a different class. Just be aware that each tree levels independently and swapping melee to mage will require different gear to be effective.

    My friend and I are going Alchemy and Cooking. What east side location would you suggest? I saw somewhere Rokhala has something unique about it for Alchemy?

      As far as I know nowhere has special alchemy stuff, i'd personally suggest a temperate zone or an aqua farm + manor house.

    To upgrade a house that is currently built like a thatched farm house, do you have to demolish it first and upgrade the blueprint to does the house just upgrade on the spot?

      I should have shown the process in the video but all my houses were already upgraded xD. You upgrade it on the spot, there is a spot on the house usually near the door where you can view info about the property. In this window there is a remodel button where you can choose to upgrade and it will ask for various construction materials. I will say they are very very expensive to upgrade and its not something to worry about too fast unless trying to rush a profession and corner a market.

    For the community centers, are they in a static areas or do they spawn near high dense player housing areas?

      They are in set locations within each zone, some are near housing but others aren't, just gotta find them.

    Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm brand new to the game and can't really figure this out. If i place my blueprint or whatever the stage is before actually building the house, will that stay as a claimed piece of land until I can get enough materials? Because at this point I genuinely don't know how im supposed to gather wood or stone in the amounts required to build one and the gold price is insane to try and buy enough of the materials. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated

      If the house is placed but unbuilt then it is claimed and will remain so. The only way it will "unclaim" is if tax is overdue for a week. However the ghost house when choosing where to place it is not claimed.

    Dang, nice video, I watched everything! Hey I also got a question, at land lock, I placed my 16x16 and 8x8, but then everyone around had claimed their land and surrounded me and now I don't have enough room for the house, Am I screwed? What are my options in this situation?... :(

      Hey, thanks for checking out the video hopefully it helped somewhat :). To answer your question, yes and no. Unless the players around you don't pay their tax or won't sell you the land space (which will be expensive) then you will not be able to place your house in that area. You could remove your farm and try to quickly swap the land but this is risky and not necessarily worth it. Your best bet this early would be to try find another spot for the house in the same location but obv away from your other farms, if nothing is available then I would say try talking to the people around you and seeing how cooperative they will be.

    I have a question does it matter which faction you are in when it comes to where you build your house?

      Not really as housing zones in areas that do not go to war are peace zones meaning you cannot't be attacked. That being said say you were East and built a house in Two Crowns, anywhere outside of the zoned housing area, you could be attacked.

      There is a quest in Solisa, Halcyona after lvl 30. It will have a green leaf icon above it. The 16x16 comes from a similarly marked quest from the hero hall after level 50.

    Hello, I'm wondering if for someone like me who is a very casual player, who will take weeks to get to lvl 30... nevermind 50... do you think there's any chance of getting land for farming that is NOT in a PvP zone... or am I destined to use public farms?

      Level 30 can be done within 1 hour of playtime by only doing the green quests. You can definitely get land, you just need to get lvl 30 and do your 8x8 quest, then you could also buy a 15 gilda house to place.

    How can I make enough tax cert to place down my 16x16 that I bought for Gilda. I have 15 tax cert that I got from completing the 8x8 quest

      You get 50 from your 16x16 quest but if you cant do that you need to place and build your 8x8 farm and then craft 5 for every 300 labor spent.

    What do you do if you're a bit late to the game and there isn't any building space left?

      At this point if you really want land you have 3 options. The best option is to just look for any land anywhere and place what you can, you might find some space as people have quit. If there is literally 0 space anywhere then the 2nd best option is to wait a little bit for the buildings that haven't had tax paid for 7 days by players who have quit to expire and disappear, you can check when buildings are scheduled to be demolished and be there to replace it. The last option is to ask about buying land off of players that you see aren't using theirs, however this will be very expensive even if its unused land as players will want the gold.

    Am i seeing that right 3,600 labor for 70 tax certs?
    And just one last question, i seem to be only able to make 2 characters for my account, if they are both on the same server do they share the same labor? And the only way to have multiple accounts earning separate labor would be to buy the game again with a new account correct?

      At 0 construction proficiency 5 tax certs are 300 labor, that's why you wont see people with tons of houses at land unlock. You do get 65 from your two farm quests though. And yes at launch we are limited to 2 characters per account and your characters will share the same labor pool. You do however have a seperate labor pool on the opposite region. Hence why it is a good idea to reserve spots on the opposing region to "trade labor". And yea, make a new glyph account and buy the game again and run an alt for more labor, just make sure to follow their policy on alts otherwise you could end up with 0 accounts :)

      @@MerchantIvoryfilms The current plan for myself and others is to either trade labor for labor so you would say process 4k labor of something for someone on NA in exchange for the same amount of labor on EU, or to use labor to get gold on NA and then swap that gold to an NA player for their gold on EU. Ofc this works vice versa EU > NA/NA > EU. That being said some people think they may have both regions on the same labor pool, we will have to wait and see.

      You can in some, only zones labeled as luxury can't have a 16x16.

    I am totally new to archeage and am very curious if this whole land rush thing is really necessary for a total beginner like me. I assume that a lot of players will leave AAU after approximately four weeks of playtime, like players did in WoW Classic and other games, because its hyped up for a certain amount of time and they dont really want to play it.
    So i am actually not sure if i should be part of the land rush on the 19th or just chill, learn the game and afterwards try to build up my Properties. Do you have any advice on this?

      It won't be worth it to find the best of the best location for new players tbh but land is still very important. At the very least place your 8x8 and 16x16 farms down so you can plant things if you want to. Yes players will quit and land may free up but you want your land grouped up and the hardcore players will try to snap up any land that becomes available because it can be so useful when used correctly.

      Should also add, if you find you dont want your land after claiming it, you can sell it to another player for a large sum of gold.

      @@Insan3 +1 to this. I always recommend to new players that they should place their land in the populated areas so they can sell it, especially if they don't know what to use their land for anyway

      I believe it would be 90 certs so you would need to place an 8x8 first to make more tax causing the total to be 120 tax certs.

      @@BiggieShonik 90 tax for both 24x24 houses. Each 24 is 45 tax and your 1st 2 buildings don't increase in costs.

      At a stonemason work bench it takes 100 stone brick for a stone pack.

      I briefly looked over all trade pack prices when testing my run on pts but I barely remember any of them off the top of my head. There are plenty of spreadsheets around with the data on though.

      @@GofioZ Yea that's a good price but I can see it being camped a lot so you would only have the peace window. You've also got to factor in the labor costs of larders or gold costs of purchasing them + mats. Personally I favour the ahnimar gilda packs which are 40g to two crowns.

      Yea, unfortunately I had guild members who disconnected at land rush and didn't get their ideal spot, luckily on halnaak the queue wasn't too bad when compared to some other servers. But hey, imo it beats hackers everywhere teleporting to open land. You will see space open up as people realise they can't afford the tax or they quit.

      generally the ability to securly place any crop, sappling, animal, etc.. the ability to have special workbenches and furniture which help you with profession related task (more time efficient, etc.). Illegal farming isn't really that good since many people will search for them.

      Land is used to mainly plant various items on (plants, trees, animals) as well as store items and furniture. Some quests also require you to place items within your house. On top of that you can earn gold from land within a zone. Some houses can be upgraded and you can also place regal crafting benches which unlock higher tier crafting recipes. There are also resident packs and fertiliser packs that can only be made by residents of a certain zone or at a trade manor respectively.

      On halnaak it isnt easy, especially because people block land using "smart" land placements. Not sure about the other servers.

      Nah it's not bad necessarily, it depends what you want to do. Just be aware that the housing zones aren't pvp zones but outside of them will be.

      yes you can use building management titles to put your house up for sale to anyone or to a specific player and you can set the price to anything so if you want to give it to a friend just set it to 1 copper and that only they can buy it.

    im on the wintertrial right now and would looove to see the housing part in this game, it has such potential and looks amazing tbh, but the fact that u loose ur house after 1 weeks afk is instant killer for me. i want to be able to go bk and build on my house and decorate without fearing loosing it ffs. Another great housing mmo ruined by this greedy mechanic. oh well

      It is likely they will still be in the diligence store which is where I showed them. With the changes to the archepass limits you will be able to get your first 45 diligence coins before land unlock.

    Land grab begins and people bugging out and being disconnected. I myself was sitting on the server for 5 hours with everything in inventory ready to grab the land I wanted. No competition for the spot I wanted. Message pops up announcing land is open to claim. I go to set my 8x8 and get the same message in red telling me land in this zone won't be available for claim until the given date. In other words I was bugged and unable to place down and claim land. Had my tax certs and my 1 lumber, actually had plenty more and it didn't matter. There have been so many techinal issues with this game it is pitiful. Queues HOURS long to get in and play for a while only to be kicked by a quest turn in or some other issue to wait in queue for a few hours again. And now the bugs and dc's on land rush day. Archeage Unchained claimes to be non P2W. So far that is true. But now it's just luck to see who gets to actually stay online long enough to accomplish anything.

      Archeage has always had its share of bugs and issues, even the korean version. I'm pretty sure everyone that plays it must hate themselves just a little to go through it over and over again xD. The quest turn in DC's is due to a memory leak in the client and ofc the longer in queue the longer the game is open and so the memory leak becomes worse. We were lucky and got our housing down after being awake and logged in for 24 hours but I know some friends and guild members that got disconnected. It sucks for players that land has had issues but for me I personally don't feel too bad about it because I'm used to archeage land grabs where hackers teleport and insta place land etc. I think currently the biggest problem is the high population causing very very high queues on specific servers, but this will lesson overtime as people quit.

      Yes they definitely can! Especially when you also start taking into account alts too which have a seperate tax calculation. This is why land unlock was so important because everyone had somewhat of an equal chance to secure land right away.

    Too bad the Unchained servers went to hell with all the exploits. It could had been so good.
    Now its good only for the people which sell 500.000 - 1.000.000 gold on a monthly basis for real cash. Thats non-p2w for you.

      @@decoyemail9766 Well.. if you never played archeage before it is worth buying it on a single account. The grind will bore you well before the exploiters kick in as they changed the game from sandbox to themepark in many ways.
      I've played it like 4 times, it is too time consuming anyway, and they made it even more grindy. Honestly ..no wonder people took "shortcuts" aka used hacks and exploits.
      Fair warning, game is not fair in any way, try to explore that is where most fun still is.
