You missed the point of daggers: Proc, proc, proc and long synergy chains. So, are your procs and synergy more important then raw damage(deathwish)? If not, don't go for daggers.

I took a Greatsword instead of Spear/Axe, because the attackspeed just felt "smoother" for me. I hope it wont gimp me later, but in the end its only 10% dmg tradeoff for 10% more attackspeed and 0.1sec faster gcd

I strongly disagree on your opinion about daggers. I tried daggers with the new swiftblade. I combined them with archery and shadowplay and created a death machine that would kill anything in a blink of an eye. Going stealth is critical as this is one of the main ways to close the distance to the opponent.
When videos say don’t get rid of your starting gear because that gets upgraded to hiram later do they mean the gear you have when you first make your character or the first set you get from questing
I would also like an answer to this one, since executioner is meant to be a melee counter which in most cases it means you wont need slashing weapons, then its Longspear/Greatsword for 2H and Shortspear+Axe/sword? this is my main issue, some ppl say Executioner biS is 2H but @Belamy Prime says its a matter of choice and ping, i really would like to go DW because of the parry agains archers and my over 100ms lactency but im worried about the offhand, axe or sword?
@@TheVPulse Its just about making more burst or really fast animation, if your weapons arent really upgraded you are going to lack on damage as DW against many people. Also DW gives you the chance to swap beetwen slashing and piercing on right hand by playing shortspear-katana or katana-shortspear
I don't know if that ever got changed, but a few years ago I was looking up wiki's to find out what weapon I'd prefere and what effect each weapon type has. I believe I've read that Longspears had a chance to "greatly reduce enemy's physical defense". I bleieve I've seens then number of 7000 armor beeing tossed around, but can't really be bothered to search old forums in hopes to find it again. But I can remember getting some insanely high crits on full plate tanks that outgeared me, so I believe that those numbers could be close to real. I'm not sure if they reworked how weapon types work, but I'm gonna rock a longspear in unchained again. Hopefully not to many people pick up on it. It kinda feels nice beein the underdog and the unfavored weapon ^^

Break a piece or two to have infusions for this method. Create a new chest piece and make it arcane with one blue. Crush it and get back two greens. Create a new wrist and make it arcane with one green then use a scroll on it. Put one green and two blue into to make it heroic. Crush it to make one green and three blues. Have fun
what about creating a 2nd set of gear, how does one go about doing that? lets say you got a full agi set but want to go melee/str. How do you get more scrolls and infusions?
If you want to change sets before hiram (from archer to melee), you can use an ADVENTURER's evenstone (caps for emphasis, as there is a different type of evenstone you don't want to use) to get back your infusions and scrolls. This will delete your current piece and let you buy another one from the weapon/armor merchants. If you want 2 sets (i.e. keep both), you will have to farm hiram gear in auroria to get the secondary set.

I'm thinking DW Wraithsmite Axes will be best for endgame. I'm fairly new and only have PTS experience, but the 2 set seems really strong. Is there a reason why people don't run them? Can they not be upgraded to the highest tier or they're too hard to acquire maybe?

here is your answer folks about attack speed. Higher attack speed benefits on auto attacking, while slower atk speed but heavy hitter benefits from skill damage.

As he said, it is your choice. There are differences between the sword and the spear but of course it's win-lose and lose-win. There isn't 'best' weapon in archeage. It depends on what are you going for
Found this while I'm battling the login queue boss. I can't decide if I want to play a Blighter or a Darkrunner. Also not sure what weapons I want to use. Is a DW Blighter viable, or just go sword and board?
no p2w. and a company that is actually listening too us. changes being made on the fly such as no costume gifting because players can buy them and sell them for gold, they changed it so you can't autorun and afk like a day after launch. they're heavily regulating servers to make sure all of them have high populations and replying to people with questions in discord.
Sux they launch unchained and then ya can't play due to only 3 servers with one hour que times. They better fix this or manny will cut their losses and move on
Historically archeage is the same as most MMORPG, we either deal with long queue times at launch and have a healthy population a bit down the line or have like 20 servers with no queue now and have dead servers 2-3 months down the line
Ya still gotta find a happy medium. I dont mind waiting in que for 5 10 min tops. Why not one mega server that grows or shrinks according to population. Kinda like GW2. Not sure if that would work on this game tho
There was an obsidian spear which gave healing power and allowed you to make some kind of melee dps with self HP sustain not sure if this is still a thing
With good ping it might be something like dagger - axe. You will get the dmg from the axe for most of ur swiftblade attacks but with an insane attack speed

Because you need for farm hiram gear at endgame, it doesn't matter which weapons I picked at the start and I can change later?
They can be transformed into hiram, try to pick your class the second you start the game

Wait i just tested DW vs 2H Spears and actually you do parry with both so whats the point of DW beside faster skill animations?

All weapons had their unique procs, they got switched out for this system

Unless archery is one of their 3 skill trees, they likely never actually use it. All players will have a bow equipped for the stats.

shield are perfectly fine - with a hiram shield as mage i would go Int, Evasion & Magic attack rolls

S&S blighter is awesome and you'll feel like you're playing a bit differently because everyone and their dog will be playing Darkrunner.
