      Sweet truck man!
      Seems like everybody does the .50 cal bullet antenna (I got it too).
      I went mostly AFE with my truck.
      1. AFE- Throttle body spacer
      2. AFE- Cold air intake
      3. AFE- Y pipes w/o cats
      4. AFE- Atlas 4" exhaust
      &
      5. Turbosmart- Blow off valve
      I'm looking to getting an oil catch can, ugraded intercooler, and tune the truck.
      It's already a different beast compared to stock but I want this truck to be at its best.
      Let me know about any other upgrades you do.

    $55 for a half tank at 93 said that’s expensive. Geez Lord I would love to pay $55 for a half tank at 93 but I guess that depends if you have the larger 36 gallon tank or not and 339 for premium is a damn good price.

  • @_E_B_

    What some people fail to realize...decreasing line pressures and letting the gears slip with the tolerance allowed by ford and most manufacturers to make transmissions "shift smoothly" is why transmissions dont last long anymore.
    If anything...a performance tune that makes the line pressures increase and the trans gears lock in more aggressive...all of that is actually helping to increase the life of the transmission.

  • @kl90210
    @kl90210 4 роки тому +4

    FYI- if your shifts are abrupt with the tune, you did not get a good tune. there is plenty of logic in the tuning parameters of TCU to moderate shift firmness based on engine load. most tuner shops do not know how to properly tune the TCU with the ECU. I have no problems with shift abruptness during normal driving and with high performance tune. Additionally, if you are not putting your foot in the the throttle and in normal drive mode, normal driving, your performance tune should not be using any more fuel than a stock tune. learn a bit about EFI tuning and tuning maps, and you will understand why. this is not the golden old days of carb vehicles and linear fuel delivery. BTW nice looking F150.

    I would have to disagree, depending on the tune you use. Mercedes lost this battle in 2009 when they tried that and ending up paying. Where I agree is that tuning an Eco-boost is problematic due to the cam sensors and the direct-inject pre-fire issues they have. Get the Coyote, at 200k your bottom end will be bulletproof whereas the Eco will need a total new rotating assembly.

    My Omega flex tune on my 2018 5.0 makes the truck shift nice, not too aggressive and better than stock which seemed to often not know what gear it was supposed to be in. Now if I put it in SPORT mode, then the shifting gets very firm and abrupt as you state, but in regular mode it's a nicer daily driver. All depends on your tuner..they can adjust it however you want it to be.

    bruh, 49 seconds into a video.......and there is a first FALSE statement. "Tuning your F150 will void your warranty" Uhm, no, it DOES NOT void your warranty. I just got hooked up with a "too good to be true" at first tune, but after researching it and getting in contact with some legit users, I am goin to become a retailer of this tune. And guess what? It DOES NOT void ANY warranty. Now, the matter might be of you chaps not knowing about this tune, just like i didnt before. But after buying an 04 Lariat and driving for 2 days........I VERY quickly realized that I am not willing to pay for fuel for this heartless thing. i averaged 33.2L/100km strict stop and go, needs spark plugs, i am suspecting tires being low, but anyways, if I do plugs and tires, it will still be rape at the pump. Reason why I did by the Lariat, is because i had one few years back, and that one burned 12.8L/100km, due to both manifolds being blown I guess in PERFECT spots and CE light was one for both O2 sensors with "running lean" codes. But nobody believed me the mileage I was getting, but I didnt care, it was awesome. So, back to the point. Ans hey, I do not intend to bash You here by any means, or to market this tune. I will post video and share actual results, if it works, this tune should come stock really.

    Get in good with your dealer. It doesn’t matter if it’s tuned or not. It’s up to the dealer if they except to do the warranty work. All manufactures ask for on major “warranty claims”. Is pictures of the damage and info on vehicle. It’s up to the dealer to tell the manufacture if it’s been tuned or not. A dealership can re flash your ecu. They can work around almost anything the manufacturer wants to know via phone or email.

    Love the truck, but Uh well… anytime you put a lift on a truck you’re supposed to upgrade at minimum rotors and pads. Also when doing this put a higher gearing in to take the load off your transmission. You are adding more rotating mass to the drive line and losing a lot of power. No way that truck is putting 430 to the pavement.

    After warranty do whatever you want to do and in warranty I agree. I had a 07 F150 5.4 CAI superchips tune on 91 woke this thing up but it was bought used and out of warranty. Here in Canada the POS Justin is taxing fuel a insane amount went back to 87 and de tuned a daily driver. Upgraded to a 2017 5.0 this thing day and night from the 07 the ride and the power 87 more HP yeah progress. Yeah out of warranty you know the more you drive it it starts to feel slow but hell keeping it stock a factory ram air intake yeah it has a intake silencer but who cares I could put a K&N filter in but at 57 swapping out a filter is the ticket. Just keep up the maintenance a daily driver stock will get you to work every day It was made this way for a reason a daily driver not a sport truck you want a sport truck get a Shelby.

    Nice truck Q, just bought a sct bdx tuner for my 2014 f150 Ecoboost 3.5. bought the truck used with a 4 year warranty. Having second thoughts about installing it. If something happens to the truck will it void the warranty? Even though it's a used truck. It's pretty quick now , cat back exhaust and roush cold air intake. Installed by previous owner.

    • @KickinItWithQ
      @KickinItWithQ  4 роки тому

      miketr732 it depends. If ford can prove the tuned caused the issue then it will void warranty. Now if you AC stops working or window won’t roll down that you should be covered. Tune shouldn’t impact that. Most warranties only cover powertrain components so you have to see what yours covers. If transmission goes and they can prove the tune caused it then you probably out of luck.
