You seriously just solved a problem I’ve been contemplating for weeks! I drive a tiny car so I can’t even fit the longer poles in my car. Thank you Robbie! I’ve learned so much since I subscribed to you.
Hi Robbie luv your channel been watching some of the older ones, I've now started a tub experiment and can't wait for the plants to grow have been gardening for sometime and this is a first for me, you are my most favourite garden guru sending love all the way from South Africa
What Tuesday for my 'Two Minute Tuesday' on my shirts, even made Easier now, but I have another LONGER one coming later in the week, Thanks so much, Robbie
I have bamboo on a vacant lot next door. Anytime I want stakes I just take a machete and whack some off. Those metal core stakes don't like to be stepped on. They will kink and loose all their strength. Great tip and I'm glad you mentioned cutting the end off the cable ties. They can give you a nasty poke in the eye.
Thank you, makes perfect sense! My car is tiny and hubby has been out of town with the truck (And is now making his way back with a broken truck, ugh!). So simple but awesome, thanks so much!
This was a great idea. Think I'll be on the lookout for some of these..I think they would even make a cheap cane pole...later this gals gone fishin...lol
I love your videos, You guys are so smart and funny. I have a lot of free stakes this year because I saved the stalks from the Sunflowers that I grew last year. Some are about 8 ft tall with very straight and sturdy branches about an inch in diameter. I don't know how long they will last though. Thanks for posting.
Great tip! The poles I bogjt online 2 years ago were 4 feel and 12.00 each plus shipping... Dag Wish I knew about this then Thanks for sharing! It's a good gardening find.
You dont need the tape over it. I used zip ties to do my fencing around my garden (metal fence posts and metal fencing) cuz i didnt want anything permanant... so i could move the posts and expand the garden to wahtever size with more fencing later. its held up for two seasons of 100 degree weather and blasting texas sun and its fine. lol
Hey Robbie! I ordered some walking Onion bulbs on Amazon, and I got them today. There was a note with them saying it takes 2 years for them to grow the tops. Is that true, I sure do hope not. I’m so looking forward to seeing them grow this year. I hope they will grow good in South Carolina. Thanks for sharing this, I just love watching you guys...
The 99cent only stores carry the stakes and so does Daiso, both have the green plants stakes, Lowe's and Home depot have them too...just not for a $1, Thanks, Robbie
Sorry but the zip ties will be on but the pole will still slide down with any weight on them until theu are both at the ground right next to each other.
Try it, the poles with the ridges will not slide at all, the ridges are so you can tie up your plants, the zip ties put on will not even allow the poles to slide at all, and it holds quite a load too, thanks for the comment, Robbie

What dollar store? I looked at Dollar Tree. None there.
Yup give it a good 6 to 8 inches 🙊 😂
Are you sure that will work. Sure looks flimsy. That tape
