Tony didn't send Paulie and Chris to the woods to execute Valirey. Paulie was simply sent to Valiry's apartment to collect a payment, and it was supposed to be a friendly encounter (Valirey was a capo or higher under Slava). Paulie stupidly picked a fight with him leading to them going to the woods to bury the (still living) body.
@@earnthis1 It's great because it went nowhere lol. In the end, the money Paulie was supposed to pick up was in the car that is now missing haha. One simple task and it turns into this mess- two assholes lost in the woods and a missing interior decorator.
@is1 it was the height of the paulie-chrissy rivalry and the official start to tony's distrust of paulie that pushed paulie away until the last episode when he had no one else. And the start of bobby being more than just junior's babysitter too. Also it's good worldbuilding to have them interacting with a few other "mafias". Edit: Also I'd like to add that this was the first time that I truly felt like this glorified crew was completely out of their depth more times than not and were too panicky and messy to not fall apart eventually. It was good to have a joke episode show Paulie's and Chrissy's biggest fuckup.
34:38 James Gandolfini once said the weight gain came from eating the food on set. The food was so good they would sometimes have to tell the cast to slow down during takes because they were running out of food for the scene.
If you watch restaurant/meal scenes in tv and film, the actors rarely actually eat. They might drink, but they usually just push food around on their plates. With so many takes and re-shoots, the actors don't want to bloat on food and put on weight between productions. There's an English comedy called Friday Night Dinner that ran for several years. The majority of the show is set around the dinner table, yet in all those years you never once see anyone actually consume food.
@@thedoveston6781 I know, and it's really obvious when you watch shows like The Big Bang Theory. However, that didn't apply to the actors on the Sopranos.
They actors just said in a 25 reunion show that they would eat the food and have to slow down because they got full , Carmela- Edie falcon would apparently chew gum to make it look like she’s chewing food .

one small thing: 'members only' is the name of the company that made that particular style of jacket in the 80s. it doesn't say anything on the back, it's referring to the name on a small piece of cloth on the upper left pocket. it became an iconic style of jacket that resembled no others at the time.
I personally think the cat was Christopher. Something about Paulie disliking the cat even though it wasn’t doing anything reminded me of when Paulie would try to get under Chris’s skin. This could be proven more with the scene where the cat lays near Paulie, showing how at the end of the day, whether they went through any turmoil or anything, they were always going to be family and near each other yk?
Tony also says something like "this cat caught a rat in the basement" when they are in the safehouse, Chris told Tony about Adriana in his basement, and at the end he stares at Paulie, because he's a rat, since he tried to betray Tony for johnny sac, and may be behind his killing in the dinner at the end
Well Chris is in hell, and we know what his hell is after he shortly passed over after his hit. I don’t think Ade went to hell, so personally I think the cat is Ade, which is why it stares at Chris and Tony stares at it. Paulie being unnerved because he’s so paranoid about the supernatural and could probably feel the presence of the cat being odd I don’t remember how Sil was about the cat, or if he was even there/acknowledged it so I can’t say anything abt his relation to her death
“Throws his mom under the bus.” I mean she was undeniably a monster. She was a selfish vacuum, absorbing and demolishing all joy and optimism of those around her. Tony attributing his nature to her actually makes sense.
I heard that The Russian Valery actually survived the incident out in the Pine Barrens. After that he moved to Liberty City and changed his name to Ray Bulgarin and became the boss of the Russian Mob...
I just realized in the restaurant at the end of the series, there’s like a mural with football players on in. It says State Champs-he never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Tony Sirico was never a member of the Colombos. He was a very active associate and likely would have been made, but he was with them at a time when the family was plagued by infighting. During his association with them the family fought several brutal wars and didn't induct any new members at all. During his last stint in prison he saw a production by an acting troupe which inspired him to give acting a try. He largely drew on his own experiences, which is why he was cast in so many mafia roles, notably in Goodfellas, Gotti and The Sopranos.
The kid that plays tony in the flash back when tony is a kid is Bobby boriello jr his dad was a real mobster named Bobby boriello who was John gotti’s hitman
during the time Tony Sirico would have been active, people weren't being made - the five families closed the books (and stopped making guys) after the arrests from the Apalachin meeting in 1957 (when Tony Sirico was only 15) and they didn't open the books again until 1976 after Sirico had gotten out of prison and started an acting career.
About the censorship in the "Made In America" ending, what i've heard is that David Chase wanted a black screen with no credits all the way to the HBO logo. He was unable to obtain a waver for that from the Directors Guild of America, so he had to have the credits roll after the screen cut to black.
Wow that's so lame of the directors guild. Dude creates an iconic tv show that puts money in just about everyone's pocket and he's unable to finish it the way he wants due to some ridiculous bureaucratic nonsense. You think he'd get a pass for that.
Yeah I just finished the show for my first time and there were moments where I was like "this video is good and well intentioned but how did you get this wrong?"
I'm a few months younger than Gandolfini was and I just, for the third time, finished watching The Sporanaos in december. What struck me was how young Gandolfini still looked in the first series.
The drugs and booze really took a toll on his body. Watching the last season and going back immediately to season 1 episode 1 is scary. He was a great actor and an even greater man by all accounts but unfortunately couldn't handle the demons that eventually ended his life prematurely.

I have to say, the editing in this was way better than it needed to be for the subject matter. I loved the motif of the characters watching themselves on screens within the show. Well done!
Thanks Alex! I covered like 50+ subjects I think and I was amazed at how easy it was to compile so many clips of all of the different characters sitting in front of their television sets. Television is apparently a huge, huge theme in the show. I probably could have added this observation in the "Made in America meaning" bit. Cheers!
@@ElusoryHave you read SCP 2614? It's a fun short scary. Very spooky haunted vibe which this video reminded me of. You might like it. And naturally it's very Sopranos.
The “Made in America” title, as explained by David Chase, came from the part of the episode where Tony and Carm are entertaining Patsy and his wife, who are soon to be their in-laws. The wife, played by Donna Pessoa, is clearly dazzled by all the lush surroundings and objects in the Soprano home. At one point, she lifts up her very fancy teacup to peek underneath it, assuming that it’s very expensive English china, and is surprised when she sees the stamp on it, “Made in America.” That moment is symbolic of the illusory quality of much of their existence: things aren’t always what they appear to be.
It's actually a dinner plate, not a tea cup. And it's a 'blink and you'll miss it' scene. I just rewatched it since I didn't remember that part, and you are correct, it's very subtle
Products made in America are actually labeled "Made in USA", and in the scene where Patsy's wife checks the bottom of her plate (not teacup) you can't see what she is able to see.
I heard an interesting theory once that Tony didn't get shot in the diner, but instead died/got shot at the end of The Blue Comet. There's definitely something up with the ending of TBC and the opening of Made in America. In the last scene of The Blue Comet; Tony goes to the bedroom, shuts the door, sits on the bed, thinks back to Bobby tell him you probably don't hear it when it happens, lies on the unmade bed wearing a black leather jacket and black pants, with the AR-15 on his chest, and stares at the door (which you can see a key in the lock of but we know he doesn't lock it), and then goes to sleep. In the first scene of Made in America; Tony wakes up wearing a grey sweatsuit, on a made bed, and the AR-15 is standing up against the nightstand. It's possible that he woke up at some point in the night and stood the rifle up, but not to make the bed and change clothes. You might get the odd mistake in the Sopranos, but such blatant changes couldn't be a mistake when Chase has already said, something along the lines of, everything happens for a reason and if you notice something then it was meant to be there. I think there was something else too in regards to the diner scene, but I can't remember it properly. It comes back to Tony looking at something and then seeing it from Tony's POV. When he first walks in the diner you see him look forward then there's his POV. Then back to a shot of Tony where his expression seems to change a bit, but then from his POV it's him sitting in the booth. Like he's looking at himself sitting there. I dunno it's weird. The good thing about the Sopranos is the amount of ambiguity and that you always notice something you hadn't seen before on rewatches. That's why people are still discussing it 17 years after it ended.
Love the supernatural elements in the Sopranos (ghosts, dreams, Virgin Mary, peyote trip, parallel life in the coma, Chris going to Hell and Tone almost going to Hell). To me, these trippy moments take the show to a whole other level. I understand that some people do not care for these aspects, but to me they are my favorite parts.
I think any work of art dealing with crime and justice would be enhanced with a dose of the supernatural and mythological, since crime and punishment are timeless themes
This was awesome. I appreciated the time you put into the editing. It's not just Minecraft footage or something like that. To an extent I like those icebergs, but this felt like a much more immersive experience
My favorite scene: Paulie: Amazing thing about snakes is that they can reproduce spontaneously. Tony: Whaddya mean? Paulie: They have both male and female sex organs. That’s why somebody you don’t trust you call a snake. How can you trust a guy that can literally go fuck themselves?” Tony: Don’t you think that expression would come from the Adam & Eve story when the snake tempted Eve to bite the apple?” Paulie: Hey, snakes have been fucking themselves long before Adam and Eve showed up, T.” tony rubs forehead, checks watch then leaves in an angry hurry
@@Elusory Just got to the edit(I break up longer videos like this to watch over time) loved it. Also Phil turning the TV off LOL. Makes me realize how much of the show has characters watching TV, almost as much as eating food, it always felt sort of meta to me
To comment on Lilyhammer, I watched it right after my first viewing of Sopranos. Pretty good (and funny) show, and some great Sil moments. It's a different character, but it's practically a cartoon version of Sil. The show is basically Sil solving the problems of his new friends in Norway in his own Jersey mob guy way, and teaching them as well. Its actually a really heartwarming show, but it gets strange later on in the final season and doesn't end particularly well. But the first season (and the second for the most part) was worth the watch. (Learned a little about Norwegian culture too, which is always fun)
I will always think that Butch is the most likely architect of Tony's assassination. For whatever reason, he had it out for Tony the moment they introduced the character. That kind of animosity doesn't just go away, getting Tony to do his dirty work and take out fill with just icing on the cake.
Pauli and pat parisi. In one of last episodes they have a meeting in a bar and say “ is that thing taken care of “ ….something along those lines . But definitely them . The pair of em talking in one of Tony’s dreams as well .
In the episode where Tony kills Ralph where he says she's a beautiful innocent creature, I'm pretty sure he's referring to the horse Pie O My that was killed in the fire Ralph had started.
I just see you talking about Tony's death and yet you don't mention how when Christopher dies he warns Tony and Pauly about 3:00 and the shooter came at Tony's 3, which you do mention
Plus Chris mentioning his father telling him that in hell you relive your death for eternity, and when Tony initially enters the diner, he stops short after entering with a concerned look, with the next cut being Tony seated at the booth from the point of view of where he was standing before the cut. Absolutely intended to make the audience feel like he was seeing himself.
On the topic of the pilot, there is also a few story elements that are different to the main show. I.E Tony already being the "The Boss" and Junior being jealous over that. Silvo talking about Artie like he didn't know em, etc.
Yeah. Also the store is called Centanni's, the small mention of how Toni beats up the guy in front of the HMO because "he says he's nothing compared to the guys that used to run things." That's never touched on again right?
That was done on purpose I think. Old Man DiMeo was said to see Jackie and Tony both as possible successors. But even quieter kept was that Jackie and DiMeo both agreed Tony would be better fit. Junior was jealous because DiMeo favored Johnny more than himself, and saw it repeated when DiMeo favored his nephew.
Tony saying "Hannibal Lecture" isn't a pilot mistake, it ties in to him being uneducated and misunderstanding what people say but still repeating it. Malapropisms. Christopher and Paulie do this too, as do other characters, throughout the series
Yup, its not like "mishoots" like this never happened in the series. Honestly, this iceberg is kinda dumb, especially with the constant "allusion" to the supernatural.
@@gustavosanches3454 Ideas of life after death was definetly a big theme in the show. So it shouldn't be written off entirely. Although the wine glass was likely a placemat moving.
Great video, the extra effort in the editing really stands out! I do think it’s worth reconsidering your interpretation of Tony’s coma dream. In the dream, Tony is actually not Kevin Finnerty, he accidentally switches his briefcase with him and is stuck dealing with it for most of the dream, but he’s still Tony. I don’t see how Finnerty can represent Tony’s inner good person when Finnerty is presumed to have sold a faulty heating system to monks. Also in the dream someone asks Tony how he made the switch from selling patio furniture to precision optics, and previously on the show Tony has remarked multiple times that that’s would he might have been doing if he hadn’t been in the mob. Rather to me it seems like Tony in the dream is who he could have been, and Finnerty and his briefcase represents who he is in real life and the baggage of the mob. This also fits with your idea about Tony being fatalistic about life and that he had no choice with respect to the mob and what he has done. Dream Tony ends up with Finnerty’s brief case through no fault of his own, it’s simply an accident (fate) that he got stuck with it, yet that’s what causes conflict for Tony in the dream, like being being confronted by the monks. Let me know what you think!
You not only deserve but NEED more subscribers, I’ve watched your work several times over and my current favorite is the Mortal Kombat iceberg, you’re great dude
I always thought "Made in America" was referencing the term "made" as in becoming an official part of the crime family. That they are Gangsters in America.
Really great video. The decision to frame each entry through the characters watching TV is really creative, and beyond that, getting this huge amount of B-roll for every specific thing you talk about is something often taken for granted, but not easy. Also, I was such an idiot at 8:13 that I looked at this video's footage of that video already being watched and concluded that I had already seen it!
That is hilarious. That would be next level if that's possible someday, where the video would be clickable and overlayed like that and could show you where you currently were if you watched it already. And yeah, the B-roll really took forever to gather. and thanks for appreciating the "characters watching TV" bit ❤️ super funny, spooky, or downright dumb for every section haha
To me, Phil gripping the bed covers while Vito gets beaten to death looks like he’s processing some kind of traumatic event in his mind, possibly reminding him of his previous “compromises” when he did 20 years in the can
Barely in this video and I love the effort with editing you did in this video instead of just lazying reading a script like so many iceberg videos. Excellently done
Commenting so I can watch later when i get out of work. Hour long Sopranos iceberg analysis to kick off 2024? Mannnnn, It’s the little things in life I swear.
I actually have an alternate theory about the ending that plays into the "its his hell" thing. My theory is that the entire show from start to finish takes place on a rerund of some of Tony's worst and last years of life ending with his death the cut to black and starting with the black screen from the pilot. So on and so forth for all eternity.
Tony didn’t die. It was the audience that was killed off. The last scene we see is Tony looking at the door as Meadow enters and then the screen goes black from OUR perspective, not his. He is looking in our direction. Notice the song “Don’t Stop Believing” is playing, meant again for the audience. Beneath that song on the juke box is “Any Way You Want It”, again left to audience interpretation. If it were Tony being killed we would have seen the last scene through his eyes, lookimg towards the door and then it goes black, as he discussed with Bobby on the lake. The final scene and the mystery man in the Member’s Only jacket represents Tony’s never ending paranoia that he will live with to the end. No matter what happens or how successful he is he will always be suspicious, never trust anyone and always be looking over his shoulder. Life goes on for Tony as he picks up the pieces of what is left of his crime family while his wife and kids venture off into their own new endeavors.
Certainly could make the case for both him being alive or dead, it was purposefully made that way. But i lean more on the side of him dying especially cause of the dialogue with bobby and meadow being his "protector" throughout the show and how much screen time her parking took given the fact that it was the last scene of the show. Either way i've yet to find anything as enjoyable as this show and i've watched most of the good ones.
I haven't watched in a while but I swear there's mention in the first episodes of Meadow needing Tony to show her how to parallel park and he doesn't have the time at the moment.
What bothers me about the Members Only guy being the killer is that he looks over at Tony too many times before doing the job - a real assassin might not have done that because it would have called attention to him
Good point but there is a obvious godfather reference of him going to the bathroom to collect the gun that Tony couldn't find in the Test Dream. He could've been a relative or friend of Eugene's bc of the member's only jacket too.
Another reason Lillehammer comes off as something in the Sopranos is down to Van Zandt's acting he had previously not acted in anything and actually produced music, so most likely, he's just doing the same character.
What Tony said while killing Ralph had nothing at all to do with Tracee. He was referring to Pie O My. The racing horse that Tony assumed Ralph killed. That was the whole reason he was in his house in the first place.
What are you, stunod? The scene clearly nods to Tracee's death. "She was a hoaaah!" -> "It was a hoaaahs!" Tony could've been thinking about both of them while pummeling Ralph.
@@jasonredding9183 In all fairness, the show is quite intricate and I’m sure someone could develop the theory he was referencing both when doing it. I only really picked up on it as I am re watching so I get the mistake. However the scene does take place almost immediately after Tony discovers Pie O My’s death. Probably wouldn’t hurt this guy to freshen up before making videos on the subject.
I feel like Tony didn't care about Tracy as a person so much as he looked at as a symbol of meadow. That certainly fueled his feelings about ralphie, but in my opinion, it was only about the horse. Animals didn't know how shitty Tony was, so he loved them more, plus they are innocent and unspoiled as to the lifestyle that he lives. Something that he struggles with throughout the series, was that he wanted out of that life deep down, but he was already tipped over the edge and barreling down the mountain. So that on top of the horse making him money was a double plus.
Members only jackets are old racer jackets. The ducks are Tony's family and his first panic attack on the show is after his "family" leaves him. Confronting the possibility of losing his actual loved ones due to his life was too much and he panicked. Tony dying or not at the end doesn't matter. Either way Tony will spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder and being jumpy.
Can't believe Better Call Saul was released in 1999! Either way this is a great video and the editing is just immaculate, you truly do have the makings of a varsity youtuber This deserves millions of views
Thanks for this video. Very well done. Interesting narration as well. Like all the little relevant imagery sprinkled in the background all throughout the video. Good video.
Love the editing style in this. I know I’m looking to much into it but the editing style of Tony watching moments of his life on the tv followed by the eerie silence really does make it look like he’s in purgatory or something and he’s watching moments from his life. Also 35:16 sends chills down my spine
While I do think Tony was killed at the end, I think Chase was also alluding to the notion that even if he wasn't killed, because Tony has chosen his path in life after one final chance at redemption in the beginning of season six, he'll never know real peace and will always have to be hyper-vigilant--perhaps a fate worse than simply getting shot in the head and immediately killed.
This is a great perspective. Yeah if not being killed outright, you could look at his head perking up when he hears the door open at the diner as him being as you said, hyper vigilant & possibly increasingly more paranoid until he really does die however that may be if he wasn't killed in the diner, because of the life he chose.
Also, Carlo was going to testify so if he survived he would most likely be put in prison. But I also think he was killed and Carmella is not. in S6E1 The Seven Souls the last cutaway is Camella - The Remains.
What was this one final chance of redemption youre talking? Getting shot and survived? What else could he do to avoid basically everything afterwards? Either way, I don't think he got clapped, he had just made peace with NY, the NY capos gave him the go on offing Phil. Killing Tony would bring them back to square one that forced them all to meet in that cold empty garage to begin with. I really believe that the ending is meant to convey that emotion of constant vigilance and dread to viewers.
there's a mountain of evidence telling you he died. 7 souls playing. him digging a hole at the beginning and him looking like he's in a casket at the end. David has truly been lamenting the intellect of his audience all these years

When the background song/narration about the Seven Souls.. which gives a lot of insight, in general.. is talking about “the guardian angel” right as it shows Meadow dancing for Finn. When Tony said “she was a beautiful innocent creature” he was mostly referring to Pie-O-My. He thought Ralph purposely set the fire that killed the horse to collect the insurance money from it. Tony was upset about the girl but the horse is what pushed him over the edge enough for him to finally kill Ralph. Also, it plays into him being a sociopath as Dr. Melfi discovers one of the traits is empathy for animals which Tony displays on multiple occasions but especially with the horse.

However, that didn't apply to the actors on the Sopranos.

one small thing: 'members only' is the name of the company that made that particular style of jacket in the 80s. it doesn't say anything on the back, it's referring to the name on a small piece of cloth on the upper left pocket. it became an iconic style of jacket that resembled no others at the time.

I get what you are saying. I think that was what the writers maybe had in mind, that the cat is a symbol of Christopher.
It's too old to be Chris
No its not that deep. Italians and Catholics dont like cats
Well Chris is in hell, and we know what his hell is after he shortly passed over after his hit.

About the censorship in the "Made In America" ending, what i've heard is that David Chase wanted a black screen with no credits all the way to the HBO logo. Thanks Alex! I covered like 50+ subjects I think and I was amazed at how easy it was to compile so many clips of all of the different characters sitting in front of their television sets.
Made in America 2ouod not be indicative of poor quality.
Ha, I've never heard this take before and I really like it. You can apply to the show throughout and even that ending.
It's actually a dinner plate, not a tea cup. And it's a 'blink and you'll miss it' scene. I just rewatched it since I didn't remember that part, and you are correct, it's very subtle
I remember her showing her plate was empty when Carm went off to refill the men's glasses.
I took the change as a few days have gone by?
Love the supernatural elements in the Sopranos (ghosts, dreams, Virgin Mary, peyote trip, parallel life in the coma, Chris going to Hell and Tone almost going to Hell). The show is basically Sil solving the problems of his new friends in Norway in his own Jersey mob guy way, and teaching them as well. But the first season (and the second for the most part) was worth the watch.

Absolutely intended to make the audience feel like he was seeing himself.
he does mention it...
On the topic of the pilot, there is also a few story elements that are different to the main show. I.E Tony already being the "The Boss" and Junior being jealous over that. Silvo talking about Artie like he didn't know em, etc.
The pilot gets a passh for that.
early installment weirdness

Amazing work…. I’m truly in “awer” of you to quote Bobby bacalao. 😊
To the victor belong the spoils.
Tony wasn’t talking about Tracee when he killed Ralph. He was talking about Pie-Oh-My. A horse.
Absolutely. The audience got whacked as end of the show.
Nope. You got it wrong pal.
@@thadoc5186 unless you are David Chase himself, there is no definitive right or wrong answer. I stand by my interpretation.

Tony also appears on the news numerous times on the show, so is it that big a stretch to assume the guy could’ve just recognized him.
i lost it when Tony got slapped in the mouth by the monk.. "Lose your arrogance!" 😆🤣
Another reason Lillehammer comes off as something in the Sopranos is down to Van Zandt's acting he had previously not acted in anything and actually produced music, so most likely, he's just doing the same character.
Greatest iceberg vid I’ve seen on the Sopranos, AND I HAVE SEEN EM ALL!!! Great work, worth the wait!
Yup 100%. He was talking about the horse, not Tracy. I turned this off as soon as I heard how wrong he was. That was basic sopranos knowledge.
@@jasonredding9183 I'm pretty sure the guy who made the video meant that deep down, Tony connected Pie o My's death with Tracee's death
How am I only just noticing the wide shot of tony in the booth looks like the last supper

Your editing of the characters watching sopranos clips in the show reminds me of the dream sequences in the show
Members only jackets are old racer jackets.
The ducks are Tony's family and his first panic attack on the show is after his "family" leaves him. Confronting the possibility of losing his actual loved ones due to his life was too much and he panicked.

I know I’m looking to much into it but the editing style of Tony watching moments of his life on the tv followed by the eerie silence really does make it look like he’s in purgatory or something and he’s watching moments from his life. Also 35:16 sends chills down my spine
38:38 I don't think it was ever confirmed Ralph's son died. Ralph even said he might be okay before his own death.
The whole video is full of errors
Justin would likely be disabled but there is literally zero proof he ever died lol
David has truly been lamenting the intellect of his audience all these years
I was on a big "Mafia" Film kick back in the day, buying all the DVD's i could find (Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, The Untouchables, etc.) It was right around the time Sopranos season 3 was dropping. Needless to say i watched season 1&2, and i was hooked to this series! It still holds up today, one of the GOATS!
0:22 “I’ll just cut to the chase”
Shows the cameo by creator David Chase.
Love what you did there.
The Best TV series ever, i love all these insights, i get goosebumps, i have never watched another serious drama series that can come close, i have fallen away from such shows as they are not good anymore, thank you for the work on this.
You seriously don’t think ‘Hannibal Lecture’ was intentional? Half the things these characters say are malapropism.
I always thought “Gino” was just the bakery kid getting Vito’s name wrong.
Christopher wouldn't have talked to him like he didn't know him if that was the case.
No
Well don’t forget the show basically tells us that Meadow is Tony’s guardian angel in those exact words in the opening of season 6. When the background song/narration about the Seven Souls.. which gives a lot of insight, in general.. is talking about “the guardian angel” right as it shows Meadow dancing for Finn. So it’s not really a theory, but an outright stated fact. Great video, though. Thanks for putting this one together.
Alright, this was a good show but you got to get over it.
Great job. I really enjoyed " The Test Dream" so much. Probably my favorite episode. "What violin?" "Violet, my wife."
"The Many Saints of Newark.... whatever happened there."
"WHATEVER HAPPENED THERE?!!!"
The best editing on an iceberg video I've ever seen. Hats off
David Chase saying he knows what happened to the Russian and won't tell us because we whined too much is extremely based.
Your editing makes this an enjoyable iceberg video
>stuffed animals in her room means Meadow is young
I've dated girls in their 20s with stuffed animals all over their room
The hannibal lecture mispronunciation is on purpose
@@johnclay2716 curious about the mispronunciation being on purpose - how so?
@@Elusory It's a joke throughout the show that they're all dumb NJ Italians who mispronounce things or get names wrong
Think Bobby saying " Quasimodo " predicted this instead of " Nostradamus "
Yeah, this makes a ton of sense, you are correct. Thanks for explaining that
@@Elusory Of course, great video btw
Wow….I didn’t realize how many things I missed along the way…..clues…..all the meanings of certain scenes….thanks for opening my eyes !
14:50 Tony’s initials are A.S not T.S. His name is Anthony (or Antonio according to Dickie) Soprano
great video dude, amazing editing, made it very entertaining
Great video. Very allegorical.
elite editing brother very fun wach
He didn't send Chrissy and Paulie to the Pine Barrens to kill the Russian. He sent them to collect Silvios $5k. Paulie started w the Russian and they wound up in the Pine Barrens to get rid of the body after fighting w him.
Im just looking for comments like this before i waste time on an another Sopranos “expert”
@@CosetteFurnitureSD So what? I guess you're the only "real" expert?

When Tony said “she was a beautiful innocent creature” he was mostly referring to Pie-O-My. He thought Ralph purposely set the fire that killed the horse to collect the insurance money from it. Tony was upset about the girl but the horse is what pushed him over the edge enough for him to finally kill Ralph. Also, it plays into him being a sociopath as Dr. Melfi discovers one of the traits is empathy for animals which Tony displays on multiple occasions but especially with the horse.
that's why him actually thinking about Tracee is refered to as a theory
I will never forget the tracee episode. I watched it when it first came out. I was 16 and watching it with my dad and now my son is 16 watching it with me
The cat in "Made In America" is looking at a rat. I believe Christopher had turned informant after he realized that the brotherhood he thought he had was not what he had thought. Especially after Paulie publicly embarrasses him at the Bing. Christopher gave up everything for Tony, His dreams, his lover, his life just to be constantly belittled and made fun of for being a 12 stepper. In the episode in which Christopher is killed, he's wearing a baseball cap, something he hasn't really done before. We know the FBI was using baseball caps for microphones, enter Jack Masserone. Christopher is doing what Ade wanted him to do in the first place, leaving the life.
