I am so crazy about this; thought about those “connecter stake tubes” I make but too time consuming for me, so I ordered this from Walmart and once I started working with it, in seconds, my mind went wild…. I forgot to check Homedepot on the price (double amount same price-but I know now). I so love this, unbelievable, easy cheap and works so great in the style that works for what ‘One’ needs. Thank you, funny story as I was working on the one in the Chair Garden, should share that I had ‘company’ feet from me watching me as I was putting on up in the night
Thank you ! I’m 85 years old and can’t believe I can grow a patio garden using your innovative ideas. I was just trying to figure out how to make a trellis for my plants . Thank you for solving the problem in such an amazing way !
Robbie, another awesome idea! I hope you know how much good you do for gardeners, especially women. I watched some male gardening shows, and much of what they do is too heavy for me, a woman. I looked into those metal panels, and, like you, I found it very difficult to transport and work with. thank you so much for a woman's perspective on being creative and saving money! You are appreciated!
Thank you so much for such a sweet comment. I will be sharing much more on the black tubing, as I’m using it all over now and it is a miracle item in the garden. Thanks so much
great idea, I have an old hose I was going to throw away, I might cut it up and see if I can use it for connectors, the tubing you have looks like a hose to me. thanks! Keep the creative juices flowing.
I love when you are so excited to share with all of us your new discoveries and inventions! I am so using your tips! Just exactly what I need! Thank you!
Robbie I love love love love 💞 you and Gary I watch you every day. I am a woman of a certain age too. And I have been gardening for at least 30years. I have learned a lot from you. And you just crack me up with laughter. You a a gem , don't change a thing about you. Keep being an inspiration to me and many others. And don't forget to eat what you grow.😊😊👍👍🙂😁❤️💞
Definitely a good idea. Thank you for sharing. Just made my tulle cover the other day and my strawberries are safe :) This is something I will definitely try.
In my town, 1 gal of gas cost the same as 1 gal of milk, that cost the same as 1 head of lettuce. Thank you so VERY much, Robbie and Gary, for all of the easy, inexpensive, fast ways on how to survive (and actually thrive). Because of you, I don't have to buy gas or lettuce. And my milk now comes from stored powdered milk. You are a bright light in a dark time, my video teacher. Blessings.
You have the best ideas!! I love how your tips are always accessible and affordable too. I've been using tulle in the garden this year and am actually having success keeping the rabbits and squirrels out! 🎉 (Deer are another story lol). Am definitely going to try this one too. Thanks for sharing! 💕
I'm using the tulle as well! I have a small pumpkin area and I'm trying to protect the infant pumpkins with some tulle. Keeping my fingers crossed! So many critters around here.
I would like to request if you can do videos on individual crops? From seed, start, to harvest. Include how much & often you water, temp and number of hours of sun or shade, part shade.. (which most other gardening channels completely leave out) and how you protect them best. Maybe how you cook & eat too. Just one crop plant from start to finish - seed to stomach - per video? Hopefully others would like to see this too.
You are soooo right! This is a game changer. Every sight talks about the cattle panels and wire mesh however they ALL say this is a “two person operation”. I don’t have “two” people it’s just me and I can’t do those cattle panels (I have done the latter mesh it was easier but still cumbersome) I can’t do a hoop house etc… but I CAN do this! I’m so excited to try this. It will extend my garden and allow me to start my garden early as well as staking all the fruits/veggies you mentioned. Again, it goes hope. 🙏 Thank you again for a great video!
Omgoodness, i did almost the same thing with cut hula hoops from the dollar store attached to tomato stakes and wrapped one side with trellis netting. It goes across five of my totes. My cucumbers and are enjoying going up them, still waiting for the tomato and squash to grow up though.
U are amazing! Tqsm for sharing! Indeed it's going to be a game changer for me. I could apply this idea using soldering iron or a drill on pvc pipes, (left over /scrap from my husband's project) to make an angle for any trellis n of course that drip hose is good for making curves.
Woman, you are really crafty!! I watched someone’s garden using that metal ladder blocks as trellis (on UA-cam) and looked beautiful. BUT, like you, they are not for me as transportation is a matter even though I drive a truck (yes, there is way to squeeze them into my truck but I prefer not to). Your idea is much more practical for me! Thanks again for another great idea. You got me into chair gardens and some hacks around the yard. 🙏
JL, I think I saw the same video about using that ladder material. My squash vines are everywhere - but I have no idea what item Robbie is using with the tubing (guess I missed that upload...) 🙄
I garden in 110 gallon horse troughs with drainage plug. I took out plug, put in big 8 inch drain tubing, covered with gravel lined that with landscape fabric and filled up with mixture of sand vermiculite peat moss and soil. Started with 2 to experiment and now have 20, with 6 more next year. Perfect height for planting and weeding only takes a few minutes. Rabbits cant reach that high and I have more birds and less pests. Never have to worry about over watering either. Turned on sprinkler and ...... yeah ..... went running out and turned off to see...... wa😁ter coming out of the drain hole. Awesome.
So I’m thinking of putting 4 stakes in my tote, one for each corner. 4 pieces of tubing across the top to make cross beams and then string trellis up my cucumbers to grow vertically.
I already have this left over from last year. I am taking a break from a current project and thought let me watch a little Robbie. Now my mind is on omggodness. Why didnt i think of that. I have used it on low tunnels but not trellising. Girl, i both love and hate you. Cant get my mind back to my own project now. Giggle. Seriously, you rock.
FANTASTIC IDEA, ONCE AGAIN YOU HAVE MADE MY GARDENING EFFORTLESS AT 67 yrs young MY HANDS AND WRISTS DON'T HAVE THE STRENGTH THEY USED TO ,BRAVO ROBBIE 👏 YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN ❤
Phenomenal alright. There is so much we can do with it and great prices . i Love trellis. for my runner scarlet beans. Thanks for this Phenomenal awesome idea. Robbie you picture so much in your mind. See you .Nora and Manuel
I was so happy to finally see the green tape/foil corners then THIS! Your small wisdom sprinkles reflects your creative mind. You keep me on my toes. Thank you! And Miss Kitty in the tubing frame was adorable!
This is such a brilliant idea! Last year, I wasted money on some hard plastic connectors from Amazon meant for the plastic covered metal garden poles. They were supposed to make corner pieces, hinges, etc. The problem was very few of the many garden poles I have actually fit and those that did fit, wouldn’t stay connected. Your use of drip irrigation tubing is so much more flexible, design-wise and affordable. I am so excited to go order some. As always, thanks for sharing your creativity with all of us!
I just love your use of outdoor chairs... bending and stooping is just not easy anymore... they put the toats within reach... and the tubing for trellises is a great idea...
More great ideas Robbie! You are my go to for gardening as we live in similar environments and battle the same critters (though we don’t have deer :( ) always affordable easy for those of us who are older or have limited strength or mobility. I share your videos with my friends often. I needed a larger cage for beans and climbing crops and your ideas are easy to adjust and spark creative trouble shooting solutions. Right now I’m anxious about my grapes. I have a big grape plant sprouting bunches of grapes everywhere it’s a wild mess but happy and healthy. Problem is coming as the grapes are getting bigger I have rats and squirrels waiting for them to ripen as well. How to cage all in tulle? Too many clusters to individually cover. Plant is about 12 ft high by 12 feet long and 4 feet wide. You’ve given me some ideas on how to build a big cage. Thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement.
I love this idea Robbie! I have a roll of industrial irrigation tubing in my shed from when I was making Hoola Hoops (for the record, this tubing was originally developed for hoola hoop making- as per the pro’s at the company I bought mine from). He said they usually don’t sell it unless you have an irrigation install business with license, but since I was going to use it for the originally developed purpose, he sold me a couple 100’ rolls. Now, I have a new purpose for the leftovers! Thank you!!! I’m so excited to make some of these now!!!
Thank you so much. This is a wonderful hack. I am doing a lot of container gardening this year and I am definately about to incorporate this idea into it. You are brilliant :)
Love all of your ideas Robbie I have so many solar fountains and just did 2 fountains with the power banks . Now you come up with this and I was going to buy some of the fencing until I watched this this morning thank you thank you thank you . I retired 2 years ago and gardening has been my savior as well as crafting grocery’s have been ridiculous as the market so container gardening is wonderful
Wow you are a genius! I just came from Lowe's and bought the tubing everything you suggested I have tried and it works great making my gardening adventure easier and enjoyable ,I also have humming birds here in Ga..
I love this idea! I can't wait for it to be warm enough for me to plant my starts outside. I know whatever I need to build to support my garden, I can do it with the tubing. I have already built a support system for my GreenStalk for my bush and pole beans. With this tubing, the sky is the limit.
I found that at Habitat for Humanity for 3 or 5 bucks. I was able to make a cross Easter basket handle for my large fabric pots and drape my tulle over them. Thanks for your ideas.
You are so brilliant! I've been using so many of your ideas with success and now I've got to try this out. Thank you!
I agree. . . her tips really work and help us! She's so awesome : )

Thank you Robbie. Us older gardeners are by ourselves and this is wonderful!
You will love this, even Me, I do most all of my gardens my self, this makes it easy 😊❤️ thanks
Wow!!! I was going to try it with old garden hose. This is much lighter and the sun won’t turn it into mush. Great job!!!! Thank ya for sharing 💞
Thank you ! I’m 85 years old and can’t believe I can grow a patio garden using your innovative ideas. I was just trying to figure out how to make a trellis for my plants . Thank you for solving the problem in such an amazing way !
Wonderful discovery, Robbie!!! Now I am trying to decide how I can work it into MY garden!! Thanks so much!!! Have a wonderful evening!!
This is wonderful ..So helpful for people that cannot deal with ways to haul products and all the heavy lifting.Thankyou for sharing this.

Talking about bringing stuff home …. I’m a Senior and in 2020 I discovered Amazon and now I have EVERYTHING delivered. 😁
great idea, I have an old hose I was going to throw away, I might cut it up and see if I can use it for connectors, the tubing you have looks like a hose to me. thanks! Keep the creative juices flowing.

Hi Deb. . . yes I agree. . .you can always hear the excitement in her voice. Her passion is natural.

Awesome video Robbie. I love how your tips are affordable and sustainable. Your channel has been a blessing to me and I thank you for being YOU!
Thank you so much 😊 ❤️
Thank you Robbie ‼️ You have such a creative mind 💛
This is awesome, I love it Robbie. Thank you for the idea! I will be doing this and wrapping bird netting for vining plants and tomato’s.
Love it! Will make it for a light shade clothe over my raise beds during those hot blazing sun days.
That might be the hot ticket for my new runner beans. I’ve been working on a way to support them. Thanks Robbie 👍
My NEW FAVORITE THING in the Garden and MORE
Definitely a good idea. Thank you for sharing. Just made my tulle cover the other day and my strawberries are safe :) This is something I will definitely try.

Dear Robbie thank you so much!! I’m implementing all of your ideas!! I can’t garden anymore without the tule also!! 😘🥰😍
can't wait to see what you have in mind for the fountains

Exactly! We can do this too without breaking our bank!

WOW!! I have a Home Depot down the street from me! Thanks, Robbie!!!!!

I just started using the ladder mesh for tomatoes. Saw on another gardeners channel. So inexpensive! Works great
I knew I was saving my big box of old irrigation hose that's been sitting in the shed for 3 years for some reason. Thanks Robbie.

Thanks! I recently bought snap together tomato stakes. Because of the very high winds here, I secured them with rebar stakes.
FANTASTIC IDEA, ONCE AGAIN YOU HAVE MADE MY GARDENING EFFORTLESS AT 67 yrs young MY HANDS AND WRISTS DON'T HAVE THE STRENGTH THEY USED TO ,BRAVO ROBBIE 👏 YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN ❤

Hey Robbie! Brilliant! Such an innovative & lightweight solution!

Would old garden hose work too?

Thanks so much! 😊 I just love this in so many ways
You never cease to amaze!! Clever and brilliant doesn’t even come close to describing you, Robbie! Thank you.
Oh my! This will save so much time.
Oh yes! Thanks 😊
This is great! I've been trying to figure out how to make trellises on the cheap and I believe your system is just the ticket! Thanks so much!
What a cute little puppy too.
That's pretty cool, easy to take down at season end, cheap, multi purpose.... 💓
Great idea! Thank-you! I have an old drip hose that the fire ants use as a highway. I might just use it the build a trellis for my newest grape vine.
I just love your use of outdoor chairs... bending and stooping is just not easy anymore... they put the toats within reach... and the tubing for trellises is a great idea...

I was born in 86 and played with lincoln logs as a kid. 😶😄
Well, I am older and they use to be made of wood...LOL
Awesome ideas I am ready to try it thanks for sharing
Thank you, thank you, thank you , you are so helpful, thank you !!!,
Love your idea sooo good, ❤
I used old hoola hoops over some of the pots I planted Sugar Baby Watermelons in , which are amazing by the way . Then covered in tulle.
I found that at Habitat for Humanity for 3 or 5 bucks. I was able to make a cross Easter basket handle for my large fabric pots and drape my tulle over them. Thanks for your ideas.
Wow! another great idea!! Will use it. Thank you.
Brilliant idea!
Re ladder mesh, keep a wire cutting tool like a needle nose in the car’s glove box.
I'll try it ... TFS!...🌺
Too good hello you thanks.
I am watching this again because could not remember size it is great. Can not wait to try it. Thinks
My new favorite thing for the garden ❤️💕😊
This is brilliant! And I have all the materials! Thanks for sharing! 🍅🌿🌱🌱🌿🍅🫑
I bet you will love this 😊 thanks
