AJ is happy Meadow finally cares about the environment.
Hybrid and electric cars, alternative energy equipment and sources etc, often still require components that require fossil fuel in order mine and build them. I also wonder where these trucks are manufactured and if they follow emission regulations. For e.g. GM has plants all over the world. We often practice nimbyism (not in my backyard) here in the USA, where we just outsource out "dirty" manufacturing to other countries and pay their workers low wages.
Dude I miss them so much damn
@@stophatingeachother9762 Not to mention AJ was driving a gas guzzling BMW M3
“That’s the cool part: 23 highway…that’s not so bad!”
I remember David Chase, when asked about the fates of Meadow and AJ, he said that Mead would most likely end up a mob wife, just like her mom. And that AJ would probably only ever become a small time producer.
I would love to see AJs subspecies
I’d rather see Carmine Jr’s “South Beach Strumpets” series.
“a deep dive into a company preying on peoples nostalgia to sell trucks”
It's a bit cynical of you to suggest that people only like The Soranos for nostalgia. I'd argue it's a genuinely good show. People like it for reasons beyond that they saw it in the past.
So what if they did? It was great seeing them
though it was as faithful as it could be, even directed by the original creator
When I heard that theme song I thought I had woken up in 1999! It was wonderful.
I appreciate the fan service but all it is is an attempt to play on the nostalgia of a better time period in order to sell trucks.
Exactly
The irony being that Tony felt he was coming in on the tail end of something
And the commercial had nothing interesting in it at all. Just like the many craps of Newark. Chase is now a has been sell out
@@rman52 exactly
I read an article that the jewelry that meadow wears is Tony's.
AJ didn’t survive.. AJ is dead.. in the commercial, that’s AJ’s ghost that Meadow is interacting with… she’s saying goodbye to him….
The jewelry that she wears isn’t actually Tony’s… it’s symbolic more than anything.. Tony, Carmella, and AJ…
Tony is the ring on her right hand middle finger.. Carmella is the ring next to her middle finger.. and the diamond bracelet represents AJ…. They all died..
Meadow is the only one that survived.. as she was struggling to park her car when they all got hit.
@@alarikaguilar7543you watched the same video I did
Am I gonna watch a deep dive into a car commercial? Damn right
This is actually a pretty shallow dive, just pointing out a few superficial things. Another channel did a 25 min deep dive looking at all the hidden details included, it's pretty mind blowing
@@NotQuiteFirstlink ?
@@kdaddy310 ua-cam.com/video/cWT5Rdy6MqM/v-deo.html
@@kdaddy310 In case YT auto-deletes the link I posted, the channel is called Scenic Media, it's easy to search for "sopranos super bowl commercial analysis"
The commercial just proved to me that Tony was whacked
2:54 In the opnening credits, Tony always drives his red Chevrolet Suburban. The car in de opening sequence never changes to the black and than white Cadillac Escalade.
thanks for stating! I was gonna comment on that until I saw your comment
"heh-heh"
Walnuts, Paulie
The commercial is brilliant because it seems heartwarming--AJ and Meadow are still alive and together, but it might also be subtly sad. The tragedy of The Sopranos is that children repeat the lives of their parents, so that Meadow, even with a Columbia degree, might become involved with organized crime and AJ becomes Little Carmine. The commercial leaves that possibility open, as Meadow is an updated version of her father.
No one would of taken AJ seriously, look what happened to Jackie Jnr. Meadow may have weaselled her way into a few scams here and there she would never be more than an associate.
@@joeyc8622 Thanks. But nobody took Little Carmine all that seriously. Also, The Sopranos hints that the old world of the mob is fading away--the mom-and-pop stores they shake down are being replaced by corporate-owned businesses, Little Italy is becoming smaller and smaller. Organized crime may be run more by people like Patrick Parisi and Meadow Soprano.
@@n.dhingra7765 Also Little Carmine had quite a following and was pretty successful.
@@n.dhingra7765 Organized crimes is run by people like Meadow WTF. You think spoiled suburban kids can compete with Russian, Asian or Arab gangsters aswell as the remains of her farthest organisation. Tony Soprano was only one person suitable for the top spot amongst how many gangsters. We all loved Tony but let’s be real his administration lasted about ten years tops. Get your head out of your ass and put down the crack pipe.
@@joeyc8622 Little Carmine--"Brainless the Second," in Tony's estimation--was only successful because of his last name and as a front for Rusty Millio. (The theories that he was a secret genius seem farfetched.) As for Meadow, she was once a spoiled suburban kid, but The Many Saints of Newark portrays Tony as a fairly soft kid who grew up in the suburbs, too ("half a pussy," as Christopher narrates).
Fun commercial, nice little bit of closure, doesn't step on the toes of the finale. Very good, well done, very allegorical. I have the sudden urge to buy an electric truck now
Baa-baa-baa .
This is true. I wish to know nothing more
She also has a wedding ring.
Looks like her and Patrick really did get married
This was really cool!!!! I, of course, did not watch the Super Bowl, therefore I never saw this commercial. Thank you for bringing it to my attention😀
Meadow mob lawyer now thats a show I would watch
Great video bro bro 💪🏽
So it was Meadow and AJ together who planned the hit which not only took out Tony ... but Carmella too. Wow
AJ didn’t survive.. AJ is dead.. in the commercial, that’s AJ’s ghost that Meadow is interacting with… she’s saying goodbye to him.
@alarikaguilar7543 I watch the same clip there all died but meadow.
Very funny I literally watch that episode last night when AJ talks about hybrid cars the conversation of the future and it really stuck out to me and then you put it on a video today soprano minds think alike!
Aj is the new bosh of this family
And all his men are loyale
Meadow finally parked the car correctly.
did anyone notice Meadow is wearing Tony's pinky ring?
The jewelry that Meadow is wearing isn’t actually Tony’s… it’s symbolic more than anything..
All of them are dead including AJ and Carmella… in fact.. there’s a theory about it on UA-cam.. about this being AJ’s ghost in the commercial… it’s got a lot of logic behind it.
I was pretty shocked when I saw the commercial. Bahrs restaurant Is only a couple of miles down the street from where I'm at right now. I drive right by Bahs and the whitecaps house all the time.
This commercial is more emotional and satisfying than Many Saints wish it could be.
I cried, screamed and came when i saw this commercial. The Sopranos is much entire life and identity so I loved it more than any of you. I win.
Lmao
I think Meadow took over for Paulie
Can you park this car on leafs without it blowing up?
Bittersweet. And very beautiful.
The commercial made me cry.
I've seen several stunads say "the whole family was wiped out!" but that's just a ridiculous and ass ignorant thing to say. A. In the show universe it's said "families don't get touched".
B. Throughout all the history of LCN families absolutely do not get touched unless that family member is in the life too or they are accidentally hit because they weren't aware they were present.
In fact, in most cases I'd even say the way Phil and Tony were killed went against this rule and the fact that Phil died in front of his family is probably the only reason they did T in front of his, it couldn't stand.
So for anyone who isn't a complete and total clown it's obvious that the only one killed was T.
And yes, Tony is dead and there is no debate. Chase has given us every possible clue just about without just blurting out "Tony is dead!". Even on Talking Sopranos when Steve said he thinks he's still alive Chase said something like "I'm sure there's a world where that's true" meaning in the Sopranos cannon world that is not true and TONY IS DEAD. Buonanima.
Families don’t get touched????
Never forget….. we bend more rules than the Catholic Church.
They whacked Phil's Gumar and killed him in front of his wife and grand kids. @@alarikaguilar7543
The opening has Tony driving his Suburban, not his Escalade. This is common knowledge. Comon man.
Correct
Totally missed the Ducks!!! Omg
Interesting thing to note about the commercial’s geography. We see Meadow driving south on the turnpike to get to Bahr’s, however, when she is on the bridge right before arriving, she is going north (normally it’s a straight shot from the turnpike to the parkway and then to this location). Not a huge deal, just something odd I noticed as someone from the area.
I just hope this is a hint to something more, like a show or another movie.
You basically did this same video already :P hope you get some Chevy bucks for this one .. much love to you Kino ..
Good to see Meadow going electric because we have to break our dependence on foreign oil.
Meadow and AJ come back for another pop-CORN-head- _line!_
The duck, possibly have been deliberately done?? Are you serious?
Of course they are!!!
Every frame of this ad have been checked by a large groupe of people.
Ducks!
That bahrs restaurant is delicious
Went there a few times
The only Easter eggs are the big gold ones Ford put in David Chase’s basket to make this ad.
She broke her dependence on foreign oil
2:53 Tony drives a Chevrolet Suburban.. not an Escalade.
1:59.. 2:35.. AJ didn’t survive.. AJ is dead.. in the commercial, that’s AJ’s ghost that Meadow is interacting with… she’s saying goodbye to him.
Meadow was in law school to become a defense atty, AJ was into some type of production work. It would be cool to see a spin off of those two in the new era. I think Tony was whacked. Meadow is a mob defense atty, I don’t see her as a mob wife, her personality is too strong. I can see AJ in the entertainment business doing some crooked contract deals. This is just my theory. Carmella still has her nose in the air😂
Isn’t satriales not even there anymore?
It makes sense she would be driving a f-150 lightning you have to be in the mafia to afford one of these brand new
As she takes the sun glasses off of her face, you can see she is wearing Paulie's pinky ring on her middle finger.
Is Satriales a real place?
Well there's a different clip that says that everybody died a the table, and because she couldn't park right it saved here life. Why is AJ dressed in black driving a 1985 car that would not good for the environment, there a clip you should watch ? Sorry iam trying to remember the site .
I think you should change your name to Sir Prano
Or… the truck already has that feature… that’s looking in way to deep into a commercial.
I guess i missed it, was too busy darning socks to watch the phony bowl.
It always annoyed me how A.j. accidentally blows his car up after expressing how he was going to catch some Slack for polluting the air then is rewarded a movie script and a new BMW to boot
An assassin wouldn’t leave the family alive to testify against him. This further proves Tony lived that night. Not that whether he lived or died there was the point of the final scene.
The guy who killed Phil left his wife alive. Families are supposed to be off limits.
@@aloneinthedark99 Like I say, whether he lived or died that night wasn’t even the point of the scene. It was a comment on how his life would always be. Until one day it was his turn. So there’s every chance that he went home just fine that night, but has been killed, or jailed at some point in the last 15 years.
heh he said superball
Did they establish that the actors were portraying their Sopranos characters? Couldnt' they simply be the two actors paying homage to a show they once were on?
Ok who do you think whacked Tony? NY Mob for revenge on Phil Leotardo?
It wasn’t a Escalade . It was a suburban. You should have known that. Being a sopranos so expert on the sopranos
He’s just a kid!
What they Need to do with Meadow and AJ Soprano do what 50Cents Crime Drama Series PowerbookII Type Series like they did with Omari Hardwicks Character of Ghost in Power His Son now Tariq has his own dealings in the Drug Underworld on Starz PowerBook Series as Well as His Friend Tommy Egan of Power Now in his Own PowerBook Series Called Force that seems to have Some good Numbers after the Original Starz Series Power Concluded in 2019! Now Sopranos Can do a New Generation Sopranos Series dealing with Various Drug Dealing Crimelords and Hustlers like the saying With Tony's Kids like the apple doesn't fall to far from the Tree type Storyline with AJ and Meadow Soprano dealing in the Drug Crime world now beyond there Father Tony Soprano's old Organized Crime days as Italian Mob era is now a thing The past Now dealing with mixed Organized Crime and Crimelord types like the same Scenario like On Starz Original Series Power
Electronic cars won't work because if the power goes off those cars would be useless
I didn't like the ad because it didn't answer the question of how much time Phil did in prison.
Very allegorical
I would like to see a sequel with Meadow as boss, doing crypto scams and stuff
Hell no. Get the fuck out of here.
fuck no
And me at three, also disagrees. NO
Everybody's got a god damn opinion?!
the actress is too busy. besides, the character wouldn't need to go underground to prosper.
If he didn’t die at the restaurant, then it was later or possibly in prison. But the best theories point to him getting it in the diner
This is one of those long winded videos. The commercial was just that, a commercial. Stop making it bigger than it was.
No one is going to watch a show with just AJ and Meadow.
AJ is dead. This commercial confirms it.
AJ is dead. She’s letting go

First
Dude you missed kinda much
It is not that deep lol
I'm a 20 year + since Jan 15 1999 Sopranos fan who loves the show to death but this is just a dumb car commercial nothing more or less
It makes no sense to have the theory that Tony is dead when David Chase has already came out and said Tony didn't die
You couldn’t make the Sopranos today. The Many Saints of Newark proves that. Too much forced diversity would ruin it.
