No matter how many new fads or diets we come up with, the basics remain the same. Eat a Whole Foods based diet and stop eating a few hours before bed. This simple suggestion when actually followed has helped so many of my clients. Really is a pillar of health!

Such great info. Especially loved Liz talking about functional medicine!! How can I find a functional medicine doctor in my area?? Was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome in 1995, and have orthopedic problems and have had several spine fusions, both cervical and lumbar. Also have anxiety and depression. Would love someone in functional medicine to find the real basis of my problems and help me get back to LIFE!! Thanks so much for this info. I have recently experimented with low carb and even carnivore diet! Seemed to help my pain and energy, then Christmas came!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!

check out your vit d levels, look in to high dose vit d3, high dose zinc. I am recovering too. still have lung problems, still on partial oxygen. basically you need to rehab your cardiovascular system. your whole body. so to do that may wish to look in to the AIP diet. Autoimmune Paleo or AIP Autoimmune Protocol. The idea is fo reduce inflammation in your body from food, chemicals, OTC meds. its called the AIP diet basically cut out all sugar, caffeine, all dairy, all gluten. alcohol, this will allow your body to heal. clean fresh water, The high intensity health podcast has some great list of blood tests, check out sleep and vit d3, vit d3 immune system. There is allot of great free stuff online and on UA-cam about supplementation, AIP.

Dr. Hyman do you agree with Dr. Gundry about removing lectins from your diet? I’m a very picky eater so this may be a challenge but I do need to do something to change how I feel.

I have been on a Keto diet for about 18months, I don’t want to lose more weight so I have started eating some low sugar fruit and feel so tiered around 2 o’clock. I will now stop eating them.such a shame because it’s Christmas Eve 🙁🎅🏻🌲👍🇬🇧

Dr Hyman. I think that Greg Doucette (1.2M subscribers) makes an excellent point when he says don’t fast or IF. In theory fasting is much better however people often binge in response to fasting with poor foods. Especially people who already have high body fats and poor nutrition choices. Opinions on this Dr Hyman?

@@nalimo4652 he’s not a bro scientist. He clearly states he’s not a doctor at the beginning of every video. However he is a top level athlete and I think his points are valid. I was wondering what Dr. Hymans thoughts are on this. I listen to every episode of the doctors farmacy and have bought a number of Marks books. I have also listened to almost every David Sinclair interview and have read lifespan multiple times. Thanks though!

Oh, it is a collage of clips.
You say the average apple has been stored for a year??
No wonder I don't like apples anymore. I can't find one I like.
I used to nearly live on apples.
Now I don't care. I don't crave an apple. The crave has been dashed so many times that my psyche learned to quash the desire. Yes I said quash.

No video here, but I have seen you elsewhere do a suppressed burp. I want to know if you have a digestion problem. Or is it a habit? I find it "rude", but I have read that some consider it just fine. Do you Know that you burp? Do you think it is fine?

I got nuthin else to do.
Dr. Hyman, you say taking stimulants is "kind of like beating a dead horse"?
First, I winced in pain considering the dead horse you brought to mind. Died from beating, you know. The stupid and horrible man beat the poor animal, and in rage continued to beat after death!
Second, the analogy does not really fit.
Please drop that horrid reference. You must know how your words affect people.
And don't say "swing a cat", or "let the cat out of the bag" [WHY was the poor cat in a bag?]
    Sure, watch what you eat.
But also Watch what you say.
