LAST WEEKEND I WENT TO DOLLAR TREE AND PURCHASED THE LAUNDRY BASKET , LAYED TULLE OVER IT AND SECURED IT WITH STAPLES LIKE YOU DO….IT WORKED. THANKS ROBBIE FOR SHARING ALL YOUR WONDERFUL IDEAS 🤗
I'm going to work on my tote lids and maybe a bucket lid tomorrow...I got my stripz cut! BUT lupus sucks I needed a few days go recover! Lol I will not quit...I can do this...much love to you robbie from the east coast! (Ny)
You have absolutely revolutionized gardening AND everything pertaining to the needs to garden!! I have no idea how you come up with these amazing ideas, but please keep sharing them. Love them! AND, have you noticed how most of the 18 gal Sterilite totes are now out of stock at WalMart? I am SO glad that I listened to your suggestion to grab them, right then, if I liked the color! I ordered 8 Burgandy-decided to order another set. Nope. Gone.
OMG, with this statement, how can I stop, LOL, LOVE IT. I do have more coming very soon. Please share this, as this can save our plants for us to eat, Thank you SO much, Take care!
@@gourdsbyjm I did too! Ha I actually went to 2 WalMarts and bought up 14 Grey's. THEN I went to 2 thrift stores and bought 7-none with fitting lids. THEN I ordered 8 Fushia, 6 Green, 6 Red, and am waiting on my order of 6 Burgandy!! Ha But, I firmly believe what the gov't is saying about food and fuel shortages. Having lived over 3 years in a Socialistic country, I am VERY familiar with how the shortages affect daily lives.
Your garden is impressive! I am so happy to find your channel! Your videos are visually appealing and informative. I’m gardening for my 3rd year and I am so thankful to learn from knowledgeable UA-cam gardeners like you. Thank you for sharing your passion, tips and tricks. I have started making garden update videos on my channel. I just need to perfect filming it’s very challenging in the bright sun. Plus I get dirt all over the place!! I hope we can learn more from each other and that we both have fantastic harvests!
Thanks souch for your creativity Robbie. I'm here looking at my dreadful vinyl blinds that need to come out of this window because of the warped/ broke louver and I will repurpose them for this same task. Last summer I saw the squirrels munching daily on my squash. So now I'm armed with a viable solution. Happy Gardening😊!
You should! I am going to do the same for some of my strawberry plants, but be sure to open them in the morning when flowering so the bees can come in to pollinate them, and be sure to cover late in the day, OR you can self pollinate them fairly easy, THANK YOU
Thank you ! I just love your videos ! Just wish I lived where you do ! I love San Diego ! My favorite over night as a Flight Attendant ! 32 years went by so fast ! Now I am at home in Cleveland Ohio ! I got all my toats, buckets, etc all ready to go ! I just have to wait on the damn weather! Thanks again !
I LOVED THIS IDEA!! I MADE 4 OF THESE 2 WEEKS AGO AND THEY WORK AND ARE VERY STURDY. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY STORMS THIS WAY YET BUT I AM SURE THEY WILL HOLD UP JUST PERFECTLY. ROBBIE, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE BRILLIANT AND FUN IDEAS! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AND YES I DO EAT WHAT I GROW LOL!
Good-day Robbie! This is just what I need for my grow bags withmy cantaloupe seedlings...I'm making one this evening. I love the ones I made for my totes...I use them all the time. ❤
Thanks for sharing! Your ideas are fantastic and creative! As a little girl, I loved playing in my father's tool chest. His motto was "Put a piece on it" to modify something to make it work/better. I use grow bags and a Green Stalk planter in Zone 7b (NY) on my small balcony. Using the knowledge you have provided, I can see myself making domes for my grow bags using 4 bamboo stakes, some irrigation tubes for the inside perimeter, dome formations across the top from stake to stake, and some tulle. Using the tubing and bamboo stakes, I can raise and lower the height of the dome. You have opened my eyes to how versatile the irrigation tubing is for gardening. I plan to use some to rig up a trellis system to support my climbing crops in my Green Stalk planter. I'm gonna finish binge-watching the videos on your channel so I can learn more gardening tips and tricks. Thanks again. 😃
Thanks Again Robbie you have the best ideas for the garden crafts know my lettuce and kale and my cabbage will be safe from bugs squirrels and birds thanks again for sharing this with us.
I love all the ideas you give us to protect our plants. I don't use buckets for my garden because they don't seem to last long enough in my low desert AZ garden. But your covers can be used right in my in ground garden and garden pots!!!
This is just brilliant, I have planted in those hug plastic laundry baskets with rope handles for years and decided to get the 36 x 24 inch mesh laundry bags to place over the tomato cages to keep out the insect that lays eggs for the pesky horn worms.
Hello. Robbie and Kitty. Nora here. I Love your crowns ! Your Tulle crown and Kitty,s also. You are very Brilliant, your mind is always thinking. I think it is from your Healthy Diet you and Gary Eat What you Grow, and Gluten free and all. How much Tulle do you buy? I see on the link you put up that you save like $ 1.50 when you buy Three. is it the 54 x 40 yds that you buy? Would three rolls go along way?? I, m going to make some these new idea ones you made today.. i have a bunch of pails around my house. May is around the corner. I bought some more flower seeds today. i Love the smell of Sweet Peas, i have them with my Rose garden. Take care. Nora and Manuel.I have all kinds of critters to keep out of the pails. Love it !! Thanks.
Thank you Robbie I had that idea when I seen the one for your totes and thanks for showing us it does work I was going to try it anyway and now I know I will y'all have a blessed day.💗😊👍
Another useful idea, thank you. A good way for me to protect my lettuce and bok choy when I move outside. My mother in law is struggling with squirrels raiding her bird feeders. I bought some tulle and will be tying bows on the stem of her feeders to discourage the squirrels from climbing up them.
Those are so neat Robbie! All of them you’ve made! I hate them ole slugs. They try to eat up everything and other ole bugs! That I guess would stop them. You were so creative making these. Those are great!! Thanks Robbie! ♥️
I literally just spent way more than I thought i would on some wire to make these! But I've been outdone! Behahaha! To be fair I listened to my husband and let him pick the "wire" for me...lol I wound up having to braid 3 pieces together...100 ft of wire made me 2...yes 2 domes! Lol this is wayyy better
Hello Garden Angel. I really appreciate this idea, you are an inspiration to me an I’m such a scaredy-cat of snails etc.. especially when the economy is horrible. I have to learn and I’ve done just that on your channel. Thank you
thank you Robbie. Your craft skills are off the chart and your creativity. they kind of look like crowns for a queen costume also. I am trying to cut my lids, I am having a hard time cutting time. I am also trying a knife, it is still hard. I might need power towels.
Always, always thinking 🤔 Robbie!!!! You better take a cat nap after no sleep coming up with all your wonderful ideas 😂 !!! Did the hummingbirds fledge/leave the nest yet??? Thanks so much!! Have a wonderful evening!!
Thanks Robbie. I have a major squirrel problem digging up potted plants. I have made the ones Robbie has suggested but do not have nearly enough tote lids. Can anyone suggest another cheap way to make these using something other than tote lids? Thank you for your help. Have a wonderful day.
Do you think the holes in the tulle are small enough to keep aphids out. I currently use the insecet garden cloth to keep the white butterflies off my cabbage and that works great. I have tulle but I don't want to waste the growing season if it doesn't work. Thank you for the great ideas.
I haven't been here before, but why not use the containers that go with the lids as the gardening containers themselves? That way less waste and plants like depth for certain vegetables. Just a thought.
You and husband are amazing! Inventive ideas! Recycling ideas! WOW 👍💓
I have MORE coming, for us to all grow and save Money!!! Keep Watching, THANK YOU!

I was just thinking about a cover for my buckets and here it is thank you. Keep those videos coming. sharing to Facebook
Go for it! PLEASE DO SHARE THIS, Thank you SO Much!
I cut window blind slats to label my plants.
PERFECT, and you should be able to make a top with some blind slates too.
We cut up old cottage cheese, cool whip or sour cream containers to label our plants.

Robin, can you please share the place where you buy the tulle!?
Hi Robbie I ❤ your channel...how would I keep one that I could put on the ground but I'm afraid it will blew away
Perhaps leave the tulle extra long & then use a rock or other heavy object to anchor to the ground. Robbie probably has a better idea though! :-)
Hi Mrs. Robbie! I'm new to gardening so I don't know anything at this point. Do you need holes in the buckets for water drainage?
I haven't been here before, but why not use the containers that go with the lids as the gardening containers themselves? That way less waste and plants like depth for certain vegetables. Just a thought.
What can you recommend if I don’t have any lids.
Will that work it there is going to be frost?
I think these would be great used directly in a garden bed as well to keep offending butterflies and their worm munchers of young plants.
How can bees 🐝 and other pollinators get to the plants 🪴 when the vegetable plants are covered?
Using an old venetian blind could save a lot of cutting.
yes, double the tulle if you have to fight off grasshoppers who insist on getting into your swiss chard o.-
Nice women good ideas
Thank you 😊
