Little Carmine was the smartest of the whole show. He got out of the mob, realizing the stress wasn’t worth it. Ate healthy tuna when Tony ate cheese steak. His wife was even hotter and nicer.
He's rich enough because of his father that he can live a life of luxury without risking himself in the boss title, it was the smartest move he could do in his position
Also sal iacuzzo def ruined vitos surprise of dance lessons he was taking to impress his wife. Finn lied bc his Padres took a beating and he is a poor loser, taking it out on vito w that dirty lie. Chaps too
Chris, wearing a cap on his final appearance was a book end into his first appearance in the pilot episode. He was also wearing a cap. This was just one of David chases brilliant touches.
The fact that he's wearing a Cleaver hat also seems significant to me, seeing as the movie already blatantly displays his negative feelings about Tony.
Carmine didn’t acknowledge Paulie because openly greeting a member of the mafia at a random wedding as the boss of one of the five families isn’t the smartest idea
One of my favourites is that the entire last episode is imagined by Tony because he was killed in his sleep at the safe house. It seemed like he had the ideal version of his family, Meadow had a good boyfriend and she was on her way to becoming a lawyer, AJ was in a much better mental state, Carmela seemed very much in love with him. Although his crime family was decimated his real family was doing well.
I like the part about the truck flipping to signify Chrissy flipped.. Adriana was in the truck with Tony and it flipped when they crashed... pattern established! 😅
Meh, a flip is a necessary dynamic in a totaling crash. If you just hydroplane or spin out you can regain control. Is Chrissy a snitch unless they get T-boned?
Well, I guess. I mean, the truck that had Tony and Adriana in it flipped onto it's side.... but nothing like the crash that Chris and Tony went through. I think that theory is a bit thin, but I can see the connection with the murder of JT as being their "in" to get Chris to flip.
My favorite theory (which I'm about 42% sure is accurate) is that the ENTIRE series is really just a coma dream of a guy named Kevin Finnerty who is a Outdoor Furniture salesman in San Diego, CA (tho he grew-up in NJ before his family moved) imagining his life as a mafia boss.
@@__hjg__2123 in my mind it never did either. What an absolute disaster that movie was. David Chase needed to rewatch The Sopranos before writing it because he ended up retconning some of his own plot points.
Here’s one: Hesh had Tony whacked. He was afraid for his life and his business throughout the series. And in the first dream sequence he’s in Melfis office and Heshie walks by the window. Tony exclaimed “I just saw someone I knew he just walked right by” and Melfi says “oh Heshie, he’s my 3oclock” 3 o’clock- the exact shot the members only assassin had coming out of the bathroom. She was warning Tony about 3 o’clock- Hesh’s appointment
CineRanter is almost always very good. “Tier lists” are so overdone it’s gross, but not all are created equal. “WatchMojo” gave “lists” a bad name; that’s the laziest content I’ve ever seen,
To add to the Silvio dream theory, not only is there a few Sopranos themed episodes with Silvio meeting up with Paulie (in this show he's his brother and a priest) but his Sopranos and Van Zandt's real wife plays his ex girlfriend. Not only that but essentially confirming the theory in the final season inside a hospital an old man even says "it's all a dream Silvio." Van Zandt seemed to love the theory, in his book he says there was a cut idea where in the Lilly Hammer wilderness in a dream sequence Van Zandt's character would find Tony, Carm and the kids in a house in the woods. Plus when Chase was casting Van Zandt, Zandt suggested a character called Frankie the fixer who was re-jigged into Silvio, in Lilly Hammer FrankieThe Fixer changes his name and goes into the program. So along with the same actor they both essentially come from the same source.
@@Rick_Riffyes. Any Sopranos fan should definitely watch Lilyhammer.. I would advise watching from the perspective of it being Silvio's coma dream. You're welcome
@@Rick_RiffI honestly watched it and came to the coma dream conclusion towards the end of season 2 or 3, did some research online after watching the last episode and found the theory. Rewatched the entire thing with that perspective from the beginning and I'm convinced. Only negative is that it was 'never picked back up' after some licensing deal with the Norwegian tv network or something. So basically no proper conclusion is given but I told myself Silvio's wife pulled the plug for a better ending, almost Sopranos-esq with that perspective as well. After typing this out I realise I've spent way too much time analyzing this shit but you will definitely appreciate this later 😂
Or maybe his character in lillehammer is a fan of and has watched the sopranos because I'm sure many people and especially his friends have told him about the show and then I'm sure they have said that one of the main characters and right hand man of the sopranos looks just like him and that they're both dopplegangers of each other and stuff. And so his subconscious just used the show as a reference for one of his dreams while sleeping.
So when Janice says that Harpo changed his name in the finale that was not the first time she had said that. I think she had said that somewhere around season 2 when she came to town.
That could have been his out. He could have said it was his twin brother in the gay bar. The reason he doesn't have a twin is because every one would have known Gino. The always talk about how they all grew up together. The actor just scored a bigger role later like Chris from the Wire. Remember he was a cop in season 1
When Ralph suggests John tell Carmine he would like to change families, John responds by saying that Carmine doesn't know who he is. That serves as evidence in favor of the idea that he doesn't know who Paulie is.
@@nestface4705 Right, but I was basically responding to him saying in the video that Carmine might have been faking not knowing who he was because he didn't respect the New Jersey family.
With Paulie and Carmine, it's also a mob rule that made men aren't supposed to introduce themselves to each other or discuss business; they have to be introduced formally by a mutual made man. So it was a faux pas on Paulie's part to walk up to Carmine like that (assuming that they'd never been introduced before), especially because he was a boss.
I think the RIchie being gay is 10x more believable than Philly. mostly the lights out scene when he first got laid out the joint. I cant think of another explaination other than that
I love this theory. Is this something discussed anywhere or your own personal theory? It explains how she managed to say a few things to actually scare him, without relying on anything supernatural actually occurring. I know the show plays with supernatural elements but I don't think it actually pretends something supernatural is occuring, but rather it's just used at metaphor.
That'd make a lot more sense if the psychic was like "I know what you did, I want cash or I'll tell" (and then paulie would kill him), instead of asking him to leave.
Yeah, but to what end? Paulie just gets kicked out of the session and throws a chair or something. How would the girlfriend and psychic actually profit off this?
@youthofyesterdayrecords His reluctance to continue is part of the scam. Make him come back another day (and pay more money) to get a little bit more of the message, then repeat. Right now he's just planting the seed.
I think Noah (Gnome) definitely slept with Caitlin when she came over. Something about the way he shut the door when she came in his room, and as you said, Caitlin's attitude after and being more chipper after her night with Gnome, and then the way Gnome literally got a restraining order against her and wanting absolutely nothing to do with Caitlin after that night seems like something that an immature, super rich and super spoiled guy would do in such a situation. Lord knows I and most guys i know, as well as most gals i know, have had relations with gals/guys they heavily regret the next day and do everything in their power to avoid them from then forward. Only difference is neither me nor any of my friends are rich enough, nor are we shallow enough, to go so far as to actually file a lawsuit in order to keep that person away. And lastly, as you stated, Gnome breaks it off with Meadow shortly after he and Caitlin's secret rendezvous. So with all this in mind, id say it's absolutely certain that Gnome and Caitlin did the hibidity dibity and Gnome was so ashamed he had to do everything we saw him do in order to run away from what he'd done.
Fun Fact: The actor who played Russ Fegoli was Bruce Kirby whose real name was Bruno Giovanni Quidaciolu. He had a son who was he also named Bruno who became Bruno Kirby, the actor who played young Clemenza in Godfather 2, and who of course was in When Harry Met Sally and City Slickers with Billy Crystal.
@@Professor__S Oh yeah, I know. I was just listing the most popular ones. He was in Modern Romance too with Albert Brooks in 1980 and Good Morning Vietnam with Robin Williams.
Carmine would know who Paulie is obviously, but sometimes when you're telling a good story and making a really good scene, you don't let facts and plot-holes get in the way
It’s more plausible to say he knew, but refused to recognize him because either Paulie turned rat, he was trying to talk to a guy above him with familiarity, and/or he knew him and found him obnoxious
You really need to do a video on how the hell Bobby baccala became made. It was not an earner he wasn't a killer all he did was basically take care of Junior and wipe his ass. How did he become a made man?
Thank you! When my boyfriend and I watched the penultimate episode and they named Bobby as #3 we both were absolutely shocked, like when tf was that made a thing
Basically, sometimes you can assume he did all that prior without telling. He gained enough trust to take care of Junior in those respects. Junior was techically "Boss" and need someone you can trust in the inner circle. It's like the military. Instead of doing bs grunt work, you just do secretary work for the 1SG/Commander lol
I don’t get the argument about saying Caitlin’s mood improved a bunch after seeing Noah. She was pretty clearly undiagnosed bi polar, her mood was aways all over the place.
No one seems to bring up the fact that Richie is into yoga. Sure it’s more accepted that guys do yoga nowadays, but back then, that was one of the most feminine things you can do. Just another clue no one seems to bring up.
Bobby, Johnny Sacks, Furio, and Charmain, are my favorite characters in the series. With the first three characters, I can see (multiple) turning points in their storylines that could have helped them realize their better selves IF they had listened to their inner angels. Ultimately they succumbed to peer pressure [environment] and reverted to what was 'safe' and familiar. -Bobby was a good man regardless of his father's chosen profession. But due to insecurities, he dismissed his 'true' self and delved almost entirely into ' the life.' His murder was 'karma '; he willingly crossed the path. But the scene of his death was no less traumatic and sorrowful. He should have been the character in therapy, not Tony. -Johnny could have been a self-made made, legitimate man without the mafia backing him up. Maybe the owner of an honest construction company or even a union organizer. Just imagine being some Wall Street Yuppie sitting across the table, bargaining with Johnny "The Hitman" Sacks regarding a union contract. Or Johnny "Give me a reason..." Sacks refusing to cooperate no-show jobs with the mob! -Furio was a product of his environment, but that environment didn't suppress his recognition of 'love.' More importantly, 'true' love. He recognized it when he saw it, almost immediately. A woman with grace, charm, affection, and spirit. The key word here is 'woman.' Not a prostitute or gun-moll, but a true lady. His willingness not to pursue this romance could be considered self-preservation, but it was something more. It was the first time in his life that he could see the repercussions of his actions if he followed his heart. A love-struck 'bad' man who has always dismissed such feelings, only to finally succumb to such feelings. -Charmaine-the only character in this series who always knew her place in the 'world'-that of a righteous person. She recognized corruption, resisted temptation, and called out those who were the employees of evil. She loved Artie because he was naive, but she scolded him when he was dancing with the devil. Above all the characters in the series, she was the only one who never gave in to vice. Then there's Carlo...
I don’t consider Phil being gay even a theory anymore. David Chase didn’t merely “talk about it” as you mentioned he all but overtly confirmed it and when you consider the fact that David Chase hardly ever confirms or denies anything going on between the lines in the show is far too much to ignore
I definitely believe that Lily Hammer is Silivo's coma dream from the Sopranos. I watched every episode of the Lily Hammer and he's essentially playing Silvio making gangster moves in Norway. I definitely agree with this Sopranos fan theory.
With Carmine not recognising Paulie, in the mafia unless you've had a formal introduction where someone else in the mafia introduces you to each other saying "Carmine this is Paulie, he's a friend of ours." You're not supposed to acknowledge that you know each other are members, it's a secret society, with lots of very strict rules, I heard a story about a made man from LA who got offended when a east coast boss pretended not to know the made man, but strictly speaking the boss was adhering to the rules. I'm pretty sure he was doing because of some underlining issue though.
Wow, the 'Russ is Paulie's dad' one really has some legs. Those would be some strange coincidences. Seems like the writer of the latter episode could answer yes or no on that. Which leads me to my question, if the writers didn't plan any of these theories, can they still be true?
@@MOB_JD LOL, it is not "definitely". Have you heard all the soprano theorys? "it's all there". Some of them are loony. It seems like people put words in David Chase's mouth. Esp about if Tony died or not. When did he say that?
Butchie, once he thought Phil was going to kill him, devised a plan to allow Tony to kill Phil then he killed Tony as revenge which allowed him to become the new boss. Hands clean for both killings.
Butch was too weak to be a boss. When word got back to the troops about how he cowered like a little bitch while Tony was wrecking Coco, he would be finished. Watch how he was taking cues from Little Carmine at the last sit-down. And Phil was right---he screwed up the whole plan by not taking out Tony first.

Excellent video. Definitely going to check out your other Sopranos Theories videos. As someone who has only recently ever watched the show, a few of these are things I actually felt were probably true at the time during my first ever watching and without ever reading about the show and the various theories around it. They are: - Noah & Caitlin - Little Carmine the Genius - Did the cop really whack Christopher's dad? In fact with the last one, I was surprised to hear it as a theory. I definitely thought the entire point of the episode was to draw doubt as to whether this cop really killed Chris' dad and to make you question Tony's motive with putting Chris up to this. I also felt at the time that if he was just some guy (and not Chris' dad's killer), Tony was using it as a way to give Chris some sort of closure. I felt like it was obvious, but I guess that was meant to be something obscure or unclear as opposed to a definite thing in the show with an answer.
When I was watching it at the time, week by week, the ending was at, 1st glance, a mystery, but after rewatching it, again and again, it obviously was Butch Conti, his 180 turn on selling Phil out, Phil: " we gotta sit down" being a potential threat, being last man standing ect..also you are ALWAYS supposed to be introduced in that life by a 3rd party member( according to every ranking mob guy) nevermind to a Boss!!! Therefore Paulie had no right to go up to Carmine at a wedding, and also he had no idea what Paulie was thinking( which he mightve been open to Tony's Judas!)
With the first theory where Christopher flipped. Notice he’s wearing a hat of the movie clever that they filmed within the show, and the movie was about a guy who was in the mob that snitched on the mob boss and was killed. So that might have been a little bit of a hint that Chris flipped on Tony
@@thewelshbeersnob2783this sentimental motherfucker just cost him his grades. In The Wire it's money not grades. But it's the line that gets said when Slim Charles shoots Cheese.
Something that you didn't bring up in the last theory is that it was shown during that season Chris was being followed by the FBI. Remember the scene in the diner when he meets with an actor thats in AA and he asks him about the agents outside following him? So after clipping JT he more than likely was picked up immediately.
I completely agree with the Johnny Sack hearing the joke theory. I noticed it during the scene and thought of it straight away and it makes total sense that when he heard Ralph, he flipped
Tony killed Christopher to prevent him from flipping. Knowing he was on drugs and would be at risk of losing his family, Tony knew killing him would prevent him from being susceptible to the Feds with a DUI arrest.
The way Christ was acting in S6 it was implied he was already working with them and we just didn't have the scenes with the FBI and Chris like we did with Adrianna, probably to put us in Tony's shoes of being stuck in a 'known-unknown' situation that involves his future with the law and his own nephew
I love how the narrator leaves the curse words in the commentary, but they get blanked out in the closed-captioning. And it's always fun listening to British accents talking about American mobsters.
All of these are plausible to one degree or another, but I think the one we're actually supposed to pick up on as cannon is that Russ is Paulie's father. There are just too many intersections between them. Plus its a funny little nod as Russ is the guy who thinks Italians like Tony give them a bad name.
Apart from the fact that Chis didn´t know ´what happened to Ralph´ when he killed the cop, your video is absolutely brilliant. I have a (very silly) theory about Tony and the FBI: Tony was not killed - he was arrested.
Just as the bobby killing harpo theory, i think the theory of chris snitching is not really true but its a way of making you think about the posibility of that happening. Tony felt that. Chris wasnt trustable. He needed to go.
I agree about Phil, though there are hints it's nowhere near as clear as Richie. Also for Richie bear in mind that he repeatedly says how men give him a hard-on: first when joking that Junior not wearing a shirt at the doctor's office will give him a chubby, and then when threatening Chris and getting in his face saying something like "I've had a hard-on for you since we met" (in the sense that he dislikes Chris). In both cases of making a joke and a threat, he phrases it in terms of a man giving him an erection. Then also consider how he died: the last thing Janice said to him which immediately triggered him punching her was when she said something like "even if your son is gay so what, there's nothing wrong with it" and he strikes her.
@@anthonyludwig2891 I haven't seen much of the show lately, so hopefully I'm not mixing up characters/storylines. But in one episode, when Tony was hearing about Ralphie's sexual preferences from his girlfriend and Janice, it was said Ralphie probably couldn't get aroused by regular sex. He had some unusual fetishes (think cheese grater). And would potentially finish himself off. During one scene, with Richie and Janice, he was seen holding a pistol to her head during sex. That's not a normal kink. That, potentially like Ralphie, is quite an extreme fetish. Unlike Ralphie (who seemed to like being dominated, humiliated and abused), it seemed Richie potentially got off on power and instilling fear, and seemingly being the extremely dominant person during sex. But like Ralphie, it may also be the case that regular sex didn't arouse Richie. And just think about that scene with the stripper - it had been organized for him by someone else. And the stripper had him sat in a chair, whilst she controlled the situation, for the most part. In essence, he didn't dominate or contol any aspect of the situation - it was thrust upon him, and he felt he had to sit there and endure it. But it was potentially quite telling that at the end he insisted on paying - this small act at least let him take some control and dominance over the situation, including the stripper, as well as Silvio (who has told her not to receive money).
Caitlyn is the type that would 100% sleep with her roomate's boyfriend, and Noah obviously would bang ber, knowing Meadow would never believe Caitlin over him.
EDIT: Great Video!!! The Chris flips or not one, them getting away w/murders (w/no investigations even) is a flaw in the show, IMO. Like the waiter in AC. From the other worker's eyes, a big $$$ table dined & dashed, then killed him when he chased them. (They couldn't know paulie took it after, unless there were camera, but then they'd really be F'ed) From the FBI's perspective the waiter was killed right after a dinner party stiffed him. The party consisting of the top 2 in NJ, a NY 5-Family underboss, 3-4 other made guys & and at least 1 of them was an informant. The FBI would've known about the dinner at the time, then the waiter is killed and nothing? If Chris was an informant, the show would have given us a little more than that, IMO.
The last theory is interesting, but problematic for two reasons I can see: 1. There was a pile of Chris' things in the hospital near Tony's bed. Someone would have seen it, picked it up, called the FBI... 2. Christopher flipping now would make the killing of Adriana completely null, and somehow EVEN SADDER
hahahah i love this channel so much - the neverending quotes / references woven seamlessly in and out of your narrative and deep analysis cracks me up.
I think back in the old days, Richie Aprile took Butchie’s eye out. Butchie has a defective eye and when talking shit on Tony’s bombing of a store front he says something along the lines of if one truly had balls they’d take an ice pick to someone’s eye. Richie has made multiple references to taking someone’s eye out and Butchie has a pre existing hatred of the New Jersey “family” sort of leads me to believe that was it.
Badass theory but unlikely. The line was about jamming an ice pick to the lungs instead of eyes iirc. The other points are vague so they don't hold much water. Still a cool idea though
I never thought about Chris having a wire in his cap before watching your video, but him wearing that Cleaver cap always seemed very out of place to me, but I never knew why. I also thought it seemed way too easy the way Chris got away with shooting the professor/writer with the loud gunshot, and just wiping his prints off the door knob and walking away without anyone looking out their peephole or seeing him arrive or leave. The theory if Chris getting caught for the murder, flipping after seeing that nobody respects or even really likes him for that matter, and wearing a wire makes a lot of sense when you look at the totality of the circumstances.
Thanks for telling me what the sopranos is dude, i clicked on a sopranos theories videos to find out wjat the show is Can't even tell if you're stuck with what you learned in 6th grade when the literature teacher tells you you shoukd start essays explaining what they are about, or looking to raise the word count with whatever you can for more ads
The Phil theory is legit. Why else would the writers have him come out of the closet, but ALSO clench the sheets and pillow when the pool cue gets rammed up Vito's behind? There is a term among wise guys & street toughs for gays that an Englishman likely hasn't heard. It's "pillow biter." Phil didn't "settle" in the joint. But...he didn't catch either. Boom. 100% spot on mate. (Chris didn't flip. He was carrying on with his new wife & child. They would have all been disrupted if he went into PC. In fact, she wouldn't have been able to see her family again if he was in witness protection & she's very close to her father. Not. A. Chance.
I love to think Little Carmine is a criminal mastermind! And to make it more interesting i believe all fan theories to get a new exciting perspective 😂
Great video! I’d be surprised if a Richie (a made guy) had been sexually assaulted in prison. Of course Carmine knew who Paulie was. There are many reasons why Carmine would play dumb. Chris flipping the car on drugs might be a metaphor for him flipping due to drugs.
Pretty good list. I don't believe Chris flipped, even though there are some pretty interesting coincidences. The hat, for example, is just one of several ways Chris is trying his hardest to promote the movie. Tony was given a Cleaver mug, and there's a Cleaver poster at Chris' house. But the main reason I don't think he has flipped is because he had already been confronted with the question as to flip or stay, and he stays not necessarily because of his loyalty to Tony, but because he saw life as a "civilian" as being boring, burdensome, and poverty stricken. If he was ever going to flip, that was the time.
I used to roll my eyes at the joke and reference-a-minute but it really hit the spot in this video. Especially the punching of the Hasidic Homeboys lights out.
My theory is that Meadow has ADHD but it isn't recognized because because hers is primarily inattentive ADHD and she still does well in school. There are just too many scenes that don't make sense to even include, except to demonstrate her inattentiveness. The whole choir practice scene, how she doesn't mess up performing when on an illicit stimulant, what Tony says to her in the church about not trying hard enough, and other scenes like when she is confused about being handed a coke when she is getting drugs from Christopher. It makes the episode Down Neck very tragic.
My theory - Tony doesn't die at the end. The camera focuses on eight people entering the diner. Three of these people are Tony's family (Carmela, AJ, and Meadow). The rest of the people are as follows - middle aged white woman, middle aged white man with cap, middle aged white man (member's only jacket), and two young black men. IMO they're POLICE! The man with the 'members only' jacket is the lead officer / agent who heads into the WC. When he comes out of the WC this is the signal for his team to spring into action and arrest Tony. The (plainclothes) police want to arrest Tony in a discreet, low-key fashion, in a public place (away from his house) as they want to get him to flip.
Agree, and Michael imperioli said somethings similar on reflection of the show. It made absolutely no sense how it was carried out if it was a hit. It's almost cheesey and certainly makes no logical sense. The guy sat there, handled multiple items at the bar, fingerprints everywhere, and there's no way anyone walks out of a bathroom to do a hit like that. Tony would have sensed that a mile away, and there is no way he'd have allowed a tail to follow him like that to a diner, right after a murder of a boss. The feds would have been all over tony too. Every move he made was gonna be watched like a hawk, especially after yet another rat in the family telling them the insides of the war with nyc. Tony would have either been clipped by his own, or went to prison. The death ending seems lazy and unimaginative. 3 O'clock too. If anything that toilet door was at 4 o clock, slightly behind Tony. I've no idea why people keeps pinning that as a 3 to suit an argument. Chase and Pastore also confirmed more than once that Jim Gandolfini was having verbal discussions with regards to a Sopranos movie. For me I think just like the Sopranos started it finished. We opened up to a window into Tony's life in a very sudden way and it finished the same way.
@@roymunson1 At the 01:50 minute mark Tony and Carmela are talking and then the camera focuses (again) on the man with the cap - who is now sitting in one of the booths - how is he relevant? The server serves him coffee only - why would he sit in a booth if he was only ordering coffee? Logically he would sit at the counter where 'members only' man ends up sitting? He (the man with the cap) doesn't acknowledge the server and he keeps his gaze averted downwards. The camera now focuses on Tony and Carmela, and he tells her that Carlo is going to testify i.e., Tony's finished. Carmela looks frazzled (but not surprised) after Tony tells her about Carlo, however, she holds it together as AJ has just joined them. She changes the subject to AJ's new job. AJ's usually negative, but this time he’s trying to be positive, and he comes out with the statement "focus on the good times" - it's like Carmela gave him a heads up that his father was in trouble and to try and be positive for a change? At 02:26 minutes 'members only' man is tapping his hands on the counter - fidgeting (sign of stress). At 04:00 minutes 'members only' man gets up from the counter and walks towards the WC. Tony looks at him again (for the second time) - if he was a gunman street smart Tony would have copped him by now. Right after that the two young black men enter the diner. Notice how uncomfortable / unfamiliar they look in their surroundings and also notice how they're also fidgeting with their hands (sign of stress). Tony's surrounded by police officers!
Oh man that makes way more sense. I mean in a diner Tony's hardly going to be armed to the teeth, at home who knows what he'll do. Plus though it's very clever, everything that suggests he dies to me is too symbolic, it adds up but in a show full of literal deaths it makes no sense, take Phil for example his death was very cut and dry. If it happened in a dream sequence then maybe as Sopranos did get spiritual/supernatural at times but in the context of the show when someone is whacked it's gritty and real.
@@timothyoreilly6675good observation. I find it a lazy argument to make the narrative that he died in some way a confirmation of his death. It has way too many holes in it to suggest it was a logical end for tony. The whole set up makes that an exhausted debate. I suppose we don't know for sure one way or the other but the death assumption borders on the ridiculous.

Enough with the scenarios already, Huh!!
bravo david
The fact that he's wearing a Cleaver hat also seems significant to me, seeing as the movie already blatantly displays his negative feelings about Tony.
Carmine didn’t acknowledge Paulie because openly greeting a member of the mafia at a random wedding as the boss of one of the five families isn’t the smartest idea

Carmine knew exactly who he was but pretended not to to undermine Jonny Sack.
@@Zkkr429Bullshit. He legitimately had no clue who Paulie was. Carmine was a smart guy, but he wasn't playing 8D chess with his underboss.

@@zinan2959 lmao
One of my favourites is that the entire last episode is imagined by Tony because he was killed in his sleep at the safe house. It seemed like he had the ideal version of his family, Meadow had a good boyfriend and she was on her way to becoming a lawyer, AJ was in a much better mental state, Carmela seemed very much in love with him. Although his crime family was decimated his real family was doing well.
Especially the fact that when he wakes up that morning, he is literally posed in bed like he's in a coffin.
You are correct, it is a dream. Much more detail in my book.
AJ's final commentary with his therapist reveals that he's about to take this therapy thing just as seriously as Tony did
You are wrong, it's actually a flashback. Even more detail in my book.
Carmela doesn't seem in love with him :D
She's more like annoyed when she hears Tony's crew is finished.
I like the part about the truck flipping to signify Chrissy flipped.. Adriana was in the truck with Tony and it flipped when they crashed... pattern established! 😅
Nice connection
Meh, a flip is a necessary dynamic in a totaling crash. If you just hydroplane or spin out you can regain control. Is Chrissy a snitch unless they get T-boned?
He threw food at Vito, that needs to be resolved
I out loud said “oh shit” and my jaw dropped when I read this. Very fucking sharp observation man. Might be my favorite I’ve heard

Here’s one: Hesh had Tony whacked. He was afraid for his life and his business throughout the series. And in the first dream sequence he’s in Melfis office and Heshie walks by the window. Tony exclaimed “I just saw someone I knew he just walked right by” and Melfi says “oh Heshie, he’s my 3oclock”

Is the series worth watching? I've heard competing recommendations from Sopranos fans.

5:28 there's a scene in Lillehammer where Steven Van Zandt is knocked out/in a coma and one of the people in his dream call him Silvio.

Theory: The psychic was getting inside information from Paulie's goomar and they were running a scam on him.
I don't think there's ever been a funnier scene on TV than Paulie's dream about Hell... Except maybe a headstone that reads "PEEPS"

Then there's Carlo...
you like all the whack ass characters lol
That would explain why lillyhammer was canceled abruptly. They pulled the plug 🔌
Lillyhammer is actually very fun and easy to watch, advise you to finish it cause its entertaining.
It would also make sense why Chris is high in his last scene. He can’t bare the pain of what he is doing to Tony
He had so much rage for Tony at that point tho.
I don’t consider Phil being gay even a theory anymore. David Chase didn’t merely “talk about it” as you mentioned he all but overtly confirmed it and when you consider the fact that David Chase hardly ever confirms or denies anything going on between the lines in the show is far too much to ignore
I didn't even know Noah bangin' Katlin' was a "theory" -- i thought it was fairly well "implied without stating explicitly"

Excellent video. Definitely going to check out your other Sopranos Theories videos. As someone who has only recently ever watched the show, a few of these are things I actually felt were probably true at the time during my first ever watching and without ever reading about the show and the various theories around it. They are:
- Noah & Caitlin
- Little Carmine the Genius
- Did the cop really whack Christopher's dad?
In fact with the last one, I was surprised to hear it as a theory. I definitely thought the entire point of the episode was to draw doubt as to whether this cop really killed Chris' dad and to make you question Tony's motive with putting Chris up to this. I also felt at the time that if he was just some guy (and not Chris' dad's killer), Tony was using it as a way to give Chris some sort of closure. I felt like it was obvious, but I guess that was meant to be something obscure or unclear as opposed to a definite thing in the show with an answer.
Little carmine was and IS a genius absolutely!!
Thumbs up for slipping in “dysentery in the ranks.”

If Tony was killed in the final scene, the hitter was hired by Widow Pontecorvo.
Little Carmine a Secret Genius? Yeah, and I play Shortstop for The Mets.
"Loyel capo" hahahaha...well done...well done!
If Carmine jr was a secret genius he kept the secret well 🤣
Apart from the fact that Chis didn´t know ´what happened to Ralph´ when he killed the cop, your video is absolutely brilliant.
Roses are red,
Richie has moxie for his size
Jack off into a tissue,
Phil comprimised
Him not being able to get-it-up for the stripper at the bing (even after insisting on the dark) is the nail in the coffin for me
It's also very ironic that he wishes his son was more like Jackie Jr. while Jackie wanted his son to do anything else but get into mob life.
If Richie were gay no way is he hosing Janice.
Not only do I think that charcoal briquette slept with Kaitlynn, I think he stole her bike.

As far as Dickie Moltisanti, I still feel Paulie did the hit for Junior. When the guy on the phone said it's done, it sounded like Paulie's actor.
I thought that was Silvio confirming that it had been done.
What was it Phil used to always say? Something like "I took it twenty years in the can"?
EDIT: Great Video!!!
The Chris flips or not one, them getting away w/murders (w/no investigations even) is a flaw in the show, IMO.
Like the waiter in AC. From the other worker's eyes, a big $$$ table dined & dashed, then killed him when he chased them.
(They couldn't know paulie took it after, unless there were camera, but then they'd really be F'ed)
From the FBI's perspective the waiter was killed right after a dinner party stiffed him.
The Feds charged 2 black guys for killing the waiter.
no one has the balls to testify against mobsters, so there would be no witnesses from that restaurant
The last theory is interesting, but problematic for two reasons I can see:
1. There was a pile of Chris' things in the hospital near Tony's bed. Someone would have seen it, picked it up, called the FBI...
2. Christopher flipping now would make the killing of Adriana completely null, and somehow EVEN SADDER

I like that theory
Little Carmine caused the whole war and got rid of all his enemies and rivals
Thanks for telling me what the sopranos is dude, i clicked on a sopranos theories videos to find out wjat the show is
Can't even tell if you're stuck with what you learned in 6th grade when the literature teacher tells you you shoukd start essays explaining what they are about, or looking to raise the word count with whatever you can for more ads
Noah has a huge head, crazy how that lil skinny neck supports that huge boulder.
😂
My theory is that Meadow has ADHD but it isn't recognized because because hers is primarily inattentive ADHD and she still does well in school. There are just too many scenes that don't make sense to even include, except to demonstrate her inattentiveness. The whole choir practice scene, how she doesn't mess up performing when on an illicit stimulant, what Tony says to her in the church about not trying hard enough, and other scenes like when she is confused about being handed a coke when she is getting drugs from Christopher. It makes the episode Down Neck very tragic.
My favorite theory is that Rhiannon (AJ's GF) was secretly feeding information to NY to set up Tonys murder.
she also has connections to the ny mob and even mentioned once that shes tired of them using her
@DagwoodDogwoggle Chase did deny this. It's in a talking Sopranos podcast with David Chase. He laughed and was kinda stunned at theory. He denied it.
Sorry I know this is random but I just realized that Richie looks just like Dracula. That picture of him at 4:28.
Theory: Phil is not a house, he's just a window
‘Huge roaster of characters’. Nicely done

At the 01:50 minute mark Tony and Carmela are talking and then the camera focuses (again) on the man with the cap - who is now sitting in one of the booths - how is he relevant?
David chase said it's true he gets whacked at the end 🤷🏽♂️
